“friends” is a new korean based reality tv show centered on the concepts of the original comedy sitcom, showcasing not just six, but twelve individuals, living in one large home. together, they all hope to develop deep and meaningful relationships, both platonic and romantic, as well as develop their own personalities. however, they will also be constantly monitored but cameras, 24/7. these cameras will be handled by cameramen during the day, then switched to computer operated cameras at night. episodes will air twice a week, being around an hour and a half long per episode, but viewers will have access to the live camera feeds during designated hours of each day of the week.

Biography
Youngmin was born in Daegu to parents who were not that rich. They lived with his father's parents and his mother and father worked in order to provide for their son whilst his grandparents nurtured their grandson, infusing him with creativity, a love of sport and intelligence.

He was a great student, excelling in many areas. However he didn't want to be in school. He wanted to explore his own interests more. This included music. He liked the idea of making his own music. For his 13th birthday, he recieved an acoustic guitar from his parents after his grandparents blabbed to them about his growing fascination with music. He also got piano lessons on Saturdays for two years straight. Eventually he branched out into music production and song writing which he always wanted to do. It was clear. This was what he wanted to do.

His parents were not supportive. It was here where he started to resent his parents. They didn't have the time for him as they were making money to raise him but they also often seemed cold and unloving. He definitely preferred his grandparents who after growing up in a war torn Korea just wanted their grandson to be happy with the life he has. They supported his decision to not go to University, to make music, getting gigs at clubs and various venues. He gave his grandparents whatever he could just to pay them back for everything they gave him. He loved them with all his heart.

persona.

despite his online persona being confident and zesty, he's the complete opposite if you met him on the streets. he's shy and quiet, and highly anxious every time he leaves his apartment. because of his panic disorder, he tends to panic a lot and have tiny anxiety attacks. he's gotten better at calming himself, but it's still hard for him to go out in public and talk to people who aren't his coworkers.

he doesn't have any friends other then his big brother, so he doesn't get out, and tends to be lonely most of the time. he loves what he does, enjoying making coffee and then coming home to take pretty pictures of his cat and then himself, but he also wishes he had friends to keep him company so he didn't look like a sad cat man.


he's pretty stubborn and has a short temper, but he's kind and caring, and often got called mom by his big brother because he will 'mother' you to death when you're sick or sad, doing everything he can to make you feel better.


bio.
he didn't have anything weird happen in his early life. he born into a family of four, with a big brother and that's really it. he had an alright school life, getting some letters and confessions despite being the 'handsome weirdo with no friends' all throughout school because he stuck by himself, and then turning down everyone who asked because he just wanted to focus on his photography and academics.

his life changed once he hit 18 though, his brother telling him to start posting his pictures. he opened an account, sharing his photos and soon pictures of his own face and after years his following grew to 400k, people enjoying the 'pretty face' and beautiful pictures. while he got sponsors, it wasn't enough money to live off of, and since he loved making coffee he got a job as a barista once he turned 19 and moved out, bought his own apartment and rescued his three cats soon after, the three being a pair on sisters and then a brother who were supposed to be kept together.

he got toothless for his 21st birthday, his brother calling him and saying they had a sick leopard gecko at work that needed homing, and he took it in immediately, falling in love with the creature.

he took the offer to be on the show on a whim, tired of letting himself being timid and shy, ready to make friends and explore the world a little more.

He was given up for adoption at the age of three due to his mother not being well enough to take care of him. He was later adopted by his father, Sung Jae, as well as his father’s partner, Chan Hee. They moved out to the countryside and Tae Hoon has lived there since.

Tae Hoon is known to be a soft, and fragile person. He isn’t someone that enjoys confrontation or conflict, as he is easily intimidated. He tries his best, however, to stick up for his friends and himself if he absolutely must.

Tae Hoon is very timid when you first meet him, which caused him to never really be good at introductions. He is a very ambitious guy as well as very trustworthy and open. With his trusting nature, this is what he's pretty much loved for. There are many times when friends count on this and his sweet personality especially when they need comforting or support.

Since Tae Hoon was raised in the countryside and doesn’t know much about the city, he gets pretty flustered when others around him talk about things he doesn’t have a grab on. He knows some things thanks to the internet, but he rarely got to use it as he grew up having to be very focused on the farm.
