LET'S GET IT ON!

In this corner:

The Seventh Legion fully decked out with Prosthetics of Clockwork Elegance.

This battle incorporates all of the armies having access to their choice of Artifacts and Siege Weapons.

But, where's the Lover Clad In the Raiment Of Tears?  Damnit, I need my Abyssal whore-house with it's queen of seduction!!!

Fine...  I'll cast my lot in with the First and Forsaken Lion...

I stopped reading after "A perfect circle with high essence solars". Assuming there are no celestial incarna involved a circle like that is unstoppable. Or as close as you can get to it.

considering my perfect high essence circle would have used far too many iterations of imue amalgam to make super craftsmen who can build 5 metal shrokes en masse and wild couldron tech can give me the manses needed

solars

I'd prefer to think you didn't go far enough with the others.  Shame on you!

BTW, where's the Yozi love?  Isn't anyone afraid of demons anymore?

They can't come out and play without permission, so they didn't get a spot on the list.

What about the Dragon Kings, Godsdammit!? Where are the Draygun Keeengs?

And shouldn't Yu-Shan and its forces have a say?

I didn't vote the Illuminated Cult... but thought that this old poster was appropos...

In this corner:
The Silver Pact with their Silver Faction allies.
What? All two of them? *chuckles* :P

Of the list, if it's each one on one...I think I'll lay money on the Seventh Legion, though...twice repelling the realm, holding back the fae...they know war and working together.

I've got to vote 7th Legion as well. They are trained together, they've used to using Shogunate tactics and gear...and their troops are too. They already have the gear, the training, and the spirit. Add in DB War charms, and troop booster charms...and the quiet support of the Maiden of Battles until their time has come...and of course Tu Yu and Tien Yu in your court... :) War is what they do. Now, if someone favored a social war...then things might go differently.

The problem of the seventh is that they are used to technological superiority. They are simply not used to battling foes on equal terms and a solar led army out of the wyld would easily be on par with them. That is... before the essence 8 night caste goes to town on the seventh all of his own and leaves only smoldering ruins for his circlemates.

The seventh would probably not even be able to handle comparatively minor threats like a full blown invasion of the lion or autochton.

I'm voting the Autocthonians.

Remember, that's All of Autocthonia, a world as big as creation, with much better-equipped people and hundreds, perhaps thousands of Exalts that outstrip DBs and have access to a circle of "Sorcery" on par or slightly better than celestial.

They got guns. Lots of guns.

I'd still vote for them if it were just the Alchemicals, as they've a higher stock of high-essence exalts than any other faction (DBs being mortal, Siddies being limited and the others being hunted) and some of them are capable of taking out countries through normal attacks (Giant flying high essence alchemical warships FTW!) without any real expenditure of essence.

Guns? You have READ their book, haven't you? They have CROSSBOWS. And  shortswords, and buff jackets. Sorry...but that's not something too troublesome. They also have no experience with either Creation or taking large armies into the field. They have no experience with major supply lines. Exactly why the Locust Crusade assumes they are a credible threat is debatable. Sure they're a threat to Gem...but then, so is a two year old. Crossbows and buff jackets don't cut it against Essence Cannons, Lightning Ballista, Gunzosha Armor, Shock Pikes and Ashigaru Armor...without brining in the toys that MORTALS can't use without even awakening their essence.

now if you Golden Rule them guns, that can make a difference, but as written, your Autochtonians are screwed. Their tactics and logistics are poorly thought out, and they aren't even as well equiped as the Realm's Legions.

Geh. Seems this is eating even regular posts today.

Yeah, crossbows that are rapid fire, gyroscopic chakrams that can fly around corners to hit people (all without the need to add charms), beam klaives that cut thru other swords and slice off limbs, and finally, the God-machine protocols.  If you are gathering all the exalts, you cant forget the essence 8 fortress level Alcamedials that spend their off time mass producing war machines.  Steam faction all the way, baby.

Crossbows that won't do any good against even normal armor...much less Ashigaru or Gunzosha armor. Gyroscopic chakrams that do nearly no damage, and are frankly almost worse than the Infinite Chakram...which has  a lower artifact cost. Beamkaliaves aren't bad...but are no different than a normal Artifact 2 daiklaive if your opponent has artifact armor and weapons...like say, even a Ashigaru or Gunzosha trooper will...much less their Dragonblooded officers...who are going to be the real foes of the Alchemicals wielding them.

In the area of gear, the Alchemical and the 7th Legion Dragonblooded are about even, but the Dragonblooded have superior numbers. Further, they have superior artillery and are fielding a fleet of airships...which the Alchemicals don't have a good answer to. Add in a force of Warstriders, which the Autochtonians lack, and Dragonblooded War charms, which will even out most of the God-Machine Protocol advantage easilly. That brings the fight down to who has better troops. The 7th Legion wins there hands down. their mortal troops are much better equiped and better trained...and have experience against a much larger range of foes.

Further they are used to Creation, and are used to maintaigning supply lines across significant distances...something the Autochtoonians have no experience with. Their skyships both supply a massive advantage in artillery and mobility, as well as cutting down on supply issues when compared to the Autochtonian equivalents, which require even more maintenance, and are operated on a 25 hour battery. This rather limits the range at which they can be used...

El-Presidente wasn't paying attention when his Faction got Steamrolled by those Seventh Legion bastards.

Wow I have been Gold faction for ever and ever I just went Steam I didn't vote though with this set up the shit has hit the fan and the Mountian Folk will come out to play I vote them and by default I guess that means Autocthonia, sense the mountian folk will end up hooking up with them ok I vote now.

Equipping most of an army of earth-shattering proportions with Soulsteel weaponry and armor:  200,000+ souls.

Manufacturing enough warstriders and siege weaponry to accompany an army of that size, also built out of Soulsteel:  90,000+ souls.

Unleashing sickness and plague across creation, to harvest more souls to empower your dark plans:  what the hell...  150,000 souls.

Conquering Creation with an ever growing army by enslaving those you kill, while plunging all of existance into Oblivion...  Ok, so it comes at a price of several million souls...  But it's still fun!

Dont forget that the essence 5+ Alchamedials are basically Warstriders without the problems of frequent maintenence and attunement cost.  For those that want to thump the rule book, in the Locust War, when the Empire attacked the forces at the Lap, they had 100,000 troops, 1000 DB's, and over 500 warships attacking a force of 10,000 with only 10 Alchedicals.  They were "crushed entirely by the Alchemicals' protocols and their superior defense strategies.  Three-fourths of the Realms mortal forces die, with the rest being taken as slaves."

That says quite a lot about the strength of their tech.  Mortal forces outnumbered 10-to-1, and Exalts outnumbered 100-to-1 and they still wiped out their attackers.
