Loser's queue is real and it's coming for you.
- Your life may have been fulfilling. Or, perhaps, it was one of colorlessness and anguish. Perhaps your thread was tragically cut short at the whim of the fates, or, unable to bear the innumerable sorrows that come with this agonizing lifetime, you've severed it yourself. Regardless of how and why, your life has ended. One moment, a bright light as the color fades from your wavering eyes, and in another moment, you find yourself here.
One moment, you were dead. And in another, you find yourself in a grand, yet crumbling chamber, brought back to tortured consciousness by some entity that calls itself Da'at.
Regardless of how shocked you are at memories of your possibly incredibly painful death, it isn't hard to connect the dots. This is a plot pulled straight out of the novels and manga of your past life. You were once a mundane, unassuming resident of a quiet and tranquil Earth. But, that was in the past. Whoever you were no longer mattered. The entity apologizes, and welcomes you to this new, crumbling world:
Eisar: A World Derelict of Even Death Itself
A world abandoned by the Heavenly Hosts, left to the cruel and inhuman devices of Devils and Old Gods. A dying and derelict world, left behind by even Death itself.
A world where humanity hangs, if only by a thin thread, threatening to give way and snap at any given moment. Here, the dead cannot truly die. Those whose lives expire soon rise, added to the ranks of undeath that stalk the hinterlands, forever lost and seeking to spread the plague of undeath. And, at the forefront of it all, the Necromancer shepherds the undead hordes, leading his legions against the living to snuff out all life, and consume Eisar in undeath.
Moreover, among the living, conflict is aflame in all fronts; Devils that charm unwitting souls into the ranks of their followers, Old Gods that seek to spread their unknowable agenda, and the innumerable demons that leak into the mortal world.
A stark difference from your old home. A forsaken place, where even hope has been snuffed.
All hope, save for the last few kindling.
That, is your role in this new world. The people here have all but lost even the tiniest inkling of hope, battling an endless war of attrition against that which does not tire, nor die. But you - you are not of this place. Having brought you back to life, the entity Da'at asks but one request of you.
Please, save us. - Whoo, low effort intro, even lower effort setting. For anyone else that plays League, yeah, this is literally just the High Noon universe as an isekai with like, half an afterthought tacked on. I completely forgot which gacha game the whole 'undead are trying to take over the world and is winning' I stole it from but yeah I also stole that half from a different video game. As you can tell, I'm a very creative person.
For those that were too lazy to read the already short and very crappily written intro, tldr; isekai'd into a shitty world where humans are almost extinct and an evil necromancer is working his ass off to make sure it happens. There may also be lovecraftian entities, and things from literal hell tossed in for good measure, just to really drive home how fucked everyone is. And players have been isekaid to this shithole to save it or fail miserably. I'll mostly focus on the whole 'Undead pandemic' side, the rest are mostly there for worldbuilding.
And for anyone who's interested for whatever fucking reason, just know that I have commitment issues and this RP may very well fall through before it even starts because of my crippling League addiction. Other than that, I'll just get some basic expectations out of the way:
- I am more than willing to accommodate for everyone's personal character arcs. That does not mean you are the exclusive protagonist. Everything does not, in fact, revolve around you and I am making this abundantly clear right out the gate.
- Use your brain. Do stupid shit IC, and expect to suffer consequences. There will be no nat 20's to save your ass.
- I don't expect anyone to follow the direction I have set in any capacity. I actively encourage derailing the plot into oblivion. Just refer to the above when doing so.
im looking for like 3-5 players. Any more than that and my brain will probably implode from having to read too many words.
