Desired Hero Name:
Hero Hound (Hīrōhaundo)
Desired Hero Costume:
Yasushi usually dons a one-piece tracksuit will little or no other accessories accruing to it.
Yasushi has always been of the shy persuasion when relating to other people; he has been like this since the age of seven and though he finds it hard to talk to people at first, after spending a good portion of time with those people, he becomes endearingly friendly even though he continues with a slight stutter around them. His shyness is usually front and centre when talking with figures of authority, whether that would be with strangers, teachers, his own parents from time-to-time and most especially, when he happens to meet Heroes in person. Though his stuttering ends up annoying people upon his first meeting of them, through time spent with him, people usually remark it as one of the most endearing aspects of his person.
Yasushi is an incredibly loyal person to those he calls his friends and will speak in their defence if they are wrongly accused of something or are being roughed by people in the classroom or on the outside, just rather meekly and is one of the few occasions you will actually hear him raise his voice to anything above normal speaking level. He will always stand up for those people who have stuck by him and have tolerated his stuttering and quietness, no matter who bothers or threatens them. Though he is usually on the other end of a verbal or in some cases a physical beat down, he doesn't regret for a second any amount of blood loss or disgrace upon his character as long as his friends are spared such indignities. He'll usually smile through it all afterwards, whether that be through a black eye and blood dripping from his mouth or looking particularly down since the statements made about him were true!
Through being a shy person generally and not being prone to speaking much, this makes him a great listener and is often a person that people turn to vent or to voice their frustrations on number of topics. His fellow classmates often call him the 'In-Class Councillor' and Yasushi often take pride in the fact that people find him so easy to vent to, often saying that, "I-I-If I c-can't talk to p-people easily, I'll m-make it so...so they can t-talk to m-me..." Nonetheless he hardly gets a word in as why they feel these things but realises that people are more than capable of dealing with their own problems but often internalise these troubles instead of getting them out there, wide out and in the open.
Yasushi was born the only son of a school teacher father and an active-Hero mother, both of whom he admired greatly; by focusing on his studies and giving them the great importance that they are due, he sought to honour the profession of his father and by hoping to learn about his Quirk and being able to regulate it's use, he hopes to emulate his mother and become a fully-fledged, people-protecting Hero. The family also had a dog called Tsume which Yasushi has known since a child, constantly taking him out for walks and bringing the dog with him as he went to hang out with friends in the neighbourhood. The young lad was quite exuberant as a child, chattering to the point of it being almost infuriating to the people around him but he was almost completely oblivious, doing it for the sake of annoying the more irritable of his friends, all in jest of course. However, that was all to change rather drastically and horrifyingly for the young child, who would never be the same again after a life-changing incident.
A few months after turning four-years old, young Idaina-Kiba found himself awake at an unusual hour, since the young child was always one for falling to sleep quickly. Getting out of bed, the young child felt himself to be heavier than usual, hairier too but turned to go to the bathroom to uncover the reason why. Flicking on the light and turning to look at his reflection, the child screamed in terror upon seeing the horrific mug of a wolf staring back at him. The child raced down the stars, and out into the backyard where the family dog Tsume slept. The canine was alerted to his fight and after gazing upon the unrecognisable form of his owner, whimpered in fear at first, circling Yasushi in a show of cautiousness. Then, before the young child could react, the dog charges at him and latches his fangs onto the child's arm, forcing Yasushi to howl in pain as he struggled to unhinge the resolute grip of the animal's jaw from his forearm. Having done so, Yasushi dashed backwards to keep some distance between himself and Tsume but the pain coursing through his body forced to the ground kneeling. He knew it was only a matter of time before Tsume charges again and upon thinking that, the dog rushed him once again and Yasushi did likewise, gripping the dog's neck, snapping it with relative ease. Tsume's body slumped to the ground, Yasushi cradling the corpse in his arm, howling into the night as his parents rushed out to investigate the scene, consoling their young child.
After this, Yasushi's parents realised that Yasushi would be too much of a danger to his fellow classmates at a young age should his Quirk suddenly activate, so they home-schooled up until the age of ten, gauging the nature of his Quirk, the extent to which he could keep it activated, the various drawbacks to its use and all other details contained therein. As a result, Yasushi has become a much different character to the child he once was, becoming a shy character who very rarely mentions his Quirk and even rarer, attempts to use it.
Lycanthrophy || Type: Transform
Yasushi's Quirk is essentially being able to turn into a half-man, half-wolf hybrid, or what many people commonly refer to as a werewolf. At a young age, Yasushi's Quirk suddenly activated, knocking him out due to the level of pain that is involved in the transformation. Through being home-schooled and learning to control it through his father and mother's guidance, Yasushi has seized greater control over his transformation. When in lycanthropic form, he possesses many of the attributes many associate with werewolves, such as; enhanced strength, enhanced speed, enhanced senses amongst other improvements. Yasushi can maintain this form for a maximum of seven minutes and thereafter, in order to maintain his form, he will need to consume...meat, whether it be human or animal. Due to his revulsion at the thought of consuming raw meat no matter the source, Yasushi usually turns back into his human form after the duration is complete, becoming violent sick and nauseated as a result. Due to this, Yasushi very rarely engages his Quirk. When in werewolf form, Yasushi can increase his physical mass, though the consequences of such is becoming more bloodthirsty and needing greater quantities of meat to stay within that form. Therefore, Yasushi is fully aware that his Quirk is one that should only ever be used in isolated situations far away from civilisation.
Special Move:
Partial Limb Metamorphosis:
When in his human form, Yasushi can manipulate his body parts into there werewolf-like counterpart, which can be used for a variety of situations such as when he wishes to utilise the claws of a werewolf to shy off an attacker.
Relationships To Other PCs:
This section will be filled in as the roleplay progresses.
Family & NPC Relations:
Yasushi has a very deep bond with his parents, even before the Tsume incident and especially more so afterwards. They helped greatly through staying home with to educate him and to help him tame and hone his rather volatile Quirk. They helped him greatly in this matter, allowing him to return to public schooling and civilised after a near six-year hiatus. Though he is no longer the exuberant lad he once was, in his quite demanour he hopes to make his parents proud of him.
Once more, Yasushi thought making another drive towards the tree in the backyard. The young man had engaged the partial limb metamorphosis aspect of his Quirk, serrated claws erupting from his fingers where his once tentative hand used to be. He sliced diagonally across the trunk of the tree, his claws breaching the wood like a hot knife through better. Yasushi dashes backwards, taking a moment to look at his handiwork. The mark joined a variety of slashes across the tree, a few more gashes and the lad would nearly cut through the oak entirely. Light nearly seemed to reflect off the talons, like double-edged swords attached to his appendages. A double-edged sword, to put it mildly, he thought remorsefully, glancing over at the grave of the family dog Tsume.
The young man walked rather slowly over to the grave, a small altar with a message hewn into the rock; Here lies Tsume, fried and faithful companion. Yasushi knelt, his eyes turned forlornly towards the grave, finding it hard to gaze on the monument to the pet that he slew. Not just slew, he thought, tears beginning to well up in his eyes as his mind cast back to that dreadful morning, I slaughtered him, disembowelled, massacred. Yasushi quickly wiped away at the tears, remembering that his parents always used to say to him, "You were four-years old and in no control of your senses, it wasn't your fault sweetheart". It didn't help with the guilt but the served as a means to show that his Quirk has the potential to not only be dangerous but to be fatal.
"I-I'm s-s-sorry Tsume, w-wherever y-you are, k-k-know that I-I'm sorry," he says quietly, before walking into the house, the evening sunshine shining on the site of his grave crime.
