Realistic or Modern ★Fairy Tales High★

Bri blushes a little bit but her smile turns back into a frown quickly. "No, you can stay...if you want..." She slumped back into her chair and put up her hoodie, making it clear that the conversation was over for now.

She faced back towards the front of the room, watching the clock.

"Jesus." She thought to herself. "I can't wait for this stupid class to be over!" She tapped her foot quietly on the ground, looking for some sort of distraction.

Jackson after hearing he could stay smiled. He then started to make little snow flakes and fly them across the room trying to land them in the one guys ears. Every time he got close and would just smile." Jackson notice the girl next to him and said, "Hey are you all right you look a little agitated. Did do something to cause this?" Jackson asked with the most innocent, and adorable, face he could possibly make.

@WinterSoul

Blaise say up and shook her head,"No, no it's alright you didn't." She smiled. Before turning back to the front. Her eyes, glancing at Bri occasionally. She was pretty. No. What? Gah don't get attached or your wolf won't stop until it gets what it wants.

Surprised by the sudden exit of the room made by Bri. She stood up abruptly, moving to exit the door as well. Once in the hall she spotted Bri turning a corner, her eyes changed to a cool purple, worry, "Hey! Bri, wait up!" She ran to catch up with the other girl, silver hair flying behind her.

Bri pants against the wall, sweating profusely. Her skin seems to be turning paler and her eyes are becoming brighter. "Oh, um, hi Blaise." Her long, white-blonde hair had fallen out of her hoodie and she looked very disheveled. "I-I'm sorry for running out like that..." Her eyes darted around uneasily, almost as if she was looking for an escape.

"Hey, hey, calm down. Are you okay?" Blaise spoke softly again, her eyes turning a darker purple. She placed a hand on Bri's arm, creasing her eyebrows. She had no idea why she was so worried, for a girl she had just met. It's your wolf, idiot, it likes her.

"Y-yes, I'm fine, alright!" She shrugged off Blaise's hand irritably. "I-I just..." She looked lost for words for a second. "I almost lost control, is all. I'm fine, I promise." She suddenly smiled and her skin tone grew a little less pale. "Thanks for checking up on me, though." She starts walking back to class and pauses at the door.

Blaise's hand drops to her side and she smiles at Bri as she walks away, this time her eyes fade to a soft pink. Lost control of what? She decided it better not to ask. "Of course." Her wolf was clawing, trying to get free, but she held it back as she watched Bri pause outside the door.

Bri looks inside the room, taking a deep breath. "Just ignore it, you'll have time later." She opened the door to the classroom and sat back down, pretending that she had never even left the room.

Blaise didn't go back into the room. She didn't need to anyway. She went outside and plopped her self down on a bench, taking in all the sounds and smells that her heightened senses picked up. This was the first time since...her...that Blaise's eyes had turned pink, affection. It'd been four years, a long time on her clock. "Ughh, stupid wolf. Your not attracted to anyone for four years, and then all of the sudden you latch onto this...really...pretty...girl?" Blaise sighs dropping her head into her hands, she didn't even understand herself.

James was in the library, flipping through pages in various text books. He paused, and scanned the page. Hm... How interesting, he thought staring at the image. Surely, it wouldn't be that hard to do. After he shut the book, he glanced up at the clock. Late for the first class? Ha! Well, then, might as well skip. It's probably almost over anyways. As he smiled, he revealed his teeth, which made him look like some sort of villain. Well, I guess I am some sort of villain, seeing as I'm a wolf -or at least cursed. Strolling over to a shelf, he picked up another book, setting it in front of him. The stack of books before him had become a small tower, and as he skimmed through this one, he found another piece of the puzzle that he was trying to solve about him. So, they accepted me because they wanted me to be the antagonist in Little Red Riding Hood, huh? Well, if that's what they want. Then, that's what they're going to get. Snarling inside his head, he stood up, eyes cold, and placed the stack of books on the re-shelf cart. Looking back towards the clock, James figured that the first class would be let out soon anyways, so he left, knowing that he had to find a girl with a red hood.

Bri left class a minute later, clutching a doctor's note firmly in her fist. She decided to visit the library-maybe there'd finally be the book she had requested a few months ago. She walked briskly to the library and opened the heavy metal door. It swung shut behind her loudly and she cringed, clearly embarrassed. She didn't seem to see James and walked towards a shelf right by where he was sitting.

Before he left, and stood up, he James noticed a girl. She swung the door shut loudly and he couldn't help but cringe with her. There's nothing worse than being loud inside of a place that's quiet, he thought to himself as he looked at his book. There, she stood, looking at a shelf. "Hey," he whispered, standing up, "What book are you looking for?"

Bri turned around, obviously surprised, but her expression immediately shifted to a gloomy frown. "It's...not important..." She seemed unwilling to engage in conversation with him and moved on, looking through the aisles, her eyes darting around rapidly. It was almost as if she were scared of James...

James laughed, quietly, "Well, if it's not important, why else would you be in the library?" He raised an eyebrow, curiosity hidden in his eyes, and yet his expression seemed stoic and cold.

Bri seemed to grow more uncomfortable by the minute.

"Um, is that clock ticking louder than usual? I think it is...yes, it definitely is...I'll have to report that." She said out loud, becoming a little more panicked.

James shook his head, "No. It seems to be all in your head." He grinned, amused. "Seriously though, what book are you looking for? I have time to waste and am bored just sitting there, flipping through various tales and pictures."

(I have to go, but I'll be back soon!) @YetAnotherBlueMoon

Bri seemed even more panicked then ever-she had never seen James around the school and definitely didn't trust him.

"O-oh, it's not important, just some book on...hockey! Yes, hockey...I just love the ice and the pucks and the...parents shouting...and the...blood and..." She rambled on for a little while.

James rolled his eyes. "You're in the wrong place for hockey. It's down three isles with the other sports stuff. This is fairy tales and mythological creatures. Didn't you read the signs?" He said, narrowing them. He could tell that Bri seemed to be panicking and grinned. Wow. No wonder. I must look a helluva lot creepier than I thought. Maybe it's the teeth. Yeah, it's the teeth. He changed his expression to one that was unamused, and raised his eyebrows, as if he were asking for an explanation. Come to think of it, if she was looking for a book, wouldn't she be able to read? So, why did she come to this section rather than the other?

@YetAnotherBlueMoon

Bri's eyes seemed to bulge out of her head as she realized what she had gotten herself into.

"Oh, did I say hockey? I m-meant..." She glanced at the sign again quickly. "I meant..." She turned pale and suddenly took off running down the aisle towards the "Great Writers" section. After running for a minute, she was sure she had lost him and ran her fingers along the books, looking for I.

"Ah, there it is." She slipped the book she was looking for into her pocket and exited the library, glancing behind her every so often.

James shook his head as Bri went running, and then left the library. Of course, he had left before her and as he looked behind him, he saw her, and saw that she was doing the same. Chuckling to himself, he thought Wow. I have such great first impressions. Too bad that everyone judges a book based on their cover here, at least, from what I can tell.

Bri panted as she trotted towards the courtyard.

Maybe if I find a tree or something to sit under I can read in peace.

She walked outside and took a deep breath. There was nothing to worry about. Everything is fine. She headed towards an old willow tree and sat in the shade before opening the book. It was an old copy, with ripped pages and annotations all over it. She had read this book many times, looking for some way to control herself. She flipped through the pages quietly, mouthing the words to herself.

Bri absorbed herself in the book, totally oblivious to the world around her. She was glad she was the only one who had read the book she was reading-the annotations, even the title itself could reveal her secret. She scratched something out and continued reading.
