kosette
neat, dude!
freaks.
Burnouts, losers, stoners, potheads, junkies, addicts, dropouts, dopeheads -
these kids have heard it all.
This troubled group tends to find themselves in the most trouble. Skipping class, vandalizing, stealing, and drugs are what they're best known for, whether the rumors be true or not. To the rest of the school, they appear to just be degenerate weirdos, but there's more to these kids than the rest of the students realize. Some of them find interest in music, art, dance, even school - they just have more trouble expressing themselves than most kids might.

about the plot.
Welcome to Hagerty High School -
1,589 students.
63 staff members.
17 cliques.
12 of us.
4 grades.
1 school.
In the sea of people crowding the halls of Hagerty High School set in 1994 Suburban Seattle, cliques dominate every aspect of daily life. Jocks, cheerleaders, nerds, goths, hipsters, skaters, preps, thespians - the list goes on.
At the bottom of the implied food chain is two cliques who prefer to stay behind the scenes. Each clique has six members, varying in age, grade, gender, race, and just about everything else. Rarely finding themselves in the middle of any major school happenings, these students find it best to just stick together and pray for the best.
Not everyone within said cliques get along. The groups are riddled with relationships, drama, friendships, and betrayal, but nonetheless, these cliques remain together, no matter what.
Introducing: the freaks and the geeks of Hagerty High School.

kosette.
hey!!
i'm kosette, but you can call me k, kos, kose, maddi (that's my real name), or just kosette, if you prefer - i'm honestly fine with whatever. i spent about 2 years on rpn previously before life caught up with me too fast and i couldn't find the time for it anymore. however, i'm back now better than ever and hoping to have even more fun and meet more people than before.
if you're thinking the name of this rp sounds familiar, you might be thinking of the netflix show 'freaks and geeks'. though i did find the inspiration from this amazing show (i'd highly recommend it if you haven't already seen it), this roleplay is only loosely based on it and does not require any prior knowledge from the series.
i have lots of other interests and hobbies, and i'd love to get to know everyone and be friends as well as rp partners!

extra.
This roleplay will be a highly advanced roleplay; I'm expecting very thoroughly developed characters along with descriptive writing and the ability to post at at least 2-4 times a week. If you are unable to keep up with these requirements, please refrain from applying. (If you're very busy but would still like to join, contact me and we could possibly work out something about you either sharing a character with someone else or playing a minor extra character.)
Additionally, there are no specific "roles" to fill for this rp, other than 6 "freaks" and 6 "geeks". I will release a character sheet for applicants to begin completing once I have received 5 people showing interest. For the time being, here are a few things I'd like to highlight about how the characters and rules will go:
- male and female roles should be somewhat even
- gender, sexuality, and RACE should vary (I don't want every character being a cis white hetero guy/girl. It's okay to have some like that, but please try to be inclusive otherwise I'll actually get pissed off.)
- I'll be really lenient with the character sheet; you don't have to follow it word for word. If you prefer to use a sheet from a past roleplay and it happens to exclude 1 or 2 of my expectations, or includes a few extra, I most likely won't mind.]

geeks.
Who said school can't be fun? Often mistaken for nerds, these kids find fascination in all things "geeky" - video games, sci-fi movies, comic books, fantasy. They tend to do well in school as well, typically having no trouble finding time to complete assignments or study, as this particular group spends little time outside of their bedrooms and school - or, so the school may think.
Though they're known for their awkwardness and lack of realization to social cues, there's much more to this group than appears to the eye. They regularly struggle to make it in with the popular crowd, but unfortunately, they also frequently fail while doing so.
