Armin Sterling
Location: Mountain Base
And of course, he didn't even have a moment to get into finding the others. Really, he should've expected even more bad luck after the biggest embarrassment of his career as a mage, but still, the first door he opens and he has to deal with another dark mage. This one seemed stronger than the muscle guy, too. Armin couldn't catch a break today, starting with having all his hard work putting up decorations going to waste because the other members of Lamia Scale couldn't help acting so childish, and now he had to face some masked weirdo who didn't seem very keen on talking things out peacefully. No matter what, Armin could just feel that his day would just keep snowballing into worse and worse things. What next, a dragon would show up just to prove that his luck was that bad?
The armored mage looked at his new enemy, who seemed to be antagonizing him a little bit. Underneath the metal helmet, Armin's mouth turned into a deep frown. "Honestly, I'm a little touchy on the whole 'lost' thing right now, mate, so don't get me started on that. And I'm not looking for anything, I'm looking for anyone, the anyone being some of the other Guild mages. As much as you seem fun to tussle with, I want to try to make it up to the others for being late, so I gotta get goin-" Armin paused as he noticed the gas beginning to come over him. In the dimly lit hallway, he hadn't been able to see it clearly. He poured more magic into his armor, metal forming over any openings in the armor to protect himself as he jumped a couple times backwards, bumping into the wall and sliding back along it before he opened up the holes in his helmet again so he could see. "Well that was close."
Armin heard a sizzling sound and looked down at his hands in surprise. The Earthbreaker armor was beginning to melt, bubbling slightly as it eroded away into thin air. Sure, the armor was incredibly durable, but that was mostly to physical attacks and some magical ones. This poison was something it couldn't survive long enough through, as was evident as it crawled up his arms, and he felt the burning sensation begin on his hands. He quickly severed his connection to the armor, it turning back into it's standard thick liquid and returning to the stone on his arm. He looked up, adjusting his glasses now that he could reach them. "Erosion magic. Okay, my good karma is definitely running out. What are the odds someone has the perfect counter to the guy who uses armor to fight?" He looked down at himself, remembering how his shirt had ripped apart when he had donned his armor earlier. He crossed his arms in front of him, smiling a little sheepishly. "Sorry, my shirt got ruined when I was fighting one of your pals."
So his Earthbreaker armor was out of commission at the moment, at least until it was fixed inside the stone. And the poison had harmed his hands slightly, as the backs and fingertips of them were beginning to turn pink. He could feel the burning sensation still as well, and it seemed to be slowly spreading up his skin. Hopefully he could get Serina to fix it so it didn't cause any permanent damage. Right now, his best bet to get it to stop spreading was to take out the source, which would be his current opponent. Armin looked up at the man, a slight glint appearing in his eyes. "Seems I can't just let you get away at this point. Sorry, but now you're an actual threat, and I can't allow you to harm others." Armin reached to an ebony stone embedded in his abdomen, tapping it with his finger. "The name's Armin Sterling, by the way. Thought I would at least let you know who you'd be tangoing with for the next few minutes." As he spoke, strings of black leather spewed out from underneath the stone, wrapping around his body to form a suit of black leather clung close to his skin. He continue wrapping around him, covering all but the top half of his head. Much of the rest of the armor seemed to warp in in a purple light, including a red, tattered loincloth and assortments of bone and animal tooth ornaments. Holding out his hand, a white mask of bone appeared in the same purple light, which he placed on his head quickly, finishing the Duskprowler Armament.
