LOL how does the soul draining work? is it just by proximity?

Basically it's sort of like a syphoning. Point your palm at something with a soul then drain them either slightly or fully. Draining someone however does cause side effects like I mentioned before.

Pretty much yeah, though syphoning is usually done to people who offers it rather then just taking it. The Steelbound are honorable knights and all so it's considered dishonorable to syphon from someone against their will, though House Samhane is rumored syphon souls fully from prisoners and unwilling, unimportant townsfolk as the people in their dungeons have a habit of suddenly dying for various reasons.

i feel like the "soul siphoning" thing should be resistable

They are the ones trying to recreate the Cursed Binding but on a smaller scale cause they actually like their new bodies rather then being apathetic or straight up hating it so yeah. I'd say they're pretty bad.

like i said, i think stronger people should be able to rest the soul siphoning. and probs certain races too. if anything i can see Har Elves resisting it (which are basically High Elves), and similar races with stronger life spans and energy

I agree with you on that. It shouldn't just be "Suck, you dead." It should be more like a sort of tug of war between the syphoner and the one being syphoned and like you said, probably certain races with stronger energies and longer life spans, and just people in general with strong wills would be able to resist it.

Totem Reaper: Frightening creatures that resides in ritualistic totems,. These totems were once used to mark the territories of long gone tribes, but now they had been left to erode. However strange, spectral monsters had made their homes inside these totems and once potential prey had gotten close enough, these Totem Reapers will shoot out with long rending claws to slice through armor, flesh and bone with ease, aiming for killing or disabling blows so they can drag their victims into their totems to consume them in a bloody mess.
