All they were trying to do was be friendly. "You can't generalize my entire race from less than a fraction of my people's actions, that's prejudice!" She looked him in the eye, the joy in them replaced with something more serious. "You say all humans try to get rid of anything new...anything they don't understand...But I'm not trying to get rid of you... I wanted to befriend you...You seemed like a nice enough person. All I wanted was to get to know you." She turned her back to him. "...Well at least you know that despite this interaction...I won't judge your family or others like you because of it." She then walked out of the classroom.

Ele listened carefully, her eyebrows scrunching together as Jay explained that there was a hunter attending the school. But why would a hunter be attending a school crawling with his targets? How was he accepted in the first place? Surely, that meant he wasn’t a threat, right? She let out a sigh, “I suppose just avoid him if possible. I doubt the school would want a murder on their hands.” Whether Jay or the hunter was stronger, she couldn’t imagine it turning out well for either of them if they decided to fight. Besides, she didn’t want Jay to be put in harm’s way. She knew he had a tendency to not know when to back down. But maybe she needed to find the hunter herself - if only to keep an eye on him. Ele wasn’t the strongest nor the quickest fighter, but it couldn’t hurt to put some kind of barrier between the two.

When the bag was opened to reveal a variety of books, Ele looked over the options. Some covers looked whimsical while others seemed almost like textbooks. Finally, she pulled one with a light blue cover out of the bag. “This one!” She declared, handing it over to Jay. From the cover, it appeared to be a collection of fairy tales. Although they always say not to judge a book by its cover, she kind of had to since she didn’t understand the language. After careful studying the cover, she had determined that it was a good book.

The story had only just started when the door opened, making her jump. With all of the commotion earlier, she had totally forgotten about Jay’s roommate, even though that was her initial reason for her visit. Should she leave and give them time to get to know each other? No, last time she left, there was an issue. She quickly averted her eyes as the roommate began to change on his side of the room. Keeping her eyes on the wall, she heard him introduce himself, asking for quiet as he began to read. “Oh, I’m Ele. I didn’t mean to intrude.” Really, she didn’t want to cause trouble, but their plan of reading a book may be too loud. “Should we find somewhere else to go?” She whispered, as to not disturb Light.

Jötengaumer looked at the book Ele had chosen. A smirk formed at the pure irony of the story she chose. The simple fact of what it was actually amazing. As he was about to start reading, who he assumed was his roommate walked in. As the guy started stripping down, the thought of slaughtering him passed his mind. However, he knew Ele would be upset if he did that. Instead, he looked away and stroked his loves blonde hair "Just keep dressed in front of her please." He then adjusted so Ele was in his lap and able to see the pictures and story as he read. Just as he did so many times before. After hearing her question, he shook his head and opened the book "He said it was fine. Just....don't look over that way."

He takes a deep breath and starts to read out loud, with a sweet and somber tone, his voice flowed like silk "In the mountains outside the ancient city of Saubere, there was a monster who took the form of a blonde, eleven girl and at her side was a rabid and grotesque ogre who worked for her benefit. The ogre used his awesome might to fight and kill anyone who would come near the monster with intentions of capturing her." As he continued to read, the irony of the story she chose became more clear "The monster would give charity to the under privileged and the ogre would be at her side. She would give gold to the poor, food to the hungry and homes to the homeless. As a result, a lot of people loved the monster and viewed her as a good omen."

His hand laced into hers. The art depicting a beautiful eleven girl in a white dress, dwarfed by the monstrous ogre in the story, showing the classical view of an ogre In those times "In time though, a person of power set his sight on the monster, determined to capture her and "prove" his power. For only a great and powerful man could capture the mythical monster."

Jötengaumer laid his head on top of Ele's head. Feeling true peace. Something he only felt in moments like this. With her. He turned The page, showing more art and reading more "The man and his followers marched on the mountain, but were met by the monstrous ogre. The mighty guardian fought for three days and three nights against the powerful man. He slated many and fought with a beast like determination, until the final night, when the man and his followers killed the giant beast. With nothing in his path, he had no other obstacle to the monster, or so he thought. When he entered the monsters cave, the monster had died."

His words became deeper, as if instructing her to focus on this part "The powerful man have his mages look into the monsters death. They discovered there was no heart in her chest, for the beastly ogre that guarded her so fervently, was the monster's heart. The monster and the ogre were two forms, but one being. The ogre was her heart. By killing the ogre, the man had killed the monster and denied himself the prize he sought." Jay closed the book, but did not let her up. He held her close and gently rubbed her arm "What did you think?"

A blue rift slowly started to open in the auditorium and behind it was a group of teenagers accompanied by three adults. The rift had started to grow in size until it was big enough for the entire group to walk in at once. No one had been in the headmistress's office but the speakers still came to life with her voice. "All students of Faray high make your way to the auditorium immediately! Failure to comply with this will result in punishment, thank you!" ​

"LOOK AROUND THIS IS AMAZING RIGHT?!" She asked with pure excitement in her voice. Her eyes had been a deeper crimson, reflecting her feelings toward this new place.

Cassandra kept quiet during the entire exchange between Iris and the small boy, it was a bit amusing to see how the newbies still maintained their misconceptions about life intact. She knew that at least the boy had reasons to be weary of humans, all the hate in his mind was proof enough for her. That’s the curse of being a telepath, you get to spy on people and they can’t even tell you don’t know anything about them because… you actually do, their minds tell you exactly how they feel and what they think without a filter.

The freckled faerie had been observing the drama between Aiden, Iris, and Megan from her spot in the room. She had chosen not intervene. For one, it wasn’t her business. While she was quite familiar with the subject of humans, she could not necessarily speak for all of them or anything. After all, some humans could be decent while others could be quite disappointing. Two, she would have probably made things worse because she was not as kind by nature like Iris or Megan were. Therefore, she saw no good reason to make a move.

The sound of the unexpected announcement rang in her pointed ears, causing Quinn's golden orbs fill with confusion. Whatever the reason they were all being summoned to the auditorium, it couldn’t be good or else they wouldn’t have added the whole "failure to comply will result in punishment" or something like that to the end of the message. She had not even been there a day and there was already things happening.

"The hell..?" the red-head murmured as she rose to her feet. She glanced around at the other students in the room as she made her way to leave and report to the auditorium just as the announcement had said to.

She watched Iris and Circe then followed the both of them to the auditorium to see the rift and a group of unfamiliar people coming through it. "UHHHH" She whispered to Iris, "Do you have any idea who these people a-" Megan was cut off when Mia had tackled her. "OH FUCK HELP ME!" She tried to push Mia off.

The girl looked at the entering people and her eyes lit up even brighter. She tackled Megan and introduced herself, "HELLO! I'm Mia!!" She smiled widely and then jumped off Megan. "Oh- heh...Sorry for coming off so strong." She then looked at the rest of the growing group and only waved.

Featherine saw a portal appearing in the middle of her winter wonder decorated Auditorium/Theatre. Immediately her alarms ringed in her ears and she moved in front of the portal, her chains extended a bit and pointed their sharps ends towards it. The light orbs that were serving as illumination were now threatening bombs ready to implode should any of these invaders show any harmful intentions. ”Who are you? State your business here at once!” She flew a few centimeters above the ground, the snow and ice were trembling ready to be shot at them, they chose the wrong spot to invade her home. Right now this was her icy territory, she was ready to obliterate them all in a single move if necessary.

Then she heard the voice summoning everyone to the auditorium, not sure whether or not it was safe she kept her distance. ”What is going on?” She scanned the people entering the portal, they didn’t seemed scary enough but that could be a simple camouflage.

"OH MY JESUS- I DONT WANNA DIE!" She looked at Featherine with a look of pure terror. Mia hadn't expected to be threatened like this when she entered through the portal.

Megan sighed and shouted at Featherine. "Chill please- You're going to give these people a heart attack." The energy of the girl who had tackled her, now known as Mia, already gave Megan a headache. She was already mildly annoyed and didn't want to deal with this crap. Not today at least.

Know your place, puny mortal.” She lifted both arms, signaling the entire room that was already frozen and ready to be used. ”Can you slice me before I snap my fingers and make the ceiling fall on you? I doubt it, now put away your swords if you wish that I spare you from that ‘painful death’ you spoke about. You do not enter my house unannounced and then demand special treatment!” At this point her temper was far from cool.

With is failed attempt to be assertive last time, he opted to stay out of this one. Using his shadow, he grabbed the plate of garlic bread and had it float towards him. He found the nearest chair and sat down.

He curiously watched to commotion as he consumed an otherwise delicious meal, at least that was what other people said.
