History: Hector was born and raised in a city, right on the river. The oldest of three, he was expected to go into the family business, and to that end was taught from an early age that no wrong was truly wrong as long as it got what was desired in the end. While the lesson stuck, the interest in following in his father's footsteps as a prominent con man and part of a well oiled sting operation crew did not. Hector didn't have the temperament or the patience for the family business, and never took up his father's offer to join up.

History- Her parents died when she about 13 from a fire started by one of the wizards and she wandered the streets pick pocketing and begging. Once she turned 16 she turned to earning money another way. She would pass from town to town, working at a tavern, being some source of entertainment either singing, handing out drinks, or things that lay behind a closed door. When she was 17 a woman was kind enough to take her in and give her a place to stay. The woman ran a brothel in the city and she was thrown in the heart of it. The woman made sure Gypsy could defend herself, the brothel business was not always the safest when it came to certain men. She was well versed in the art of sword fighting as well as martial arts. She was as deadly as she was beautiful. The woman had hoped Gypsy would take over the business since she had a knack of finding secrets about powerful men in the city. All kinds of secrets pass through a brothel and at the rumor a rebellion was forming she jumped at the opportunity, wanting a chance at a better life. So many stories of how this wizard or that one destroyed a life, caused chaos, and otherwise unhappiness all around throughout the years of working at the brothel gave her reason to join the rebellion. She may have a knack for the brothel business but it wasn't her dream. She only wanted freedom, she wasn't one to stay in one place for long periods of time anyways.

Verrin was born into the Ramas family as the youngest child and heir to the very wealthy and influential family that was, and still is, a member of the upper echelon of nobility. Like many great families of nobility, Verrin can tie his bloodline to that of the 'good king' from his second cousins aunts brothers wife, etc, etc, a very weak tie that connects him to the throne in no way, but it is merely something that other noble families believes makes them 'special'. Verrin was never a... interesting boy. While he excelled in his studies having both a large mind and a sharp wit, Verrin was not much for socializing nor playing the 'game' that other nobles were so fond of playing. He never had an interest in who was sleeping with who, which outfit was in fashion as none of it interested him. Because of this, he was very much a loner preferring to sit in the library and read then engage others his age which did not make him very popular. In fact, the opposite was true. Verrin was a ghost, someone others often forgot was there at all as unlike his elder sister Leira; he was incredibly 'dull' as far as the other noble families were concerned.


Leria, on the other hand, was perfection made real. She was beautiful, smart, funny, and kind. Everything noble parents hoped their daughters could turn out to be and every noble man wanted to court. But she attracted the eyes of a suitor... one that would not, could not, be denied. One of the First Wizards younger brothers, the leader of some minor nation not worthy of note, took a fancy of Leria and tried to woo her. Leria was very headstrong and refused him on numerous occasions driving the young wizard anger with every spurn until his anger finally made itself known when Leria had started to take notice of another young man at court. The young wizard killed the young man on the spot and stole Leria from the court in order to take her to his kingdom where he could do as he pleased. His elder brother, the First Wizard, had no intention of stopping his younger brother as why should he? Leria, despite her nobility, was still an insect. Verrin's father, outraged, went to the First Wizard and demanded that he force his younger brother to return Leria, so lost in his rage, he threatened the first wizard... who did not take it lightly. His father was publicly executed, and the sixteen year old Verrin found himself the head of his family with his sister, one of the few people he truly loved, being raped by a monster and there was nothing he could do about it. So he did nothing. To his great shame and regret, he turned a blind eye to his sisters plight and looked to rebuild the family name and honor.


Verrin quickly adapted to the new situation, becoming a major force in court as well as dealing in.... underhanded activities. Through various alias he began to take over various inns, brothels, shops, and even supplied various gangs and rebel groups in order to use them as common thugs in his bid for wealth and power to restore his family name and, someday, free his sister using methods that would not cost them both their heads, but in truth, Verrin was afraid of facing the Wizards head on and his cowardice cost his sister her life. She died in childbirth, the younger wizards spawn dying as well. The brief letter telling Verrin what had happened to his sister still sits in his desk, and from what information he was able to gather, his sister had always believed that he, smart... misunderstood Verrin, would come save her. He had failed her because he was a coward and did not wish to die like his father. His mother never forgave him. To this day, she stares out the window from her bed and she has not spoken in two years. Verrin knows that in her eyes, her son died with her family.


Since then, Verrin has multiplied his influence, wealth, and power using it to fund various rebel and revolutionary groups in multiple nations making sure to cover his tracks to ensure his head does not end up on a spike. He has no true belief that they will succeed, but it is all he really can do... it is his way of trying to save his sister. He has yet to ever take direct action, but he knows that sooner or later the truth will come out, and he will have to take a stand, but until then, he is satisfied with aiding from the shadows.
