Fantasy ☆Fairy Tale High☆ (Accepting)

Brian had had a long day. After a scorpion fueled last minute room change he had arrived to his new room to find the lower bed of the bunk occupied. He took his pants off and climbed to the second story, but just as he was about to slip into a dream he heard knocking on the door, he groaned and climbed down, and then slowly made his way to the door.

He looked into the peekhole only to find a weird beast charging into it, he sidestepped and right after the beast rammed the door open. It had a sleek black body with a head that looked like a piece of origami made out of sheet steel. "Holy shit, what the hell is this thing!?".

He grabbed the first thing he could, a drawer. He shaked the Fairy Tale High-branded stationery out of it and slung it against the beast's sleek body, hoping it was less resilent than it looked.

[dice]23077[/dice]

The hit had bounced right off the beast's body. There wasn't much more he could do, as he was trapped between the beast, the drawers, the open door and the corner of the room. "Dude, do something!".

Kierran was snoozing with his arms behind his head, still fully dressed when the door opened, more likely than not his new roommate. He cracked open one eye very slightly to size him up. He looked the same age as he did, but the way he carried himself and the way he was dressed made it obvious that he wasn't a normal student; then again neither was Kierran. Kierran closed his eyes again, and heard his new roommate slip into the bunk above. All of a sudden a knock was heard at the door and as his roommate went to open it, he suddenly ducked out of the way as a large beast began to charge into the room, splintering the door. ~Shit, thats a rude welcome.~ His roommate grabbed a desk drawer, but to his chargin it did nothing. "Dude do something!" was heard as his roommate was panicking by the looks of things. Sitting up and as he kept out of the bunk, Kierran threw two daggers with precision at the beast aiming for its' eyes.

The beast swiftly responded by attempting to strike Kierran's Dominant hand.

"Yes!" Brian was relieved for a second, but then saw the beast getting ready to attack, he decided his best bet was to push the rest of the drawers into it.

[dice]23083[/dice]

[dice]23084[/dice]

Even empty the drawers were heavier than he expected, they fell into what could be described as the creature's neck, making it's attack fall short and pinning it into the ground. It wasn't going to stay a lot in that position, behind it's neck the creature's body wriggled violently, preventing Brian from reaching the hallway.

He decided it would be better to get close to Keirran
"Ok, you seem to be better at this than I am, what now?"

Like always, Lunie arrived late. Skipping the entree and the speech of the headmistress was a bad habit she had formed throughout her years at this school. She was just in time for filling in the sheets. After a while she decided that Magical Science, Magical Creatures, and Power Control for Tactical Apps would be the best choices for this year. She had taken a small risk by choosing Magical Science though. Before she had always studied Lore, simply because it interested her the most. But lately she had taken an interest in the scientific side of magic. Maybe this could advance her progress of the understanding of her own magic's mysteries.

Anyway, when she went into her room, she got this queasy feeling. She had no idea why. Her being alone in the room made things even worse. Maybe it was because she had to get used to bunking on her own? She used to have this girl as a roommate, but because of certain reasons, it ended up them splitting up.

She couldn't fall sleep. Her rabbit ears seemed to pop out any second. They always want to pop out when she's stressed. The thing is, when she gets a bad feeling, she's usually right. She has always had a pretty good intuition. After a lot of tossing and turning, she finally managed to go into a light sleep. It was soon to be disturbed though.

There was a lot of noise. Footsteps. People screaming and hitting and falling to the ground. The roar of some unknown beast. Wait, what? Suddenly, the door burst open, and the beast wasn't so unknown anymore. She felt around for her glasses (she usually wears lenses) and put the light on. She pulled out the drawer of her bedside table, took her magical gun, and aimed for the rose-filled mouth of the beast.

[dice]23085[/dice]

[dice]23086[/dice]

It didn't really work, but it was just enough for her to slip through the door and check on the others.

"I have my equipment with me that's all, Bow's over there on the wall near my bunk. It's a compound bow so it can really hurt him. I just need to get over to it and I can do some serious damage to the monster. See if you can distract it for me while I go and grab my bow," Kierran replied. Once Kierran had suggested a course of action, he ran over to go and grab his bow.

The beast from the looks of it, managed to break free of the pile of drawers entombing it and looked extremely upset.

Brian doubted for a second arrows were going to do much against the beast, but he'd have to believe it for now. He took his multitool from the pants laying on the floor and flicked one of the blades open.

"Tool Number Eight! Serrated Knife!"

Seeing the beast ignored his battle cry, he frowned and went for one of the creature's legs:

[dice]23172[/dice]

[dice]23173[/dice]

With the strenght of his magical form behind it the blade cut nearly through the whole limb, making it falter. The beast turned it's sharp headpiece to him and positioned itself to ram him with it, the limb slowly fusing itself back together.
"O-ok, now I got his attttention, help!?"

Taylor rolled somewhat awkwardly out of bed, grabbing the closest object to her; a chair. She paused for a brief second to regard her weapon of choice before shrugging slightly.

"Whatever, I'll make it work," she muttered under her breath.

She positioned herself to one side, poised to divert the monster's next attack. Aranka was the one with the weapon, and Taylor acted on the instinct to try to buy her more time or distract the monster or something. She wasn't quite sure, as she hadn't thought too far ahead before making use of her mighty battle chair to leap to Aranka's defense.

Aranka bounced off the monster's metallic body, and rolled back into action the way she'd been taught to in Combat Applications. "That's it! Keep hitting it! It'll go down... eventually!" She took her place beside Taylor and prepared to attack again, this time with a plan.

With an inarticulate roar of rage, she sawed open a hole in the floor, big enough for a human - or a giant monster - to fall through. Then she baited the monster by practically dancing over to it, and poking her chainsaw blade right into its oscillating face.
"Here, monster monster monster..." At the last second, she jumped back, and the monster overextended itself and got its head stuck down the hole. It wasn't much, but it would buy them a bit of time.

Brendan was woken from his sleep by a harsh buzzing sound, and then by the thudding of a piece of a large piece of wood against the floor. "The hell was that? Ugh... Colby?" He could've sworn there was an elephant upstairs. That was when he heard an annoying voice and the clatter of metal, and saw the head of what looked like a metallic origami dragon poke through the hole in the ceiling.

He sat bolt upright, being careful not to hit his head, and summoned a sword with a ruby hilt to take a few stabs at this thing. The construct responded to his blows by making a coordinated bite at the bunk, trying to bring it down.

With his roommate getting the beast's attention, Kierran went and grabbed his bow. The black bow that he had gotten recently was a monster of a weapon. In the right hands, it can deal massive damage, or land successive shots. However, Kierran decided to go for the constructs' eye once again, but this time he would strike true. He took aim and spoke, "SAYONARA SUCKER!," and fired.

The beast attempted to shoulder the blow but it was not enough.

The beast shattered into metallic shards that glinted an oily multicolor. The shards clattered to the floor, where they dissolved into a thin black haze that seemed to disappear from this plane of reality.

Headmistress Whuppie stood where it was, and said in her thick Scottish accent, "Weel dain, you two. Although I would've been there to back you up had you needed it." She stepped a bit closer to the boys. "Now, is everyone okay?"

Kierran stuck the bow on his back once the headmistress appeared. More likely than not this was a test of their abilities, which both he and his roommate had passed. "Yeah I think we're both doing well, although I can only speak for myself. It's not everyday you're thrown into a fight like that, although I prefer to avoid fighting. Quite the entrance exam though huh?

@Mollisol @aranafco

With a face like a stone, the headmistress shook her head. "My only part of that was not immediately helping you out. That was an evil older than any of us, as old as the generations that brought us into the world." She paused. "It wants... attention. Adoration, to be technical. And it's not afraid to do anything to get it. Monsters like this are only the beginning - och, if ye see what I see..." her voice trailed off. "Never mind that. It's important that I go to the next wing to make sure nae a body gets hurt."

Brian stood there dumbfounded while they speaked, his legs shaking just a bit, he had a couple of questions for the headmistress but stood quiet for fear his voice would crack. When she left he went to the bunk, and after calming up a bit he took a deep breath and finally said something.

"So you'll be my roomate, what is your name?"

Taylor clutched her chair as she watched Aranka bait the monster into a trap. The blonde girl's instructions swirled around in Taylor's head as Taylor adjusted her grip.

"Just keep hitting it huh?" she muttered.

Her fingers curled tightly around the chair, Taylor raised up the chair and swung it down with all the might of her her insignificant strength.

The chair broke into splinters as it was smashed over the creature's metallic form. In retrospect, Taylor realized that her mighty battle chair was not very durable.

After the Headmistress left, Kierran turned around and unslung the bow from his shoulders over his head. He then proceeded to lay it on the wall near his bottom bunk before turning around and shutting what was left of the door. They really needed a new door, although his thoughts were interrupted by his roommate's voice, "So you'll be my roomate, what is your name?" He replied to him as he headed back to the bunk, "I'm Kierran Novar, came here after being transferred from my old school."

Lunie had thought she had gotten rid of the origami-like monster. She couldn't be more wrong, though. As she walked forth, something suddenly grope her ankle. 'Goddammit!', she whispered. Her shot hadn't been enough. It was probably time to use her time magic, so she pulled out her pocket watch and spun the clock hands 'round and 'round, until they pointed at the beast. What it was supposed to do is, it would slow its movements down, so she could go ahead and aim and shoot more accurately.

She finally managed to somehow get rid of it, though it seemed more stunned than actually dead. Could these things even die?, she wondered. Anyway, she walked further down the corridor and stopped when she heard the exact same sound of the beast she just fought. How did it get here all of a sudden? Or... is it another replica? She figured to take a look at the situation behind that door, and when she stepped inside, she saw two girls and one big hole. One girl was smashing a chair onto the beast. 'Um... Can I help?', Lunie asked carefully.

"My name's Brian Turner" He didn't have much to say about his school life, he thought about what else he could talk about "So, what now? Will we really just go back to sleep?" He didn't want to go out either, but it seemed like the right thing to do "Maybe we should see how everyone else is doing"

As Kierran laid down in the bunk he responded to his roommate, Brian's voice. "I'm in agreement Brian, no sense in waiting around for trouble when we can clearly handle ourselves." He slowly got out of his bunk as if his body did not want to oblige his request to go check around before grabbing the bow he laid upon the wall. Approaching the remains of their door, he turned his head back to Brian, "Still coming?"

@aranafco

"Hell, let's go" Brian went out of the room along with Kierran. He scanned the hallway for something that could keep distance better than his pocket knife. On the left end of it, right before the stairs he saw a large red box with the words "In case of monster attack break glass" written on it, he enthusiastically picked up a piece of drywall and threw it against the glass, shattering it, then carefully retrieved a machete-like blade from within it. "The headmistress came this way, right?" He said with renewed confidence while pointing to the stairs behind him "So it is probably cleared already" He started walking towards the other end of of the hallway.

Kierran held his bow in his right hand as he walked down the hallway with Brian. Suddenly he noticed a box that read, "In case of monster attack break glass," with what looked to be a blade inside. Both fortunately and unfortunately, Brian also noticed this as well, but he opened it loudly. Opened in the sense that he launched a piece of drywall at it. Although Brian was armed with a better weapon then a simple pocket knife, the resulting "CRASH" reverberated through the hallway. "Not so loud!" Kierran reprimanded Brian, "We have no idea if there are any more monsters in the vicinity, stealth is key here. However, it's a better weapon than what you had before." Walking for a bit, Kierran suddenly heard voices, both monster and human, and quickly pressed himself against the wall holding up his hand to instruct Brian to do the same. Peering out from around the corner, he noticed several women, one with rabbit ears, attempting to fight a monster, much like the one he and Brian had eviscerated. Reaching into his quiver, Kierran nocked an arrow and ran over to the doorway, "You ladies need some help?"

@ApfelSeine @aranafco @Kanken @Mollisol

Taylor looked up, smirking slightly as she noticed Kierran. Being able to outnumber the monster even further would most certainly be a useful advantage to have.

"Perfect timing," she remarked, backing away a bit from the monster as she returned her attention to it. "We've got it stuck at the moment. Hurry and help us take it down."

As she spoke, Taylor gripped two legs from her shattered chair, ready to wield them as a weapon if necessary.

Aranka looked up from the construct to see the other students. "Good to see you guys are here." She readied her chainsaw again, with the intent to slash into its neck. She dashed over to it, blade in the air.

The construct's head burst forth from the floor, and its mouth engulfed Aranka.
"No!" she cried, gagging at its breath, part sickly-sweet and part copper. She held its mouth open with the blade of her chainsaw, her feet anchored on its metallic jaw.

(Power 8 + Dice 3 = 11 ; total 31)

(Power 7 + Dice 1 = 8 ; total 28)

Aranka was spat out of the monster's mouth, landing on her butt and covered in something that resembled a cross between raspberry syrup and blood.
"Goodbye, chainsaw..." she muttered before slumping unconscious.

It was a good thing that Kierran and Brian appeared when they did as one of the women who he had come to the assistance of was suddenly swept up in the monster's jaws. Thankfully, she used what looked to be a chainsaw to keep herself alive, but she was spit out and slumped unconscious losing the chainsaw. In response to this, Kierran let loose the arrow he had nocked a minute or two ago towards the new beast.

Luckily it JUST hit the beast in the eye earning a smug grin from Kierran's face.

"Good!" Now that the arrow was on the loose he was no longer afraid to get caught in between it and its target. He charged against the creature blade in hand, towards the side the beast had lost awareness of due to Kierran's arrow.

[dice]23348[/dice]

[dice]23349[/dice]

He cleaved with a downward motion with all of his strength. The blade buried itself quite deep but the cut was so thin the beast reformed itself inmediately, trapping the blade.

"Shit!"

He tried to retrieve it but was thrown against the wall by the construct. He smiled however, as from this distance he could see the beast was now trying desperately to remove the foreign object.

Lunie watched the two guys coming in, the girl with the chainsaw being spit out, and just everyone in general. She had done to much watching. Maybe it was time for her to take action. She had only one bullet left though, meaning her last chance. For a moment she regretted her procrastination of restocking her bullets. Anyway, she went ahead and tried her best.

Too bad, the animal managed to deflect the bullet with incredible precision, thanks to its long and flexible tail. 'Got any other ideas?'
