Jess sits in his room staring at the wall thinking of what he should do. So he decides to go to the park and take pictures with his new camera. He stood up brushing off his clothes and grabbed his camera and headed outside walking down the road as rain pours from out of the sky and creating puddles. He walks into the park turning on his camera looking around for things to take pictures of so he scanned the place and noticed a flower sticking up from out of the ground.


"that will look really nice in my scrapbook" he mutters pulling out his camera and clicking away then turned to look at other things to take pictures of.

 

[IXI]

Erik had been at the park all day. He was sitting on top of the red monkey bars, reading Gone With The Wind by Margaret Mitchell and listening to some music with his headphones.


His parents had been arguing all morning and he just wanted some air. He hated when they argued, they would scream so loud that several of their neighbors were complaining. They also threw things and broke them. He hated how stressed out they made him.


Erik suddenly noticed a boy with a camera come to the park and take some pictures. Being quite the loner type, he decided to just continue reading his book.

Jess continued to take pictures then turned around slightly noticing a boy siting reading a book. A smile crossed his lips as he made his way over to him he plopped down next to him.


"Hey, do you mind if i take a picture of you for my scrapbook/school project?" he asked raising an eyebrow scanning the boys face realizing he was actually really cute. "its fine if you dont want to, i wish just wondering" he adds looking down at his camera adjusting the lens then gazed back up at the boy.

 

[IXI]

Erik didn't even glance at the boy, he was pretty nervous. "Uhmm... Sure, if you'd like," He said as he continued reading his book. He rarely ever said no, he was always afraid that he would make someone upset.

Jess smiled widely looking down at his camera "hey can you look up for a second, sorry to bother you" he mutters standing up glancing down at the boy reading his book which made him blush, he was so freaking adorable holding the camera up to his face then took one which came out really nice.

 

[IXI]

"No worries, you're not," Erik said as he shut his book. As soon as he looked up, his heart seemed to drop. He couldn't help but gaze into they boy's chocolate-like eyes. Realizing how long he'd been staring his face turned a bright red tone.

"Haha thank you" he smiled widely gazing back at the boy and noticed his blush which caused him to blush as well. "Okay well smile " he laughed taking a picture of him. "Do you want it or...?" He said gritting his teeth waiting for him to answer his question swaying to the side a little scanning Erik's face with a red face.

 

[IXI]

"U-uhh, no thanks. You could have it.." He nervously mumbled. He couldn't help but half smile and his blue eyes lit up when he heard the boy laugh.

"Haha thank you" he smiled scanning the other boys face with his chocolate brown eyes."I never caught your name, I'm Jess" he spoke holding out his hand for him to shake blushing darkly.

 

[IXI]

"E-Erik," he said, nervously smiling and shaking his hand. His cheeks turned a bright pink as soon as their hands touched. His hands felt soft and warm.

"Nice to meet you" he smiled feeling Erik's soft warm hand in his noticing his blush "do you mind if I sit down?" He asks gritting his teeth admiring Erik's face giving a warming smile making his stomach flood with butterflies.

 

[IXI]

"Nice to meet you too," Erik said with a shy grin, "No not at all." He was surprised at himself. He'd never talked to a stranger that much, he didn't talk to anyone.

"haha thanks" Jess adds siting down next to him fixing his camera lens then placing it in it's case then looked up at him smiling "so what are you doing over here by yourself" he asks raising an eyebrow wondering why a cute guy like him would be by himself causing him to blush just looking at him. Jess gives a warm smile "well you got to have a girlfriend or something a attractive guy like you" he mutters wondering if he was gay.

 

[IXI]

Erik decided not to tell Jess about his parents, he didn't want to be labeled 'The Freak' by anyone else. He was bullied enough. "Just needed some air, I guess," He half smiled. "I've never had a girlfriend, I don't re-" He stopped himself. He didn't want anyone to know that he actually guys, he would just get bullied more. "So, how long have you lived around here?" He asked in attempt to change the subject.

Asher was following along when he was talking realizing he cut off what he was about to say "you never had a girlfriend or a boyfriend of some sort?" he muttered raising an eyebrow giving an awkward smile "your really attractive, im surprised" he smiles as Erik switched the subject right away asking him a question "well I've been here for about 2 years" he laughed looking into Erik's blue eyes "what about you" he asks moving his gaze away slightly.

Erik couldn't help but blush when Jess called him attractive. "I've lived here my entire life," He explained "It's not as great as it seems."

Jess smiled noticing him blush which made him blush too he looked down and smiled "whats so bad living here?" he asks biting his lower lip nervously.

 

[IXI]

Erik had been bullied for years now. On top of that his parents were neglectful and treat him and themselves horrible. He hated this town and everything about it. He didn't want to burden Jess with anything. "It's just dull, I guess..." He said. "I-I should go, school's tomorrow..." He then began getting off and walking away. Jess seemed like a sweet guy, but he didn't want Jess to think he was a burden because of everything that goes on.

Jess nodded his head scanning his face noticing that he had a worried like look "oh okay then..." he said looking down at his feet sitting there alone "wait where do you go to school?" he yells towards him wrapping his arms around his chest standing up grabbing his camera realizing Erik was walking away he felt as if he did something wrong "well...bye i guess" he says quietly.

Erik woke up and got ready for his long day at school. He took a quick shower and got dressed. Afterwards he walked downstairs and saw his mom laying on the floor, clutching onto a whiskey bottle. He sighed and helped her onto the couch and covered her up with a blanket. He hated how his parents always got drunk and argued, but they were still his parents. He sighed and left the house, shutting the door behind him. He then walked to school.


When he arrived, he began walking down the hall. He could hear a few kids gossiping about him as he walked to his locker. He was only three lockers away when he was shoved against them by one of the Jocks. He didn't say anything as they yelled at him, he just looked down and held back tears. He tried to walk away but they just shoved him once more.

Jess walked into the school shoving kids out of the way with anger in his eyes "will you please back the f**K away!" he yells walking over to his locker exchanging his bag with things slamming his locker. Jess was one of the rudest kids in school he didn't want to be that way but he was and he knew that Erik was going here and he didn't want to give off a bad impression. He walks down the hall shoving and almost basically throwing them "move!" he said smirking noticing Erik. He put the best smile on and walked over to him "hey" he said scanning his face noticing he looked sad. "are you okay?" he asks raising an eyebrow "we can go talk somewhere if you need too" he said softly looking down at Erik with sad eyes.

Erik blinked his tears back and tried his best to put a smile on his face "I'm fine, don't worry about it, I'll be fine," He explained.

Jess shook his head and noticed his fake smile "come one, lets go" he said grabbing his arm and pulling him down the hallway. eyes were on them especially Jess they had fear written all over their faces he just looked down as he took Erik outside and stopped behind the school. "whats wrong?" he spoke taking a deep breath.
