Realistic or Modern Fate's Flame

The sorceress entered the hut and up to Marcus, placing a hand on his back lightly. "Ah, the son of the emperor has finally decided to pay me a visit?" The witch, full of fake beauty, circled him slowly, eying him as if he was her prey and she was the predator.

"What can I do for you this fine night?" She purred.

Marcus looked at the woman, she looked completely fake and didn't inspire him trust. He didn't know why he came here or why, it was just some kind of force that told me to go there. He winced hearing that label everyone called him, the son of the emperor. Marcus looked at her circling him, where was she when he needed her? Obviously, if she was a sorceress she knew what happened, why he was here. He just looked at her straight in the eyes as a smirk appeared, '' What you can do..It's now too late for you to do anything..She's already gone'' he said almost feeling like he was getting hit at every words. He honestly just felt like grabbing that woman and strangling her to death. She was nothing but a useless, fake witch. Tho, he was restraining himself from doing such dirty work.

The sorceress put on a wry smile and shook her head, her eyes sparkling a bit of red in the dim light. "Tut, tut, tut. Hasn't your father taught you any manners?" She let out a sigh before she chuckled. "Then why are you here, my dear?"

His father's action ringing in his head. He was the reason why she died, the reason for all of this, the reason why Marcus lost all respect for him. He looked at the sorceress looking at her eyes that just spoke evil, ''Revenge..'' he said the first thing in his mind. He honestly lost himself, the city didn't count anymore for him. The people were the one that killed her, his father who he trusted with his life killed her, they were all to blame.

The sorceress' eyebrows raised high in amusement. "Revenge you say, dear boy? You have come to the right place for that is my specialty." She walked over to her tools and then looked at him from over her shoulder. "What kind of revenge are you looking for and against whom?"

'' The one that can match how I feel, I want my father to feel the same amount of pain he caused me.'' Marcus said with venom in his voice.

"That can be arranged..." The witch said as she lightly traced a finger over a silver dagger. "... But with a price."

Looking at the silver dagger and back at her, was it really worth the price? Anastasia was the love of his life, his father took her away with one stab and here he was asking to do the same. Take away the most precious thing to him. He watched the woman, '' What is it?'' he asked. He was vengeful, but was also calculus. What if this woman wanted something that was just too much for him to give.

"I am going to be blunt with you..." The witch said with a bit of menace in her voice and turned to look at him. "I want your heart."

Ana's eyes flashed to Marcus. He wouldn't agree to this, would he? She'd always assumed that he'd give his heart to another but not in this way. Guilt flooded her as mixed feelings and thoughts rushed through her head. On the one hand, he would be reunited with her again, but she didn't want him to die to do it. She wanted him to live a long and happy life, for him to fall in love and have children.

"For what use?" Marcus asked. He might be angry and sad but not that impulsive. Giving his heart meant death at this point and he didn't want to die. Not yet.

"My dear, why would you care if you live or die? Your beloved has already past on..." The witch said coldly, glaring at the boy. She could bring him down in just a second, he was no match for her. Her tone dropped to a more seductive tone after she sighed, "Do you not want to be with her? Your darling Anastasia?"

Marcus laughed losing his mind, '' My life was almost perfect just a few days ago...Now I lost everything. EVERYTHING! My love..My trust...my sanity.'' He trailed of still thinking out loud. '' Just take it. Take it.'' he said as tears were flooding his eyes. Maybe if he died he could meet her again. Well at least he wont have to live this hell anymore. '' I just want all of them burn to hell. '' he said as he pointed to his heart.

Anastasia's eyes filled with tears as she screamed. "No! Please Marcus don't do this! I can't watch you die! You deserve to live, please Marcus.... just hear me. Live your life, go forth and be happy..." she cried out, her hands hovering over where his would be. "Please my love, don't do this." Tears were rolling down her cheeks but she did nothing to wipe them from her face as her bright blue eyes became fixed on him.

Decimius looked down at his body. Where a gaping wound should be there was nothing. His tongue had also returned. In both those areas there was a tingling feeling. He felt more confident. He had nothing to lose here. He started to return to where he had left Anastasia. He needed her.

Ana turned away and hurried out of the room, sitting down on the floor outside of the house as she wrapped her arms around him. She couldn't watch him die, she just couldn't.

Decimius saw her pain from a distance and ran as fast as he could, tripping ip a few times over his own clumsy feet, towards her. He sat down next to her and hugged her, seeing her tears

Anastasia wrapped her arms around Decimius as she cried. Her heart was filled with grief, despite the fact that he had not died yet and she just wanted to be distracted while it happened.

Looked down at her sadly "I'm sorry for how I was when I was...well yknow...alive" he said, his usual shyness creeping back into his voice

"It's alright, Demicius," she said softly. "I just.... I don't know what I did to annoy you so much," she continued as she pulled away from the hug and wiped her tears away on the backs of her hands.

He gulped "you didn't annoy me" he said looking at her "not in the slightest" he so badly wanted to take her hand but she was upset so something bad was probably happening "for so long I wanted to tell you how I felt...since the day we first met. But I was incapable. How much I loved you scared me and the fear that if I did tell you then you would hate me forever" he seemed to be blushing though it was difficult to tell "I don't know what is happening now but I wanted to tell you at least once" he looked into her eyes. They were so perfect and he almost lost his tongue. Again. But he managed to stumble on "I...I love you"

Anastasia's eyes widened. "What?" she asked rhetorically, swallowing hard. "Decimius.... I don't know what to say...." she trailed off looking at him with bright blue, red rimmed eyes. She took his hand and squeezed it in a friendly gesture. "I know that must have been hard for you to tell me," she continued softly, turning her face to him as she moved in slowly and placed a small soft kiss on his cheek. She didn't want to dismiss his love, and she didn't want to hurt his feelings but he had to know that her heart was spoken for. It always would be. "You're a really good friend Decimius," she continued was a small smile. "I'm sorry I couldn't return your love..."

"I know" he looked down "I let myself down. I made you think that I hated you all because I couldn't get the words out" he stood up "I wanted to tell you...he would have hidden it"
