Ned was reasonably exhilarated to have conveniently straggled across someone who knows his 'beloved' Akagi. From what he could 'recall' from his cherishable memories of her, she was believed to be a tenacious 'lioness' whom he had first chanced upon whilst in an expedition for those desperate enough to hire a mere vagrant for tedious work, 'banal' labors that ofttimes involved him being knee-deep in monster guts now and again or having to cleave away a couple of dirty bandits. These came as uneventful experiences that usually went as followed, kill 'said' abomination whether it be a Human or some ungodly creature, then collect the given payment. Rarely had he the opportunity to bump into any other rambling mercenaries lookin' to make a few bucks, by any chance that he did they'd always be some freakishly grisly or hairy 'bull' of a figure, not at any time was there a bewitching heroine throughout his travels, not one! His coincidental meeting with Akagai was perceived as a 'blessing in disguise' after discovering her going toe-to-toe with an unpleasant band of dark mages, apparently, these weirdoes had desired to transform her into a sacrificial lamb in an attempt to appease their depraved idol, boy did they pick the wrong girl to 'fuck' with.
Hearing the distinctive wails of a lady amidst the blaring ringing of magic being expelled, it was clear that Ned to entangle himself in this mess of a situation she was in. To his surprise, by the time he'd managed to engage in the lively activity, Akagi had practically halved their numbers out already! Admittedly, he kinda felt 'bad' for them as they were being mowed down! Alas, no sign of clemency was given by him when he joined in on the fray. Whether it be a helpless disheveled peasant or a heavily scarred eyepatched lady that could dish out the punishment like nobody's business, Ned's strict morals had disavowed the idea of leaving any woman alone in a battle.
"Hehehe, forgive me for losing my bearing." Aware of the fact he was getting off-track, Ned shook off the warmhearted flashbacks and passionately recorrected Horus about his earlier 'fanboy' comment, informing him that it was far from accurate. "Fanboy?! I prefer the more appropriate term, soon to be 'lover'." His humorous response lacked little restraint as he shuddered some loose pebbles stuck in his greaves, his nonchalant demeanor clear as day once he'd lazily threw up his arms in a careless stretch that made him look more like a naive idiot than a proficient warrior or fighter, it would've definitely explained why so many people underestimate him including Horus. Whereas Ned's negligent behavior shined on the exterior, it was different however when it came to his internal conduct where he was still battling against the vibrations that had been rattling his wrist, it was strange, their altercation only lasted minutes but a meager clash of their blades had revealed to him much more than what he had previously anticipated, he too deeply misjudged this man, they were indeed a formidable swordsman unlike any other! "You really do love to fight don't you?"
Even from afar, his prior combatant's disappointment was 'immeasurable'. Caressing the back of his head in a display that could be determined as uncomfortably awkward, Ned couldn't help but have an odd feeling of guilt by not continuing to swing his blade at Horus. Funnily enough, this might've been the first time where he genuinely felt like complete crap for not wanting slice someone into shredded cheddar! Still, fighting him to the death wasn't an option, especially knowing now that he's affiliated with the famed Sabertooth guild. "Your feelings of being robbed of a fight are understandable, yet, if I were to fight i'd not only be marking myself as a target for the Magic Council but i'd also be betraying Akagi." Resting his hands against his side, Ned took a moment to take in a fresh bit of air from all the trail dust that was beginning to settle, fortunately, this made it easier to reassure that his loveable pet Tanuki was still continuing to watch him from the steps of the nearby tavern, readily waiting for his master's orders.
"Think of it as me doing you a favor, it may be hard to wrap yer' head around at first but... Not being able to die kills the motivation for fighting, what's the point in usin' your all if you can't be killed? I'm fighting without purpose, I barely put in a quarter of my efforts when i'm goin' against someone." He boringly shrugged, a look of uninterest as he methodically taps the broad hilt of his sword. Ned was unsure if saying that he wasn't trying would've disappointed Horus even more, or just made him more reassured that he didn't waste his time fighting against someone who was unable to go all out. Looking for a way to cheer up the big 'lug', he inspected little things that stood out until he pointed out the bag of mangoes that were next to him. "Grocery shopping, all the way out in Magnolia? You're a long way from home, must be a real pain in the ass to carry those all the way back." Either this man had a poor choice of directions or he really enjoyed sightseeing! It did, however, look like he was going back to his guild which gave Ned a splendid idea that could work in both their favor. "Listen, I feel a bit shitty for gettin' yer hopes up like that! Hows about takin' me to see that 'Goddess' of mine and i'll carry those things back, plus i'll give you a sparring match! Can't say it'll be the greatest but i'm sure Akagi's spirits will motivate me to throw in more effort! Hows about it?"
Not wasting any time to wait for Horus to react, Ned eagerly 'zipped' up to the man's side and flung up the bag of mangoes over his shoulder and whistled for his adorable companion. Chitter chatter of his Tanuki could be heard as it climbed up its owner's back, soon resting his bottom on their shoulder, curiously eyeballing Horus as it settled itself in. "Leetttsss goo! Try and keep up!" Snickering as he darted away, Ned hustled himself down one of the direct trails that would lead them to their destination, albeit a lonely route that leads straight through a lonesome forest. "You think they saw us?" Once the two were preoccupied a mysterious voice muttered from the shadows of an alleyway. Beyond the voice was a masked face revealing itself next to a large group of menacing men that were outfitted in blackened robes, all of them equipped with various weapons that clenched their sides. "Doesn't matter, those bastards killed my men and I plan on returning the favor! There's only two of them and 'bout a hundred or so of us, they won't stand a chance." Popping out from the shadows, a series of concealed faces had dispersed, a large group amassing and pouring out from the alleyway like a colony of cockroaches as they trailed behind Horus and Ned, far enough away so they wouldn't notice.
"We'll ambush them once they're in the middle of the forest."

As Rasil went off on his own bothersome tangent about wearing a protective groin guard for his 'boys', Maradis was still restlessly slouched in a halfway downward dog position, an unenthusiastic expression becoming more and more apparent until he was finally able to get the 'hint'. She didn't know why it took him this long to figure out what she had meant, it wouldn't be all too surprising if he had intentionally shot himself in the head with one of those newfound 'boom-boom sticks' of his, probably jumbling up his brain and effectively transforming it into mashed potatoes in the process. He'd be quite relieved to know that moment of dullness on his part hadn't ruined her mischevious mood at all, due to his quick thinking, his mistress's righteously peeved attitude had 'poofed' into thin air, restoring his woman's previously seductive ways after cradling her in the security of his loving arms. "Now that's more like it!" She announced, a sense of satisfaction consuming her as she watched them step down into a slender corridor with a set of doors on each side of the room.
As soon as Rasil entered the room on his left, his and Maradis's would be 'greeted' with a pungent smell that invaded both of their noses, giving them a reminder of their earlier shenanigans after looking towards the pair of small hollow-eyed skeletons that were gathering dust in the corner of the dungeon room. "Oh, right we forgot to release them didn't we?" Realizing their captives were entirely dead came as little surprise. It was a pain in the ass having to take care of a Human child, she didn't even realize how needy those things could be! Keeping up with this new daily life of hers was completely exhausting, with how much stuff that needed to be done and in such a scarce amount of time, it wasn't all too concerning those prisoners of theirs had succumbed to starvation. "Weren't they those girl scouts that came up here like a month ago? I can't believe they didn't even have sugar cookies, and of all the stuff they did have, it was mostly raisins! Damn rug rats thought they could pull one over on us." Being jived in paying more out of pocket for something nobody likes was outrageous to her, it was difficult to believe that they'd tread all the way up a mountain, evicted people from their home and killed them, only to have their hard work be repaid with such an insult!
Regardless of the hideous stench that was now hammering her nostrils, Maradis remained in a very raunchy mood and was not going to let anything ruin their night of 'debauchery'. Luckily she came prepared to kill two birds with one stone, removing the ghastly aroma of rotting skeletons and giving it a real dungeon sorta vibe once removed herself from Rasil's grasp, lighting the standing wicks of the standing candles set all around the floor. "Oh Rasil, why don't you make yourself comfortable?" Situating her bottom onto an upside-down crate, Maradis teasingly stroked her index finger down the X-shaped cross beside her, a devious smile creeping up the woman as she grazed it against the leather restraints that were dangling from the ridiculous torture apparatus. Separate from the device was a surgical cart that was occupied with a whole bunch of dandy accessories, one of them being a tool that resembled a cattle-prod, upon activating it an ominous surge of electricity had sparked out from the two barbed pins atop the blunt object.
Assuming that he'd already gotten in the device, it was time to begin the fun! Twirling around the electrical spitting device in her other hand, Maradis eagerly lifted up Rasil's uniform and slung it over the top of his head but not before loosening up his tie and stuffing it inside his mouth. "I'd let you see but not knowing where i'm gonna hit you must be exciting for a sick bastard like you!" Swinging up the end of the prod, Maradis rammed the pointed metal prongs into his chest and begun electrocuting him, up until the point where a black marking had emerged onto his chest and there'd been a mass of smoke lifting from his body. "Aw, did that hurt? I hope it did, just imagine... We're only a few minutes in, we still have many hours to go." Hearing his discomfort mixed with his pleasure was a concoction of pure ecstasy! But this wouldn't suffice, she needed more, a lot more! Giving into carnal instincts, Maradis was quick to remove the attire wrapping around her body, carelessly tossing it away before eventually continuing to indulge in both her and Rasil's dark sexual fantasies.
- Many Many Hours Later... -
Sweat was profusely dripping down Maradis, her 'naked' skin glistening as the Moon's lumination reflected off of it. "I freakin' needed that!" Expressing a sigh of relief, she propped her elbow against the opened doorway of the room as she began to feel the corridor's cool air embrace her body. She didn't expect for that intimacy between them to take so long nor did she figure that it would be so intense, but it was worth every second of her time! Swigging down a carton of milk she had brought earlier, Maradis had let out a refreshing gasp as she polished off the last few drops that were left in it.
Her bliss, however, fleeted swiftly following a worrisome thought that had been pestering the woman ever since she'd taken the responsibilities of life. "Why must I be so busy?" Her precious moments with Rasil always felt unfulfilling, albeit enjoyable during. Yet, being reminded that it would take weeks or even months for them to repeat something similar was upsetting. They were supposed to be a couple but she couldn't help but feel they were being bogged down by the stress of living, it made special events like these so depressing after they were finished, it was evident by the disappointment on her face that Maradis was concerned by all of this. "Don't you think we could be doing more? Like, having more time together?" Turning herself around, her glum stare was fixed on a sealed iron maiden as she spoke. "We act more like humans with all this damn responsibility. We're supposed to be above them, not be like them! If only there was just some way we could get a whole bunch of people to do stuff for us, that way we don't have to worry about this kinda nonsense!" Heaving the empty carton of milk the ground, Maradis crossed her arms together like a moody teenage girl, complimenting her annoyed emotion with a small pouty face before raising an eyebrow at the iron maiden.
"Uh, are you stuck Rasil? You can get outta that thing now."

. Messei was still absolutely incapable of figuring out what was happening around her with all the amount of alcohol she had consumed down into her gullet, its effects still lingering throughout the whole Lucius and Aedon situation which she ignored because of her being too 'zoned' out to even realize something problematic was happening, by the time she did it was too late. Aedon was nowhere to be seen, neither was that one stranger that came in unannounced. "Miiranda?" Tilting her head, she tried to recollect all that was exchanged between the two during their conversation but nearly half of their discussion had 'drowned' in the drunkenness of her addled mind, all Messei could really remember was that one name that kept popping up in the back of her head. "How does he know her?" She never really had a chance to meet Aedon's girlfriend before her passing, although, from the past personal conversations that Messei and Aedon had about the loss of their spouses, she could only assume that he loved her deeply.
Whatever that stranger had said about her must've really gotten under his skin, luckily they were speaking to Aedon as opposed to any other member of the guild. Easy as it was to push Aedon's buttons from time to time, it was rare for him to ever lash out against someone in a fit of rage. Messei always did admire him for being able to contain himself, among many other things. She felt like she could speak to him about any issues that bother her, rarely would she confide in any of her other colleagues, only someone such as him would be able to understand the pain of losing someone they dearly love. "Caaan someeone keep an eyeee on him?" She slurred, hoping that someone would be there to back up Aedon in case things were to get ugly. Being one of the major S ranks of her organization she held little worry for him getting into a scuffle, in spite of this, Messei didn't want Shyilia to be introduced with a member of her guild and some random guy duking it out in her building, it was already bad enough that she welcomed Shyilia home while being completely shit-faced.
Feeling the stinging feeling of those splinters in her back, it was relieving to hear Riwane's joyful response! Hearing her say 'bestest' buddy was a bit off but it was nice to know that Messei was finally getting some appreciation from her, after all, being the Oracle of Fairy Tail was no easy task. Okay sure it often entails sitting at a desk and reading books, but usually, there'll be instances where you'll have to research things for people and that involves reading even mooooreee books! Granted, Messei did enjoy a good book here and there but even someone like her needs a break from reading once and a while, inspecting all that fine print makes her feel like she's going blind sometimes! "Maaake sure to use that healy-dealy magic-a-roo and make it snappy, chop chop!" Looking back at Riwane, the whites of Messei's eyes practically widened to the size of dinner plates at seeing the sight of the tweezers the healer had been holding, her menacing pliers gave the impression of giant crab pincers as they clamped together.
It was at this moment, she knew she had fucked up.
"AHHHHH, GET THOSE BIG SNAPPER THINGS AWAY FROM MY BACK!" Chaos had resumed once more as she hurled herself off the bar stool, knocking over the entire alcohol stand and breaking almost every single bottle that was on it. Her lungs filled the room in panicked shrieks as she fumbled over the furnishings that were in the hall, Messei had now completely lost her shit and was now doing everything in her power to get away from Riwane and those terrifying tweezers she held.
"SHE'S TRYIN' TO KILLLLL MEE I TELL YAAA! SOMEONE SAVE MEE FROM THIS CRAZY LADY!"
