Fandom Elder Scrolls - Akavir’s Rise OOC

I spent most of Skyrim in apocrypha, so many mazes, so many stretching corridors

The things I do to be a lich xD
(Undeath Mod, lets you be a lich)

I'm almost done with the sheet. Also, hearing you all talk about skyrim really makes me want to play again...but my laptop can barely run the game, unmodded, at the lowest settings. Trust me - the low graphics in this game really do ruin it.

> I know this is closed. I know.

Regardless, I wanted to try my luck considering it's the only Elder Scrolls RP I could find, and is one you guys take seriously (as opposed to the silly RPs with one liners and lack of story / character building etc.)

Is there any possible chance I could slip myself into this one before it's too late (albeit that it technically is too late, hence why you've set the IC as Closed) -- still, a certain amount of stubbornness / masked determination might win me some points (I at least must hope). I'm a well experienced roleplayer (several years) and especially with Elder Scrolls RPs, and having been a prominent member of Tamriel Foundry Roleplayers since the site's creation until (and continuing from) now.

I know my lore, I have a bunch of (what I would consider to be) decent characters that I could choose to RP with (assuming you dislike my first choice, or potentially even second, third, fourth, fifth... you get the picture, I've a lot of ES RP characters that I've used in the past quite extensively - from different points in the timeline also).

The premise of this RP definitely interests me, though I'm curious as to the setting. Obviously at the moment, Cidhna Mine in Skyrim - but I didn't see any comment on the year, or Era. Is this set after Skyrim, or set during one of the 1E or 2E invasions?

My guess is 2E invasion, since you specifically remarked about the Kamal, but who knows.

Well...you did have the courage to come up even when the rp was closed and I’ve been in the same situation. So, yes! You can come in :)

Also, this happens after the events of Skyrim, the Dragonborn is dead, and most of Morrowind is ash.

Merci! Merci! :D

I'll work on my character sheet after I've finished cooking / eating. I look forward to RPing with you.

That reminds me- What's the state of politics? Like, did the Imperials win, did the Stormcloaks win?

Sorry for all the questions, but this will potentially affect my first post...

1) What's the Akiviri 'approach' to Tamrielic folk? For example, is everyone killed / captured on sight, or is it more of a normal wartime stance that they focus on the armies and civilians are simply kept under control in the territories the Akiviri have conquered?

i.e Can civilians travel, or will they be apprehended?

2) Where is conquered? Which parts of Tamriel are conquered, and is the war on-going?

  1. Most are killed, but some are given the choice to accept the Ka Po Tun’s leader as a god. Most are apprehended and in places like Markarth, they’re turned into thralls.
  2. Morrowind has been conquered and Markarth has been taken captive, that’s it so far.

Does that mean most of Skyrim has been depopulated? Who gets to live in the cities after they've been conquered?

Also, will we be visiting other provinces in this rp?

Hmm what about the other cities it is jumping over most of them
No, they’ve only touched Markarth but they’re trying to move inward. Most people are either killed or turned into thralls while the akaviri races that aren’t fighting take control and rebuild them as they see fit acting as the citizens, royals, politicians, etc.

We’ll see the other Provences and even another continent(I bet you know which) later on

How did they get to Markarth in the first place? Did they all just teleport there and/or ignored everything else in between?

So they invaded morrowind then went south and around skyrim?

There’s also an army on the other side, they’re meeting in the middle, however, the other side is lying in wait. They’re trying to corner Skyrim so there’s nowhere anyone can escape.

Also as for teleportation, teleportation magic isn’t a stretch :P

It kind of makes sense as you have 5o invade and take several provinces before you get to Markarth like hammerfall and high rock.

Still honestly feels like a plot hole. Unless they have taken the other provinces which would be big news.

What's stopping High Rock or Hammerfell from closing in from the west?

It doesn't sound very cost effective to teleport thousands of soldiers, camp followers and administrators across the continent at once. It seems a bit like cheating.
