Forced Fates OOC thread

You can ask questions about the RP, shoot ideas my way, character plot planning, or just talk to each other about random stuff.




I will say that if enough people are willing to join, I might add another kingdom (another set of character spots). Also after all or most of the character sheets are in, I was thinking of having a ball in Elphanor to 'celebrate the engagements'. Where the characters can meet BEFORE being arranged to each other. I was also thinking announcing the couples in the IC thread (a NPC will give the announcement in one of my character posts),




What do you guys think/feel about this?

RP Time Line​

I think that's a perfect idea! Letting the characters get to know / converse with each other before the arranging begins! Maybe they'll get along. Maybe they won't! It'll be great to have that sort communication with others before they went their separate ways or so.

Hello there! I'm new to this site and trying to find my way around. I came across your roleplay and was interested in the idea of it. I do have a few questions though, I hope you don't mind.


Where would we reserve characters? I see this OOC forum has only two posts, but there's more than two people signing up with characters...did they send you their reservations? Should I be doing that as well?


Do the races differ in how they appear? For example, would an Oni look different from a Djinn? Any characteristics from each race, or can we take some creative liberty on that/


Also, is there an art style you prefer for the character? I'm looking at doing the Prince from the ice kingdom, and was wondering if you preferred anime images or realistic illustrations.

Although I'm not the creator, but I'm one of the members! The creator made three characters that she made so she could rp with. There's another section in this thread that says "Character Sign Up" there's a list of character roles you can choose from and those that are available and does not say, reserved. You can freely pick and choose! As for reservations, it's actually not required but a form of communication to tell the creator you are interested and to hold that spot for you, just in case someone else takes the role you want. So, since I had taken a while to make my character, probably a few hours, I PM msssged her or tagged her in a post in this thread to ask her if I can reserve the Gai's commoner position, and she would keep it reserved for at least two days (:


The characters would look different in races because they are different species, I would assume. (For the picture you need to provid, I sometimes have trouble finding good pictures, so I tried to correlate my character to her personality and how she would best be presented.) I believe in her coding section of the sign up , and if you click "royal" then there should be a description of where she would


Like an anime or digital rpg type of picture.

Since you're new to the site, you might not be able to PM me reserves or character sheets (you can only start using PM after 24 hours after you sign up and after ten posts). If you can us the PM system, that's great. If not, you can just use the OOC thread. You can simply just post what spot(s) you want, and then I'll reserve them for ya'.


For the most part, the races look human with the exception of: Faaras (the animal-transform race), Oni (the demon-like race), and Uranus (the angel-like race) that would have animal ears/tail or wings. Other than that, you can take some creative liberties.


The Iroldak (ice) prince is already on reserve for someone else. I do still have the Ruthen (desert) prince still open. I prefer anime or digital art (which can be on the realistic side) images.

I'm sorry to inform you, but someone PMed me a Ruthen Prince character sheet to me earlier. It only had a few minor things wrong with it, so I let them have the character spot. Which was the RP's last male spot. BUT!





I currently have three characters. I only took three because I thought I might have a hard time filling up spots. Two of my characters are male and one is a Prince Character, who I wouldn't mind giving up. I would enjoy RPing as Piper and Tovas (my commoners) more than I would Lavitz (my Sedrio Prince) because I'm not the greatest RPing with egoist type characters. I love them on CS, but my execution isn't the best.


I could re-open the spot for ya' if you want. Plsu this way I'll only be in charge of two characters instead of one.

The RP has begun! For Piper and Tovas, I'm just having them receiving the news while giving a peak of their daily lives. You guys are free to have your characters already in Elphanor, leaving for Elphanor, or just receiving the news.

Since we got most of the character intro posts are up, there's a few things I should mention. Seeing that Elphanor is a floating island, how are the characters going to get up there? I was thinking steampunk like airships (since Alcatraz are inventors as well as potion makers).




Also with the ball, I was thinking it could be a masquerade ball. So the guest and characters will wear masks. After the announcement of the couples is finished, the couples will unmask their partner.

I don't know. That seems a little too modern.

Whew...finally pumped out an intro. I hope it's up to par! My computer was being kind of wonky and I wanted to make sure I could work on the same level as you guys, so I tried really hard. >_< I don't know that I've ever written a post so long! This RP is gonna be awesome!

I for real feel your pain. I was considering maybe offering to create another character to make sure we had all the roles, but..lawdy, I cannot imagine doing another intro post like what I just did! I'm so proud! CrucialStar is right! Take your time! You can do it!!!!!
