Focusing her sight on the surroundings for a moment, she'd soon turn her attention back to the old man.
"I was more concerned that you'd have unfinished business with the storm going on, and having been on your own out here. What's the likelihood that we'll encounter more trouble, I'm wondering just how many of these creatures are out here when I can't see a single one of them. We were unfairly caught off by just one smaller than all of these, it does peak my interest to ask who you are that you're managing by yourself out here" Ul spoke, finding that Ox's core seemed to power down by this point in time. A quiet hum under her breath over the matter, she turned to Viole despite them already helping the old man travel. A better thought came to mind of what to do with the powered down core.

"Viole, you can store this too right?" Ul asked as they offered it, might as well put it with the rest of the small construct. Though at the mention of the old man asking about Ox, the elf turned to him.
"Viole's carrying him around right now. I don't exactly get how it works, but it's like a personal magical inventory. Viole, how big is your magic space anyway? Theoretically, how much could you put into it? Say, if we're going the same way back, could you put a frozen rock thing in it? Speaking of which... " Ul got a little distracted by another question.

"Where's 'home' exactly abouts? Didn't see your place on the way in, unless it's very well camoflagued" Ul sarcastically asked, having given a look to whatever Xanzua had been doing. Ul possessed healing, but not enough to fix the travesty that had fallen upon this guy, maybe them cauterizing it would at least help somewhat.

Starting to go ahead in the direction of wherver they needed to go exactly, she questioned.
"So, what's the worm?" Ul simply asked out of interest.

Actions

"No need to create a new vessel, unless the old one is unsuitable for it. As I carry Ox's body within a thaumaturgically warped quantum entanglement storage. Or in simple speech, in a pocket dimension, though its size is something I am working on."
Viole said to the old man, he hoped the old man could understand his words as he was Ox's creator, but he would not mind him not understanding it.
"I would show Ox's remains to you right now if not for the fact that it takes some time before every access to my 'pocket dimension'."

"Thank you for your words Miss. My creator spent a long time making me as life-like as possible, as he wanted both an assistant and a companion to his research. Hence, I also came without any of the rules of robotics, as he called them."
Viole responded with a nod and a small smile on his face to the words of their friendly fire spirit.

"Yes, my lady, I have room for it, though I do not know if I can put the one we froze into it. The space's area for now is but a sphere, ten foot in radius at that. And as I said I am working on expanding it, though it is slow." Viole replied as he stretched his hand out towards Ox's core, his hand placed upon the core, slowly the core was enveloped in a viscous, thick and cold membrane before it began to shrink and absorbed itself back into Viole with a small whoosh sound as it finished.
"The core has been stored. And do not worry for the liquid, its nothing more than a stable way for me to input things into the pocket dimension."
He shortly added before beginning to walk back slowly as to make sure the old man is secure on his back, as well as giving Ul and the spirit friend time to patch him up.

Ul and Viole's reassurances on Ox's body were met with a relieved sigh from the old man. "That is excellent news. I thank you kindly for your consideration of Ox, it truly means a lot. Few here look upon constructs with a kind eye." He began, before listening in as Viole's pocket dimension was discussed. Carefully watching Ox's core be whisked away, seemingly thoughtful, he spoke again. "The physical form of your spatial methods is intriguing. First time I've seen a liquifiable form of it." He chuckled after a brief pause, adjusting his grip on Viole's shoulders.

Listening in to the elf's many concerns, the old man waited until Xanzua had finished her cauterization and moved beside them before speaking. "The storm will end soon, not to worry." He began softly as they trudged back through scorched snow, the barrier shining firmly around them. "Hopefully after we're long gone though." He chuckled vaguely, before growing concerned at the mention of their prior encounter. "They came for me. I'm sorry to hear you encountered a stray. But I'm glad you all appear unharmed at least."

"I'm not anyone of note, not to worry. Just an old man that misses his wife."
It was unclear whether he had purposefully misinterpreted the reasoning for Ul's query towards his identity, brushing the matter aside as if Ul was afraid he was someone important.

Although Xanzua had no understanding of the 'rules of robotics' Viole spoke of in response to herself, she nodded in understanding of his earlier and simpler explanation. Noticing that it was the first time she had seen Viole's smile thus far, she concluded that this construct too had a fondness for talking about his master. Mentally, she kept note. Perhaps if Viole seemed down or distressed later, she could bring the subject up again to make him happy.

At Ul's later interjection, the old man suddenly laughed aloud heartily. "You think my home is on this mountain?" He began, still smiling. "Even without the storm, I do not yet know of anyone that lives in such a travesty of a landscape. Barren land. Barely any wildlife. Crevices and ravines aplenty. Isolated from civilization. Although I do enjoy the latter at times." He chuckled, before elaborating. "I like to travel, but my temporary home right now is a good walk away from this mountain, just close enough to appreciate the view of it in the distance. Not to worry about carrying me for too long however, once we are out of the storm's radius, I can make a nice and easy portal there." He smiled and spoke comfortingly, as if merely talking about weekend plans with a friend.

With Ul's worm question piled on top too, the old man couldn't help but say. "You ask many questions little one." He sighed amusedly, just in time for them to reach a familiar ravine's edge once more, alongside the makeshift bridge Xanzua and Ul once made... although a certain ice sculpture was no longer anywhere in sight.

As alarming as it was, as soon as that tell-tale aggressive flash of green suddenly erupted from the side, claws agape, a terrible earsplitting screech cut through the air, seeming to rumble through the very earth itself beneath them. The familiar attacking beast flinched mid-leap, pausing mid-lunge, before suddenly withdrawing and retreating back down into the ravine's depths without a sound.

"Ah. She noticed sooner than expected." The old man commented from atop Viole's back, briefly tightening his hold on the barrier's core. "There's not much time left, we must move quickly. The storm will cease very soon, but as soon as it does, you must run even faster. Run as fast as you can down the mountain without looking back. Can you promise me that?" He spoke quickly yet clearly to convey his instructions, urgency lacing his tone.

"I will need some time to cast my spell and create the portal. Buy me time, and I will safely get us out of here."
