"Yep that will be one trillion yen." stifles a bit of a cheeky smile just to chuckle lightly, "No silly, it's just a sandwich. I'm always prepared with oodles of snacks to hold me over throughout the day. Not to mention there is always the food they provide here on campus if I run out." shrugs a bit and stretches. She took in a deep breath fanning out the back of her hair to let the breeze through it better.

"It really is a nice day out today." she would turn looking to Hikaru, "So you going to the gymnasium for the whole welcome back to Fumizuki speech... the whole you can achieve anything fight hard... blah blah... basic motivational prep school stuff?" Ota seemed earnestly curious rather than just making small talk as most would with her status as one of the top 10 as far as grade total in the school.Heck, Ota wasn't even sure if most students even knew she was that high up there with her reputation for sleeping halfway through tests and zoning out during lectures.

Either way Hikaru here didn't seem to look at her scornfully so either the sandwich curved any anger he may have had. Or Ota had slipped into anonymity around the school as she preferred. As far as she cared she had no desire being recognized as intelligent anyways. She rather be seen as kind and thoughtful then anything else.

Yugata's arrival

180

Coming from her long vacation out of the city, she began to arrive via airport, and travels to her school before the ceremony would begin. However she wanted to get all neat, and professional looking, but decided to do all of that in her limo. Yugata began to get herself ready, and spiffy before arriving at the school in approximately an hour before their arrival, but it may take more time despite traffic. “How’re feeling about the new school year yuga-chii?” Her friend ask. Yuga-chii is the way her friends always call her instead of chan or by her full name. Yugata finished changing by pushing her long blonde hair out of the way of her face, so she could see her friend clearly. “Same old, same old. Nothing new, supposedly we get new students all the time, so it’s just going to be the same shit ya’know?” She says in an irritating tone. “I’m afraid you’re right.” Her friend had felt uneasy, she still felt that it wasn’t necessary to kill of her friends because they wanted to play around with her, however shit happens in this cruel world that they live in.

Yugata began to look at her, as her head was tilted to the side. “The hell is your problem? Don’t think about what had happened back their. Not like they had anything to live for” Yugata quickly grabbed her knife from her right boot, and at an alarming rate she places the tip of the knife on Yujins chin before she could even respond. “Everyone lives, and everyone dies. You should know that I don’t allow people to walk over my boundaries, and violate them like careless bitches.” Yugata sat back at her seat as she twirled with her knife in a circular motion.

Yujin felt like she was right, but at the same time yugata was totally wrong on her side. She was surprised that she wasn’t caught, however yugata knows how to plan her kills, and not let herself get caught by the authority. The security were quite losers at their job, and people wonder why the world is never at a peaceful state, because some much crap happens everyday at any given hour. As far as anyone knows, someone might plan a mass murder, plunging the world into chaos, and despair will be born.

Some hours passed by, and they made it to their rightful school just in time. She hopes that some of the old faces will recognize her, and some of the newbies may know of her, as she is well known in the school. She’s 9th of the 10 best students in the school. “It seems that we must go to the gym, that’s were the ceremony is held at, or we can j-” Before yujin could finish yugata was already somewhere else.

From next to Hikaru, Ota saw another familiar face from the previous year; one, Yugita Shinto or Yugi-chii as some would call her. She was a relative beauty. Very meticulous and calculated in some aspects of her life. She wasn't to far bellow Ota in terms of educational caliber; however, she was a marvel at summoning wars. She would employ strategy's Ota couldn't quite understand at first which made her interesting. There were only two summoning fights Ota participated in last year and both were at her request.

Something about the girl was intimidating.... she had an air about her that didn't sit well. In many ways Ota was more scared of Yugita then she is of Tabitha. Tabitha, Ota understood... in fact she could almost predict her from time to time; but, Yugita for all her glitz and glam was on a wholly different emotional radar then Ota.

Seeing her come through the gates once more only reminded Ota how estranged she was from some of the other A students in the school. The Prince, Yugita, Tabitha, Tensei..... they were all a veritable smorgasbord of oddity that Ota's pallet had never experienced. For a moment she even debated not greeting the girl as she did all those she saw; but, never one to deny her nature did so none the less.

"Good Morning Yugita, hope you had a wonderful summer break. I heard rumor that you were heading out of the city. How was that?" she said from the comfort of her seated position closing her food box to finish later or in all reality likely eat with another one from her bag.

Yugata Shinto

Yugata didn't know what to do, since she ditched her friend. She really didn't have anything interesting to say at the very least, it was like yugata was a ninja, and surprisingly vanished from her very own eyes. As she was walking, a young girl she wasn't too familiar with heard her sentence loud and clear. "My vaca was ok I should say." Yugata began to laugh a little "Aye that rhymed, I should become an artist, and rule everyone with my sweet lyrics." Yugata was quite the confident one, it was like she can achieve anything at anytime.

Suddenly before the young girls eyes, yugata's demeanor had change. She will see her wearing glasses, with an index finger placed in the middle "As the ceremony is at its near, and all the new students, and old students will begin their career as students. Others goal is going straight to college, and be one hell of a student, and make a living at whatever they're doing. Some may become drop outs, and feel despair. Some may end up getting expelled because of their foolish acts. Who knows what paths these students will take, it is their decision if they  want to live a hopefull successful life, and a lousy despairful life." She says in a narrative like tone.

"Now then how will these two young girls conversation will turn out to be."

Kazuichi pinched Midori's cheeks as she kept hopping every few steps waking him up. "Cut it out you noob." While it sounded childish he knew her well enough to know out of any and all insults this one was the best against her. He looked forward with groggy eyes to see three figures also walking to the gym he then increased his grip on her cheeks. "Let's pick up the pace noob or else we'll miss the opening ceremony."

Well she was certainly as confident as ever. Not sure why she thought a simple off handed rhyme was worth self praise; but, to each their own Ota supposed. She went on to give a speech like synopsis of how she viewed the various path a student could take at Fuzimaki none of which included making friends, forming bonds, or making lasting memories to carry one on into adult hood. This girl was likely another poor soul corrupted by the system and indoctrinated with an overwhelming need for personal achievement and peer attention. With her intellect she likely knew Ota was among the top 10 in school, as well as, actually sitting comfortably at three.

"Well that's really for each to decide. Perhaps it could be a bit of that, a bit of this. Putting Academy life into three simple categories like success, dropouts, and expulsion, doesn't quite leave room for the other inherent experiences that are achievable in the little culture pot we call Fuzimaki. In fact I dare say, limiting one self to a simple matter of three outcomes with no variability is... well a inconclusive study, per say. Perhaps measuring ones success solely by academia, ignores the tastiest of possibilities. But... ." she smiles

"What do I know, I live my life how I choose too, as we both likely know." she smirks a bit. Ota hated how some of the A students tried to preach at her the way Yugata was. Like she didn't know how important school was. But, at the same time she pitied them because their scope of reality was so abysmally small that they were far less than you average F student that found joy in life... and not life in a book.

Midori could not believe what she heard. Noob? Her? Did he really just say that? He was dead, he was so totally dead, so incredibly unbelievably certainly and not removably dead... The girls cheeks went red, but not from blushing. She immediatly stopped. "You little lazyass, did you just call me a noob?" She was not really hurt. Okay, maybe a little. Okay, actually a lot, because it came from him. But of course she would not show it. She continued her walk. "Idiot.", that was all she muttered.

Kazuichi should've known she'd really get mad yet he still said what he said. Sighing he tried apologizing patting her cheeks as if to unreden them. "Hey sorry you know how grumpy I get when I'm tired. I didn't mean to offend your MLGness." He said sincerely then she called him an idiot something he could've said something about but decided since he was trying to make nice with her he shouldn't. "Really I'm sorry if anyone's a noob it's me." He said hoping that'd make her forgive him.

Yugata Shinto

Yugata had examined the young girl a little more during her speech, she nodded in an agreement. Their are other students that's in the top 10 such as her other one. She can find ways to become victorious, but it won't be easy, as yugata chilled at 9th until an opportunity comes along. As she will wait for a student to slip off the mountain of success, and she'll continue to climb her way up the mountain of greatness.  "You do indeed make valid points." She says, as she switches back to her normal side.

"Well then, have you by any chance seen my brother" Yugata ask in a curious manner. Nobody knows that the she that everyone refers to is actually a he, but it's all over know unless he can find ways for his business not to be fully exposed because of yugata's careless ways.

"Nevermind, they might be in the gym like some others are" Yugata waved at the young girl, as she walked away. "As I recall she must be higher than me, and tensai." She began to sigh a little. "But oh well, their will be an opportunity that I shall become victorious." She began to snicker, as she disappeared from the corner.

Kazuichi should've known she'd really get mad yet he still said what he said. Sighing he tried apologizing patting her cheeks as if to unreden them. He said sincerely then she called him an idiot something he could've said something about but decided since he was trying to make nice with her he shouldn't. "Really I'm sorry if anyone's a noob it's me." He said hoping that'd make her forgive him.

Midori felt that he was sorry. She felt him pet her cheeks very gently. They went even redder, she felt it. But this time, it wasnt anger. It was a slight and, oh god, cute, blush. How could that happen? Blushing was for girlies. And she had been god damn serious when she had sworn to never become a pretty, cute, picture perfect A class idiot girly girls. She was her lazy, sweatshirt wearing, pink marks in her face having self. And herself wouldnt blush. But then, why did she feel her cheeks getting hot, as the blood rushed in? That was more than weird. "Yeah..." Her voice sounded far away. Her head was buzzing. What the heck was wrong with her? She had been in this situation so many times.

Ota glanced over to see two more familiar faces among the crowd. They were slightly behind Tabitha, Kiyoko, and the little peculiar blond haired boy. It was one  Kazuichi Senji and Midori Fiduka. Kazuichi being number two in the school as far as grade total and Midori once being something of a marvel when Ota first got here, now sat in class F. Ota never quite understood what had happened to cause that. However, she just hopped it wasn't something like a death in the family or the like. Either way it was nice to see the pair apparently arguing as friends at least. Kazuichi on the other hand was a literal zombie for as long as Ota knew him. He seemed like he worked to hard for his title making Ota feel even more guilty that she trailed just behind him without trying. Oddly enough just like her he would be reprimanded for sleeping in class as well. Ota's eyes drew back to the company near her.

Hikaru seemed a bit tense and that only confirmed her earlier suspicions just because of Yugata's history with others. Ota half smiled as he said yep, confusing it to be an agreement with her comment. After a pause Yugata spoke again to go after her brother? That was rather confusing as far as Ota knew Tensei was her only sibling. A girl far as everyone knew, though, Ota had her suspicions... not that she cared.

"Good luck Yugata." she calls out in response to her search only barely hearing the whole deal about her position. If she takes it... she takes it.

Ota shrugs turning to look at Hikaru, "Well you can always skip it. I have been throwing that idea around personally. I really hate the speeches they give around here with a passion. And, unlike most I don't think even The Prince could make the situation better."

looks back too Kazuichi and Midori, "Hey Hikaru, do you know how long those two have been a thing. Don't think I have seen Midori - Sempai look so damn happy... or is she angry... eh, not polite to snoop anyways."

Tensai Shinto & Yugata Shinto

---------------------------------------------------------------

"Looks like I've calculated the time wrong."

Tensai began wondering around hopeless, as he left from his previous spot. He now does not know what to do, as he held his tablet towards his chest.

He began to hear some voices from the corner, and suddenly he was bumped into a familiar face. And ding it was his sister. "Well, you came here at a short noticed, sis." He says. As the two got up yugata hugged him as tight as ever, nearly passing him out until he kneed her. "Ouch! you didn't have'ta do that to me, you idiot" She yells. "Well don't hug me that tight, plus you should know that I don't like to be physically touched." Tensai remarked.

The two began to brush themselves off, as he peeked towards the corner that she came from. "You just got done chatting with ota?" He asked her. Both yugata and tensai had looked almost identical, the only difference is that tensai looked younger, and yugata looked older, and tensai's hair was longer. "Chill out, you're acting like you had sex with a guy, and dumped you right afterwards. And yeah I just got done chatting with her. It wasn't all that interesting really." She answered.

"Well have you seen cho?" Yugata asked.  "Well it isn't hard to spot a freakishly long haired boy, it's like he's a living life form of despair, he looks dull, and boring I should say" He answered.

As their conversation ended with the two parting their ways, tensai just sat outside the gym where he see's ota, and some other people, such as kazuichi, and hikaru from down the hallway, as he was fiddling with his tablet. Yugata went to go look for cho.

All who's in the vicinity.

Kazuichi leaned forward closer on her shoulder trying to see her face. "Hey you aren't sick right your cheeks are super red? Don't go dying on me I need you ya know." He said whole heatily after all without Midori who would carry him! He wondered for a moment if he'd have to do a speech for a bunch of the students like he had to in middle school. But then he remembered Cho or as some called him The Prince, no doubt he was number one and would be giving a speech. Kazuichi was relived to have someone so smart around so all the stuff where someone needed a smart person would be handled by him. Kazuichi could then relax in his number two spot or atleast he figured he was number two. It only made sense he wasn't trying to boast but Cho was probably the only one in the school whose total score could match his.

She looked away purposely. That was the last she could need. Him making stupid jokes. "Shut up or ill drop you." That was a good one. She patted her shoulder mentally. What was happening to her cheeks. Why did she feel the urge to smile like a debile idiot? That wasnt her. That was stupid if anything. She was nobody to smile in a situation like this one.

They passed some people. Midori could clearly hear them. They had been a thing? A THING? She would contain her anger about what that meant. And then the rest. Her? Happy? Carrying Kazu and being HAPPY? Never. What idiots must those people be to think something like that.

[AKEMI ANDERSON]

[class A, fifteen]

QG1thP06EETEsF_AE-R2vXvOCi1q5W5DfV3zzqw0KvqIJkG-71zn4YmUuthjQxAitvfJZkJLm0N6A517ah8AYLezc3KWTn6RaipKIBjMV96d9bOti1_xx6SibpWZWbnqifeCry0G

Akemi was just lazing around as usual, per the norm, her legs hanging limply from the side and her hands moving surprisingly quickly as she dodged and counter attacked some random new guy in her favourite MMORPG. Her high ranking elf was way higher then anyone in this area, it would be an easy win. Her swift eyes scavenged the area for heal up potions and some other random goodies as suddenly she was caught of guard by a Warrior type character running at her.

Surprised, the elf quickly got her dagger out and she attacked. The stranger was high ranking, she would actually have to try a bit here.

Akemi quickly pressed a wave of buttons, her hands moving at seemingly light speed, the elf was suddenly moving at a hyper pace.

'Cheater.'

Said the private text from the Human Warrior.

'Prove it."

Was her only reply, as she continued placing cut upon cut on her enemy.

'That was easy. You people need to step up your GAME.'

'You moved at hyper speed.'

'Prove it.'

'That attack is impossible to pull off without a cheat!'

'Says the person multi-casting. Using healer magic while casting iron skin was banned two years ago, same with orc fury.'

'F*ck you.'

'Visentine2000 just died. Visentine2000 just left lobby.'

She left the game not too soon after. "Weakling." She said with an air of indifference. Suddenly she heard a loud BLEEP sound. When she looked to see what was it, she got a new e-mail.

An e-mail from the school.

"Stop spamming my inbox..."

She clicked. Apparently she needed to make it to the opening ceremony. Akemi sighed, and slowly rose from her seat. The blanket slipping away, the pudding cup and spoon clattering to the floor, the girl looked to be very unhappy with standing up. She closed the laptop, took her phone and went off, moving at snail's pace.

While conversing with Hikaru casually she continued to observe those who came into the school. So far she had managed to spot the majority of the A class she knew of and a couple F Class here and there; plus all the in between. Ota took pride in at least knowing of as many people as she could and wanted to be sure to at least see the new faces so she could assign names to them latter. Where as most A students are indifferent even amoung their own class Ota took pride in the fact she enjoyed human connections.

She saw a short girl coming out of the A class classroom and took pause trying to recognize her. When it finally clicked a half smile crossed her face. It was Akemi Anderson. She wasn't a little girl at all, in fact she was an adorable girl in her grade and only a mere one year younger. Ota managed to talk to her a couple times last year; but, not enough to get to know her. Either her or Yugata would likely be considered the best strategist A had to offer; and, in many ways she rather deal with Akemi than Yugata... if she summoned battled at all that is.

She was a bit far away; but she wasn't going to pass up the opportunity to greet someone who actually wasn't as chaotic or egotistical with in her own class. "Hey Akemi," she calls out, "Have a pleasant break? break any new records in your game?" atop of knowing names Ota also liked to at least know something about everyone case they ever wanted to talk. And though she wasn't a gamer she would feel a fool trying to talk history with her... considering many know of her massive scores she puts out with ease.

Black dress, purple hair, pale skin. A girl stood at the schools entrance, her shoulders hanging in a depressed, careless manner. The eyes were empty and she appeared like she felt displaced. The girl looked first at the left, then at the right and sighed. "Where is she?" Katerina Nikolevna spoke to herself. And "she" was nobody else than her sister, Leslie. And Leslie was late. Again. That disappointed Katerina. Not because she expected punctuality. Because there were so many obstacles between them in school, Katerina would not be able to be around the only person in her life too much after the morning. That disturbed Katerina. She was a little selfish in that aspect, sure, but she had decided it was ok, as that was the only social contact acceptable in her life. Her sensitive reaction to its absence was somewhat understandable. "Where is she..." The emotionless eyes sparked up with worry and sadness for a moment. The repetition and the unsecurity were nothing that she was too used to and it was nothing she liked. Liked? Pfah, liking and disliking. She had to get rid of that thought. Liking was something one felt, hence nothing for her. No, she did neither like, nor dislike. Yet, the feeling of her sisters absence replaced her normal inner emptiness with a different, worse inner emptiness. One that disturbed her. Disturbing? Another feeling. What was wrong? Then Katerina nodded, which must have surely looked awkward to anyone who did not hear her thoughts. Of course. The feeling was there, because it was her sister she was thinking about. The thought of her sister always made emotions come and flow through her. If that was a good thing? Who knew...

Katerina had stopped looking around. The questioning look in her face had been replaced by a concentrated stare, estimatingly focussing the ground in front of her. Was the fact that her sister brought emotion good? She had asked herself that question so often. She had never found an answer. The exception to the rule. The one. Was that her weakness? It sure enough was, if anything would happen to her, that would be unforgivable. Should she try to get rid of that weakness? No. Weaknesses were the key to perfection. Without a flaw, one could not be flawless. That was, what Katerina was. Flawless. All the others, with their emotions, friends, games. Pfah. Nothing more than dogs. Weak, Easy to distract, stupid. Searching love, fun and such things, like a bunch of 24-carat idiots. "Gde ona..." From all the thoughts and sorrows, from all that looking down, she did not even realize how she started speaking her mother language.

Leslie awoke to being sprawled out over her bed like a haphazard mass of limbs. She yawned scratching her belly beneath her white tank-top bemoaning the suns arrival in the most eclectic of words. "F@&* you sun, just go back down for once.... I don't wanna wake up." she rolled over slapping a hand atop her side table clock dragging it to her face to lazily see the time. She shrugged putting the clock back on the table and laze'd about once more. It was then her eyes snapped too and she arched her back kick flipping to a stand atop her bed and spring boarding toward her closet.

"Crap, crap, crap..... CRAP! Where is that bloody uniform.... ." she looked around and was both dismayed and oddly happy she had used it as a coaster for a drink atop her art stool. The drink must have spilt when she came home late last night after Uki's party. "Ohh no what ever will I do without a uniform." she smirked to herself and picked up the glass tossing the uniform in the hamper with one fluid motion.

"Guess I can wear whatever I want.... ha, not that it matters. Friggin bureaucratic pompous school with their classiest systems and battle bull." she sighed pulling out a blueish tank top with paw print design. A pair of baggy black pants with suspenders. Her converse high-tops, a different color for each foot. A few pins for added flare and a curved brim cap with the number 63 on it.

From there she would head out the door and grab a bagel with some cream and blackberries calling out to her Mom just as she was leaving. "I'm outtie Mom, see ya later." she would walk down the stoop of her apartment complex and give a subtle head nod greeting to those she knew. She even went as far as to help old man Miyomoto carry in one of his boxes for his little fried chicken wrap shop. They had a name here in Japan; but hell if Leslie knew what it was off the top.

She hopped on one of the packed trains that would take her with in walking distance of the school. She really hated public transport in Japan. "Friggin Sardines, man." People stared, they always stared. A half Russian half black girl in the middle of Japan... yeah that's bloody f*$%ing normal. Squinty eye'd jerks... always judging me. Leslie frowned at her own thoughts not liking the tone or topic at all. That was messed up Leslie.... no need to be a racist. She sighs and waits for the train to stop.

And, it finally does allowing her to make her way to the Academy. The walk was normal; but, soon she saw all the other uniforms and students making there approach. Leslie even made a game of guessing there classes. Your a A.... ha your likely a C. Yep that's an F... looks like he is practically soulless.

She was soon near the gate and spotted her sister. She offered her a wave from a distance and a genuine smile. She also spotted one "Iron Man," her sis mentioned to her once or twice last year. "Not dealing with that today." she said before popping a lime green bubble gum bubble and passing it back through her lavender painted lips. She grinned cheekily and signaled to her sister to meet her inside. She moved closer to the wall and ran at it full tilt scaling the wall like some kind of kung fu master or parkour junkie. The nearby students gasped and Leslie just sat atop the wall saluting and rolling backwards flipping head over butt and landing on her feet.

She shoved her hands in her pocket and walked toward where a lot of the other students were heading. From the size of the building it had to be the gym. Leslie defiantly was a noticeable sight to any one nearby. A half black foreigner that wore bright colors and just basically ninja'd her way past Iron Man. She was as subtle as a white rabbit among a flock of crows.

Katerina saw her sister from far away. That wasnt that hard after all. She however acted as if not, so that Leslie had the pleasure to think Katerina did not notice her, because she was so in sorrow. People liked if others cared, right? Katerina was pretty sure they did. That was something to make people happy. She did want to make her sister happy. That meant, it was right to lie. Logically.

Truth had never really mattered to Katerina, she had learned early, that people lied here and there and here again. She had also learned to detect it with most people. Not that she spoke with them to use that skill. Katerina knew, everyone lied a lot of times everyday. Be it a simple 'Good day' or one of the biggest lies in history, that somehow nobody considered a lie. That big, fat, infantile idiot, wearing red and white. They called him Santa. Katerina called it sad. Every year, so many so called adults pushed thereselves into that outfit, just to keep the lie living. And to give their children presents, when they were good. Good... what a idiotic word, a word only a fool could invent. Probably he wore some red and white clothes over his big belly.

Katerina shook her head. Her thoughts had drifted away. That happened, because she had a small head and many thoughts. Some just had to leave sometimes. Logically. She blinked just in time, to see her sister ninja over a wall. What was that? Why was that? Whatever. She started to head towards the gym. Then she saw it. Someone stared. It was not long, but for a moment, her cold, empty eyes found the glance of a boy. She held it expressionlessly, until he turned around. That guy would definetly be put on the list.

Kazuichi held on tighter to make sure she didn't try dropping him. He could tell her face was trying to form a smile so he grabbed the corners of her mouth and pulled up making her smile. "If ya wanna smile you should unless your hiding something?" He asked curious why she was trying to hid her face. He wandered if it had something to do with what the girl had said about them being a thing or something. He didn't really get it but figured it was something he must of not understood.

Midori smiled. Forcedly. She did not want to at all. My god she did not want to blush either. However, him hugging onto her even tighter did not help that matter. It more disturbed, because she felt, the tighter he grabbed, the more she blushed. And that was not good. It was something she had to change. But this time, she had to bear it out. And she would. Why was she all flustered, just because Kazu was...

She pushed away the thoughts when they reached the gym.

Ota looks to Hikaru and flushes lightly. "Well I mean she is a higher year then me... I thought I was suppose to call people like that senpai." Ota would be the first to admit she got confused by honorifics. They weren't really her forte having spend many years abroad at different academies before Fuzumaki. She let her mild flush settle before speaking to Hikaru again.

"Well yeah far as skipping I can agree anyways. Iron Man is a chore... his stupid physical punishments are the worse. And I hate sitting in class all sweaty." she shrugs, "And maybe your right... guess giving piggy back rides is kinda a strong showing of friendship or that you like someone. Bit stronger then I was giving it credit having given quite a few myself. You know... being the tower that I am and all," rubbed her left shoulder a sign of mild insecurity.

As Hikaru looked away Ota did as well seeing Katerina. She was as of the moment the undisputed English Class master. She... she was creepy lets face it. Another estranged A Class student; but, Ota would never insult the poor girl. She may very well have a reason for her constant... eeriness. "That would be Katerina... she is actually quite brilliant. Third best student far as cumulative score far as I know. She is usually quite like that.
