She didn't want Stephanie involved in the world she had lived in, so she moved across the country to New York. There she opened a multiple martial arts dojo, which Stephanie trained at everyday after school. When Stephanie left for her freshmen year of college- to study anthropology-, her mom was murdered in their old apartment. While she was unsatisfied they never found the killer she continued her anthropologic studies at Fordham.

Stephanie is sarcastic and sassy, she sometimes hurts people's feelings but doesn't always know it. She grew up with a strong independent mother and is in turn very independent. She hates it when people assume that she is incapable of doing things for herself.
