Cannibalism didn't seem very likely. Ignoring the obvious fact that it was gross there were logistical errors. You couldn't just eat a whole human in a single night. And there'd be remnants of the body left behind. And if someone had eaten the body they would have eaten it raw and shown signs of having some sort of illness soon after.

But nevermind that. May had important buisness to attend too. The defendant needed to be interviewed and following that the two witnesses. The trial was tomorrow and he needed to get ready. Collect information. Prepare his attack.

"Well, you two have fun." May said to the two defense attorneys, walking away. "The detective is at your disposal. Ask him whatever you want as long as it's not classified."

"Ah, right. Have fun~" Redd waved May off, and turned his attention to the detective, beginning to question the poor sod. "So, Detective, need you again. Need to ask you a few questions. We got any witnesses? Where can I find 'em? What about the victim's room, anything weird in there? And, about all that blood? I don't think it all belongs to the victim. Could we get a couple blood tests? Gotta rule out a second victim. Thanks, babe."

  The detective frowned at Redd. Had he seriously just called him "babe"? Why had the prosecutor left him with this idiot. He sighed.
  
  "We've got two witnesses. The school security guards. They saw the whole thing from the security booth. They should still be there now. The thumb drive with the security footage on it has gone missing so all we have to go on is their testimony. This should all be in the court record, though. We've searched the victims room but we didn't find anything useful. You're free to check it out if you want but I doubt you'll find any more clues than I have. And as for blood tests, we're not amateurs. We did some already. The blood is the victims. But there also seems to be some red paint mixed in with the blood. It took us three tries to identify the actual blood."

  The Detention Center was no more than a 5 minutes drive away from the school so May made it there in no time at all. Sheena Vixen was a small girl. Definitely not strong enough to kill anyone. Yet she was the one on trial here. And the one May had to prosecute against. The two of them, of course, met in the Visitors Room.
  
  "Alright, Miss Vixen." May said. "I think I have to start with the obvious question: did you do it?"
  
  Sheena's fake fox ears turned sideways and then backwards despite the fact that that shouldn't be possible with costume ears. Maybe they were specially made or something. "I already said I didn't do it. I'm actually very sad about James' death. Noone deserves to die."
  
  "I can't say I disagree." May replied. "Next question: what's your alibi? What were you doing at the time of the murder?"
  
  Sheena's ears perked up. "I was working on a new costume design! There's a renaissance fair next week and I want to make sure I'm ready!"
  
  May nodded. That seemed pretty solid except for the fact that noone could prove that and they had eyewitnesses to the murder.
