A Sad Remnant of a Forgotten Time

(Play this for dramatic effect)

The year is 2300, humanity is putting itself back together piece by piece. Nations have started to form in the wake of the death of the enclave and Caesar's legion, along with the NCR being pushed back out of Nevada. However, humans are still humans trying to kill each other with sharpened sticks. Now, presidents, emperors, prime ministers, and kings are convinced they are meant to own what's left of the United States. As we know all too well

War.....war never changes.

Loyalty (Decreases chance of rebellion, defection, and desertment)

Country History:

Territory(outlines on map above):

Country Name: The (New) Republic of Texas

Head of State: Governor Edwards Ferra

Country Specialty:

-Loyalty

Country History: Texas was a powerhouse for the United States, but that changed during the Great War, the vast breadbasket and extensive industrial complexes are now either irradiated or destroyed by the atomic hellfire, and while the people remain hungry they still hold the unbreakable will to fight raiders, many artifacts of pre-war times such as the Capital in Austin and The Alamo are staples of Texan's undeniable ferocity against overwhelming and impossible odds, finding that one way to come out on top.

The Republic was created in 2087 with the collection of tribes around central Texas vowing support for one another in hopes of becoming legends. copying many ideals from Pre-War Republic of Texas documents from mid 1800s and took three years of changes to create the now standing Republic. Governor Cassia Terra was the first Governor of the Republic and served for 10 years, since she brought all the tribes together into a newly founded nation before stepping down.

Territory: Texas

Accepted:

Bonus:

All American-Beef: due to Texas' massive ranches, your nation gets a bonus to food.

Penalty:

Oiligarchy: Very powerful people seek the oil rumored to be in Texas, you are more likely to experience an attack by an NPC nation. In addition, greedy citizens are more likely to stage a rebellion (circumvented by the loyalty trait)

@jacunliffe I haven't been getting notifs, so I thought I'd tag you, CS is up, and I'm working on the thread.

ZeronicX did it correctly, just follow that example, and if you have any questions, ask. The CS is on page one towards the bottom.

This is my first nation roleplay, and it's been a little more than a minute since I played Fallout New Vegas. Hope I don't mess up too much here yet. Not sure how far you want me to go back with the history so I just went all the way back to the beginning of Fallout 3 where most of my area's history is focused on. Also, is there a date range that this roleplay is happening? Also, if I'm not supposed to put this info here, I'll move it to the appropriate place.

The motto of New Columbia

flag_zpsg5uka94s.png

Country Name: New Columbia

Head of State: President John Fonte (Faceclaim: Daniel Craig)

159044623_9ccec1.gif

Country Specialty

-Navy: Having access to the Chesapeake Bay and the harbor at Norfolk was the perfect setup for Fonte to divert funding to training the sea-born military. The surrounding countries know about New Columbia's Sea Dogs (as their affectionately called) and some have placed a careful eye on the whereabouts of their placement patterns around the Bay, especially towards the South East as the battleships and training submarines tend to... drift down there during practice missions.

Country History (Note: I purposely left out some stuff that I didn't think was important. I didn't know where to begin, so this is all me trying to make sense of things. It will surely be edited at a later date.):

Part I: The Resource Wars

The history of Columbia dates back to the Resource Wars of 2052, the series of conflicts that began in April, 2052 between the European Commonwealth and the Middle East for oil. Eventually exhausted, many nations withdraw from the EC as the U.N. tried to keep the peace. On July 26th, the United Nations was disbanded. In 2069, after the United States became involved in the war, Canada was mostly staying out of the conflict. Unfortunately for the maple leaf, the United States increasingly drew upon the Canadian resources for the war effort as the American nearly exhausted their own country. As 2072 approached vast stretches of Canadian wilderness were destroyed, and other resources in Canada were stretched to the breaking point. Many Americans referred to Canada as Little America, and Canadian protests were unheard. As riots sprang up in Canadian cities in an effort to gain media attention, the United States continued to ignore the Canadian people. An attempted sabotage of the Alaskan pipeline was all the military needed as an excuse to begin its annexation of Canada. Fast forwarding to 2076, Canada was officially annexed by the United States. While forceful, the annexation provided the United States with the necessary resources to continue fighting the Middle East. Meanwhile, the Alaskan Pipeline was swarmed ten times over with rioters. The American Military Police were ordered to shoot any protesters on sight by the President at the time. As a result, the borders of Alaska became volatile and fractured, with the incoming flux of Chinese and the Canadians that still
fallout_3_12230579237288.jpg
were occupying the border.*(End of canon information)

Meanwhile, Columbia's water border was infiltrated by Russians. Most of the attacks that crippled the Columbian beach cities were from the Russian navy. The national capital at the time, Washington D.C. was especially hit hard by the Russian military and was occupied by their army until a brave movement by Capt. Peter Fonte flushed them out of the Capital and right into an ambush. Most of the Russians were slaughtered, but the 4th Infantry never received their rightful recognition. (*canon) The Great War began in 2077, and without proper shelter nor warning the 4th Infantry and all the other military forces were obliterated in under an hour by the bombings.(*)

Part II: Chaos and Rebirth

The aftermath of the bombs caused mass destruction and chaos, nearly freezing the entire country in mid-war. Soldiers’ skeletons remained where they fell, weapons were disintegrated midfire, and the war suddenly came to an eerie end.

With the surfacing of the Lone Wanderer in 2277, the entire East Coast was decrepit and in need of rebuilding. The legacy of the Lone Wanderer strongly influenced the fate of what was then known as the Capital Wasteland. However, by2297 the Lone Wanderer had disappeared from theCapital Wasteland, and their fate was unknown. Most citizens of the wasteland had a story about the Wanderer, and many of his or her actions had gone down as local legend. Much of the documentation of their actions had however became flawed, and were riddled with conflicting reports.

Territory: Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey (?), Virginia. The inlet of the Chesapeake Bay.
