Shog

The Infinite Being
Always Accepting

The world is filled with monsters and magic. Most mortals are totally oblivious to the magic around them. All monsters and magic can be categorized under one of the 10 elements; water, air, lightning, earth, fire, plant, metal, gravity, light, and dark. The balance between the magical and mortal worlds is easily upset, and this is where you come in. You are an elementalist. You are gifted with control over one of the elements. To learn control and how to help keep the balance between the two worlds you must attend the Element Academy. Here you will learn all there is to know about being an elementalist and have several opportunities to participate in clubs and sports just like any other school. However, a war is coming and you are caught in the middle. You must decide who to side with and how you will impact the outcome.

Ivan was laying on his back in the middle of the lake, eyes closed and hands laced behind his head. He was wearing a black shirt and his signature light grey jacket. They were now just over halfway through the school year and he had finished his last final. It was a grade wide final that each grade had to take at the end of each semester to make sure we still knew how the mythical world worked. Each grade, of course, had different tests. He was, for the fifth time since he turned the test in, reviewed the test and his answers in his head. Over time it would fade a bit, but as it was right now he could visualize each question and see the answers he used. He was sure he aced the test without missing a question, but he was a bit concerned about how well they would understand what he was talking about. Especially since his handwriting isn't what is known as "good". Oh well, at least the weather was perfect outside.

Walking down the halls a young lady with emerald eyes and flowing aburn hair was completely turned around. Her sense of direction was little to none. The girl, named Gigi Bright, evendors after attending the school for more than three years was completly lost. However she was lucky that she has all the time in the world. Finals had ended for the young miss Gigi and lukily for her, no oral exams! She certainly has aced every class, Gigi was a certified genius afterall. Well that's what her parents tell her and the teachers. "Now where is that garden?" Gigi was in a bright yellow sun dress and wedges as she made her way to the lake. There she was excited to see her best friend in the whole school relaxing in the center. Excited to find him, she created a tiny path of light to him and nearly sprinted to him.

"IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnn!"

She tackled him into a hug and smiled at him brightly.

@Shog

Ivan's thoughts were interrupted by none other than Gigi. He should have figured there was no escaping people here, even in the middle of the lake. He wasn't mad though. In fact it was probably a good thing she found him here. If he had kept repeating the same questions over and over again in his head he would have gone crazy...er. Many people did in fact think he was crazy, though he couldn't quite pinpoint why. He stood up on the water, keeping it level around him so he didn't bob up and down like drift wood, and smiled at Gigi.

"Hi Gigi," he said. "I would ask how your exams went, but I already know the answer to that. Anyway, were you looking for me or were you lost again?" He gave her a sly smirk as he was willing to bet she was lost... again.

Gigi had a slight smile that turned into a grin. Hopping off of Ivan she stood on a small disk of light. Ivan was a grest friend, he always got her. She put her hands on her hips, puffed out her chest and laughed. "Lost? Ha! I just got turned around. I never get lost I just go on lots of adventures!" She exclaimed, but look at him bashfully "but I was supposed to go to the library. Do you think you could show me the way again. I just totally forgot where it is." She paused for a moment and then added, "all these halls look thr same." Pouting a little as she crossed her arms.

Alone Kuroha sat, there within the Student Cultural Society room. The day was without club activities since there were many things going on, though he waited there just in case someone were to show up. He knew he'd probably aced his test like he always did, though it did tend to be a pain, getting perfect grades to maintain the proper image of a student government president, as well as fulfilling that role as student government president. Practically all his time was devoted to school and his club, and any of the time he had left went to either sleep or maintaining his physical strength through sports like the gauntlet run. He came to the conclusion that nobody would show up, and so he took his leave of the club's gathering/meeting room to head on elsewhere; in specific, to see if he could talk to Ivan for a bit.

On his way to look for Ivan, Kuroha found himself taking a stop in the hallway when one of the club members had come to talk to him. It was one of the people from the news section, and one of the newer members from year two at that. A little discussion went on between him and the second-year girl, talking about a few topics pertaining to the club, then a few questions that only Kuroha could really produce answer for as they were aimed at the club president, the student government president, or both. Mostly trivial stuff that only somebody new to these things would really ask, but all questions Kuroha'd gladly answer for the girl. Proceeding from the conversation to looking for Ivan once more, he heard an obviously familiar yell coming from a certain friend of Ivan's that he'd never really gotten time to actually get to know.

Stepping out there next to the lake, Kuroha saw the two out there in the water. He just stood there, a smirk on his face as he watched Ivan and Gigi with their little interaction. If he had to he could swim out there, though for now he'd just stand and watch while waiting for Ivan to take notice. It wouldn't be all too surprising for some kinda dramatic hug to take place if he kept there after all, given it'd been a while since they'd seen. Kuroha began internally laughing at that idea, knowing that something'd be really wrong if something like that happened out of nowhere one day. He wouldn't be all too surprised about an underclassman confessing to him and attempting a romantic and/or dramatic hug though, given he'd had similar happen about the beginning of the year from somebody who seemed to admire the student council president type of guy. Sadly, he didn't know them and thus it was currently a simple friends kind of relationship, although they are in the Student Cultural Society now. Not the same person he'd previously spoken to though, since the one who'd fallen for him was rather scarce an individual.

@Sukiyaki @Shog

Adena started walking down the hallway, she kept her black hair up in her usual high ponytail, even though she didn't have to she wore her bright red heels and black lace dress. She was so exstatic that finals were over, no more stress at least for a little while. She knew she had done well in all of her classes, before heading outside she re applied her red lipstick and opened the door, she could hear people talking so being curious she walked over, she noticed Ivan and Gigi in the water. Adena didn't like to swim plus she really didn't know how so she walked over but didn't go too close. She turned and noticed Kuroha standing there watching the two. Adena walked over towards him and stood a few feet from him "hey" she said simply, she hadn't really talked to him all that much so now was probably a better time than ever.

@Kiyoko Tomoe

"Lots and lots of adventures indeed," Ivan said. He was about to answer Gigi when he saw Kuroha standing on the beach watching them. It was clear he had something on his mind. "Sure, I'll take you to the library. But first I think I need to talk to Kuroha." He gestured behind her and willed the water to propel him towards the shore, slowly at first so it didn't look like he was just ditching Gigi. When he reached shore he walked up to Kuroha and said "Hey, how've you been?" He also gave a courteous nod to Adena.

Looking over at Adena, Kuroha gave a small smile that was very rare to see during activities such as student government meetings and Student Cultural Society meetings, as well as, well, any time other than some sort of free period. Even then, smiles were usually rare on the guy, but today was one of those days even Kuroha couldn't help but smile once or twice for people. "Hey. Adena from student government, right? Do you need something?" Kuroha asked politely, though was cut off by the sight of Ivan speeding right for them. It wasn't all that breathtaking or surprising for Kuroha, though he did know it to be a sign that Ivan would be there by the time he could count from three, to two, to one, aand Ivan was there. Kuroha rolled his neck a little because it was getting a bit stiff, before focusing on Ivan now as that's why Kuroha was even there at the beach.

"Pretty busy, if you weren't already informed of this by simply knowing I'm in all the sports, and president of a club as well as student government..." Kuroha said with a sigh. "It's been like this five years now, of course it wasn't as bad the first year when I was just dorm leader; still was pretty busy though..." Kuroha put his hand at his white button-up shirt's top button, unbuttoning it slowly. "I think I need to cool off a bit... Such thick clothing's never been my style anyway, yet here I am dressed like this because it's uncomfortable but looks 'formal'." After finishing the unbuttoning of his white shirt, his nomadic clothing underneath was revealed minus the cloak that was more well-hidden than the shirt under his shirt under his jacket-like shirt Taking off the top two shirts, along with the nomadic shirt was his cloak revealed in its entirety. "Anyway, I came here to see if you'd be up for some practice. It's been a while, so I'd like to get back up in time for the next Siege game."

@Sukiyaki

Gigi smiles as he agreed to help her, god knows she needed it. She turned around to see Kuroha and Aden on the coast. She smiled and waved at the others as Ivan floated towards them. She followed behind Ivan, skipping across the water, light disks forming underneath her feet. She looked at them as she landed on the shore. Waving to them again she gave a cheerful, "Hi guys!"

Gigi smiled at Kuroha, she didn't know much about him. But if he was a friend of Ivan's he must be alright. She didn't want to interrupt their conversation so she looked at Adena. She notices how she was dressed and loved it, she knew that she could never pull off something like that, but she liked how she dressed. She really wanted to complement her style but first wanted to break the ice."How was finals Adena? I hope they wen't well for you!" She gave her a warm smile and was nearly shining with joy.

@Tsiwentiio @Kiyoko Tomoe @Shog

"Sure, I'm willing to practice," Ivan replied. He wasn't really phased by Kuroha's systematic removal of clothing. Truth be told, he wasn't even sure why he wore all of the formal clothing. At this point he was sure no one would really care how well he dress except for maybe a few first years who had somehow managed to not know about him. He spent most of the year not saying anything, with only half a year left for him Ivan decided he might want to know. "By the way, I know you dress like that to try and fill your role, but I don't think anyone really cares any more. The school loves you and the one thing that might change is some first years, but only the ones who are still trying to get a hang of things. Regardless, I did agree to take Gigi to the library first, so is there anywhere you want to meet up?

"I'll probably just stick around here and let you and your girlfriend be alone on the way to the library," Kuroha said with clear intent to embarrass Ivan, or at least get some sort of reaction out of him. "Unless of course you want me to go with you, in which case I'll skip the swimming break." Kuroha said in conclusion to his part of this conversation. He let the rest of them just say as they will after that, most-likely not to say another word until reactions to the 'girlfriend' comment had come and gone. Of course, he wasn't going to say much more anyway, so he might just keep silent until it's just him and Ivan so as to not 'waste air', as some might say. No Kuroha was thinking about that joke of wasting air, and how Kuroha didn't really use up much air at all, thanks to the enhanced breathing that came with being an aeromancer. Heck, right now, the amount of air a normal person breathed in one single deep breath was probably how much it took for him to breathe in a twenty-four hour period of no talking, or at least some often times would believe it took with how little he seemed to breathe.

Sukiyaki[/uZER]@Shog @Tsiwentiio

Ivan felt th water behind him surge a bit more at the "girlfriend" comment, but nothing really happened. What difference would, it make if he retaliated in any way? None, so he just ignored it. "Ok, just don't go wandering too far off. And don't feed Silver either." Silver was the name of the serpent in the lake and was given this name because of her silver tinted scales when submerged. "Ready Gigi?"

@Kiyoko Tomoe @The Suspicious Eye

"One... Two... Three!"

Anyone within a few miles of the meadow could probably see Po, using her own abilities to shoot herself up in the air. The small girl giggled, flipping herself through the air. Once gravity took over she placed her hands facing downwards, creating a soft landing. "No. More. Finalllllllls." She squealed, eagerly clapping her hands together. While she loved school and learning, she hated taking test. Mainly because it required her to sit still for long periods of time. Sitting still wasn't exactly her forte.

Po, sat in the field, letting out a sigh. Once again she was alone. It was weird really. Despite her loving personality, she preferred this. She preferred being alone. Po stood up from the ground, dusting of her skirt. She then made her way out of the meadows, entering the forest. She then jerked her hand downward, causing her to be lifted off of the ground. The position allowed to her see over the tree tops, but only for a few millisecond before she started hurdling towards the earth. She repeated this step over and over again until she was almost out of the woods. She was about to walk out of the forest and towards the lake when she noticed a small group up ahead. A wicked grined form on Po's face as she started giggling to herself. The girl then took a semi deep breath, letting out a gust of wind. It wasn't strong enough to knock people over, but is WAS strong enough to send a few articles of clothing flying. Po quickly ducked behind a tree, covering her mouth as she tried not to laugh out loud and get her cover blown.

@Shog @Kiyoko Tomoe @The Suspicious Eye @Tsiwentiio

"Huh, no reaction? Sheesh Ivan, you're boring." Kuroha said, before hearing a few rustling sounds and then seeing a gust of wind send his removed shirts flying. "Oh boy, another one of those people who like to pull pranks on me... Probably that first-year again..." Kuroha said, waving his hand as though gesturing his clothes come toward him, and surely enough they did as told with the aid of some winds a bit more powerful than that one blown at his clothing in the first place. Catching the clothes, a veil of air spun around him lightly and he seemingly just... vanished. Air as his ally, the guy speedily moved his position behind that of the girl, the effects of the tampered lightning around him through particles in the air mostly hiding any chance of noticing him get there. By the time he was there though, all his formal clothing had been pretty much left behind on the shoulder of Ivan, Kuroha now in just his nomadic clothing.

"Need something?" Kuroha said, a smirk quite well apparent on his face. Kuroha couldn't really deny his enjoyment of pranks like this, as it really was quite different than the normal stuffy atmosphere created by all this back-to-back business with the club, sports, student government, and all these painful study sessions and tests to get perfect grades. "Oh, you're not the first-year from last time... Let's see here, if memory on all the students serves correctly, you'd be one of the fourth years, correct...?" Kuroha asked, way off from the formal way he usually is as the student government president times four. Thinking about it, Kuroha realized how his teleport effect was probably more toward a sudden surprise approach than a mesmerizing and cool kind of approach to things, and it probably would've been a bit less draining to what he'd be able to do the next two hours or so if he were to have just left afterimages, as it's work is more to completely dodge light than it is just moving gas and dust particles in the air to form a light trail kind of effect through the light naturally reflected by the skin, clothing, and well pretty much everything.

Once Ivan dropped Gigi off at the Library, with instructions not to get lost (jokingly, of course), he began the walk to the Lake. On the way he pulled out a bit of water he kept with him and started messing with it. He has a problem with making sure his mind is occupied with something, and that task usually falls upon his hands. It isn't uncommon to see him walking down the halls like this. Another thing that isn't uncommon is the snide remarks he always receives. The dark cloud that hovers over all hydromancers is the stereotype that they are weak and useless unless you need someone to do your homework. In fact, since becoming cabin leader the amount of bullying towards hydromancers almost halved. He encouraged them to fight back, but be smart about it. If there was no way for them to fight back and Ivan was informed, he would take care of them. It was a darker side he didn't like showing very often, but even in his third year he scared many fifth year bullies away. The only real reason those remarks are still directed at them is because they know he won't fight them over it. One thing he often thought about is how the Water Overlord must feel, being the accumulated feelings of all water beings. Ivan was sure it was cold and unresponsive to everything else, a blubbering mess, or unnaturally violent. With an increasing number of violent attacks by water monsters on mortals even, he felt was it was last of the three.

He finally reached the top of a cliff overlooking the lake and jumped. He took this rout down earlier and was far from the only one that did so. When he hit the water he willed himself to sink to the depths. When it was about twice as dark as it was on the surface he headed towards land. When he remerged he noted Kuroha's cloths still in the tree where he left them. They were fairly nicely laid out along a branch, so he wasn't a total jerk about it. Unfortunatly, no Kuroha himself. Figures.

Jampo Haneul

Po took a few steps away from the tree, snickering. "Oh they had no clue what was coming. The look on their faces were just fantastic." She whispered to herself, clapping her hands together in satisfaction. However, a few second later she heard a voice right behind her. The sudden approached cause her to let out a high pitched yip and stumble forward some. Her first reaction was to grab the book staff attached to her back. She whipped it out in front of her as she turned to face the newcomer, creating a wall of wind that allowed her to protect herself.

"President?" She quickly noticed who was in front of her. She dropped the wall, placing her bo staff in the ground next to her. She then leaned her weight against the staff that was twice her size. Anyone else would have regretted their reactions towards the president. Not Po though. She tried holding in a laugh, only to snort before letting out a giggle. "Oh it was you!" She couldn't stop laughing, leaning back on her heels as she grabbed at her stomach. After a few moment's she wiped away invisible tears.

"Yupp! I'm a 4th year! At the top of my elemental class too for my year! I'm Jampo Haneul~ Call me Po!" She excited help put her hand for him to take. This was actually her first time talking to the president despite both being aeromancers. It was almost an honor. Except Po could care less.

Kira was walking around in her usual state after finals, Hair tied up in a messy bun and a dazed, confused expression on her face. It had been four years and finals still weren't her friend, nor was the stress that they provided. She had, had to zap herself in the face a few times during the exams to keep herself awake. Anyways the girl had a book tucked into the back pocket of her most comfy jeans and an over sized jumper over the top of her t-shirt. The girl rubbed her face as she scrunched up a piece of paper in her hands, she was more than 100% sure she had gotten at least three questions wrong on that test but honestly right now she didn't care because it was over!. Kira grinned at that and even did a little skip down the hallway.

"Freedom" she sung to herself softly and gave herself alittle shake as if to shake off the very stress of the whole thing. "woop!" she declared getting a few strange looks from other students but she just glanced right back at them and laughed quietly before practically running outside and into the fresh air, One more year. Just one more year she told herself. It wasn't that she didn't like the academy, in fact she loved it. She just didn't like the exam part of it. nope, nope, nope.

When the fresh air finally hit kira's face she reached up and pulled the tie out of her hair allowing the light brown lock to fall around her shoulders "excellent" and with that she pulled the old and worn book from her back pocket, that had been read at least a hundred times before hand and flipped it to her current chapter. she started to walk and read.

"Sheesh... First the second years, next the first, and even a fourth year tried playing a prank on me... I mean, you didn't know it was me, but I'd bet you'd still have done so even if you knew... I partook in all those sports, created the Cultural Society Club, and became president of the student government to get some fun out of the place that others could enjoy to blow off steam between major tests and stuff, not get famous enough to be prank-worthy... Still, even I can't deny it's actually quite fun to take part something other than stuffy meetings and constant studying to uphold my grades." Kuroha said, suddenly beginning a backflip that seemed to be in slow-motion due to a trail of afterimages forming, Kuroha seeming to vanish in those afterimages and land the backflip in a sitting position after a movement from there to the top of a distant tree in which his 'formal' clothes resided. "Sorry, my little prankster and I were having a quick word there. Well, more like a two sentences me, two sentences her, then two sentences me then me teleport away kind of thing, but whatever. She seems rather interesting a person though. Fun, that much is for sure." Kuroha shouted out to Ivan, staying sated in the tree.

@Shog @Halcyon

Gigi couldn't help but pick up the girlfriend bit Kuroha tried to pull. She tried to hold back a small laugh, she highly doubted that would even scratch Ivan's surface. She nodded when it didn't, she was proud of him. Gigi liked Ivan because he was her closest friend, but she has never been romantically inclined to him. She couldn't even imagine it. Suddenly a large gust of wind blew against the group and the bottom of her dress began to lift up. She quickly held it down and glared in the direction of the wind. She wasn't a fan of pranksters, but could never really hate them. She can't hate anyone.

She nodded to Ivan and thanked him as he lead her to the Library. Even if school was over, she had much to learn. She looked around and turned invisible her body neon etchings. She ran through the halls a small whip of light. She got lost and pulled a large set of books. She climbed up the tall bookshelf and began to read. She smiled as she opened a book and began to read. A hour in she had read 12 books and had about 40 more to go. She began to become visible and giggled in the library.

@Anyone. (Sorry guys I was vomiting.)

"That's nice," Ivan said sarcastically, as if he couldn't care less. "Anyway, Mr. President, how do you want to start this? And do you want to focus on the physical aspect of Siege Defense or the strategical? It's up to you."

Having wandered for quite a few steps without actually looking where she was going, Kira stopped surprised when she heard voices and she lowered her book the glance up at the tree she had stopped beside seeing two people sitting in it. She blinked a few times a confused haze passing over her brown eyes as to just why to boys might be in a tree before she realized she went to a school were some people could quite literally shoot things from their hands and so therefore people in tree's was actually quite normal.

"Ah. well morning bird boys" She called and started to laugh at her own joke. Ahh bird boys. Kira shook her head in amusement and wandered a bit further down until she reached the waters edge and the girl promptly sat herself on the ground. She however didn't get close enough to the edge that the water could touch her. She wasn't it's biggest fan, not open water anyways. She spread out in the space she had found herself and cast her eyes toward the book in her hands once more "hmm.." she murmured before flicking a good few pages and starting at one of her favorite chapters.

Niou stood at the top of one of the cliffs that peered over the lake, looking down at the water that especially glimmered in the sunlight from up here. A lot of people would be scared stiff to even look down from this height, let alone jump, but Niou loved the adrenaline that came from it. It made her feel like she was flying, and the sudden impact into the water sent both a shock through her body and a refreshing wave of peace. It was hard to explain, but she was almost addicted to it.

The girl took one more look to make sure no one was around where she expected to land before she smirked and took a few steps back and, with no loss in momentum, took off at a run and jumped off of the cliff without a care in the world. A zealous smile shot from ear to ear as Niou screamed from the thrill of the fall. She twirled her body in the air as she looked around before finally putting her hands over her head to lessen the impact as she dived into the water. Her body shot through for a few seconds before the buoyancy slowed her to a stop, and she opened her eyes to look around at the fish that were too brave to scared off by her sudden presence. Her smile was still glued to her face as she swam for a bit under the water before she decided to come back up, breathing in the air through her nose.

"Ah, let's focus on the physical. My mind's been as sharp as ever thanks to constant use, though I'm getting the feeling that sitting around studying and doing president work is starting to affect my physical capabilities." That there, was when he heard the words of yet another person. "Bird boys? Also, is it just me or is the beach becoming a frequent place for people to go lately?" Kuroha said before dropping down from the tree head-first and flipping to his feet. "Ah, another fourth year...? Sheesh, how many fourth years have I seen opposed to third, second, first, and fifth...? Lately, I feel like the only fifth year student who still knows how to do anything but laze in the classroom or in their room..."

Kuroha sighed as he walked over to the water and jumped on top of it, taking a meditation-like position as he sat there just inches above the water to avoid getting his nomadic clothes wet. It was very requiring of focus to manipulate the air and then the oxygen in the water to float above water, as the unstable motions of the water due to wind could actually disrupt that wind and thus break the heavy winds that resided only below him. Not to mention, he had to keep that wind from affecting anything but the place below him so as to prevent others feeling a strange breeze or such.

"Alright Ivan, let's start with a bit of a race. Hopefully start before I lose my concentration or wear out from such taxing use of my energy and thus fall into the water... I suspect that happen in less than ten minutes, so..." Kuroha kept floating there for the time being, awaiting the response of his friend Ivan. It really had been forever since he'd been able to enjoy things like this, though it was by his choice he took on such a large amount of jobs. Patience was one of the things taught to Kuroha as a nomad, just one of the many things he'd been taught growing up. If one were to have seen him before arriving here, they'd probably be lost completely by his ways.

@Shog @Lola Shimmer

Kaia was probably one of the last students in the school to be free of her final exams, emerging from the classroom and rushing to a window as if she hadn't seen the sun in years.

"I'm free!" She cried excitedly, pressing hands against the warm glass for a moment before deciding the sun's warmth would be even better if she got outside and ran down the hall, shooting out of the door at the end of the tunnel like some crazed miniature rocket, purple pigtails settling around her face wildly as she basked in the sunlight. She sighed, content, before opening her eyes and glancing around. It seemed most of the students were relaxng, basking in the glory that was the end of finals, though, she couldn't spot any of her friends around so decided to go for a stroll across the grounds.
