Genkai
- a shy snowfall -
Intro:
I am seeking a few partners for something original and cute and wholesome. I like fluff and the stakes to not be raised so high that the world is about to end. I'm after someone who is easygoing and enjoys a story where the characters grow and develop, fall down but then get back up. I am not looking for danger and deception and rage and people in peril all the time. Keep in mind, I have some light plot ideas but I prefer to create a setting and character organically with each partner, not force anyone into a story and idea already conjured up.
Ideal Partner:
Someone who can post a few times a week. I don't need a post every hour or even every day...or even every 2-3 days) but I would like around 3 posts a week on average. We all have lives so I don't need constant attention as long as we're keeping things moving at a good enough pace and stay in touch.
Someone who is into the cute, light side of things. I know dark plots with tons of tragic elements are popular but I am not looking to sink my teeth into something so harsh and depressing that I myself get sad. I want something fun, no it won't always be happy but I am not looking for dark plot. No thank you.
Someone that can play as a male. I am totally comfortable playing as male myself, however I have found a ton of people only saying they play a certain gender (usually it's the girls saying they can't play males if I'm being blunt here) and I'm not going to cater to that school of thought. I am woman and I play both genders. I am happy to double but if you approach me just looking to play a girl and get away with that, keep on reading honey. I want a dynamic cast, I'd love it if we could each play 2-4 characters each who come and go as needed, but at the very least I would like a male writer or someone into playing both genders as I am.
Someone who can post at least three paragraphs. I can give upwards of ten myself, but I don't like to unless I'm doing a summary or a skip. That said, I want someone who is passionate for writing and enjoys rich detail.
Someone who communicates well. If you have a problem, tell me and we can fix it together. If you have an issue and you hold onto your resentment, it is bound to come out in your writing. Or you'll ghost. Honestly, ghosting is okay in my book. I don't like it but it happens. But communication should prevent ghosting from happening. I'm patient and pretty flexible as a partner and most things I can go along with. But if making a story is hard, I will walk away so please be clear and be motivated and remember that both of us should be happy with our progression. Otherwise, what's the point?
Be open to maybe putting canon characters into original AU settings?
(Optional: Be Michael Fassbender)
Settings:
I like the modern world very much, like college or a small town or a big city. I am very familiar with Japan. I can also enjoy EU based settings too. I am kinda 'meh' on settings in America, maybe because I like in NA and find it boring.
Another setting might be modern day but with an emphasis on an online game. Think something akin to dot hack. So something light in sci-fi?
I also enjoy adding fantasy to the modern world but only in subtle ways like adding say bending (fire, water, air, earth) elements or maybe magical runes or spells (like Harry Potter?). However, I am totally down for a pure medieval fantasy setting too. I like small towns or small kingdoms, nothing too big that we can't handle the world building.
I like light historical fantasy like adding fantasy to say Victorian England or maybe it some kind of supernatural noir type thing.
Another possible setting would be going back and forth from fantasy to reality, I do enjoy that or some kind of mirror reality.
Dynamics:
I would love to play a witch or mage or sorceress either in a fantasy or modern fantasy setting. Maybe a princess mage?
I do like the idea of a female knight protecting a prince or perhaps the prince is some kind of noble thief come nightfall.
Perhaps a group of friends could band together in a modern story or fantasy and just go around helping people in various towns, a small quest type story could unfold?
I am a sucker for a fish out of water situation where someone from a fantasy world stumbles into the modern world or vice versa. Maybe some small scale prophecy leads the way for a plot.
I would love to play a diner owner in some rural part of Japan.
One gender pretending to be another is also fun (I blame 90s manga and k-dramas here) as long as the plot isn't just about a singular character's mastery of disguise. I would love to spin this in a fantasy way somehow.
Master/Student dynamics are fun, in any setting.
Pretending to be marriage or together is also a fun situation to put characters in and watch them actually catch feelings.

So just some general musings. If anyone is interested in chatting more, please reach out. I'm pretty chill so if we wanna talk inspiration or fandom or hot celebs, let me know. Thank you.
I'll try to edit this as needed.
My interest is still primarily in fandom based RPs, however I have been considering getting back into original stories so hopefully I can.
