Just as the teacher were about to reach their destination, Ryu's cellphone started ringing. 'Shit shit shit' he thought, as he hurriedly answered the phone and moved further out of earshot of the teachers. "This had better be really damn important" he said sternly as he answered the phone.

"Well hello to you too Cuz. It's always nice to catch a glimpse of your sunny disposition."

Ryu sighed. He knew that voice. It belonged to Yoshiya.

"
What do you want Yoshiya?" Ryu said, his voice dripping with exasperation.

"I just wanted ask how my dear cousin's big first day at Shibusen was going." Even over the phone, Ryu could tell that Yoshiya had a sly smile on his face.

"Really? That's what you called about? To ask about how my day was going?" Ryu's irritation was growing.

"Yes of course. Have you found a technician yet?"

"No I haven't, but I'm still looking. Anyway, Yoshiya I can't talk now. I'm kind of in the middle of something."

"Fair enough, but you have to call me back later"

"Alright fine. See you later"

"Bye"

Ryu hung up. 'Damn'. That had cost him time. He hurried back to the room the teachers had entered and prayed he wasn't too late.

Ah, he couldn't waste much time. Shrugging off the view of the sights, Kayden quickly went to the orientation where everyone was intended to be. He figured he had to explain his case to someone, an adult, a teacher. This was, after all, their chance to turn him away for being weird. So, the raven went to approach the teacher closest to him, taking a breath before starting his explanation; "Excuse me?"

They turned their head to look at him, eyebrows raising in mild question. "Yes? What can I do for you?" Before he had a chance to respond, they smiled goofily. "You're not getting cold feet already, right?"

Kayden shook his head, finding that he couldn't be bothered to return the expression as naturally as this adult, but still tried to be polite. "I don't know where I'm supposed to go," he explained, lifting his hands slightly to exaggerate, "This is for NEW, right?"

"Mhm," they nodded, arms crossing in front of their chest, "That is correct; where's your partner?"

"Er... You're looking at him."

The expression that served as a response portrayed how much this teacher thought Kayden was jerking his chain. "You need a partner for NEW, kid."

The weapon, in turn, frowned lightly, "I heard, and I'm telling you that I am the partner.."

"You're joking, right?"

"Not particularly."

He knew that no one would believe him so easily, but, hey, it was worth a shot, right? Kayden flicked his unruly bangs out of his eyes for a second - as they naturally fell back into place - before saying; "Is there anyway I can figure out where a misfit like me is supposed to go?"

Of all answers he was expecting - including a rather straight forward "Not here" - the response that Kayden received was definitely not on the list:

"Well, then you should see Lord Death."

"Hah?"

So, he was simply pointed in a particular direction - one that happened to lead to a door unique to all the rest at the end of a hall. Unsure of the exact reason why (except maybe the fact that he was basically at Lord Death's doorstep), Kayden swallowed anxiously. Was there a doorbell? Did he just walk in? Deciding against barging into the all-powerful Death's chambers, the weapon knocked on the door.

((whoops, felt unnecessarily long xD ))

Hoshiko left with Ibuki to sign up for the new NEW that Lord Death made. Admittedly, he was a little disappointed that he wasn't good enough for eat, but NEW is "better" than NOT at least. Luckily he had already found himself a good partner. He quietly walked beside Ibuki as they went to sign up.

Hoshiko walked without talking to Ibuki. He had his hands in his pockets and looked semi downward. He didn't have any issues with her. He was just in thought. A whole different program, NEW, separate from EAT but similar. He would be helping the world by doing missions with another pair. He didn't mind, as long as he was helping mankind. A part of him wanted to be in EAT though. His father Blackstar had been in EAT and Hoshiko wanted to surpass him. It was a life goal. Even though EAT and NEW were similar, there was still that part of him that wanted to be in EAT. He shrugged off the thought, continuing forward.

Ibuki saw Hoshiko walking quietly beside herself. She new he was just a quiet person, it didn't take long to figure that out. She just had a little feeling he was thinking, which is probably why he was a quiet person. At least that was her theory. She decided to ask. They were partners after all. They would be needing to have great communication and a great relationship.

"So, what do you think about the NEW program?"(Ibuki)

Hoshiko looked up but still faced forward with his hands in his pockets. "I like the idea. I'm glad Death created it."(Hoshiko)

"Is that what you were thinking?"(Ibuki)

"What makes you think I was thinking?"(Hoshiko)

"What else would you be doing while walking quietly? Plus, I had a feeling."(Ibuki)

"Hm. Well, I was thinking about EAT. Something you will come to know more about me is that I am ambitious and competitive. Mom my mother says I get it from my father. He is a great meister and I would like to surpass him as a weapon with my a partner of my own. He was in EAT when he attended the DWMA. Naturally, I want to someday be in EAT. I know that EAT and NEW are similar but still, it will constantly be a recurring thought."(Hoshiko)

"I see....well, don't worry! That will change!" Ibuki had her mask down and smiled brightly.(Ibuki)

Hoshiko looked over to her. "I don't think it will happen."

"It will soon Hoshiko."(Ibuki)

Hoshiko chuckled to himself. That big grin on her face. She just radiated positivity. It was different from his own personality but Hoshiko liked that. "We'll see."

It was William's third year at Shibusen and he had very little to show for it. His sister on the other-hand, graduated at the top of her class. Funny how the first-born children get most of the attention. As he thought about his progress (or lack of) in school his hazel eyes frantically danced about the many steps that led up to the main campus of the DWMA. "It never gets easier." he murmured to himself, peering up only to see a handful of students arrive at the very top steps, a couple of them looking back down as if they were accomplishing themselves for climbing the stairs. He gave a light roll of his shoulders and began his effortless trek up the stairs, having done it so many times prior.

Eventually, he'd managed to reach the top of the stairs. If William was winded he was showing no signs of it. He marched inside the campus, quietly noting how the place had changed little over the two years he previously attended. Upon arriving at the front office he let out a mildly audible groan of frustration. For some peculiar reason the line stretched long out the door and into the halls. This meant only one thing: He was late as always.

"Excuse me, coming through.." He huffed as he pushed himself to the front of the line, his small frame allowing him to slip by most people rather-unnoticed. He flashed a large grin towards the receptionist, "The name is William Reed, it's my third year here and I'd like to be partnered up with a weapon. Oh, and I'd also like to hopefully see some action instead of just you know.. Just staring at a book and reading all day. I heard that there's a NEW Program for students? Sign me up for that, please."

Ryu's heart sank as he pressed his ear to the door of the room into which the teachers had gone. They had finished the debriefing quicker than he expected apparently, And now they were talking about classroom supply budgets or some shit like that. Ryu hadn't really listened to what they were saying after he realized he was too late. "Son of a bitch" he sighed, walking back up to the second level. "What to do... what... to... do..." he said to himself absentmindedly. "I guess I'll go back to the balcony again. It seems as good a place as any. Plus, I'll be able to size up the students who are late." he checked his watch "Although someone who would be this late better have a good reason, or else they'll get an earful from Ms. Mjolnir" He smiled, already starting to get over missing the debriefing. "I wonder if anyone's ever actually called her that" He chuckled to himself and kept walking. When he finally stepped back out onto the balcony, he walked back over to the railing, although not quite in the same spot as before. He took a deep breath, savoring the freshness of the air. "Ahhhh, you really don't find air this clean in any big city other than this one."

Shibe was walking around the halls of DWMA. She sighed and realised that she was lost. "Again? Damn....this place is way too big for me..." She sighed and looked out a window. Shibe realised that she was on the second floor of the school. She shrugged and kept walking around, her tie for the suit she was wearing tucked into her shirt. "Don't want to seem too fancy..even though I'm not..." She muttered and wasn't paying attention to where she was walking. With a tug, she pulled her tie off and unbuttoned a few of the top buttons on her shirt. She sighed and threw the cheap tie away.

Bard listened, staring blankly at Death as he gave the speech about NEW. Here he was, a second year, and so far still no one knew his name. Hell, most people didn't know he even existed. Oddly enough, he was pretty okay with that. He made passing marks, he did average, he didn't stand out, he was so utterly average that he could have been replaced by anyone.

Yet, he was fine with that. He was in the crowd of students now chattering and teaming up excitedly, all getting ready to join NEW. But not him. He was fine with not having anything to do with it. It definitely helped that no one sought him out or asked to team up. He doubted anyone even knew he existed in the room. Which was perfect for him. He started making his way out, a blank expression on his face.

He watched the students as many of them went to sign up, two by two. Some of them even signed up solo and were randomly matched with others. He nodded at this, it was to be expected. He continued walking down the hallway as he realized something that finally bothered him. Everyone was signing up.. if everyone was signing up for this or any other program, then it would become strange to not be in a group. This would mean that he would be odd. This meant that he would draw attention. This would mean he would stick out. That was bad.

He then promptly did a one eighty, turning around and walking back towards the line for registration, looking for anyone who might be okay with signing up with him and hopefully be perfectly fine with just being average. In truth, he wasn't even sure how he would do with a weapon to try and defeat corrupted souls. He just needed to blend in a bit longer and maybe help some people doing so. Yep, that sounded right. He'd definitely help people and have them take all the credit. No doubt about it. Then everyone would marvel at the wonderful weapon and he would be alright. It was perfect.

Ryu continued to look out over the balcony as he listened to the students chattering in the hallway behind him. "NEW huh? I guess it could be interesting." he turned back to the hallway and walks back inside. 'Man how am I supposed to find a partner? I missed the damn orientation' he thought as he wandered the halls aimlessly 'Am I just supposed to run around asking "Do you have a partner?" like I'm conducting a goddamn survey?' He sighed, tuning out the chatter of the crowds of students around him. 'If so, fuck that. I'm not a census taker'. Absorbed in his thoughts, he accidentally bumped into a girl who was in the hallway (@SenpaiMagnum) "Oops sorry about that."

Shibe was lost in her thoughts, then felt someone bump into her. "Oh, uh..it's fine..hey..have you heard about NEW? Wait, of course you have..probably..sorry...uh..I'm Shibe, a meister, unpaired...that is how people introduce themselves here right?" Shibe rambled nervously. She was homeschooled so she never had many friends or people skills. Fighting, yes. Studying, yes. People?, no.

@Rhodus

((sorry im slightly lost cause last time I posted death was talking to the students and telling them they were NEW students so..))

Tori stopped talking to Rayo @Leone for the rest of the time lord death continued to talk. When lord death noticed that he and the meister were talking over him, Tori quickly looked away. He rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly, feeling a little bad for talking over the leader of the school. Tori felt uncomfortable for the rest of the lecture. 'Just greattttttt. Late for school and talking over him? Jeez, you must have made the best impression on him. Good work you big dummy.' He thought. He made a little sigh. 'well, nothing I can really do about it now.' When the lecture was finally over, Tori looked back over to Rayo. "are you really sure you want to do this? I'd really hate to hurt someone as cu-" he caught himself and quickly went quiet. 'Why was I gonna say that? I mean, I don't hate how he looks but still.' the silver haired weapon chewed his lip a little and just restated himself simply. "are you sure you want to do this? We might get in trouble for it.." he said quietly to the meister. While it wasn't necessarily a lie, getting in trouble wasn't really the main reason he was having second thoughts about fighting the meister outside of school. "I'm...not chickening out of this so...don't think I am... just....er... I wanted to give you a second chance if you changed your mind." Tori said. Alright. Maybe that last part was a lie...but it's not a big deal. If Rayo would want to fight him, then that would still be ok. That's what they both agreed to after all, and to be fair, it was a decent way of finding the other's strength.

Lord Death was puzzling over his work when a student requested to come into the death room. He glanced up, wondering what the disturbance could be about when he saw Kayden. Giving the boy a small wave with his huge, white hands, he said in his strangely cheerful voice: "And what can I do for you today, Kayden?"

"Lord Death.." he greeted, taking the time to give the god a small, respectful bow before coming closer. "I'll get straight to the point," the raven stated, magenta eyes fixated on Lord Death, "I want to join NEW; wouldn't how I am be suitable for this? Can't I go without an actual meister?" He knew the requirements, it was just hard to simply accept it and move on.

Lord Death just looked at Kayden for a long moment, large hand reaching up to rub at his face as he thought. "Your situation is special..." He muttered, "Very special." He turned away from Kayden a moment, asking a rather simple question of the boy: "Do you not want a meister?"

He frowned lightly, gaze lowering a bit thoughtfully. "It's not that specifically," Kayden replied, "I already know what I am capable of, I've fought in such a way for four years; though I'm not trying to give an excuse, to change to a full weapon, wielded by someone strange, is like breaking a habit you're born with." It wasn't like he hated the idea of a meister, he just...didn't want to for the sole reason of. . .

"I can't succeed, I cannot fight - I'll have no control if we were to fail."

Kayden hated failure; hell, he even despised it. But only because he was afraid.

The raven's eyes traveled to his own palm, brows furrowing as he clenched his fist, almost wishing he could hold his cloth-wrapped hilt to help him think clearly; it was a strange method of thinking, huh?

"I'll give you a deal. If you can beat me in a duel with my weapon Spirit, then I will accept you into NEW and you will be your own partner. You will still have to go on missions with other pairs though, as is also part of the NEW program." Death said after a long moment, gesturing for Spirit to change into his scythe form. The red haired man glanced at the kid then back at Death and shrugged, changing his form and landing neatly into Death's hands.

"Are you ready?" He asked, nimbly moving the scythe between his hands as he faced Kayden.

He wasn't an idiot; he knew he would fail, and he knew that there was no way he would stand a chance against Lord Death. However, he was a difficult teenager and saw an opportunity in this.

Extending a hand to the side, his icy-silver blade with the torn white wrap formed within his grasp with a lightly resonate shing. Kayden spun the sword once, then brought it to eye-level; he held it perfectly perpendicular to his body, the glinting blade directed at the Shinigami. Taking a calming breath, the raven gave a small nod. "Yes, Lord Death," he answered, "I'm ready."

He didn't know when he'd get a chance like this again, so he had to take at least some advantage of it while he still could.

"Good."

Lord Death gave the boy a small bow before jumping back so that Kayden was at a better distance to swipe with his Scythe. Every movement and position was closely calculated as Death rushed at Kayden, the dangerous metal of his scythe blurred to invisibility as it came at Kayden. As the Shinigami closed in, his blade slowed down very obviously and he switched the blade to the back to tap at the boy's side. He continued to attack in such a way, giving Kayden a chance to block, parry, and attack himself.

Every time Death would attack, he would not injure Kayden. It was obvious the man could crush the boy, but he was playing to make the boy work and giving him a true chance to win.

The weapon, however, only moved with small steps or dramatic leaps; every swing to the side was blocked by a vertically held sword, often knocked up and away and allowing Kayden the chance to move aside to a better angle. He tried many times to strike and would be met by the scythe, resulting more often than not in a parry. He tried a singular aimed jab at the upper part of Lord Death's body, knowing full well that he was intended for slashing; his intention was to stun, or distract for the smallest moment so that he could redirect himself and go for a slash.

All the while Kayden kept his composure, hardly betraying anything he felt or thought as he moved to attack the god. At one point, however, he removed one of his hands from the hilt, using it more for stability as he sent a flurry of one-handed slashes, attempting to advance forward and push Lord Death back.

Death wasn't impressed, but neither was he disappointed. Kayden's skill level was just about where the Shinigami had placed him-perhaps a little better than he had previously suspected. His posture, though not perfect, was good. His attacks had strength behind them. Death actually began to wonder... Kayden probably could pass for an EAT student- though he would certainly be the weakest among them. Even so, Death wanted him to be in the NEW group- he'd be a strong asset when the time came for NEW's use to truly become known.

Something that impressed Lord Death the most is that Kayden's face was not easily read-of course he could see how the boy was doing just be peering into his soul- which had a very interesting appearance considering the way it was torn. Regardless, the boy was impressive and as he moved to create a minor distraction Death allowed himself to be pulled into the trick. When the boy's attacks became quicker, and his opinion a little on the desperate side, Death felt himself begin to take steps back to continue blocking at the speed he had set for himself. When he had reached the edge of the platform, he released Spirit who returned to his human form, and put his hands in the air in a 'you got me' defeat.

"Alright Kayden, take this note and give it to the office, then sign up for NEW." The Shinigami said- and you could almost swear he was smiling.

He blinked, then blinked again.

"...Huh?"

Of all things, he hadn't expected that to be the end result or what Lord Death would say. With the katana becoming encased in a glow before vanishing away, Kayden extended the hand outward, stepping closer to the god. "Oh, um, thank you, sir.."

Armed with a note, the raven thanked Lord Death for sparing his time, for even fighting with him, then was on his way to the office, still a little stunned by the outcome. There was still, of course, something of a line at the front office, so he had to wait for a small bit. During his wait, Kayden ended up unfolding the note to look at it:

'You're a good fighter. You still need a meister. You'll be assigned to William.'

"Hah?!" The weapon's eyes widened as he read the note, expecting it to say one thing but finding it said another. It wasn't that he was angry; it was more that the note was so simple without much explanation. Of course, that was very Lord Death-like, wasn't it?

Oh well, he wasn't going to complain any further, handing in the note to the front office and telling the receptionist that he wanted to join NEW.

Kylei Crysten

What was all this talk about NEW? Was it a trend they never knew about? A slang word? What was it?! She already got the information and labels done with the pervert, axe, and corpse, and now... It began again! What did they miss? Hopefully nothing important!!! The blonde noticed someone staring at her bloody shoe and she frowned at him. Or more like gave a weird look that gives you the feeling you know that was your blood, but it wasn't because you weren't wounded and you feel guilty about criticism... That face was abnormal. Crysten glanced at the axe and wondered why it never made a noise, nor talked. Was it mute? Did want to keep silence until questioning? Maybe! She wondered if she had to follow Eyepatch and Dready Locks the perv and watch them interrogate the weapon, she didn't think she had to. Nose Hair-sama could go if he wanted to, but Ms. Eyepatch was gonna have a talk with them later on. All the blonde teen wanted to do was find out was NEW was.

"Hey! You!" Kylei snapped her fingers at a student nearby. "What is NEW? Really! I just got back from a long day of unexplained labels and names... And now it's happening again!!! I don't know what NEW is!!! What is it?! I bet everyone here knows except for me! And the strawberry here!!! IT'S NOT A SECRET!!! Or is it?!?! Gaaahhh.... TELL ME..." The student chuckled and turned away while pointing a finger to a lady holding flyers. What kind of shitty answer was that?! Blondie cringed at him and faced the lady with flyers. The lady cautiously smiled and explained that NEW was a program, similar to EAT, but the pair will be paired with another pair. Pft, pears. Well, how interesting. Sounds fun! If they joined the program... She would be on her way to become a manga hero!!! AHAHAHA!!! YESSS!!! Crysten thanked her with a thumbs up and leaned against the wall to catch a breath from the ache in her muscles. Time would heal, otherwise rest. A smile grew and bloomed onto her face.

"Nose Hair-sama... Wanna join the NEW program? Kehe~! 'Cause I want to!!! Don't you?! Right?!?! Of course you do!!! Ahahahaha!!! It's final!!! We're gonna make my dream happen!!!" She grinned and stared at the axe trapped in Dreadlock's chains. Her eyes gleamed with anxiety and curiosity.

Ryu smiled as the girl hurriedly introduced herself. "You okay hun? I didn't knock any of your screws loose did I?" He laughs "I'm just kidding. Name's Ryu Haynes. Nice to meet you Shibe. As it so happens, I am a weapon, and I too am unpaired. What are the odds?" He said, examining the girl. She seemed as good a partner as any. Maybe this could work. @SenpaiMagnum

Find a new meister huh? Last time it didn't work too well... Trajan was quietly playing guitar, he wasn't really paying attention to what was going on around him. Why can't I just fight on my own, like that chainy guy. besides, nobody really want armor as a weapon, I mean come on it's not flashy, it's completely defensive. They see it as the best offense is the best defense, not the other way around. Finding anyone who would ever want someone like me will take forever.

One of the strings snaps.
"Shit! Now I have to go scrounge up a new one," He walks down the hall, keeping an eye out for something else to occupy his time.

He had gotten clearance, learning that this William character had only just got checked in - or he was still checking in, who knew.

Kayden sighed, hanging his head with only a minor touch of annoyance. "Now I gotta go on a quest, huh?" he wondered aloud, a sarcastic tone in his tenor voice, "Where's Waldo is no more, now it's Where's William.. Finding William?" For some unknown reason, he imagined a clownfish with Waldo's face on it, and sort of cringed at the monstrosity.

In any case, the weapon had to find this meister fellow. Stepping out of the line, he brought his hands to his mouth; "Meister William!" he called, doing it only once before he naturally fell invisible in the cluttered crowd.

Weirdness avoided. Success.

Kayden wandered a bit, staying in the general area of his starting shout; just in case this William guy popped up. Whether he did or didn't wasn't much of an issue - well, not unless another weapon showed up.

Even if that happened, he could try going to Lord Death again and acquire permissions to roll solo. However, at the thought of more frequent splitting, his soul gave a lurch that he physically felt, scowling and furrowing his brows as he gripped his tank top.

"Maybe I really should be more persistent about this.." the raven muttered a bit bitterly. His hands raised once more, cupping his mouth for volume's sake. Taking a breath, he opened his mouth and--

(Must love all these notifications, eh? Sorry if you're busy >.<)

Alex simply smiled slightly from the last question Kagoma asked. "Hey, don't worry Yuuki; I'm sure they would be fine with you just singing." He replied warmly, "I mean... You are a great singer, after all." He was almost going to say "at least to me", but ultimately decided not to for the time being. Alex had heard Kagoma singing many times, so he knew she was talented at it. She was very talented with the guitar as well, but with her hand being injured and all... that probably wasn't going to happen tonight. "I don't think it is very late yet, so you are probably good for now." Alex stated, referencing the time.

Soon after he had finished registering William began to aimlessly wander about the halls of Shibusen, eventually becoming unaware of his surroundings. Constant chatter from the other students around him filled up his ears and clouded his thoughts. Suddenly, out of the blue he heard his name being shouted from across campus, or at least it seemed to came from that direction. He dashed to the source, or at least what seemed to be the source. Eventually, he had made it to where he had assumed the voice had come from, but to no avail there was not a person of interest in sight.

Then, out of the corner of his eye he spotted a dark-haired male, no taller than himself. His hands cupped around his mouth as if preparing to shout again.

"No need to shout, I'm right here." He mumbled, giving a small nod towards Kayden.

Magenta eyes flickered to the male, taking a moment to look him over as Kayden's hands lowered. "Ah.." he said simply, turning his body so that he could face the other completely.

Kayden himself gave a small nod, extending a very faintly scarred hand out. "I'm Kayden Lewis - Weapon," the raven introduced, "It's nice to meet you, William." He figured it was not exactly ideal to spend time with small chat so he instantly went on to explain himself; "Lord Death assigned me to you it would seem.."

But at the same time, Kayden didn't feel right just...forcing his blade into William's hand-

"Er... I mean, that is if you don't have any problems with that.."

He was bad at this.

@Imaginative Code

William stared at the individual as he turned, at least he had some form of decency. Then came the handshake. His eyes lazily drifted between his out-stretched hand and the being it was attached to. "I'm Kayden Lewis - Weapon, It's nice to meet you, William."

To say the least, William was uncomfortable with someone he had never met knowing his name. He completely disregarded the handshake, instead deciding to slide his hands into his pockets, his gaze still glued onto Kayden's hand.

"Lord Death assigned me to you it would seem..Er... I mean, that is if you don't have any problems with that.."

Finally, Will had broken his silence, his hazel eyes shifting to stare cautiously back at Kayden. "What kind of weapon are you?"

@Hoki

What kind of weapon. . .

Not once had he hesitated when telling someone what weapon he was, but now he did. For once he was a bit cautious of rejection; even though there was a backup solution.

With his handshake rejected, Kayden let his hand retreat to his short-sleeved jacket's pockets, his expression unchanged. He took a moment to flip his hair out of his eyes. "A katana," the raven responded before the unruly, long bangs fell back into place.

The walls felt cramped suddenly, as if the absurd numbers of meisters and weapons alike were physically shrinking the room.

@Imaginative Code

"A katana." Will said simply, repeating exactly what Kayden had just previously said, almost as if trying to mimic him. In all honesty, William cared little for the katana as a weapon. He was American-Canadian after-all so no one in his family ever held one, nor transformed into one.

He lightly shrugged with his shoulders and quickly shifted on his heel, turning his back to Kayden. With that he began to simply walk off in the opposite direction with a slow-pace. He then stopped and glanced over his shoulder, ushering for Kayden to follow. "Come on, you can't exactly turn into a two-and-a-half-foot-blade in a hallway, now can you?"

@Hoki

When William had turned away, the raven could've sworn that his heart - hell, even his soul - dropped to his shoes. It was, however, reeled back up by a thin line when the meister had gestured for him to follow.

With a light sigh, Kayden gave a nod and followed after him, steps faintly clicking against the floor.

Ah, he could almost feel his soul swell in anticipation; it had been many years since he last fully transformed, and while he did fear the possibilities of failure, the odds seemed to thankfully be in his favor.

As he walked, the raven's fists clenched slightly in his pockets.

@Imaginative Code

Eventually the duo made their way out of the clustered halls of Shibusen and to the front of the school. The sun beamed down with it's large grin as Will stared down the long descent of stairs for what seemed like forever, taking in a deep breath of air. He then anxiously turned to Kayden, quietly murmuring some words to himself before smiling. "Whenever you're ready, I suppose?"

@Hoki

It was then that a more recognizable sign of emotion spread to his face; a smirk.

"Be ready to catch me then, alright?" Kayden asked as his body became enveloped in light. Then, the form broke down into a more linear shape, launching into the bright sky above.

With the heavy, resonant shing, much like that of clashing swords, the katana dropped from the air; the dark steel of the blade glinted and the lighter ice of the edge seemed to glow in the light. The torn wraps of the hilt waved in the draft of the fall, similar to those of a kite.

The sword veered its path almost like a boomerang, ultimately flinging itself hilt first towards William.

All the while Kayden's smirk had turned to a grin; he had almost completely forgotten the exhilarating rush of turning into the sword.
