Talia heard Ma’arz ask his question, and she shook her head slightly. She decided it might deserve an answer. She didn’t even see Lux’s explanation.

“Because the person who gave me that also saved my life. Family does that. They stab you in the back and then act like it’s all ok.” She turned around and headed to the training room, fists only, ready to break something instead of crying. Lux probably was worse, though. She lied to him, and he had trusted her. She was a lot like her brother, she guessed.

Lux's eye starts to turn a little less red as he sees what his actions did to his teammate. He is still pissed, and a little hurt, but he's felt this all before. He'll be fine. He takes his pad back and follows behind Talia. Knocking on the wall to try to get Talia's attention.

When Talia made it to the training room, however, she discovered that it was closed off. There was a sign that said “AREA CLOSED FOR REPAIR”. There was also a piece of paper that said “Some blue eyed jerkwad broke more than a few dummies.”

Talia saw the sign, and her face flushed a darker grey. For her that was her face draining of color. Lux must’ve been really mad. She sighed, and placed her forehead on the door.

“I need to go apologize....” She murmured to herself, before hearing the tap on her shoulder. She jumped, her hand flying to her back but relizing she didn’t have a weapon. She stopped when she realized it was only Lux. She was glad she didn’t flip him over.

“Oh. Hey.... um.” She paused, before speaking rapidly. “Look, I know you probably came over to punch me or whatever but before you do, I’m sorry. Really really sorry. I never meant to hurt you, and I just really wanted to clear the air, but I made it worse and now your mad, so have at it.” She said, taking a stance. “One free punch. Go for it.”

He looks surprised at her stance, and her telling him to punch her. He shakes his head, puts a hand on her shoulder. He gives her a quick and awkward hug since he's never hugged before, then pulls away. He shows her his pad. "I'm sorry," is all it says. She could see that his eye is still a little red, with only a tinge of blue, but purple is still visible. He has lingering feelings on the event, but he has forgiven her. He pulls out the necklace from his cloak, and offers it to her.

Talia tilted her head slightly, pretty confused. “Why are you sorry? You didn’t do anything wrong?” She said, after the pretty awkward hug. You don’t get a lot of hugs in Talia’s normal line of work, and she guessed Lux didn’t either.

She paused when she saw the necklace, and she narrowed her eyes, grimacing, she gently touched it, before taking it and sighing.

"I made you feel a plethora of emotional distress. I realize that I may have gone too far. I just got used to not being lied to because I haven't communicated with anyone for about a year before joining Susan's fleet. I forgive you for lying for my personal benefit. I only need a little while, and it'll be like nothing happened. I am mad at Susan, though." He writes, and shows to her, taking a minute or two to write his thoughts.

Talia wrapped her hands around the pendant, and looked to Lux. After she read the note, she felt a little better, but at the same time a little worse. He hadn’t communicated with anyone for a year....... sure, Talia was secluded, but she still had friends. She couldn’t imagine being that lonely. Her face twisted slightly at the mention of Susan.

“You didn’t over react. I shouldn’t have lied. I know how much that can hurt someone.” The grip on the necklace tightened, and she smiled. “Let’s make a deal. No more lies. Ok? Unless it’s somthing that could seriously hurt each other, no more lies.” Then she realized he hadn’t ever lied to her. “From me especially.” She added.

He makes sure no one else is around and flips his mask up for just a fraction of a second. His young, mid-20-something, heavily scarred face had a small smile on it. He nods and puts the mask back down. He's working hard to maintain this friendship. He wants to trust her and be her friend.

Talia was..... suprised. Shocked, even, that he so easily showed her his face. She stood, blank faced for a moment, before smiling and nodding. She hadn’t seen him smile before, so that was nice.

“Good. Then if you wanna ask about Jamie...” She paused, and put the necklace back on. She was really happy that someone had found it, actually. She probably would have come back for it later.

“Feel free to.”

"I can see that you're uncomfortable with the topic of Jamie. I'll wait a while." He writes and shows her his pad. Once she sees what he wrote, he nods goodbye and heads back to the cafeteria.

Talia nodded, pretty thankful he decided to let the topic rest. She turned as he did, and skipped to walk next to him.

“Is.... it ok if I go with you? I haven’t eaten breakfast either.” She gave a nervous laugh, and a small smile, her hands clasped behind her back.

He nods at Talia. He can see her nervousness and wonders what else was on her mind. He grabs his pad and starts writing. "I'm feeling a little better. And you offered to open up, so I will as well. Ask me one question, and I'll answer it." He thinks for a second, wondering about the consequences, then adds, "I promise." He shows her his pad as they enter the cafeteria.

Talia thought about it. She took a moment, before realizing the perfect question.

“Are your eyes naturally that purplish color and the other blue? It’s really cool. Either answer that, or how old you are. Either or.” She said. They weren’t super personal, but it seemed like she was alright with that. She wasn’t a massive nosey person, unless she was in the middle of an interrogation.

There were two construction workers sitting in a table chatting about the new VR game Multiverse Mayhem. Then, they saw Lux and growled at him. “Oh, look who’s here. The guy who wrecked the training room!” One of the construction workers said before grumbling to himself “makin’ us work overtime...”

Lux writes on his pad and shows her. "25," is all it says. He hears the construction workers and holds up a finger for Talia to wait just a second. He walks along the wall into the shadows, and the construction workers lost sight of him. He carefully makes his way across the cafeteria and seems to just appear behind the workers. He has knives in his hands, and throws a paper note onto the table reading, "Perhaps it'd be better if I wrecked your paycheck? You don't know what I'm capable of." His mask and red eye boring into then construction workers backs of their heads.

Talia rolled her eyes, and grinned a little. She laughed when she saw him threaten them, her grin growing. Good lord, he was extra, wasn’t he? She grabbed some more coffee and an apple and sat down at one end of the table.

“Huh. Older than me. Dang it.” She said sarcastically. She already assumed he was older than her, but still.

“Oh yeah, how bad did you trash that place? Like, a one being ‘It only slightly exploded’ to ‘what training room?’”

The workers see Lux disappear in the shadows. “Where the hell did he go?” One of them said, unaware that Lux is right behind them. They jumped a little when Lux threw them the note. They ignored the note and turned around and saw Lux armed with his knives. “OH SHIT!” The two of them screamed as they climbed over the table and run out of the cafeteria.

Talia laughed so hard she felt tears in her eyes. She placed one of her hands on the table and started to snort as she laughed. She tried to shut up, but it was way too funny.

“Oh my GOD that was hilarious!” She said eagerly, wiping a tear from her eye. Then something one of them said came back in her mind. “Oh yeah, I’ve been meaning to ask. What’s Multiverse Mayhem?” SHe asked, her head tilted to the side but a remnant of a smile on her face.

Lux stands up, puts his knives away and grabs his note back. He realizes that all eyes are on him, and seems to disappear once again. He reappears by Talia. "I said I'm 25, but I'm not. I said that because there was a camera." He writes, then passes her a note under the table. "Soon to be 22" is what it says. Basically, he said he was 25 because in the hallway was a camera that he noticed. He really is about a month away from being 22. He starts writing on his pad again. "As for the training room...it might be cheaper to make a new one. And Multiverse Mayhem is a new game from that Nintendo company. An extremely famous and powerful company from Earth." he writes, and shows her.

Then, they hear a feminine voice in their heads. “Multiverse Mayhem is also still in development, but are giving gamers who pre-ordered it beta-access.”

Talia was about to answer, about how it was ok and how Nintendo sounded cool, when the voice rang out. She screamed, and whipped her head around.

“Ok, you heard that. Right?” She said, trying to find the source of the voice.
