Fandom Eris New Family

He gave a small sigh of relief, remembering what Mic had told him. Raising a child wasn't going to be easy. But, once you had a good bond with them, especially if they come from a bad background, things will become easier for the both of you. It wasn't going to be an overnight deal. It may take some time. Just keep a level head and an open heart and then things will work itself out.

Eri finished the picture and smiled proudly and carefully pulled the picture out of the book. She was careful not to tear the picture it self. But once she was done she folded it in half, wrote on it with her crayon, and slid off the chair and went to him. She timidly reached up with one hand and gently pulled on his shirt.

"Um... Mister Aizawa?" She asked looking up at him as she tugged on his shirt a few more times before letting her hand drop

She smiled and held the folded picture out to him with a smile on her face. The folded piece of paper had "THANK YOU" written in a dark green color. "Um... t-this is for you, Mr. Aizawa. For being so nice to me today." She said

The man felt his heart melt a bit when she presented the picture to him. His hands quavered a bit, holding it. When he opened it, he knew his heart was melting and was happy to see she was happy. Wrapping his arms around her, he gave her a gentle hug. "Thank you, Eri. It's beautiful. And thank you for allowing me to share this day with you."

The picture was a cleanly drawn picture of the hero Kaumi Woods, who had gain quite a bit of popular with kids in the past year, thkugh the colors were completely wrong. But it was a gift from the heart and it was the only thing the girl could give.

The girl gave a giggle and wrapped her arms around his neck, returning the hug. "You're welcome. I had a lot of fun today! I was kind of nervous you'd be mean cuz you look grumpy at school. But you're really nice!" She said

"I just get a bit tired during the day." He explained, letting go. "I'm sorry if I made you worry with my appearance. I didn't mean to give you the wrong impression."

"It's ok. I get cranky when I'm sleepy to." The girl said smiling at him, "But that doesn't change that you're really nice." She said looking at him with a giggle

He smiled until he smelt something off. Like something was burning....

"Oh crap! The sauce!" Letting her go, he quickly turned around to the stove and pulled off the pot, praying he didn't burn it. Thankfully, it seemed to be okay.

Eri flinched as the man suddenly let go of her and turned back to the pasta sauce. She tried standing on her tippy toes to see the sauce. The burnt smell filling the kitchen. But Aizawa didn't throw the sauce away so she figured it was OK. But even on her tippy toes the girl couldn't see the sauce pan.

"I think we're almost ready for dinner. Just got to make the pasta real quick." He said, turning to her. "Could you clean up the table? And I'll help you set it. I think I got some rolls we can have as a side."

"Ok!" The girl said and went to the table and grabbed her coloring stuff off of it, putting the crayons back in the box, and took them to her room and put them on her little pink table. She quickly got back to the kitchen to help Aizawa with the table

He was setting down a plate of rolls. "You want to get the napkins? They should be in the drawer closest to the fridge."

"Thank you." He said, grabbing the forks and some juice from the fridge. "You're so helpful. I never gotten this much help before." At least, not around the house. But, he didn't want to say that part.

The girl said the nakins on the table beside the plates, needing to step on her tippy toes to do so, but managed. Then climbed back into her chair and waited.

He sat down next to her, poured her some juice into her cup, and handed her a roll. "And if you're still hungry after this plate, please tell me. I'll get you some more. I don't want you to go to bed hungry."

"Ok will do." She said taking the roll and and sat it down before starting to eat her dinner. Smiling happily at the taste of the more homemade style of the sauce, instead of the cafeteria style she was use to. She did try her best to eat the food neatly... but she did get a bit of sauce on her face and clothes. But not to much. "This is really good!" The girl chirped, using her roll to mop up the left over sauce on her plate

"Really? I'm glad to hear that." He smiled. "I was hoping you like it. To be honest, I haven't cooked in a while."

"Really?!" She asked shocked by the statement, "I thought you were a professional!" The girl said to him, finishing her roll and slowly slid the plate to him, "Could I have more please?"

He laughed, taking her plate. "Thank you for the compliment. But, sadly no. Just a normal teacher and hero."

"We'll if you ever quite being one of those you could be a chef." She said with a beaming smile. She didn't really understand that it was just canned sauce and noodles... but she loved the food either way

He bite his lip to hold back the laughter. "If you say so. Here's your plate." Aziawa handed her back a plate full of spaghetti.
