General InformationTechnicians or Meisters are warriors who fight and battle using the weapon forms of Demon Weapons, people who are able to transform into traditional weapons.
Solo MeisterSolo Meisters are meisters who forgo DWMA's general standard of Meister and Weapon partnerships, to work on their own. Solo Meisters are rare, and are often at most times hardly ever seen much among DWMA branches. Most solo meisters gain biased scrutiny from peers due to the abnormality of a meister working by themselves (this also applies to Autonomous Weapons), however if a Meister can prove they have what it takes to be a Soloist, the possibility of a meister being a Solo Meister, is not impossible.
Advanced PositionsWhen a Meister has reached the rank of a Three Star Elite, they gain the title of a Death Meister. A Demon Weapon that consumes 100 souls and reaches the rank of a Three Star Elite is also given this title, but as a Death Weapon. Hence there are two known ranks at the epitome of DWMA:
- Death Scythe
- Death Technician / Death Meister

General Information
Demon Weapons are humans who can take on the form of traditional weapons. People who fall under the race of a Demon Weapon have the ability to transform into weapons that out class what would be considered 'normal' weaponry on Earth0
Autonomous WeaponsAutonomous Weapons are considered the soloist version of a Demon Weapon. Much like Meisters who choose to be a Solo Meister, those Weapons who choose to be Autonomous receive strict testing and critique before they are allowed to be given the title of a Autonomous Weapon. Autonomous Weapons may, much like Solo Meisters, receive biased opinion from their peers.
Much like Soloists it is not often one sees a Autonomous Weapon. Some Weapons retain an autonomous status simply for the purpose of gaining a better partner. However true Autonomous Weapons, are those that work alone, without a meister, and craft their skills.
Transformation Weapon Gene
The Weapon gene, is a unique trait within the genes of a human where genes are affected by the very soul of a Weapon. Due to a Weapon's soul containing fragments of a witch's Soul, humans with this particular alteration gain the ability to become weapons.
Requisites
Humans that display the potential of a Demon Weapon follow these prerequisites:
- Genes within the family has someone who passed on the weapon gene information to their descendants.
- The manifestation of abilities from a pre-pubescent to young adolescent age.

General InformationMages, are simply defined as users of magic. It is a loose term to describe sapient beings that wield, possess, and study the many branches that makes up magic. To be a mage means to also be a researcher. And because there are so many schools of magic with so many fields we will simplify everything into two types in which one can be a mage.
The Two Types of Mages- True Mage
- Dubious Mage
The ConnectionTo be a mage, there must be a connection. What is that connection? I'm talking about Aether. In the past thirty years, since Witches were being re-introduced back on to Earth and more and more other unique races began mingling with humanity, there has been a spark in some humans that cannot be ignored. That spark, was revealed to be a connection that certain humans possessed. Humans that had a connection to mana, and by extension had the power to utilize aether.
To be a meister, you have to have a connection to the Supernatural. Your soul must be capable of utilizing its wavelength in ways that a normal human's couldn't. Now to be a mage, that requires virtually the same thing. You have to have a magical affinity. And it is only then that you are even considered worthy of holding the status of a mage.
Unique FeatsAll Mages have the ability to study any field of magic or multiple fields of magic. It really depends on the individual. The point is, the way that magic is used strictly depends on their own culture and where they are from as well as the way in which magic is practiced.
DWMA's Magi curriculum teaches students that are interested, multiple forms of magic. From rune works to spell casting, to wand using to verbal or nonverbal casting and forwards!
A particular uncommon feat, is the ability to summon a beast or creature, that acts as a familiar. Familiars, are an uncommon practice, even in the magic field. Few mages have familiars, and those that do never can really say how they got their familiar in the first place.
While gaining a familiar isn't entirely common. It is not considered 'special' in the magic field. Simply unique and something of interest. Especially if that familiar, has the ability to talk.
What is a True mage?
True Mages are a type of mage who unlike their counterpart, focus solely on magic instead of a mixture into the supernatural magic. A True Mage, to put it simply, is a person who devotes themselves into the study of many fields in magic or more. The choice on how much one knows, and how many fields they go into varies from person-to-person.
To Be A True MageMAGI is the magical curriculum in which all mages of both types are trained. Being a True Mage, means students study magic, but do not study much of the supernatural that members of the E.A.T curriculum undergo. True mages, study magic, and strictly magic. Their studies involve Mythics, Supernatural and magical artifacts, curses, spells, etc etc.
AffinityThe affinity of a mage is just as important as the affinity of a meister or demon weapon. Mages are best identified by their magical signature. A M.S. is similar to the Soul Signature, the only difference is, magic users are far more capable in picking up magic signatures within an area, than their supernatural counterparts.
A True Mage's affinity, is a powerful affinity. True Mages, have strong magical affinities, but strong magic affinities does not mean a mage will be powerful. It simply means their magic has the potential to become stronger so long as they put in the practice to exercise that magic like any meister exercises their own supernatural talents. This also ties in to the name True Mage's gain for their affinity. Sometimes called a Locked Magic Affinity. This is due to the fact that True Mages commonly do not have an affinity to the supernatural or if they do, their affinities to the supernatural are as weak as a normal human's affinity to either magic or supernatural energy.
It is not un-common for a mage to have an affinity to both supernatural energy and magic, but it is not common for both to be equal in strength. One, always out trumps the other, just as a hybrid born with a strong supernatural connection will out due their magical inheritance if they focus on their supernatural training or vice versa.
Locked AffinityNot all True Mages have locked affinities. Having a locked affinity means your connection to one of the branches of mana is so great, that you have no need to connect to any of the others, thus, your connection to any of the other rivers of mana is cut off entirely by dams and boulders.
True Mages however tend to struggle in their connection to other branches, because True Mages, have powerful affinities to magic that makes it tough in general for them to connect to the Spiritual Energy in the river of Supernatural. This is not to say that a True Mage that struggles to connect to spiritual energy is a powerful mage, it just means their connection to aethar trumps their weak connection to the supernatural.
StrengthsThe feats in which a True Mage and only a True Mage can perform.
- Mythic Understanding: As a True Mage, students in the Magi Curriculum have access to studying the mythics under DWMA's care. This grants them the chance to learn much more about Mythics, than a Dubious Mage could.
- Familiar Summoning:True Mages have the magic reserves to summon familiars. The type of familiar they summon is dependent on the magic they possess, their personality, and their soul.
- Field Understanding: True mages gain the ability to understand or identify multiple forms of magic anomalies. It is a common skill all True mages have and a good one to have when dabbling with magic.
- Unnatural Chain Resonance: With a artifact, Chain Resonance is possible for a true mage. True Mages lack the spiritual affinity that Dubious Mages have to perform normal resonance. Thus they require a catalyst of some sort to make a connection seem normal without causing adverse effects on the party involved.
WeaknessesThe following list will cover the limits a True Mage is possesses.
- Soul Resonance: True Mages, cannot perform Soul Resonance. They lack the ability and affinity to do this due to their magic wavelength disrupting spiritual wavelengths, where a Dubious mage is balanced enough to do so, a True Mage is not.
- Chain Resonance: Performing Chain Resonance in the manner True mages do, can cause adverse effects to stem if the chain resonance occurs for too long.
- Mythic Understanding: As a True Mage, students in the Magi Curriculum have access to studying the mythics under DWMA's care. This grants them the chance to learn much more about Mythics, than a Dubious Mage could.
What is a Dubious mage?
Dubious Mages are mages who focus on one particular field of magic, but also study the works of the supernatural as well.
To Be A Dubious MageDubious mages, study one form of magic from the schools of magic and specialize in both that field and in the supernatural arts. To be a Dubious Mage is to both be a mage, but not be one as well. Unlike their counterpart, Dubious mages do not branch out as much in their field. Instead they alternate between magic and the spiritual.
The Magi Curriculum, teaches students of the Dubious Mage category many things. Dubious mages, learn about mythics, they learn about the basic fields of magic, and learn a little about the supernatural artifacts related to magic. They are taught how to cast spells, study curses but do not have the opportunity to train under multiple fields of magic like True Mages do. Instead they train under one, two, or maybe three fields if they have the potential- then they learn about spiritual energy and how to channel their magical signatures in a way that it can communicate with the soul wavelength of a meister or a weapon.
AffinityDubious mages are mages whose affinity is fluid. Their affinities allow them to manipulate both magic and spiritual energy, but the levels in which a Dubious mage can do this varies greatly. Commonly, all dubous mages have a wavelength that allows them to not only connect with Meisters but also allows them to connect with Weapons. This gives them the ability to do something True Mages cannot, and that is to become Meisters (or even Weapons) themselves.
StrengthsDubious Mages, have a multitude of a Strengths that make them completely different from their True Mage counterpart. The list below explains how.
- Supernatural Magic: Dubious mages, tap into the stream of supernatural magic. It is a stream that takes from both the rivers of Magic and Spiritual Energy. Because of this, Dubious mages have the potential to not only be Meisters and Weapons, but they have the power to perform Soul Resonance and Chain Resonance.
- Soul Resonance: Resonance is not a common feat among mages. Very few mages can perform a resonance successfully. In the Magi Curriculum Dubious Mages of the Omega class are required to know how to perform a successful resonance at least once by the end of their first year.
- Chain Resonance: A feat not even True Mages can perform. Dubious Mages have the ability to perform Chain Resonance because their affinity to the supernatural magic is great enough that it grants them the ability to do so.
WeaknessesThe following list will cover the abilities a Dubious Mage is not capable of achieving.
- Familiar Summoning: Dubious Mages lack the ability to summon a familiar. It is rare for a Dubious Mage to have the ability to have the magic reserves necessary to perform such a feat. And the chances of a Dubious Mage being able of summoning a familiar, is slim if not to none.
- Multiple Field Study: Dubious Mages lack the understanding of knowing multiple fields of magic unless otherwise self-taught (which in of itself is never considered a grand skill). In most cases, a dubious mage only has enough understanding in their own field and lack the necessary understanding of the other fields such as Enchanter or Shaman magic.
- Limited Mythic Understanding:Dubious Mages do not gain the as many opportunities to study mythics like a True Mage does.
