Rolling over in her bed Camryn’s eyes flickered open. Letting out a sigh she rolled over, pulling a pillow over her face. Here’s to another boring day cooped up inside the hospital she got to call home. Sure, the hospital nurses would do their best to plan events for them, but living in a hospital was no way to spend her glory years. Kids her age were going to prom, getting ready for college, staying out late and really living. She envied their perfect health, and hated them because they never took it for granted.

Pulling the pillow off her face she glanced over at her clock, 8:03am. Perfect timing, she had just enough time to get down to the cafeteria and get food before all the over night, sappy eyed parents with their obnoxious kids were even up. She had it all down to a science; breakfast food was out from 7 to 10:30. Any time from 7:30 to about 8:45 was the golden time to go, the food was always hot and freshly made after the 3rd shift nurses grabbed breakfast before heading home. Anytime later than 9 was utter hell; screaming kids and parents to tired to function.

Rolling out of bed she slipped on her
moccasins, and threw on her fathers old beat up hoodie over her pajamas. Yawning and stretching she looked over at her roommates bed, she was still sleeping. It wasn’t much of a surprise to her. Camryn was always up early in the morning, it never matter how much sleep she got, if any. Taking a quick glance in the mirror she threw her hair up into a messy bun before proceeding to write a small note to her roommate. Went to the cafeteria for some grub. She knew it was pointless to write her a note; it was the same routine every morning. But, it was the polite thing to do, right?

Exiting the room she walked down the empty hallway, passing the occasional nurse. The cafeteria thankfully wasn’t that far from her room, just down the hall and straight down the stairs. Well, elevator for her. Going down stairs wasn’t much of a problem for her, it was going up. 10 steps up and she would already be getting dizzy.

(( I am not requiring for you to wait until everyone to make their first post, but I do ask that you remain respectful

of other and try not to get to far ahead of them. & try not to make this to much into a 1x1. ))

With a sigh, Adara forced herself to open her eyes. She didn't feel like rolling over onto her side, seeing it was the same situation every morning, every day. Groaning, she again forced herself to move, rolling over so she'd be able to see the clock. Making a face, Adara made a move to get up, already starting to feel a slight hunger.

At the sight of her empty room, the brunette already knew that her roommate was gone. She didn't blame her. The thing she probably hated the most was when all the screaming children woke. Yawning, Adara slid into her slippers, and grabbed her favorite TARDIS sweatshirt, before heading to the bathroom, splashing some water on her face and pulling her hair into a pony tail.

With another yawn, she followed her roommates example and started down towards the cafeteria, planning on getting some food.

Noels hazel nut eyes fluttered open, attempting to suppress a yawn as he pushed himself up onto his elbows. Much like any other day he had awoken before the famous Noah he shared the single room with. His fiery mess of hair dangling in front of his blurry gaze as he struggled to leave the comfort of his blankets, after a few minutes he found it useless dragging the covers around his thinning frame as his feet slid into their designated bunny slippers. A headache plagued his already dying mind, reaching out with a hand he grabbed his black lined glasses and slid them onto the bridge of his nose.

Yes, he was a mess. And of course he was told to await for his food to be brought to him that morning, but he had laid in that bed for exactly a month now and wasn't going to stay in it unless it was a mandatory thing. The ears owned by his bunny slippers flung up with each of his steps, the thick blanket dragging behind him as he left the room and made his way to the cafeteria.

Noel wondered if anyone had missed his presence as he strolled towards the cafeteria, his lone companion Darlene hadn't visited him since last week updating him on the current relationships and recent fights at their school. In the beginning she would visit him daily sometimes sneaking in some of her baked goods but after the second week the sight of her became more scarce much like everyone else like his parents. He understood that everyone had their lives but it still scarred him at moments that he was just going to leave with the wind. The brunette was supposed to graduate the coming year, he wondered if he'd be able to with his worsening condition. If he'd be able to do anything.

Noel sucked in a deep breath the thoughts eating at him, his eyes searched his surroundings searching for a way to free himself from his thoughts. His gaze falling on the cafeteria entrance, a smile appearing on his face. If you got used to it and came at the right time the food wasn't that bad, especially the pancakes. The scent of the batter made him quicken his pace entering the room, he ignored the stares he earned from sleep deprived parents and other patients. Strutting over to the food and immediately recieving the pancakes he always dreamed of, his blanket trailing behind him like a cloak. Once he recovered what he ever so wished for he took a seat at a lonesome table, without anyone else.

The beep of her alarm woken Tessa up quickly. Time for a change of the IV's, she greeted her nurse that checked the regurals. Gave her the medicine in the AM, she's been fighting a brutal infection from a cloud. Soon as the IV start pumping the cool liquid in to her viens, it was time for food before she loses her appetite. "Morning" she muttered to her sleeping roommate. The tree was annoying dragging around her meds but it was needed. Making her way down she smiled at the playful kids and the glass eyed parents. Sometimes she wishes her parents cared like that but not, they gave her a diesease.

Once in the cafeteria she grabbed some bacon and a muffin with cranberry juice, sitting down at an edge of a table so her IV tree can be close to her. Can't be that bad, maybe she'll go outside and paint. Or watch hockey.

Kodak blinked his eyes open. The sun was up, but he certainly wouldn't be getting up. Not yet, anyways. And he wasn't hungry. He lay there, listening to the clock tick. It was as much a soothing sound as it was a nightmare. It was forever and nothing at the same time, and he hated how the hours bled into each other. It wasn't the hospital's fault. They weren't made to entertain. But even so, he couldn't deny the stagnancy of hospital life.

He listened hard for the sound of his roommate's breathing, even pausing his own to hear. But he still couldn't make it out, and he was too lazy to roll over. Kodak closed his eyes, hoping for more sleep, but knew that food would always outweigh sleep. Food. Sleep. Food. Sleep. Food. No. But he kicked off the covers anyways, slipping into his sneakers and not even bothering to change or wash up. He'd do that later, and no one would judge. He flattened his covers down to a somewhat acceptable looking lump before leaving his room, letting the door shut with a quiet click.

Kodak padded down the hall, nodding hi to the occasional nurse. The cafeteria was decently located from his room; it wasn't too far, but the walk was long enough to allow his thoughts to wander for a bit. When he walked through the doors, the room was already buzzing, though it was quieter than it usually was. He grabbed a plate of waffles and syrup with a muttered "Thank you" and set it down at the other end of a table, barely nodding a hi to the other boy already sitting there. He went back to grab juice, set it down again, and then went for utensils. The worst part about losing his right hand was that everything had to be done in multiple steps and he rarely had the patience for that. At last, he was able to sit down in front of his food.

The elevator was slow, at least compared to the stairs. A month ago she was able to hike up those stairs with minimal problems. These days one flight of stairs was the equivalent of climbing the stairs of the Empire State Building for someone with good health. The large, shiny, metallic doors opened directly in front of the cafeteria. The silence of the hall was comforting to her. Not just because it was a sign that no kids where around, but she preferred quiet. Quiet allowed for her to hear herself thinking, and was best for when she wanted to be alone with a good book.

Glancing around she saw a few familiar faces of the patients that lived in the same wing as her. Lazily making her way over to the large rounders of food she flashed small smiles at her fellow in-patients. Grabbing a tray she filled it with an assortment of fruits and a large bowl of cereal. She always tried to eat healthy. Her heart was the first and last health issue she ever wanted. After gathering her food she glanced around at the now slimming amount of empty tables. Not that she didn't like sitting with others, it was just that she felt uncomfortable, never knowing what to say. It's not like she could start a conversation off with "How are you?"

There were no empty tables left; most of them only had one or two occupants. Sitting alone wasn't an option for her, at least today. She settled on one of the tables with only one occupant. She recognized the boy at the table; he lived across the hall from her. Cody or Kodak? Something like that. Normally she had a nack for remember names, but lately she hadn't been spending as much time socializing with others. Sliding into a seat diagonally from him, she smiled politely at him, "Hey." She didn't mind if he didn't respond, or if a little hello was their only conversation.

Noah turned over in bed as he slowly began to awake, thanks to the nurse who entered the room and opened up the blinds, letting in a bunch of unwanted light. Not wanting to get up he pulled the blankets over his head but, of course, the nurse yanked the blankets off of him completely. Noah sat up in bed with an annoyed groan as he rolled his eyes. The nurse, a very petite woman with black hair and a pixie cut, held out both of her hands towards Noah. In one hand, pills rested on her palm and on the other, she held a small plastic cup filled with water. Noah took the pills and cupped his hand over his mouth as he leaned his head back then took the cup and gulped the pills down. Chemotherapy was a drag. It was always pills this and pills that. "Thank you, Linda." Noah smiled lightly as he watched the woman leave the room. Getting out of bed, he noticed that Noel was already gone. Probably to the cafeteria like everyone else. Noel was an okay guy but his optimistic attitude wasn't something Noah favored. After slipping on his tacky but adorable

homemade slippers, Noah skidded out of the room and roamed down the hallway in his pajamas, making his way to the stairs.
Three weeks in and Noah thought he was going to die of boredom before the Leukemia could. Honestly he missed his school, friends, and even his overly-dotting mother. From what he's gathered from a friend, the whole school is acting like he's some charity case. Even his high schools Church Group was praying for his health which was a shocker since the president of the group despised him ever since freshman year. One thing Noah knew for certain was that he was
not going to miss his senior prom. Sure the whole prom king and queen thing was cliche but Noah had already made plans for prom with his best guy friend. Though he was certain that the hospital wouldn't allow him to leave for such a silly thing like prom and prom was far away so maybe Noah would get better by then but that was just pity hope.

Noah grabbed a plate of waffles and some orange juice as the line bustled. Most of the tables were occupied with people and some, Noah could recall talking to. Within three weeks Noah had already made it his goal to talk to every patient and nurse. What could he say, he was a social butterfly who loved to meet people. With a last minute thought, he set his tray down and seated himself by his roommate, Noel. The good thing about Noel was he let Noah talk about anything he wanted even if Noel didn't understand the topic he would let Noah explain it. It was like having an apprentice or younger brother.
"So, any cute nurses that tend to you?" Noah nudged Noel teasingly as he picked at his food, tearing a few pieces of his waffles. "I have a female nurse. She's adorable to me but I'm sure any straight guy would drool over her. She's petite but has perky breasts so score for her." Noah was just talking to talk and frankly in this place their wasn't much to talk about but if he didn't talk then he would probably go insane. "I asked her if she had work done on them but she didn't. God their should be more male nurses, right?" Noah turned his head to look at Noel and he noticed he may have been talking to much. "Sorry, I get chatty when I'm bored. Anyway how has your morning been so far?" He chewed on a piece of a plain waffle as he gave his full attention to Noel and finally shut his mouth.

After hearing his roommate shuffle out of their room, Marc let out a gush of air he'd been storing in his lungs. He hadn't wanted to be heard that morning, or else he would have been dragged to the cafeteria with him. It's not that he didn't like the guy-- on the contrary, he thought the boy was rather nice. Marcus just wanted to be alone for a minute before starting the routine all over again. He'd only been there for a few hours shy of a week. But, the monotony of each day proved to be more and more frustrating. With he walls starting to suffocate him, he hopped out of bed and made his way down the hall. His hand twitched. He grimaced, knowing that it would only get worse as time slipped further.

"Time." he laughed to himself, sliding past Linda, the RN who worked nights. She had bags under her eyes, but she kept to her duty making sure none of her charges were out of comfort or needed anything.

"Get some sleep, hun. Please." he said to the woman, a tone of worry actually shining through in his voice. He started walking again before she could respond. He finally made it to the Dining Room, picking up two orange juices and a milk. He didn't have time to debate over what he wanted, being that he saw the gang sitting in one spot. Aside from a few of the older kids and Linda, Marc spoke to no one. He was standing behind Noah when he heard him spewing on and on about breasts.

"Sorry, I get chatty when I'm bored. Anyway how has your morning been so far?"

"It was going okay before you had to ruin my internal eye sight." Marc responded with a charming smile, taking a seat next to the boys. "So, what's on the agenda for you guys today?" he asked, a slight tremor running through his hand.

Arie shuddered, pulling the knitted blanket up to cover her shoulder. Her sky blue eyes flickered open in annoyance. They didn't do a lot to sugarcoat hospitals, but one thing she never saw mentioned in a pamphlet or a book or a show or a documentary was how absolutely freezing it was all the time. Maybe it was just her, but every time she opened her eyes in this damned place she could feel a new shiver pass through her. Half of her, really - but thinking like that did nothing but bring her down.

She felt a slight rumble in her stomach and turned her head to see the clock on the table nearby. 8:10 A.M. - good, then, she was right on time for breakfast. She pressed the glaringly red assistance button, still feeling upset that she couldn't get out of bed on her own. More ashamed, really; more sympathetic for the nurses who had to help her. It was their job, but still she felt like a burden making them do it. She pulled her favourite sweater from the bag on the table and pulled it over her head.

"Hi, Terra," she said, flashing a bright smile as her nurse entered the room. A thick white belt roped around her waist once and then again, almost the full way around. Her elbow hooked around Terra's shoulder and she sighed with relief, releasing her grip, when she felt the strong support of the wheelchair against her back. She decided that she would figure out how to navigate this thing herself today, and she slid her fingers up the wheel lock, uncertainly pressing her hands against the firm metal. The past few times she'd tried this, it hadn't worked well, but as with most things, she had gotten better with practise. It was no piece of cake, but she found her way to the elevator and down to the cafeteria, where several of the stay-ins had already gathered.

The smell of fresh pancakes overwhelmed her, and she took as many as she could as soon as she tracked them down. She set the plate on her thighs and warily wheeled herself over to a table where three young men were already. Nothing much really attracted her to it besides the fact that she had heard the blonde one - was he Noah, or was he Noel? She couldn't get the names straight - blabbering on about breasts. Finally, a talker, like her. She would enjoy the company of people who vented like her.

"What's up, guys? Certainly hope you don't mind if I join you here." She winked and moved the plate from her lap, quickly setting it on the table. She hadn't realised how hot it was until it touched her hands. "Yeesh."

Kodak glanced across the table at the girl who'd just arrived. Carmen… Catherine… Camryn. Yes, probably. Hopefully. He nodded a greeting.

"Hey. Camryn, right?" She would be counted in as one of the few people he first talked to. His roommate he still barely knew, which was probably bad, but he seemed a nice guy. He'd need to look into talking to him more. He hadn't quite yet approached the other guys, though they seemed easy to get along with, and the other girls he just wasn't too familiar with. From what he could gather about them, though, one of them, or something, had an illness similar to his, and for that little bit, he was slightly glad- there was someone to relate to. To do that, he had to talk to the others first, he thought with amused irony.

He nibbled on his waffle as he spoke. He really wasn't hungry. But the nurses would make him eat anyways, so he might as well do it himself. And the waffles were decent this morning. He really couldn't complain. His eyes slid over to the utensils he'd brought over. They weren't really necessary; he usually ate with his hands, or rather, hand, if he could, because it was just easier that way.

Kodak looked over at her food curiously. Cereal and fruit. She was so healthy. So unlike him. He liked his food too much to confine himself to all the little nuances that gave him Vitamins A through Z.

As more and more people seemed to fill the table, Noel began to sneak small looks up from either twiddling his thumbs or yawning. He was never a morning person that was known, always struggling with everyone until he was finally awake or if a child came into the room. Not many of whom he knew took the seats surroundings him. This causing him to attempt to note each person he knew in the large building. Well of course there was Noah he knew, but he was his room mate it was expected. Noah was like a walking fashion show and never hesitated to speak his own opinion. It was a trait Noel came to admire, and as if his thoughts triggered what was to happen next. Speak of the devil, Noah plopped down beside him beginning to speak one of his greatest skills. He would be good at debates perhaps.

Noels legs where brought up onto his seat making it so he sat cross crossed, the blanket wrapped tightly around him as if he was nothing but a head. And stared at the boy as he spoke a small smile on his face, chuckling when the other teen completed his run on of sentences.

"Well today marks my 1 month anniversary at this great place," the word great held what sarcasm it needed to not over exaggerate.

"And due to that I'm receiving a new nurse today, and I wouldn't want to brag but though I don't know much about my new care taker I know one thing." More emotion began to show on his facial expressions as the sleepiness of before began slipping away.

"It's a guy, and I'm quite excited." Noel leaned into his arm which propped him up on the table. Amusement evident in his expression, curious as to how the homosexual boy would respond.

Just as another person appeared, he was a new face to the hospital. But he seemed to be adjusting easier then most, Noel took note of that and the small tick in the boys hand before sweeping his bangs from his gaze.

"I was told to rest in bed all day, and I'll most likely not do that..." He trailed off,

"So nothing for me." The brunette stated, letting out a small yawn hidden behind his hand that caused his eyes to water slightly.

Connor//8:14//waking up

Connor hadn't gotten the best sleep last night, unlike most of the patients at Harper-Mercy Children's Hospital. He had Osteoporosis, not something you could sleep easily with. His sleepy eyes made their way to a half open, droopy position, and he quietly rolled over in his hospital bed. He faced his wheelchair, the one he had been in for about a month now after his bones had gotten to brittle and weak to walk on. It was a terrible thing, knowing you're going to just get weaker. He rubbed his eyes as he swung his legs around so that they were dangling from the side of the bed. Carefully putting his weight down on his legs, he lowered him self on to the chair, and relaxed as the cheap pleather cradled his back. It was reassurance that he was safe.

.

Connor want planning on going anywhere particularly, but maybe there was something good in the cafeteria that could make him feel better. Making his way to the elevator, he pressed the down button and the shiny stainless steel doors slid closed. His stomach dropped at the sudden movement of the elevator, a feeling he resented. It creeped him out and made him feel sick, nothing of adrenaline or any of that crap. As the elevator reached

The floor, he wheeled out, looking for anybody he could possibly run over. Earlier in the month, Connor had made the mistake of not making sure the coast was clear, and was later knocked over by a reckless younger boy that wasn't looking where he was going.

Connor opened the handicapped door of the cafeteria, and looked around as there was only one group of teens in the whole place. Grabbing a cookie and a milk from the counter, he approached the table with ease as he guided the chair to the head of the table. It was the only place where he could sit with a wheel chair. "I hope you guys don't mind if I sit here."

Connor said as he opened

The milk carton and dunked in the cookie, taking a big bite out of it. "I'm Connor."

This was definitely a new thing for him, but he was glad he could relate to the teens. He was sure they were all going crazy in here too.

((Ooc//: sorry about not posting yesterday! I still have school till the 24th, so replies might be slow before 2:30. Sorry for the inconvenience!))

The elevator was a nightmare, and it was Adara's luck that she got stuck with a very chatty family. Kept wanting to know why she was here and all that garbage. At first she hadn't wanted to be rude, but she finally got sick of it and snapped at them. "Tuberculosis!" she hissed, glaring at them. "I have tuberculosis, now will you shut up?" she growled as the elevator dinged, signaling they'd arrived. "Thank god...." she muttered, stalking out into the hall and towards the cafeteria.

As she entered the large room, Adara instantly knew where'd she be sitting. She'd go sit by her roommate and the guy across from her. She couldn't exactly remember his name, but eh, she wasn't that great with faces even after being here for two months. Moving quick, she grabbed a tray and grabbed some bacon and orange juice. She loved bacon and orange juice. Loved it so much, she'd ignore the fact that it's hospital food.

Once she grabbed what she wanted, she started towards the more empty table. "Hey Camryn." she greeted, before giving a small smile to the boy across from her. "Adara," she introduced herself. "Sorry, but I can't remember your name."

Nibbling on her bowl of fruit, she only looked up for a moment, "Yeah, that's me." She knew she sounded cold, but it didn't bother her one bit. Socializing wasn't always her strong suit. And after this admittance to the hospital, her skills went out the window. She knew she should try and made friends here. For all she knew she would be on the transplant list for the next 6 months, maybe more. Her books were only going to last her so long.

Camryn's stomach twisted and turned, she couldn't ignore her hunger anymore. Diving into her cereal, she dropped a couple pieces of her fruit into the bowl, mixing them around. It was one of her favorite things to do, it was one of the few things she enjoyed in this place. Glancing up at the sound of her roommate's voice she gave her a thin smile, "Morning." She was happy she asked for the boy's name. One less question she had to ask.

She noticed he wasn't using his right arm, it struck her funny. She knew that more people had a dominate right hand. There was the possibility he was a lefty, but that didn't seem right. He worked in steps, never using the arm. "Stroke or ASL?" She asked bluntly, gesturing towards his arm.

The corner of his lips twitched. She was so forthright. "ALS. Why? What gave it away?" He tried to keep it away, but couldn't help the note of bitterness that slipped into the question. The question itself had been half sarcastic, half amused; everyone could tell what he had. And he really couldn't do too much about it. "Lucky I'm a leftie," he raised his arm slightly, still eating the waffle. He just had to humor himself. It really wasn't that bad. Yet.

"Hi," he nodded a greeting to the girl who'd just sat down. "I'm Kodak." She seemed nice as well.

He was slightly sorry he didn't say more to the two; there was absolutely nothing wrong with them, but he was always awkward with introductions. And it really didn't help that they were meeting in a hospital, of all places. He'd open up though, he knew. If they stuck around long enough he always did. "So." He tried. "Why are you guys here?"

Adara grinned at Kodak, pleased that he wasn't put off by her slightly rude introduction. "Might as well, I've already snapped at a family of annoying children." she said with a laugh. "I've got Tuberculosis. The one with the really bad, stay away, get everyone I know sick fear." she shrugged. "I haven't gotten people sick, I can, but I haven't." she explained, wondering if he would shy away from her as well.

"Oh...well, I was gonna do a puzzle." Marc said, pointing his thumb back at the elevator.

"You guys are more than welcome to join me. I mean, gotta use my hands before I lose 'em, am I right?" he laughed, rather forcibly. "I'm Marcus. I haven't been here that long. I figure we should all get to know each other. I don't wanna spend my days here in complete agony," he joked. 'I don't wanna be here at all, really.' he thought bitterly, but brushed that feeling away and replaced it with a smile.

Connor just brushed off the fact that people just didn't want to talk to him. 'No one wants to talk to you because you're in a wheelchair. You're unapproachable.' The little voice in his head mocked. Whatever. It wasn't like he cared, it just hurt seeing that people really don't use their emotions in the hospital anymore. But they seemed to be fine with introductions of each other, so why interrupt. "Excuse me while I go get juice." Connor said, barely audible. Wheeling his way to the counter to get juice, he sighed. 'Freaking hate this place.' Even though the cafeteria was decorated brightly and the hospital was all happy-go-lucky, it was so think with gloom it could make you sick. Wheeling back to the table, he listened to introductions and learned people's names, even if they had no idea who he was. 'Its time. You've been here for two months already.' Said the voice in his head.

Noel listened to the boy understanding his uncomfortable persona, which was understandable. He was slightly interested in what caused the boy to be casted into this pit of hell, but knew if he where to ask he'd have to explain himself as well. Brushing his fingers through the small tangles of his hair attempting to clean up his thin mop of hai he began to speak.

"That sounds fun, I'm all for it." He ske semi-truthfully, giving a small smile.

"I'm Noel." The brunette introduced himself holding out his hand,

"Don't be afraid to shake my hand you said it yourself use em while you've got em." His amused grin more evident.

Finally finishing her food she got some juice wheeling her IV tree over too. Tessa spotteed a kid in a wheel chair getting juice. "Hiya..." she offered a smile to him. "Do you mind if I sit with you and your friends?" she asked, not afraid of being bold and willing. At this hospital, you meet everyone and you learn to make friends fast before they'll leave you. "I'm Tessa by the way" some would say overbearing and some say fun. Just gotta hit the right spot with her.

Camryn just smiled at Kodak, simply responding with, "I'm observant." It wasn't a lie, she had spent enough time in hospitals that she started picking up on signs and symptoms of certain diseases and cancers. She would constantly be quizzing the nurses on the other patients. After all, books could only tell her so much.

She picked at her food as Adara talked about her tuberculosis. She was thankful her roommate hadn't passed it along to her. Another ailment was the last thing she needed. Let alone the whole hospital. Camryn had been admitted only a couple weeks after Adara, she was beginning to think that maybe she wasn't contagious. After Adrara finished, she perked up saying, "I'm dying of a broken heart." As corny as it sounded, that was the best way to sum it all up. She was dying and her heart was broken.

Arie nodded, her expression a mixture of amusement and interest. "Not a bad idea. Beats moping around, doesn't it?" she said, looking pointedly at the new kid, Connor, also in a wheelchair, who was already heading away. She felt like she should have known his name before now, considering she'd been here for two weeks, but she had been too busy adapting to her leglessness and trying not to lose the rest of her body in addition to socialise much. When Connor left the table anxiously, she couldn't help but feel a pang of sympathy in her chest. Hopefully it was sympathy, anyway, and not her heart again. A faulty heart didn't sound particularly fun, but she was told she had a pretty high risk for it. She crossed her fingers under the table.

The corners of her lips curled up into a little smile when the boys mentioned losing their hands. That one was Noel, then, so the blonde one had to be Noah. Since everyone else seemed to be introducing herself, she also joined in. She lifted her hand in greeting. "Howdy. I'm Arie. I'll probably be joinin' you for the puzzle too, if that's alright. I don't mean to brag, but, uh, I'm pretty decent with 'em myself."

Watching the wheelchair kid go back Tessa followed sitting next to him, since her tree wouldn't let her get anywhere else. Looking around the chatting people she smiled. "Hey guys" she needed to step in and make friends since she's feeling a bit better. HIV isn't easy, theres no cure, only pain meds and antibiotics. Soon enough it'll be AIDS and that'll give her internal sleep.

Soon enough she was short of breath and very sleepy. Letting out a small yawn Tessa smiled. "Wonderful day today, I might go outside" she nodded with her own idea. "What's your guys's names?"

Connor hadn't spoken a word, shared his name, or even thought of the fact that these people could possibly be talking to him. He didn't feel comfortable assuming that people maybe wanted to be his acquaintance, or possibly even his friend. He couldn't wrap his mind around the fact. But with a little mustered up bravery, he managed to spit out something. "I'm Connor. Like I had said before." He whispered the last part of course. It was sort of blunt, but it was the best he could work with. All he wished for right now was his guitar, his voice, and an empty room so he could just play and sing in peace. But of course he decided to get up this morning for breakfast, but he couldn't be that counter productive and not. Then there would be even less to appreciate about his life. Sucking on his box of juice, he waiter for more people to speak, not really feeling up to keeping conversation.
