LOVE! can't wait to meet the little rascal!I'm feeling like locking down the son of Odin.
This story will aim for a more modern approach, and somethings from the modern mortal world will and can make an appearance on the island (headcanon is that the Amazons would plunder and steal from passerbys in the sea and whatnot). the modern world will not be accessible as of now, potentially for the thing, but that's what i had in mind.Hey! A couple of questions for now. Sorry if they're written somewhere and I missed them.
What time period is the story taking place? Modern times? Medieval period?
Are our characters locked to being children of actual Gods/Goddesses? Or are prominent mythological figures also possible? Example: a daughter of Arachne
i would be willing to hear character ideas from Aztec or Celtic deities, yeah! that sounds like it could add some new unique aspects into the story. if you want to shoot an idea at me so i can help you figure out how they could be on the island in the first place, don't hesitate!Just out of curiosity, are other mythologies such as Aztec or Celtic deities allowed to be picked as parents? Or even antagonistic beings like Typhon, Fenrir, or Ravana?

hmmmmmmm.... that's a great question. as of now, i had it that the children will either be descended from Gods/Goddesses or from Amazons. I will say this: if you want to create a character that is the child of Arachne then by all means don't hesitate, but I think that character would serve best as a side character.
no problem!I see, thanks for the clarification. I wasn't really set on an offspring of Arachne, it was just a curiosity.
Regarding the Norse Family Tree image that the lore redirects us to, it seems to me Fenrir is considered a God. Am I correct? If so, I feel like locking down a child of Fenrir.
DIABOLICALL TWINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNHyellooooo~~️
I thiiiiiiink I'm going with daughter of Artemis owo
i actually didn’t include it, so you’re all good lmao!! i had in mind a more mature percy jackson idea for this, so i would say starting from like 14/15 to late 20s, early 30s would be the range?Yooo, what’s the age range for characters? Sorry if it’s written down somewhere already, I couldn’t find it but I’m also blind so![]()
i mean, based upon what is told of these pantheons and how the Gods within them behave you can give yourself an "idea" of how they'd be, but don't be afraid to add some details, headcannons, what have you. the only specific visions i've had were with the gods i'm incorporating into my charactersThe post in the other thread brought up a good question. How much control do we have over our parents when writing our characters? You said to breathe life into them, but I did not know if you had any specific vision of them that might impact our portrayals of them as they relate to our characters.
lmao i know exactly what you mean! i had that same thing with Fenn's personality. the descriptions just kinda came together by themself lolVespera will be up soon! She’s basically writing herself.![]()
did not see this b4 please dont hate me!!snakeg0dd got room for one more? As per rule number 2 I'm not an Andy.
I do have a question,do you think that it would be appropriate to play as one of the quite minor gods (not exactly demigods) in the major roles of this RP?
For example,if I were to play as some kind of (re)incarnation of Gersemi (daughter of Freyja) or Kratos (the mythological one,half-Titan son of Pallas and Styx from the myth of Prometheus) that is only now arriving at the island, would you think that acceptable? Maybe they perished against the entity in battle and somehow escaped Helheim/Hades.
Or would you prefer to keep the main characters half god/half mortal? I understand if that's the case.
Not sure I have a lot more to say on the specific topic before I get to creating my character. I just figured that (with permission) it'd be interesting to explore one of the mythological deities who has little modern attestation or influence but has an interesting drive and history, especially if they start from a place where they think they're mortal. At the same time,I think (re)incarnation is an interesting way to have a deity's identity while having them work their way back to power and influence. One example I can think of (while probably not going to be incorporated into this story) would be the Hindu deity Krishna who is attested as having incarnated as distinct avatars throughout history who appeared to be animal or human at first in order to perform great deeds.did not see this b4 please dont hate me!!
yeah there's a lot of room for those interested so welcome aboard! as for the specifics of creating a character... this is a really great question. i think reincarnation would be a cool spin on things. maybe the character has amnesia or something? trying to understand their past life through glimpses and small blips they get from time to time? as for the character themself..... totally up to you, the key thing is: they have to be the child of a God in some way. the tricky thing is Titans are pretty much = Giants, but they also were considered Gods at some point. so i'm in-between with Titans. i'm interested to hear more though if you're open to it
