Akio was happy that things seemed to be working out. While he had managed to successfully test being able to solo quite a bit, he was still felt more comfortable that he had a party work with for this quest. He had a strange feeling that he couldn't shake and for once, he didn't know what was the source. "Olivier, I hate to ask this but would you also be able to possibly provide someone that could maybe drive the cart and watch over it while we focus on looking into what is happening in the dungeon. It would greatly help if we didn't have to focus or worry about the wagon and the treasure we leave in it while we are exploring. I am sure we are likely to find some treasure worth enough to help cover the cost. Either way, I think we should be ready to leave shortly. I would say this afternoon at the latest if you are able to have everything ready by then."

Akio waited for a moment while gathering his thoughts and then starting speaking to the group, "So, we have Chakrii who is a monk. Those skills will be invaluable. Vanessa, you are a cleric and Abigail is a Summoner. This should help provide healing and also extra attack power." Pausing for a moment, he continued not sure how they may react to this next part and hopefully it will help them open up about any additional skills that they may have that aren't as normal. "I am an Enchanter so I can provide a variety of support. My subclass is a bit unique as I have access to learn all 6 of the spell casting classes available. It has taken me a while, but I managed to obtain all of them and some gear that has helped me maximize the benefit of having access to their entire set of skills and spells. So I can also try to switch tactics to help provide additional support in whatever manner we may need. Do any of you happen to have any unique or special abilities?"

Just the combative Monk heard their leader speak forward as he acknowledged the fellow male's words. So... Three supports.... The melee was coming from all from him... This would lead to him focusing more on slam-based skills... Shite, The number of his slams made up in the form of being highly powerful and having massive areas of effect but their number was much smaller than all of them alongside they had the longest cooldowns...

However... A new skill... that granted him the ability to use abilites from six of the spellcasters?! What? Such a thing would be costing hundreds of thousands if Akio had this ability before all of this... What could've... No... His sub-class was such a thing.... He was the first to speak forward...

"I... Understand what you are saying, Akio... I as well have an ability but it changed by sub-class drastically to what it was before... It... Would be best if sent you all a message of the flavor text that it provided."

Opening us his PM messager and quickly filling out what had done to his commrades...

The champion is above all and the same is in wrestling! Expanding your skills through strike, hold, submission & slam! Granting access to additional stances which can be swapped into which consumes stamina for maneuvers in question! Not mana!

Clicking this, Chakrii wondered as to what may've be their possible reactions.... It was myterious how people would handle this....

Akio was pleased that Chakrii at least seemed to take the news fairly well about his ability and turns out had something fairly unique himself. He opened this PMs so he could read the information he had sent and began thinking about how he might could use his skills to help him be more effective. "Maybe while we are traveling, we can take the time to discuss our skills, especially those that are more unique so we can come up with some ways we can be more effective working together. At least what things seem to be your most limiting factors in making the use of your abilities. I know that our support types usually have some issues in prolonged fights maintaining enough mana and take more damage typically when we take an attack. I can definitely help with mana by using mana channelling to redistribute mana to everyone. My mana regeneration and total max amount have been improved thanks to my gear. It seems to be custom designed for someone that has the sage subclass. I originally won access to this subclass from a special event. At the time there wasn't a lot of support for it but there had been information that more support would be coming in the expansion. It had even been rumored that access to gaining it may even be added in the expansion or the following one. Since the Apocalypse, I managed to find the gear I am currently wearing thanks to the help of a companion." Akio paused realizing he had started to ramble off topic and took a quick breath and tried to focus back on the important bits, "Thanks to some of the improvements to aspects important for spellcasters such as total mana and mana regeneration, I should be able to reuse mana channelling enough to help prevent any major mana shortages, at least in a smaller party." Akio paused for a minute and then added, "It may be best not to tell too many people about my unique access to other classes. But I felt it would be good for each of you to know so we can create the most effective strategies for us to use as a party."

"That's so cool," Abigail said after hearing and reading about her party members' new abilities. "Neesan and I don't have any new abilities yet, but I'm sure we'll unlock some eventually."

"We're not really in a rush to unlock our Overskill," Vanessa explained. "If everyone has one, we'll find ours when we find it. Right now the skills on our classes functions the same as in the Elder Tale game, but at our high levels, that shouldn't be a disadvantage."

On the ride to the dungeon, Abigail and Vanessa were as inseparable as usual and sat together in the shade of the wagon, where it was comfortable for the vampanella.

"It might help to see the layout of the dungeon before solidifying a strategy, but a couple simple ideas come to mind. If you can keep the monsters off of me, then I can keep your health up really easily. It sounds like the agro on these monsters is easier to get than the normal ones, so I'm not expecting perfect perfection. Abigail has a couple of tanky summons we can rely on, so Chakrii doesn't have to do all of the tanking," Vanessa started to talk strategy. "Abby can hang back with me and command her summons. That book of hers lessens the cool down on her summons specifically labeled as undead."

"That would be my skeleton soldiers, skeleton archers, and shambling zombies. They have an average amount of HP for a summon, but I can summon a lot of them," Abigail added. "As far as tanks go, I have Grimm Phantom, basically a huge grim reaper looking spirit with big scythe, and a Pumpkin Golem. The golem is a bit slow, but it has a lot of HP and smashing power."

"No matter what happens in the dungeon, I think we can pull out a win. If I get injured, don't use your healing spells on me. As a vampanella you'd just be wasting them and hurting me in the process. I have plenty of potions, so if any monster goes after me, try to get it off me as soon as you can."

"Hi Okami. I'm Neko," Neko introduced herself cheerily, pointing to herself with her thumb. "We were thinking about taking the escort quest. Would you like to join us?" She was so exited to go on a mission that she had blurted it out before Ginjo could.

On the ride, Akio listened to the information Vanessa and Abigail provided about their abilities, especially to the warning about attempting to heal the vampanella. "Vanessa, I don't know if you would know the answer to this but it may be important for me to know in case I have to give additional support healing." Akio took a quick breath before continuing to ask a quick question, "Are you negatively affected by area of effect healing spells? I am wondering if I will need to focus on just using targeted heals or in case things happen to start going badly if I am able to also use AoE healing to help keep us all alive. If we have a little prep time before we enter, I can go ahead and give a couple enchants that can last a for a little while and summon something extra to help keep you safe as well. Once in combat, I have some spells to help hinder movement which should help prevent anything from getting too close to you two as well. Doing as much as I can in advance will help ensure my mana is ready and available for other support tasks once we are in combat."

Vanessa Bloodfallen​

"As a Vampenella, I'm negatively affected by all healing spells. Even though I'm not a true vampire, all Adventurer healing spells seem to come from a holy source and don't mix well with my subclass," Vanessa replied. "But it's not all bad. I can get healing from blood potions as well as regular potions. I also have a blood sucking ability that allows me to leach off the HP of monsters and players. As a high level Vampanella, I have also a ranged variation."

"Getting hit by an area of effect healing spell basically does chip damage at my level. I appreciate the concern for my well being, tiger, but I'll be alright," she added with a confident smile.

Whilst their leader spoke about the tasks ahead of them and further detail such info, Chakrri nodded at this bit about their vampire-beauty. It showed in a newfound level of complexity. Bonuses skills changed the flow of combat, the world itself and many other things... Clenching his hands, The Monk thought of this in detail but he was pulled out of thought when he heard this...

"Interesting... This world grants... more detail when it was just game."

Turning his head upward as his glowing red eyes looked at his comrades, he wondered what some of them were thinking... Nah... They were probably things that he wouldn't understand in the slightest but he did add one thing...

"Well... My Hate Management will drawn in a great deal of the Mobs given my skill allows for some more... complex things to be done.

"Quests? Well, if you'd like me to do some quests I don't mind. I am indeed supposed to be your personal assisstant during your stay in Akihabara! So whatever you feel is worthy of a quest, I guess I'll follow!" He walked with Cassandra, side-stepping each time a person passed by. "So, Cassandra..Tell me about yourself, if you don't mind me asking? I guess if I'm gonna be around you a lot, I should at least know some more about you and your life up until now. Do you have family back home?" Luxu tilted his head to listen to Cassandra during the hustle and bustle. Making sure Cassandra in particular was safe.​

"Yep! The Escort mission seemed pretty interesting, so we're taking it on!" He agreed with Neko, looking at Shiro, then at Okami. "Nice to meet you both, name's Ginjo! Pleasure to have you aboard the rag-tag team!" Ginjo smiled yet again, and...Again it was a failure of a smile. Turning out to be very uncomfortable for those who looked at it.
"So, Shiro, and Okami.." Ginjo started. "Have you been close since the beginning of your Elder Tale experience, or is it just recently that you both have grown accustomed to one another? I bet having to maintain and nurture any animal is a hard practice, especially for a Direwolf."

Black Coral Dungeon

lvl. 80-95

The entrance to the Dungeon reeked with a black aura coming from inside, animals, and even monsters that once inhabited the Dungeon have all but evacuated the premises, cowering in fear in nearby bushes. It was odd, as if something within the ecosystem decided to turn things upside down. Perhaps stronger and larger monsters have begun to grow more advanced in nature, and decided to take over another territory of their own to keep. One thing for sure, was it wasn't normal. And whatever may be causing it was inside the dungeon itself. On the outside of the Dungeon, lay a beach of black sand. Crystal, neon blue water lay outward from the beach, and when touched by the sun, a dark purple glow would be cast along the neon blue waters. From about a mile out would be where a small forest would lay, in which all of the evicted monsters and animals would be cowering away within. An odd status proc was postioned above the Dungeon's description.

"Frenzy" - A new variant to Hate management, in which Monsters will grow even stronger than normal, beefing up both defense and offense. Their tactics will become much more ruthless. Monsters under the control of Frenzy will be increasingly difficult, but when the Frenzy status is gone, monsters suffer a period of exhaustion.

It had only been a few minutes and yet Sayogoromo felt a terrible headache coming on. Perhaps this was Luxu’s Overskill and it allowed him to be a pain. He couldn’t fathom how anyone at the inn managed to tolerate Luxu for so long. “You’re quite energetic, aren’t you?” Cassandra asked with a smile and a playful tone. She stopped near a bed and ran her hand over the dark wood that had a somewhat whimsical design to it. “I have no family, not anymore. My late husband was all I had left…” Her hands tightened on the bed frame and she exhaled to release her heavy emotions. “After that I decide to continue his work for the kingdom and this is where it has brought me. To build new allies in far away lands.” Cassandra cast away her mournful expression and replaced it with a shallow smile. She then turned around and spotted the Adventurer who owned this warehouse. “Luxu would you assist me in purchasing this bed frame and all of the pieces that match it? I have interacted with very of your kind and I would hate for that to show.” Cassandra looked to him and then her attention was caught by a lovely set of lamps in the distance. “Come find me when you’re done.” She said softly before she headed to the lamps.

“That’s a good idea Akio.” Olivier praised before she sat back in her seat. Her thumb and index finger squeezed her chin softly while she tried to think of who she could get to fulfill such a role for the expedition. “I’ll have my treasurer find a lower level player for the job, someone that could learn from the adventure and from you guys.” Having a Person of the Land fill the role sounded like a PR disaster waiting to happen, and she couldn’t imagine a high level player wanting to sit out the action to babysit the cart. Right away she sent a message to the guild’s treasurer, who replied with a bit of sass in regards to Olivier’s many requests, but assured her she’d get the job done

These two were an odd bunch, but perhaps not too odd that he couldn’t endure them and possibly continue to work with them into the future. “It’s nice to meet you both.” Shiro trotted over, tongue lapping at his jowls greedily now that his food was all gone. Okami looked at the wolf and patted him on top of his head. “Shiro and I have been partners for a long time.” Okami then finished off his own breakfast and leaned back and looked at the other two. “So what are your classes? I’m a Samurai.” He declared in his docile tone.

"I'm a cleric. My subclass is idol," Neko replied. She raised up one of her hands, made a peace sign, and winked, activating the sparkly idol effect.

Her eyes lit up when she spotted Shiro. Despite being dressed like a cat fanatic, she liked all animals. "Are you an animal trainer? Does he have a personality of his own, like my mount Cleo? Can I pet him?" she asked rabidly.

As the group arrived at their designation point of entree for the dungeon, Chakrii didn't know what to expect but he expected that this trip would be one hell of a time.

Looking at their surrounds, the monk noticed the odd sand and unnatural pure water given the air along with it's size... This meant some level of danger for the group.... Damn. He then noticed the odd status activation part which caught him by surprise which he then stated aloud...

"This Dungeon will be rather dangerous.... The monsters may be even greater than what they normally would be... Including the bosses."

His tensed frame and face spoke volumes in comparison to his words as he pondered the dangers that would come.

Vanessa climbed out of the back of the carriage, smoothly pulling out her umbrella and opening it above her hand in one single motion as her feet firmly touched the ground. Abigail jumped off the back of the carriage after the Vampanella had exited the vehicle.

While the black sand and crystal clear water was a little odd, the forest and the whimpering sounds from the monsters within stole their attention. When Elder Tale was a game, all of the monsters acted in a very predictable way and never attacked each other. That seemed to be changing.

Looking at the ominous dungeon entrance, Abigail gulped and reached for Vanessa's hand. After feeling Abigail grip her hand, Vanessa squeezed it reassuringly. She looked down at Abigail and gave her a smile that seemed to say "It's going to be OK."

Finding her courage, Abigail smiled back. "We're ready when you guys are."

Akio had been entranced by the odd beauty of the area the dungeon was located and so was also the last to exit the wagon. He quickly saw the information about the dungeon and its status effect on monsters. While that was something to note and be cautious about, he wasn't going to spend time worrying about it at this time. Instead, he would see what could be done to offset this problem when they finally had to face it. Maybe if they can get a chance to catch just one or two monsters with this special status separate from any other monsters, the monsters can be used to experiment with before it becomes a larger problem later for the party.

As he stepped down from the wagon, he paused for a moment and swapped his more normal travelling clothes for his gear using the game menu to equip his gear. Suddenly he was wearing soft leather boots, dark pants from an unknown fabric, a cloak that almost seems like the pattern is meant to imitate the stars, a circlet appeared on his head, black leather bracers with gold fasteners and silver emblems embossed into the leather, and a 5 foot long dark wood staff with a white gold crescent moon and a silver star at one end. He turned towards the lake and said quickly, "Just one moment, I want to take a closer look at the water and sand." Akio proceeded over to the edge of the lake, trying to keep alert just in case there was some hidden surprise around. He reached into his magic bag and pulled out a couple vials and filled them with water. He also took out a small pouch and put some sand in it and sealed the pouch, then placed these items back in the bag carefully to ensure they would be safe and not spill any of their contents.

Once he was done with that quick sample collection, he stood up and and started recalling all of his protection and buffing spells that had longer times of effect and went ahead and cast those on everyone. Then he went ahead and summoned a stone golem, thinking it might be useful to have that already out to help provide a small measure of safety just in case. Despite the number of spells he needed to cast, the amount of time this took was very brief hinting that the casting time and cooldown times were altered. "Hopefully this will give us a small advantage in case we are caught off guard. I am ready to proceed whenever you are ready."

Luxu waved as Cassandra went off, perhaps he had been too pushy with the subject of her past. Though, he did as he was told. Walking to the market that was selling the bedframe and its pieces. Luckily he was able to tell the seller that Cassandra was buying it rather than himself, and to just load it up into Cassandra's carriage. Once done with that ordeal, he went off to find Cassandra again, remembering she was at the lamp market, he headed over there. Looking at all the lamps as he did so, he smiled at them all. Such elaborate and beautiful designs. From there he'd find Cassandra a few feet ahead, making his way towards her relatively relaxed.​

"Assassin, lvl 35 at your service." Ginjo leaned back in his seat, all the high level players had already left for their quest it seemed. Looking down at Shiro he gave the direwolf a smile, though he would not touch Shiro, not unless given permission or knew that Shiro liked being pet. After his smile to Shiro, he returned his attention to his new friends. "Haha! Neko you definitely asked the questions I was thinking. Is Shiro okay with that sort of stuff Okami?"


Black Coral Dungeon

lvl. 80-95

The waves had grown in strength, only lightly. pushing further onto the black sand before them. Though, the dungeon itself was...under the water? Surely, when arriving one can see the information about the dungeon and its entrance point. But at this very moment the dungeon wasn't anywhere to be seen. Until the sun hit at the right mark. It was a little before noon now, and the path was opened.
Out of nowhere, the waves of the sea began to part open, large pools of water pushing away from one single point. Some ways ahead, and if one walked off the edge of the sand towards the sea there lay a opening of a cavern, covered in black coral. The path had opened, allowing the adventurers to walk without worry of getting wet, or drowning, towards the cavern. The <Frenzy> buff flashed in the description of the Dungeon, allowing players to know its warning if they hadn't catched it before. And the description of the dungeon itself read

....

"Adventurer's, you have arrived at Black Coral Dungeon. In days of old, the secret passage to the cavern of the Black Coral Dungeon was found by a Bard, and as he ventured inside he found wonderous things. Perhaps you could still find some of those very same things the Bard found once he ventured inside. Though he left without taking any items himself, others would come to find the secret passage in time. Those who took from the dungeon would one day grow feral, almost like a wild animal. Greed comes at a price, though challenge the Black Coral Dungeon and win, and you could find yourself rewarded without punishment."

"Do we have to swim down there, neesan?" Abigail asked. Vanessa shrugged. "Looks like it."

Suddenly the waves started to part and the path to the cavern entrance started to drain out. Was this dungeon only open during a certain period of the day? If they took too long was there another exit? With these questions mostly unanswered, the two gothic adventurers turned their attention to the dungeon description. They made a mental note not to touch any of the treasure that they might find down there.

"After you," Vanessa said to the rest of the group.

Vanessa and Abigail stayed in the back of the group as they entered the cavern. Abigail summoned one Haunted Jack-O-Lantern and held it in her hand, casting a light a couple feet around the party like a torch. The jack-O-lantern occasionally moved its mouth and the glow in its eye slits shifted like pupils, gazing around the cavern.
