Alright, I've tried to make Ever After High roleplays here quite a few times, but they never really took off. Albert Einstein once described insanity as trying the same thing repeatedly and expecting different results, so I'mma try again.
Alright, so, the RP will take place after Epic Winter and the basic idea will be finding out who or what was behind the destiny hoax/conspiracy/whatever and whether that was all part of a bigger plan.
Here's how we'll handle characters. From what I've seen, most Ever After High fan works involving OCs get rid of the canons and replace them with OCs. We won't do that. Instead, we'll have canons and OCs. And in order to get around the limitation imposed by the fairytale theme of EAH, you'll be able to make up your own fairytale for your OCs to be part of. This way you'll no longer have to find some obscure fairytale not represented by any canon character (although you can still do that if you want to). You'll also be able to bring crossover characters or OCs that you created for other fandoms and make it so that the work they come from is a fairytale in-universe, under a few conditions. Basically, if you use crossover characters, you must do it in such a way that other roleplayers won't have to be familiar with the work that your characters come from. Also, you can't use a crossover character that contradicts the logic of the Ever After High universe. For example, you can't bring Evie from Disney's The Descendants because Evie and Raven can't both be the daughters of the Evil Queen. Or you can make a character who's not the destiny child of a famous story character if you can come up with a good enough reason for that (for example, if their story is just about to start).
The genre won't simply be the standard fairytale-style fantasy. There will also be some sci-fi thrown in, so it'll be science-fantasy. This is mainly to give people more options when creating their characters. After all, people in Ever After already have magical smartphones and whatnot, so why not take it a step further?
