Before you dive into your character skelly, keep in mind that cancer is not the only disease that threatens children’s lives. This isn’t a “The Fault in Our Stars” situation, get creative when you are making your character! I do ask that you do research on the disease too, no one wants to read about some made up disease or see things not lining up. Go all Grey’s Anatomy with this, I don’t care as long as it is believable. Now that you’ve read that, have at it!
Please use the OOC to reserve a spot & I only hold reserves for 24 hours.

Traits:
+Intelligent, Brave, Outspoken
-Restless, Independent, Closed off
Personality:
"Don't get to close."
Shut up and act like a lady, two things Camryn has never been good at. She’s strong willed
and independent, never letting someone influence her decisions. From the beginning she has
been forced to put on a brave face, taking everything that’s been thrown at her. Everything that
she has gone through has only made her stronger, but more closed off. When dealing with trialing
times she puts her walls up, afraid to let anyone in. Her independence should be a good thing, but
for her, it’s a hindrance. She pushes people away when they try to help her. To her, the company of
a good book is more important than the company of a person.
Background:
"One word, hospital."
From the moment Camryn was born she was a walking miracle. On April 12th, 1997 she was
brought into the world, 2 months premature. Her mother suffered from pre-eclampsia during the
pregnancy, causing her to have to deliver Camryn early. The doctors weren't sure if she would
survive the next month due to a heart abnormality, her heart valve wasn't functioning properly,
and she frequently had arrhythmia issues. At a month old she had her first surgery, a conduit was
put in to help with the blood flow. Everything went smoothly but the doctors still had their doubts.
A month passed an she was still there, then a year went by. Defying the odds stacked against her
Camryn survived. Her heart condition started to get better, as long as she didn't participate in any
physical activities. When she was 12 she had a heart failure. The conduit that was put in pace
simple didn't fit anymore. She was rushed to the emergency room, going through yet another
surgery, replacing the conduit.
After the surgery she spent most of her time in her parents library, filling her mind with useless
facts and tid-bits. She would spend hours in the library, loosing herself in books. They allowed her
to experience everything she couldn't. All of the wild adventures she dreamed of going on were
all possible in the confines of the leathery books. High school wasn't easy for her, sure she had
friends, but they never talked outside of school. Most people found her outspoken and independent
personality obnoxious. She kept her heart condition a secret, she didn't want people pitying her,
or giving her special attention. She wanted to be normal, but in spring of sophomore year, when she
was 16, her arrhythmia came back, causing her to be pulled from school and put under the
supervision of the nurses and doctors at Harper-Mercy. When the arrhythmia didn't show signs of
getting any better she went into surgery, this time getting a pace maker. When people from school
caught wind of her being in the hospital everyone wanted to be her friend. All that did was annoy
her. Every time a nurse would say she had a school mate visitor she would simply respond with,
"Nobody cares until you're sick or dying." The only visitors she allowed where her parents.
A year later, one week after her 17th birthday she experience sever pain in her heart. The walls of
her aorta were thinning. Immediately she was put on the heart transplant list and admitted as a
permanent patient at Harper-Mercy.
Theme song:
"One day."
Other:
Has several scars on her chest from heart surgery.
