Idea Escape an asylum!!

Hello hello! I have played in a few DnD games and I’ve dmed for one! I had an interesting idea where it’s a homebrew campaign but.. I don’t know if people would enjoy it or not.

A campaign where your characters are patients with various mental disorders and you’re trying to escape while also dealing with the symptoms of the disorders, for example you’d roll to see if you do or do not have a panic attack.

This would have races available but classes will not.

Would anyone be interested in a campaign like this?

I'm not currently available for new RPs right now, but I can at least tell you that this would be so directly down my alley it's not even funny. I really love this idea, and I hope you gather interest for it.

I dislike games with dice mechanics for personal reasons, so I would not join, but I think this sounds really fascinating! You may want to be careful with your portrayal of mental illness though. Not saying that I think you will write it distastefully or anything like that, just that misrepresentation of mental illness tends to be commonplace in the writing sphere and it can also be a seriously sensitive subject for some. A possible way to approach this could be, maybe, to create fictional disorders for your players to choose from?

Either way, it's a cool concept, so I think you should give it a shot! ◝(ᵔᗜᵔ)◜
