- Height: 6'2
Weight: 172 lbs ( about 81 kg in case "someone" doesn't know pounds)
Gray eyes, dark blond hair- Toby could be said to be arrogant at times. Or cold and calculating. Or vengeful and unforgiving. Toby could be said to be many negative things, and all of them would be true. Raised to become the perfect human does not mean raised to be the kindest person. More than almost anyone, he knew the price and value of power, the lesson that his parents themselves had engraved into his mind at a very young age. For young Toby, being monitored and watched was the sign and proof of the system's power. Watching what it could do to others, ruining families and breaking corporations easily with a mere whisper of the virus, he thirsted for that very power ever since.
The first thing he did was to give himself a perfect record. Lucky for him, faking was his parents' specialty, and with their influence being the rich and powerful, the system loosened up enough to allowed them to give him lessons of themselves here and there. Toby had always been a quick learner, but he was a genius when driven. He did everything that was expected of him, nothing more, nothing less, being as ordinary as he knew how. The long years was like torture, but the result was a perfect record when he reached 18, and that gave him the leasure and space he needed to set his lust free.
Toby's thrist for power was his sole and strongest purpose. His ambition could easily drown out other emotions, of which kindness and compassion was lacking in the first place. He trusted his instincts above all else, which he had horned over the years playing the game of power. He is selfish, arrogant, vengeful and unforgiving, and extremely sensitive when it comes to his ego and pride. He does not work well with others. Toby simply tolerate their presence if it suits him and his purpose. He would insult and humiliate a nobody without ever thinking about it again. He doesn't have friends, only associates who would be useful to him in his quest for power. Many of them considered him their friend, but he wouldn't think twice before getting rid of them once they had outlived their usefulness.
Toby Syrus looks down at everyone else. He would trample on anyone and anything that stands in his way to the top, for they were nothing but pawns on his chess board to be moved and sacrifice. He lusted for power, not because of what he could do with it, but to prove that he truely was above everyone else.
Virtues/Strengths: Incredibly smart and unpredictable. You can tell that he is going to stab you, just not from which way or with what (metaphorically of course). Fear, when he does have it (rarely) only drives him forward more ferociously.
Flaws/Weaknesses: Is a cold and heartless bastard (not sure if this can be counted as a flaw. It worked out pretty well for him). His ambition makes him extremely paranoid. It also sometimes blind him to the damage he was doing to himself mentally and physically to achive what he had set out to do.
- Born to Robert and Madelyn Syrus, co-owner of Syrus Corporation, one of the largest and most influential business in the remainng world, Tobias Syrus could have grown up to be a total brat. Instead, with every toy and every servant he had, the more he understood the meaning of power. Not money, but power itself, the ability to affect his and other people's life. His lust for power truely started when he was 12. His parents, with him watching, destroyed a conpetitor business within 2 hours of spreading rumors and attacking financially. That very day, he saw his family's true sphere of influence. From that very day he started to dream of that sphere being his, of all the things he could achive with it. It was a rather childish dream at the time, but the seed was planted and the tree of oambition started to grow.
Under his father's guidance, Toby was able to get a stainless record, both mentally and physically. It got him off the radar of the system, passed on as a filthily rich but otherwise ordinarily perfect human. Grown up yet his dream stayed, only matured and became more realistic, Toby set his plan on motion. Easily getting high enough of a grade to pass in college, he spent much of his time starting to establish relationships and getting to know all the people in high places through his parents, leaving a rather memorable impression in their mind. He worked to make a name for himself, separated from his parents and only call for their assisatance when absolutely necessary, so that people would know him as Tobias Syrus, not son of the Syrus family. Toby spent the first three years until he was 21 creating a web of influence of his own. He started moving up in the world, subtle and slow but steady. Soon, he could already set up a business to his name, and even if it wasn't overall too successful, it provided more weight in his word.- A mild annoyance came up when he was 21, the result of his Love Havest pair. It was even more annoying that his "future wife", Jane Herison, was a commoner, a girl 3 years younger than him. He was moving up in the world, and a wife was something he had no time for, even if she wouldn't turn out to be a burdan afterward. But he couldn't straight up deny the system's decision, not yet anyway.
Toby tolerated her, pretending to welcome her into his life. She was a sweet little girl, born in a ordinary family, another perfect and boring creation of the system. She didn't love him, it was obvious, but she tried to. She did all the romantic and wife-like things she could think of, making him dinners herself, caring for his house and his servants. It ticked him off a lot, having his usual scene messed around by a more or less stranger who thought they knew better. But he stretched his limits and pretended to appriciate what she was trying to do.
His patience snapped once she stepped over the line. Two years prior, when Toby had only started to step into the big league, he had an important meeting with the opposition business, which he invited to his mansion. His "wife", although told specificly NOT to disturb him during his business meetings, decided to give him a suprise. She herself served them tea and food, interrupting the conversations to talk about all the exquisite dishes she had made for this occasion, showing all the degree of affection she could master. It, as he had feared, gave the impression of weakness to the wrong man, who from that day on caused him no end of trouble. She had done the thing he had said exclusively NOT to do.
Slowly, Toby started pushing her away, began with small and irregular annoyance expressed toward her, and grudually grew colder and distant, all the while keeping the fake polite and gentleman-like manner, until the point that his action and manner contrasted so much that everything was clearly unsincere. His sneer became present in almost every sentence, though still subtle, his disdain and contemp obvious in his posture. Step by step, Toby alienated his wife from his life, not only making her feel unworthy but also guilty, blaming herself for what was being done to him. The sweet innocent girl didn't have enough real life experience to know better. Plagued with guilt and regret, she killed herself one year prior to the present, jumping off the balcony of his office on the 30th floor. Toby mourned her death and moved on. No new wife had been assigned to him since then.
