Reid walked into the cafeteria, clutching her US History textbook, her head down. She didn't want to meet eyes with anyone right now, especially any of the juniors who had just witnessed the spectacle that went on in class. It doesn't matter, she told herself, In ten years you'll be a successful chemical engineer who won't have to memorize stupid dates. Buy why did she stil feel miserable? She had set herself up for the perfect oppurtunity to be humiliated. History had never been her strong subject. She was more of a science and math person, relying more on numbers and logic to solve problems. It didn't help that their teacher siezed every oppurtunity possible to tease her about it. Pushing it aside, she got into the line to pick up a lunch, hoping she wasn't getting any dirty looks.

Viktor was still cursing himself when he lit another cigarette to deal with the stress. He couldn't believe that his anxiety had frozen him twice, not only in the same day, but in the same 5 minutes. That wasn't a good sign. He would have to talk to his psychiatrist about that, as if that bastard really cared. All Viktor cared about was getting his meds, though, so he supposes they're even. He notices several people walking outside. A boy with a skateboard in a tree, another girl sitting in the grass, some...*shudders* freshman....

He takes a long drag on his cig and tosses it in a puddle. *ssss* He reaches into his bag and pulls out a sandwich. He stares at it and hisr stomach growls. "ALRIGTHT FINE ILL EAT!" He realizes he just yelled out loud and covers his mouth

At the sound of yelling, Jace's head snapped up. He narrowed his eyes and looked around, his gaze finally setting on a guy holding a sandwich with his hand over his mouth. It took him a moment to realize that nothing was really going on; he hadn't even really heard exactly what had been shouted. However, he eyed the guy for a moment longer before looking away, rapidly blinking. He brought his hand up to rub at his left eye and sighed. Relaxing back into the bench he idly toyed with the band around his middle finger, looking around to see if there was anything interesting going on that he could use as a subject. Everything seemed peaceful. He watched the younger group of students go back to their chatting, disregarding the outburst, and furrowed his brow. Lifting his camera to his eye and adjusting the lens, he focused on a small group of friends, all either smiling or playfully swatting at each other. Jace hummed under his breath, something he did a lot when taking pictures, and pressed down on the shutter button. He brought the camera away from his eye and examined the picture, satisfied with the shot he had gotten. It was a clear take of the group but he deleted it, knowing that he would have to ask permission to keep any pictures.

Grace heard the random outburst and started to complentate whether or not to go eat something. If she didn't, her foster mom would scold her, if she did that she means she would have to go into the lunchroom where a bunch of people were, and potentially embarrass herself. In the end, her anxiety got the best of her.

Reid grabbed a wrap out of the lunch line, then contemplated her options for a minute. Stay inside, and risk sitting alone, or go outside and socialize? Her social instinct won out, so she pushed open the door and headed out onto the perfectly manicured lawn. The warm air felt good against her skin, and she felt inclined to take her blazer off. Making sure not too many people were looking, she slid off her gray blazer to reveal one of her favorite blue tank tops, one that had, "Okay? Okay." written on it in clouds. She loved to show off her passions, and she hoped to maybe make some friends for once.

Viktor absent mindedly plays with his gages with is non-smoking hand. He looks at his cig with disgust and decided to flick it out halfway through. Thats when he decided to walk back inside. There were no answers outside. Hell, he didnt even know what the question was. Maybe he would find a question inside. But, first he had to finish his sandwich. He really REALLY hated eating in the lunchroom. Something about a whole room telling him what to do made him want to rebel against it. He he sits under the same tree he was smoking under and takes a bite of his sandwich. Turkey and avocados. Nice.

Delilah carried an apple in her hand, tossing it back and forth between both of her hands as she walked alongside Camilla. She pushed open the door with her currently free hand and exited the building. Delilah looked around at all the people outside of the school curiously. She paused her gaze on Jace, but before she could say anything, Camilla stopped her.

"DJ, he's pretty gay... And I think he has a boyfriend, too." Camilla looked over at Delilah before walking down the stairs and wondering over to sit at a nearby picnic table. She sat down on the bench and turned around slightly to look back over at Delilah. Camilla smiled lightly before turning back to her table. She knew it would be a minute before Delilah found her next 'playtoy' as Cami liked to call them.

Delilah rolled her eyes and shook her head. She squinted her eyes gently at Camilla, "I wasn't even going to ask..." Delilah made her way casually down and over to the picnic table. She lid onto the bench across from Camilla and let her eyes wander around again. "He's creepy... That guys a smoker; gross... She's okay I guess..." Delilah sighed, looking over at Cami. "Tell me again why we have to go to a school where the majority of the students are either smokers, weirdos, or complete spazzes?"

Camilla simply giggled. She had the urge to respond to the rhetorical question in her normal, sarcastic way but she tried to hold back. Camilla could tell Delilah was actually feeling really disappointed. She had never really had an issue with Delilah's little problem and by now she almost tried to help her spot people that might be of interest. Camilla decided to let her eyes wander around, too, although she knew most of the people here it never hurt to check for new students or even old students that happened to get more attractive over time.

As the two girls exit the building, Viktor eyes them walking over to their bench and notices one of them is checking out everyone in sight, a habit he himself has gotten into. As she scans over him, he is staring at her and realizes that, so he quickly looks away, pretending to be preoccupied with his sandwich. Crap...Viktor...you are the the single, worst person at first impressions. "I know.." He says to himself out loud. He finishes up his sandwich and props his guitar case on his lap, opening it up. He takes out his guitar and begins playing some Explosions in the Sky. Ah..much better. The sound of his own guitar playing always calmed him down, or at least helped him forget about his problem, at least for the moment

Reid let out a disappointed sigh. So far, no one had pointed out her shirt, or made an effort to talk to her for that matter. That's normally how things were. No one wanted to talk to the school geek, she thought miserably. She walked by a table where two girls were talking, one looking noticeably disappointed. Though she wasn't much of a social butterfly herself, she was hit with a burst of confidence. She walked up to their table and told herself to smile. "Hi, I'm Reid and I was wondering if maybe you'd let me sit here...?" She ended the phrase as a question, the way she did when she was nervous, anxiously waiting for a response.

Once Grace's song ended, she heard someone playing the guitar. Intrigued, she looked around. She saw a man, playing the guitar. C'mon, just go and talk to him she told herself. Her heart jumped as she stood up. "D-Do you pl-play?" She asked. Of course he plays, he playing it right now.

Viktor, being the smartass he is, smiles and says "Nnnnope!" He smiles widely and lets there be an awkward silence for a second before laughing nervously. "Yeah...I play heh sorry. I shouldnt have messed with you like that...bad habit. Im Viktor" He introduces himself like he always does. His slight Russian accent is barely detectable, except when he says his name. It always comes through on his name.

"O-Oh no, it's fin-fine. It wa-was a s-stupid qu-question," Grace shakes her head. "I'm G-Grace," She introduces herself. She wrings her hands as she speaks, a nervous habit.

Viktor can see that she is really nervous, just like he was a couple minutes ago. He feels really bad but is unsure whether to say something to her about it. He thinks what he would want and decides to say something. "You really dont have to be nervous around me, Grace. I dont judge people" It had sounded more reassuring in his head, but now his words are out there. I hope that was good enough

Grace tries to smile. "Thank y-you, really." She responds. Grace pulls the sleeves over her hands. Perhaps, for once she could actually have a friend. This could be a heyday for her foster mom when Grace would tell her later. "I don-don't ju-judge people eit-either," She shakes her head.

He smiles and tilts his head "Thats good! You know, 'judge not lest ye be judged yourself'" Oh...my ...god...did you just quote the bible to this girl? WHAT THE HELL DUDE PLAY IT COOL! "Eheh...so...uhm....do you play anything?" He tried to steer the conversation far, far away from where it just was. He starts quietly strumming his guitar and a light, airy melody floats through the air

Delilah glanced over at the girl who had wandered over. She looked her up and down for a quick second before smiling faintly and turning her eyes away. This little expression earned her a hit from Camilla. Delilah quickly glared over at Camilla, smiling up at Reid. "Sure. Go for it, hun." She turned her gaze back away to look over the people more. Delilah spotted a guy sitting up in a tree. She raised an eyebrow slightly but caught herself smirking seconds later. Here we go... She practically had to tear her eyes away from him to look over at Camilla. Delilah was about to give her their signal but noticed she was talking to the girl so she just turned her eyes back to look at DeeJay.

Camilla shook her head after hitting Delilah's arm then turned and smiled brightly at Reid. "You'll have to excuse my friend... She's more of a loner. I'm basically all she has." She scooted over to make more room for her to sit. Camilla looked up at Reid, clear interest in her eyes. She wasn't used to being approached so kindly before. Usually, people approached her to either ask about Delilah or to ask to copy homework. This, of course, was a nice change of pace. Camilla shifted her eyes to Delilah for a split second when she saw her fidget out of the corner of her eye. She looked back at Reid, still smiling.

Grace looked at the guitar as Viktor played. "Ju-Just ukulele," She shakes her head. "Can't af-afford any-anything else," She shakes her head. Oh my god, Grace you idiot, now he's going to think your dirt poor. She smiles awkwardly. "You-You're r-really good," She nodded, changing the subject.

He smiles and closes his eyes, continuing to play. "Thanks, Grace. I practice everyday" He says matter of factly. "I love how the ukulele sounds. People don't take it seriously as an instrument. Its really a beautiful instrument." He opens his eyes and smiles at her

Deejay~

Deejay yawned a bit and scratched his head before balling up the empty bag of chips he had and tossing it into the trash can.He brushed the crumbs off of his shirt and shorts then jumped down from the tree landing on his feet and grabbed the skateboard afterwards.Turning around,Deejay looked over at the girl who was staring at him and smiled then gave her a little wave. The male zipped open his backpack and slid his board inside the closed it as much as he could since it was sticking out from the top.Yes,he would have road his car to school but,he felt that he should enjoy outdoors by skateboarding to school today and,for right now,it was a good idea.He picked up his now slightly heavier backpack and slung it on his shoulders before walking over to the water fountain, which was only a few inches away from the female who obviously caught an interest in him.He pushed the small button on the side and slipped some up"Wow that's cold."he said to himself not realizing it was a little louder than he expected it to be.He continued to slip until he was a bit full of water then he walked over to the front doors of the school and walked inside. From there he went to his locker and put his backpack inside closing it shut then walked into the bathroom to talk care of a couple of things.

Grace smiles and agrees. "Yeah," She agrees "My f-foster mom use-used to ca-call it a tiny g-guitar," She adds. She looks at her feet "I've always wa-wanted to l-learn how to pla-play guitar," She admits.

Delilah smirked, waving back lightly at DeeJay then turning to face Camilla and Reid. She bit her lip slightly, raising an eyebrow and thinking for a moment. This one may be trickier to approach. I'll have to come up with a new tactic. He doesn't seem like the party type but I could always test it out. Delilah blinked herself back into reality when she noticed him nearby at the water fountain. She quickly turned her gaze to look around at other people, trying to get her mind off of this one guy. It was a bit difficult, though, but she could manage. Once she figured he had walked away, she brought her attention back to her own table and smiled at both Camilla and Reid.

Viktor can't help but to laugh. "Tiny guitar? That's so cute :3" He really thought that was adorable. "Its really not that difficult yknow...I mean once you get the basics. I could teach you if you wanted..." he realized that she was shy and he may have been to foreward. "Sorry..." he had no idea why he vocally apologized and he just stared down at his guitar

As he realized that more people were coming outside, Jace quickly grew more and more uncomfortable. His eyes flickered from one person, to a group of people, to a pair of people. Everyone seemed well spread out, but Jace himself was starting to feel crowded, squeezed in. He deeply inhaled, looking down and trying to focus on his camera again. When he found that he could no longer fully take in what was going on in the picture, he sighed and shut it off, rubbing at his face. "Ah, man..." he mumbled, leaning back against the bench.
