Episode 2: The Wolf of New York

"Elsa, huh?..." David asked, grinning. "Next thing you tell me is that you have a sister called Anna, and that het husband has a reindeer." Referencing the disney movie. He listened to her words carefully, and was glad that her explantation took so much time. "I'm pretty sure that Mr. Trickster knew what he was doing when he chose me for the job." David's hand finally reached the red button and pressed it. An alarm was sent to the gangsters stationed in a back alley behind the parlor. He just had to play the waiting game with her, and it wouldn't be too long anyway. "So, do you like... Oh, I don't know. See the cards? You must have found me somehow? Unless it was you that delivered it to my doorstep." David glanced at the watch on his hand with the corner of his eye to see. David smirked at Elsa tauntingly, feeling confident that he had already won.

Elsa smiled.  "Do I see the cards?  I'm afraid I cannot disclose that information,"  Elsa sighed and placed a hand on her hip.  And tilted her head.  "I can tell you though that I delivered your card to you personally.  Does that make you happy?"  he said in a teasing voice.  "Is that all you need?  You might not have another chance to chat with me..."  She grinned.

David heard her words about happiness and nodded. "Very, very happy. I'm ecstatic right now." And paused, he looked to the side to see the phone that he had set up when still talking to... Morgan Freeman. It was still recording the conversation. David smiled, and upon hearing her last words, he turned to see her grin. "Are you sure about that?" He asked her. "Because..." He stopped once again. David got up from his chair and reached for his gun and phone, shoving the former in his suit and taking the latter in his hand to show her that the conversation is recorded. "I have some discriminating evidence. Besides, I think you're gonna stay here a little while." Hiding his phone in his pants, as several Demon gang members opened the door suddenly and violently. There were 4 of them, 3 of which armed with sub-machine guns, and one with a rope in his hands. "Tie her up and show her the basement, boys. I'm not quite done asking questions."

As David ordered, the man with the rope approached Elsa to attempt to tie her up. He was hesitant in his movements and expecting resistance, however at the same time he had anxious confidence in him, expecting the other thugs that had the machine guns with them to be enough of a motivation to cooperate. David sat back in his chair and grinned devilishly. "Checkmate, Ice Queen."

"Ice queen?"  Elsa flinched at the name calling.  She frowned.  "How undignified... I have shown you nothing but warm courtesy..."  She glanced at the thugs now approaching behind her.  She looked at David who is now pointing a barrel at her.  "You have made some great moves that got you this far, David... but I think this move will be considered your biggest misplay..."  She sighed and shook her head.  "We are not your enemy..."

Two of the thugs slowly put on white masks with eyes written in silver on their foreheads.  The masked thugs then pointed their weapons on the one with the rope and the unmasked man with a sub machine gun.

BRATATATATATA!

The short burst of the submachine gun echoed through the room... the unmasked thugs didn't expect such unpredictable betrayal.  Their brains now scattered all over David's carpet.

The two masked men pointed their sub-machine guns at David.

"We have eyes everywhere David... we have people where you least expect,"  She smirked as the thugs moved closer to David.

"Put the gun down, and play the game David... there is no use trying to find cheat codes..."  She winked and crossed her arms confidently.

David quickly lost his cocky smile, as he heard the incredibly loud gunshots ringing in his ears from incredibly near range. "Well, that hurt my ears." He exclaimed, his face and eyes becoming rather neutral, yet dissapointed. David sighed, laying his gun down on the desk beside him. It misfired and the bullet nearly hit one of Elsa's men. "Whoops. Didn't mean that." David added in a sarcastic tone.

"Oh, really?" He asked, then continued, still well-composed, trying not to show signs of fear. "I'm terrified!" He added jokingly, then took the phone in his hand and added. "I'm quite afraid I've recorded everything that you said, and that transpired in this room, and--" David moved his finger closer to the sceen, nearly touching it. "I think I'll share it with my friends." He smiled again, then laughed. Even if Elsa was to do anything, David already saved the recording on his computer, and he knew the way that the police can pull out data even after it was removed permamently. "How about this deal? I'll give you my phone so you can call mommy, and in exchange: Your boys clean up the mess you've made on my carpet, we'll forget all of this, AND you'll give me the location of the nearest, compatible black card that I don't own. How's that sound?" David changed his sassy tone to a childish one and added. "Unless you want a kiss aswell!" Plucking his lips and smooching the air in front of him jokingly.

Elsa held back a chuckle and facepalmed.  "David, David, David... I told you once and I'll tell you again..."  Her eyebrows tilted up and looked at him sympathetically.  "Haven't you read the note we left in the box?  You can do anything you want.  You can tell anyone about the cards if you want, you can rip up your card... if that makes you happy.  We never wanted to get in your way..."  Elsa shook her head and dropped down her open palms to the her side.  "We have absolutely no desire to stop you from making this public... If that is what you wish, go for it!  More power to you!  Take the statements of "Elsa" and publish it on the internet, hell if I care..."  Her voice got more and more condescending.  "I will not do anything for you that will interfere with the progress of the other participants... nor will I do anything to interfere with your plans..."  Elsa laughed so hard that tears came from her eyes.  The thugs vanished and the corpses on the floor also blurred away... the event was just an illusion.  "Do you know why we allow you to keep doing anything you want?  It's because we already own the world, my ambitious pet... nothing you can do can alter the course of humanity..."  She walked up to David and grinned at him.  "Do... whatever.. you want..."  She whispered to his ear.  "I'll just keep watching..."  She said seductively to his ear.

"Sorry for startling you, If this is all you need from me... I'll leave you to your own devices..."  She said as she turned around and moved gracefully towards the doorway.  "Farewell!"

Art grumbled to himself, and took a sip from his mug of coffee. This usually happened whenever he had plans with his sister. He looked outside at the window at the busy Manhattan street and sighed. Every person that walked by had somewhere to be and something to do. All of them had a story and a family. And here he was, sitting in a small diner, waiting for his sister.

"Sir, would you like something to eat?" A waitress that was bordering on seventy years-old said in a kindly voice, flipping open a yellow notepad, and clicking a small green pen.

Art was quiet for a second, thinking about his response. "Sure. I'll have... I'll have the half-pound burger, an order of fries, and a cola." The waitress nodded, and scribbled down his order, before leaving to give it to the cook.

Zephyra MacNessa

The woman sighed as the taxi pulled into the diner parking lot. She quickly paid him, and walked in. A few of y he people in there recognized her giving her quick smiles or muttering a quite hi. She respond them in anyway but a nod as she joined her brother.

"Hello Arthur," She said, sounding either tired or still pissed off. Maybe a mix of the two. "I haven't had the best of days, so if could spare the speach, I'd love it."

"I have better news, Zeph..." Arthur said with a smile, looking at his phone. He set the phone down on the table, and picked up a french fry from his plate.

"Milo got a card." Arthur said, happily munching on his food. "And he's coming back home." He then slid his sister the diner menu.

"I'm buying. The burgers are great here."

She smiled, first good news of the day. "Really?" She asked, picking up the menu to look over it. "Oh, and Milo comming back is good news too," She chuckled. Zephyra decided on what she wanted pretty quickly since she wasn't really that hungry.

"I heard two more card-holders stole from the casino. Have you ever thought about recruiting card-holders into the business?" Art said, passing her a fry.

"These fries are pretty good too."

Sunni was numb. She didn't react much if she even noticed an elderly man just appearing behind her- this was like her fourth random adult encounter. She sort of just ignored him and looked over back to Mr. Irons’s [ @IamNotLoki ] car. She then stared at the door. Sunni didn't want to go anywhere near that place. She backed away and stood at a tree, grabbing it and holding it as if it was the only thing keeping her from fainting... Which it really was. Unknown to her, the tree's leaves were rapidly turning shades of orange and red and yellow; falling to the ground and browning; and decomposing back into where it came from. The air seemed a bit chillier, as if just around her it was becoming winter.

Sunni made a sort of half laughing , half sobbing sound. Her brain had finally processed what she saw.

My parents are dead.

The girl fell to her hands and knees and started to tear up.

My parents are dead.

Morgan sighed and placed his arm around the girl's shoulders. "Something happened that day. The tragic story of Sunni had begun. A strong feeling of warmth around the house appeared, while two angels took Sunni's parents into the sky." He said, as strong light was emitted by the house's windows and two Morgan Freemans appeared and took the two poor souls and took them in heaven. Obviously, it was all an illusion and only Sunni could see that. "Breathe, little one. Let it all out." He said softly, looking at the tears slowly dropping onto the concrete floor, making small black dots onto the stairs. Morgan sighed once again and spoke once more. "But the girl knew something. She knew that she couldn't give up so easily. Her parents have given everything they had for her to grow up as a wonderful person. And she knew that she couldn't waste her life being sad about them. She knew that she had to honor them and had to live a happy life in their memory." He whispered into the air, another chorus slowly playing in the distance.

Zephyra MacNessa

She refused the fry, "I don't know if they were card holders or not, but they looked ridiculous. I think they were dressed up as Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask," She said this with a sigh. "I can't say I'm not impressed, nobody has done that since before dad was in charge. But 50 million seems a bit much. They also took a painting, but it's not even an interesting one."

She slouched back in her seat, before straighting up again, And they quoted Team Rocket, like, why?" Zephyra ran a hand through her hair. "I'm not sure if I should congratulate them or kill them."

Delphin a entered the pawnshop with excitement.  A few days ago Delphina's stepmother, Adrian,  found a picture of Selki, Delphina's mother.  She was quite surprised but Delphina's father admitted that sometime in the past Selki had her pictures taken for a documentary or by some photographer.  They had noticed Selki's striking features, the silver hair and hazel eyes that appeared to be made of pure gold.  It was not rare for people from Selki's bloodline to have these features, of which Delphina and two of her siblings have.  At first, Delphina felt weird about bringing a picture of her mother into their home because of Adrian, but the woman reassured her that it would not be a big deal and it is more of a present for the kids.

Delphina walked around the shop searching for the picture and noticed a few books regarding Egyptian pantheon and magic.  After talking with LA for a while, and exchanging phone numbers, the black card mystery was on her mind as she walked to the pawn shop and finding these books peaked her interest.  Delphina picked the books up and tucked them under her arm as she searched for the picture,"I wonder....What is this Olympus Group.....What are these cards?.....Isis......."  Delphina had did her own small bit of research after finding the card, but nothing too in depth.  She knew that Isis was associated with magic, nature, mother, and being the perfect wife.

Delphina found the picture rather quickly as she was in thought about the cards.  Looking at the picture a few memories from the day of her death appeared in her mind.  It made her upset it made her want revenge.  The only thing she wanted to do was rip that person's head off.  The person who she blamed for this pain.  The person she hated the most.....Herself....If Delphina would have never been a part of that gang her mother would have never been killed and the twins wouldn't have been put in danger.  Pushing the thought to the back of her head she walked to the store's cashier and smiled, as she took out the cash for the stuff,"Um...could you deliver these to this address tonight?"The clerk nodded and Delphina turned on her heels with one of the books in hand, leaving the store with her head stuck in a book.  Delphina turned down an alley to take the shortcuts home, even though it was slightly more dangerous.

(TWO MORGAN FREEMANS AHA)

Sunni widened her eyes as she saw two rather strange angels taking her parents to heaven. Somehow from somewhere, she felt comforted. She knew that she couldn't give up. Her parents had given everything they had for her to grow up well. She couldn't just sit there and be sad. She had to live a happy life in their memory. But then... How did her parents die? It was obviously a murder... Sunni wiped her face, and she realized she was cold. She got up and looked around her, forgetting that anybody was near her.

The tree's already bare and the leaves are decomposing...

That seemed a bit strange. Sunni looked back at her room. She opened the door and tried to look away from the two corpses in front of her. The girl quickly grabbed her phone and her backpack, stuffed it with some food and money (conveniently stolen from her parents... she tried not to feel too bad), and rushed back out. She then sat next to the tree and took out the business card. She could call Mr. Irons...

Mr. Irons might be busy. She thought. I guess I'll sleep somewhere for the night and then call him in the morning...

The girl frowned.

I could sleep in my own room...

Sunni didn't really like the idea of waking up and having to step over dead bodies.

Oh right... I should probably call the police and tell them about my parents...

Sunni dialed 911 and waited. She told her address, explained her problem, then hung up and waited some more.

(any cop character whatever can pick up from there i guess)

Lavernius was thankful she had accepted his apology. He shivered as memories he'd rather not remember tried to come back. LA pushed them away violently and managed to focus on the woman's words. But, they were interrupted by a hot dog cart owner? Lavernius was confused at this man's sudden appearance. Why was he yelling at them? He peered over the man's shoulder and spotted it down the road. The memory of the brief feeling impact after his daring run came back and his eyes widened. Lavernius also spotted that the stand that held that cart in place was up. He turned to watch the woman tear into the man and couldn't help the smile that spread across his face.

"Sorry buddy, but you left the stand up." Lavernius said. "There's no way my fall should have sent the cart that far if at all. But with no stand up, you saw what happened."

Bonie and Clyde skipped along the street heading towards their Cajun Restaurant.  "What a wonderful night Bonnie!"  Clyde twirled and spun with the bag of pokemon toys.  Bonnie skipped along and put an arm on Clyde shoulders.  "Happy Night!  hehe!"  She laughed.  The two skipped on and grinned at a woman passing them by...  it was Delphina.  "Howdy!"  Clyde took off his Ash Ketchum hat.  "Howdy!"  Bonnie skipped and did a military salute as she kept on skipping next to Clyde.

Pretty soon cops arrived in Sunni's area.

Jim who was waiting outside saw the commotion and walked to where Sunni was.  The cops moved aside recognizing him as the commissioner.  He looked at the gruesome scene.  "What happened here?"  Jim covered his mouth in disgust.  "Were still conducting preliminary data gathering..."  A woman working for the CSU said as she placed yellow placeholders on the bodies.  Policemen began putting up crime scene tapes.

A black car pulled over and Detective Mark Hamilton came out.  He greeted Jim. "Whoa commissioner, small world... what are you doing here?"  He asked Jim.  "Errr... this kid needed a ride home so I took her here..."  He sighed.  "Y'think it's the mangler?"  He whispered to Mark.

"Hmmm... not sure... maybe we should wait until autopsy comes b---"  Jim shook his head and pulled Mark away.  "Try not to talk about these things in front of her, k?"  He motioned his head towards Sunni.  "I'll get her hot chocolate..." Mark said as he returned to his car.

Jim put an arm on Sunni's shoulder.  "Don't hold it in... come on..."  He turned her around and gave her a warm hug.

Sunni was sad, of course. This was her parent's death. The little voice in the back of her head was also sad... but it was sure delighted to see blood and gore. Sunni was slightly disturbed by this. Of course she had always had that stupid voice in the back of her head, it had came over when she got bullied. Now it was louder and clearer with the black card, and that scared her.

Maybe I'm psychotic?

No... that couldn't be it. Or maybe it could... Well, Sunni didn't have enough money to go to the mental doctor and frankly she didn't want to. The girl watched as police came up, her eyes taking everything in. She saw Mr. Irons and another man whisper, and she caught the word autopsy. She widened her eyes and almost gagged. The image of some scientist probing at her dead parents wasn't the most pleasant. She shook that image away and watched as Mr. Irons came up and gave her a hug.

"Oh..." She murmured, feeling the embrace.

It felt nice to be cared about. Sunni shook her head and looked up at the man, smiling. She refused to cry.

"I'm fine!" She grinned.

Her parents probably died worrying about her.

"My parents lived a good life and they knew I was happy."

She might've died had she stayed home.

"After all, feeling sad is a waste of time..."

But her parents died with an unhappy face.

Sunni forced the smile on her face wider. How exactly did she decide that she couldn't feel sad? Something inside of her seemed to feel like someone else had thrown thoughts inside of her, but that couldn't be possible... could it?  The girl hugged the man back, though, mainly because she was happy that she had some support from someone.

Mark returned with a mug of hot chocolate.  Jim let go of Sunni and Mark handed her the mug.  "careful.. It's hot..."  Mark said as he adjusted his glasses.

Jim scratched his head and sighed in frustration.  "Do you have anywhere to go?  You need to call your relatives?"  He asked her.  Not only is it sad to lose someone, it's also a hassle and t try and pay for the funeral costs and services... especially as a kid.

The girl thanked the man and took the mug Would Sunni have to go back to Japan? The girl blinked, rather unsure. So instead, she took a deep sip of the hit chocolate... and burned the whole inside of her mouth. Ouch. The girl looked back at the police cars. She didn't understand death, and it was a bit obvious. She didn't truly know that when her parents were dead, they were dead, and that Sunni couldn't be sure that they were actually taken to heaven  by two Morgan Freeman's or if they were taken anywhere at all. She couldn't wrap her poor mind around the concept of life and the concept of death. Rather it seemed she was acting as if her parents were just going away forever to some other place. That wasn't inaccurate, but it definitely wasn't death.

She smiled, still stalling a bit.

"Ouch."

Jim rubbed the back of his neck.  "I guess you can stay at my place for a while.  I live and sleep at the police station anyways, would you like that?"  He asked Sunni.  "You can stay there for a while until you get in contact with your relatives, how about it?"  Jim offered.

"Sir, I have organized the thing you wanted me to organize back at HQ.  Why don't you leave this case for Detective Clarke and Armstrong, we need to focus n the Mangler case..."  Mark said to Jim in private.

"Alright alright..."  Jim waved him away.  "What do you say, kid?"

The book on the Egyptian pantheon was very intriguing to Delphina.  So many things happened but she didn't see it as convoluted as the greek mythos.  As she was walking she noticed an odd couple coming in her direction.  Delphina looked the couple up and down as they skipped past her.  The only thing she could think while looking at them was that they were really strange, drunk, or just smoke a truckload of weed,"Ugh....Hi?"  Delphina spoke with a little confusion as she continued to stare at them.  Turning back to her book she continued to walk as she was reading she uttered the words,"Locust,"Accidently casting a spell and since the last people she thought of was Bonnie and Clyde the locust descended upon them.

Jennifer finally reached the police station. She was about to head in before she realized something rather important. If she told them about the person who had attempted to mug her, and they actually found him in that alleyway...what if he was dead? The police would probably arrest her, and she'd end up in jail for killing someone even if it was in self defense. And it was really damn likely that he would have bled out by now, and would either be dead, or really close to death. This was a serious crisis of conscience. What was she supposed to do? She stood outside the police station for a moment, thinking it over in her head before deciding not to mention the attempted mugging she'd experienced earlier. After all, if they found a dead guy with his arm blown off where she would have told them that the guy tried to mug her they were sure to try and question her about it. She headed in, and after a rather short discussion she managed to get directions back to her house.

As she headed back home, she mulled over what had occurred earlier in her head. The walk was going to be rather long, so she had ample time to think about what she'd done. She'd blown a guy's arm off by accident, and had no idea how she'd even done it. Thinking back to what had happened, she'd just sort of...done something. She couldn't even remember. She sighed, shaking her head and continuing on her walk. She'd figure out what she'd done later, hopefully. She didn't want to try and figure it out right now in case she ended up accidentally hurting someone, since she was walking down a rather crowded street at the moment. She'd probably accidentally killed that guy, but, he kind of had it coming. He did try and mug her after all. Not that she didn't feel extremely guilty about doing it, but, she did acknowledge that the guy did kinda deserve it. "Doesn't make it right though..." She mutters to herself, somewhat in disagreement with herself. She kept walking, having nothing really to do but get home at this point.

Bonnie felt something drop on her shoulder.  It was a grasshopper.  "WHOAOAHH!" She exclaimed, looking at the grasshopper with her big eyes.  "Look Cyde!"  She said as Clyde also looked at a grasshopper.  "That's pretty cool! Ha!"  Clyde laughed... another grasshopper went into his mouth.  He flinched as he swallowed it.  Bonnie went hysterical!  "HAHAHAHAHA!  You at it!"  Another grasshopped landed on Bonnie's face.  "EEK!"  She shouted, slapping the bug off her face.  The a sound similar to rain can be heard getting closer and closer.  Clyde spit out what's left of the bug.  "Blegh!"  He said as the noise got closer and closer.  It wasn't rain... it's the sound  of little insect legs hitting the ground.

"B-Bonnie..."  He pointed at the huge cloud of insects headed their way.  "Get off me!"  Bonne pulled out the bug off her face.  Her eyes opened wide when she saw the swarm of locusts coming their way.  "Oh... poop... what do we do Clyde?"

Clyde grinned and put a finger on his chin.  "heh... only one thing we can do my dear Bonnie..."

Bonnie moved her face closer to Clyde's face.

"we..."

"RUN!!!!!!"  The couple ran as fast as they could away from the swarm!

"OWAHAHAHAHHAHAHA!"  Bonnie screamed in terror.

"Yes... please!" Sunni said.

Sunni then wondered why Mr. Irons slept at the police station. Maybe he always had to be on duty?

Must be stressful...

The girl wondered what living at a police station was like. She imagined an office with a sleeping bag... That would be rather depressing... Sunni knew she was sort of assuming that this man lived at the police station, but it seemed a bit likely. She then remembered how one of her officers talked about a mangler...

"What's a Mangler?" She asked.

Come to think of it, Sunni had heard the word on the news before. Then again, she never really listened to it due to how fast the weather forecast was.
