Fantasy ~ FableWood ~

Luness' ears flickered towards the healer and she responded in a slightly amused tone, "You're setting a poor example, healer." Luness then went rigid again as the healer began humming the tune again. After a moment passed, Luness then visibly relaxed and puffed out some more smoke while her head began rocking from side to side in tune with the healer's humming. Where had she heard this before? From her father? Her mother?

Luness felt herself entering a state of calm and then she put her cigarette on a small plate on a nighstand near her. Looking at her injury once more, Luness began to think back to the werewolves, but couldn't stay focused on the matter with the calming humming from the healer.

Elena finished the song, her own feelings not quite sorted out, though she was now at least content. She laughed and danced along with the others, nolonger awkward in her movements. When the music finally slowed and ceased, she stopped with a yawn. An hour of rest wouldnt get her through the night. She would retire as well. Ward stated that he would, and she nodded in agreement.

"I dont think ive slept through the night since i arrived.. but i cant even remember how long ive been here. So I'll get to bed as well."

Looking at the crowd, she smiled and said a loud "Good night!"

To Ward as she walked to her room, she said, "thanks for finishing the dance with me.. um, sleep well."

(Hope you dont mind, im pushing wardxelena as well, haha)

Anya had found food and rest for a while immediately once they had arrived. She couldn't waste her time with revelry when she had such a forboding feeling. She knew where she needed to go, and felt as though she needed to get there soon, though she had no clue as to why. After resting for awhile Anya went to find Ward and tell him of her uneasiness, but when she saw how everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, she kept quiet. She stayed off to the side, watching the others dance with troubled grayish eyes and a furrowed brow. Concern was evident on her face.

When Ward and Elena left, she said nothing to them. 'A tired group is more dangerous than a late one, wasn't it?' She thought to herself. She'd gotten anxious before, but this was different. 'Well, it's not like I can sleep... Maybe I should go on ahead while they sleep, I'm sure they'll catch up easily in the morning... But what if something happens? I'm no fighter, but...' She thought.

Alexander, meanwhile, also found food. He engulfed an impressive amount of food for his misleading, slender, human form, dragons are always hungry. Afterwards he made his way back to the main room where there was music and dancing. He made his way towards quincy, and silently took to her side. He had nothing to say, but enjoyed her company, so he figured he'd stay in it for now.

Ethan had sunk into a chair, pleased to have good food and warmth. He began eating, and pushing his pale blonde curls out of his face, he leaned onto the table and watched the dancers. He was glad for the relaxation, and had no intention on dancing.

Quincy watched the two retreat to rest, wondering if she should do the same, even though she knew that rest would be almost impossible in this place. Without a word, Alexander came to her side. She didn't feel the need to greet him before speaking; his companionship was quickly becoming completely accepted and enjoyed. “The others have started heading to bed. It might be a good idea to do the same, after you had such a long day." She suggested gently, as the music slowed to another waltz. “And tomorrow will be just as long." She cautioned, flashing her gray eyes to him as she popped a small chocolate into her mouth. The kelpie was developing quite a sweet tooth with all the treats available.

Ward helped Nyr to her feet.

"Practice," he answered her, "Lots of practice. But you did wonderfully for a first try." He wished everyone a good night and walked Elena up to her room. When she thanked him for the dance he smiled. "I have not had so much fun in a long while, so I thank you." With that he leaned closer and kissed her forehead gently.

"Sleep well."

With another Yawn Ward wandered further down the corridor to find his own room, his mind filled with happy thoughts and the promise of sleep.

The healer chuckled. "I'm no role model. Unless you want to be a grumpy old crone." She took to watching the flames dance low in the hearth. "You're much too pretty for that. Sleep now, you need rest to heal."

((Night all))

Nyr bowed and thanked Ward for his kind words.

" Next time I promise I will be better. " she said and said good bye to those who went to sleep. She being nocturnal creature went outside the palace to observe the stars for a bit. The icy land seemed inhospitable and harsh for the normal traveler but she saw beyond such illusions: the land was beautiful, especially at night when the silver light of the moon filled the entire land with their glorious light thanks to the snow decked plains and mountains.

She could not help but to smile at such a wondrous sight. It looked so peaceful, so nice. Almost like a dream.

((I had to take a moment and speak to my fish from all this cute stuff. >U<))

Banba watched the room, taking in everything that she could. When people started to leave, she stepped onto the table again, this time sitting in front of Leo, watching what he did curiously.

"A cacti once told me that rain comes from butterfly deaths." She stated, matter of factly, before continuing. "What wisdom do you have to share?"

@zCrookedz

Elena lifted a hand to her forehead, feeling heat from his touch. She had nothing else to say so she slipped in her room and removed her coat. The fire was still going and the room was a comfortable temperature. She removed her winter shoes and slipped under the many layers of blankets on her temporary bed. Thoughts of the fights and dances filled her head and she drew pictures of the wolves and the cabin ofthe sleigh. Then she continued into the room with food and dancing. Before long, her head and hands were too heavy to keep writing, so she fell asleep with the book still on her chest.

Luness' eyes widened at the compliment, though she had no idea how to respond so she didn't. Looking away, Luness decided it probably was for the best that she rest. Sighing, she moved her guitar off the bed so that it was resting against the nightstand. She then placed her knapsack beside the guitar before wincing yet again at some discomfort.

Biting her tongue instead of complaining, Luness then got onto all threes, making sure to stay off of her injured arm, or leg in this form, and then circled on her bed before curling up and resting her head on her good forearm with her injured one splayed out beside her. Closing her eyes, Luness entered a troubled state of rest, her mind riddled with voices she didn't recognize and places she'd never been to before. Throughout her dreams and mixed nightmares though, one thing was clear to her. A phrase that kept being repeated throughout her sleep, 'Release the beast within, and strike down the humans where they stand.'

"I'm sure, but I've never had to sleep in a human bed before, and don't know if I'll be able to. I would find a cave outside but the cold is... Daunting to say the least." He says, "Besides, I am not overly tired, are you?"

Quincy gave a shrug. “Even if I was, I couldn't sleep. I don't like the fires they keep, they feel too dry. But without them it is too cold." She explained briefly, listening to the waltz as it played. “I usually rest in the water, but there is none here." The kelpie held back a sigh, realizing just how uncomfortable this place was. The realization dampened her mood greatly, even as she continued to absently sway to the music.

Leo scratched his chin. He had plenty of wisdom that he had learned from his mentor and various other sources over the years since he became a guardian. But he wasn't sure if there was something that he had ever learned that would translate well to Banba. Then again, she had never shown any sign of not being able to understand just regular speech between people. He lifted himself back on his chair on its back two feet and scratched chin as he stared his friend in the eyes. He thought of something he hadn't really ever been taught but something he had found out on his own. He leaned back into his chair, his arms crossed over the table. He focused on Banba and smiled "The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once. It might not be as clever as what you may come up with, but its something I've learned in my many years."

@Jecklyn

Banba nodded, holding her chin thoughtfully.

"Time is a tricky thing. It leaps and bounds when you try to catch it. But when you do, its not worth the effort." She said, before stretching, letting out a loud yawn. She blinked, remembering sleep was a thing. When was the last time she slept? Had she ever slept? Was she capable of sleep? She shook her head as if to clear cobwebs and stood on the table, walking to the end and jumping off, her scaleless feet hitting the stone with a hard slap. Looking back at leo, she waited to see what he would do.

Leo, smiled. Banba was always such an enjoyable company to him. Her riddles challenged his mind, which was always something he loved. He watched as she yawned and made her way to the end of the table. He finished off his drink and realized everyone was making their way towards sleep. That was a good idea. After two battles, two parties, and a run like a bat outta hell, a good long rest was well over due. He pushed himself away from the table and made his way to the end of table to meet up with Banba. He smiled "Lets get some rest little one." He found his way to his room, taking note of where Banba was incase he was needed. Inside he found a bed fit for a king, but the soft feather mattress was not a comfort to him. He sat with his legs crossed and closed his good eye. His meditated refreshes was all he needed to restore his energies. "Oh great forest, your guardian calls on a meeting with you in the trance of meditation. Fill me with the earths energy, and ready this vessel for another day in your service." His one good eye flew open, glowing a bright green. In his mind he was face to face with Lilly as they conversed on the days events.

"Nah, I need to brush up my movement for a while, you wouldn't want THAT to happen in a real fight, would you? You go on ahead" Zelnite smiled before picking up his Masamune and going back to training.

(>~> Fell asleep while waiting, sorry for the late reply xD @SilverFlight )

Some time later, Ashley would awaken, holding her head as if she had a headache. But in any case, that was a very nice nap. She couldn't ask for a better one either. She looked down at her belly and smiled. "Did you sleep well too?" she asked, placing a hand over her belly. As soon as the baby kicked, she patted where it kicked before slowly getting out of bed and stretching her arms and partially her back. Straightening out her dress, she began putting her combat gear back on. After getting her Quiver and Bow back on, she looked down at her belly. "You make fighting really hard, you know that?" She sounded irritated, but really she was just being playful. "I love you, too." She gently caressed her ever-growing belly. After interlocking her hands underneath her stomach to get some of the strain off of her back, because she was also carrying a Bow and Arrows, she left her room to take note on all the fun that her Companions were having; Dancing, Sparring. Not like she missed out on much. The first thing that came to mind was hunger, so she decided to stop at the Great Hall to grab something to eat.

The night passed quickly and Nyr felt completely revitalized. The icy winds have completely restored her strength and energy and now she felt stronger than ever before. Being happy and cheerful she headed back to the room where they have danced last night. Frankly she did not expect anyone to be down there this early but... well anything could happen so she went in and looked around.

"I understand, believe me. Though, not so much resting in water- I need hot coals under me to sleep." He said, missing his best back home. Then he shook his head and said, "Well, would you like to take a walk through this place with me?" He asked her.

Joy roled over and felt a harsh crash into something. Thinking someone was attacking in her groggy state she jumped up and held a hand out fire swirling around her finger, only to find Laena sprawled out across the queen sized bed in a completely unorthadox manner. The little twit! She thought but she couldn't stop the ginormous smile that bloomed across her face. She slipped out of her rooms and went down to the great room, thats were the food was last night so it should be there today. Her hair was a mess, glowing eyes were faint and her red shirt looked rather disheveled. Either way she trotted in looking like she hadn't slept for years plopped down at a seat and shoveled berries into her mouth

(She is a very hungry person no judjing her devouring of food lol)

“Well aren't we out of place." She murmured, placing another chocolate in her mouth. Quincy turned her head to look at him briefly before nodding. “As long as you dont get us lost." She teased, sending a wicked grin toward him.

Nyr watched gleefully as Joy devoured the berries hungrily and chuckled silently, not wanting to disturb the feast of the phoenix so she just observed her from afar.

" Ravenous, are you? " she smiled to herself as she approached the table to pick up some leftover food - which were still tasty and good. As she munched on the berry she watched the girl eating a second set of berries. She must have been very hungry to devour all these food for sustenance but who she was to judge.

She laughed at Nyr's comment and pulled over a glass of crab apple juice "Well when one has a small person following them around -litterally- you feel morally obligated to eat all the food you can before they eat the rest." She stated, her ridiculous reasoning making some of the guards chuckle.

She smiled and walked up to Joy and put her hand on her shoulder, her face turning into one full with concern.

" Are you all right? " she asked her silently " I am sorry that I arrived so late to fend off those wolves... If I had been faster none of this would have happened. "

She hugged her gently, disregarding the fact that she was still eating.

" I don't want to lose people precious to me any more. " she said with a single drop of tear being shed from her eyes.

She was shocked. Nyr was usually very reserved and she nearly choked on her breakfest when she hugged her. Joy swallowed then hugged her back and whispered "You won't loose me again. I promise." She said

stating the absolute truth.
