Name: Orion Parkinsted

Backstory: For Orion Parkinsted, everything in his life was average. He came from a simple background. Both parents were loving and lived in the household, there was always food on the plate, and he grew up in a relatively middle-class neighborhood. His education wasn't lacking either, having graduated with two certificates: one in the artistic faculty department, and another in the study of swordsmanship. All of this was great, but, when he graduated, he awoke to find himself in a peculiar situation.

He wasn't particularly wealthy, even after having dedicated so many years to his education.
He lacked any large social group, even though he tried his best to talk to as many people as he was allowed.
There wasn't any chance of him escaping this hole of mundanity he dug himself in.

So when the dungeons began to open, and the apocalypse was seemingly falling onto humanity, he leaped and yelled in both horror and ecstasy. For the opportunity to prove himself, to change his life, and to make a name for the Parkinstead family, forever unearthing it from the background.

He took back the sword he once hung upon the wall in his small family home, he reequipped his sparring gear, and he resumed the training he stopped a little over a year ago in an attempt to better himself, to become worthy of challenging the dungeons.

Except none of this happened. Not the dungeons, those certainly appeared. But he becoming worthy of challenging them. In spite of his rough training, he seemed to have hit a 'wall'. He could feel something inside of him simply begging to be released, screaming for him to tap into it, but no matter what he did, it would not come to him. Upset and utterly frustrated, he abandoned all hope...

That was, until, he encountered a certain shop...

Backstory:
A son of a rather wealthy father, CEO of their own company. Al decided to strike it out big on his own, he started off with many plans and expectations of garnering his own wealth.
All failed within a blink of an eye.
Merchant? Failed
Blacksmith? Failed
Animal tamer? Failed
Dungeon Helper? Miserably failed. (He wasn't capable of holding all the items)
At least he could say that he tried-and failed each time at something new. Though money doesn't come in droves, and Al's stubbornness to not ask for help from his own father set Al down a path of stagnation. These stupid Dungeons..
All they ever did was cause trouble, and for Al? A lot of potential money to be gained. If only he had the ability to conquer one of them, maybe then he would be capable of finding worth in his mundane existence. The only thing anyone ever complimented him on was his cooking... But if there was ever a chance, even a smidgen of one where he had some sort of deep billowing power he could unlock that was inside of him? Well he'd give anything to do so.

Until one day, he found a peculiar shop..

Backstory: Araysh was born with a severe illness that left him bedridden most of his early life. At first, his family did not have a problem supporting his medical bills; however, their funds ran out over time. Araysh was lucky that he was able to be cured before it was too late but his family was left with nothing except the love between them. With a smile plastered on his face, Araysh went out into the world with a true appreciation for his life and all around it.

For the majority of Araysh's first few years in school, he focused on experiencing all that he had missed, so he was perceived as a tad bit strange. However, after he hit puberty he began to exercise a lot more. Araysh came into his looks and would socialize with anyone and everyone. With good looks and a charming personality he became incredibly popular, then a neighborhood celebrity, and with the assistance of his friends, he rose through the ranks of social media influencers. Just based on his looks and his charming personality he was able to build a brand for himself. Araysh loved fame more than anything unless it was compared to his parents, whom he showered with gifts, trips, money, and anything he could think of. Although being an influencer was great money, being a Hunter would bless him with greater wealth. As soon as Araysh was allowed he went to awaken. In the back of his head, he was beyond excited of the level of fame he would reach and the gifts he could shower his parents with.

Araysh's world came crumbling down as he was trapped in the E rank, cursed to never evolve beyond that. No matter how much he trained he couldn't bring forth the power sleeping inside...

Searching for a way breakthrough, he stumbled across a peculiar shop...

Backstory: Bronx had spent a lot of his life obsessed with adventure. He kind of had to. He found his life back home boring. No matter what he tried to do nothing held his interest for too long because everything had already been done and been mapped out. I mean sure you could make a new discovery but it still offered a scientific explanation. He wanted to find a new place to explore that couldn’t be predicted. The only solace he found was in the adventure genre that he read or played or watched and learning sleight of hand magic. When he learned about the dungeons and how they appeared with monsters that shouldn’t be real, he decided what he wanted to do. After getting his high school diploma, if he didn’t his family would never let him hear the end of it, then, he’d go to a dungeon. It wouldn’t matter if he whether he became rich or famous from it, he'd do it because it was something that no one in his family had ever done before. He’d do it to live out his dream and be an adventurer. Even after a year of dungeon exploring, he hasn't lost his love of exploring. However people who've gotten to know him have realized that he tends to not to stick around with one group for too long. That he doesn't really like to look inward.

Hoping to find gear that'll let him go further in...he makes his way to a shop he's never noticed before

Backstory:
Even in the days of his parent's youth, the seaside district of Saint Sebastian was a rough neighborhood. Now, in Rourke's adulthood, it was known as The Decline. The Decline shared its name with the eponymous dungeon, which sat by the sea at the bottom of the long sloping roads that gave it its name. The Decline had never quite recovered from the days of his parent's short lives. It had been poor. Then, it had died amongst the blood of monsters and man. Like a feral dog in a warzone, no one cared to save it, though some thought to feast upon it.
Decades later, it had one of the highest rates of roaming monsters worldwide compared to its relative urban population density. Places that had similar numbers were usually in the middle of nowhere.
Rourke couldn't remember his parents, their faces, or their voices. Sometimes, he likes to imagine what it'd be like to have had them. Though he never quite knew them, they've still influenced him greatly.
The Decline was not of the first wave of dungeons. It was of the second wave, after humanity had weakened from the first but before the Awakening. It turned into ruins, persisting until he had grown enough to remember. Rubble still lined some streets, and some buildings were halfway to collapsing, but by the time he had reached puberty, the government started rolling out in force. Aid was rendered, amenities mostly fixed, and school even resumed. He had his first class at 13, him and a classroom of the city's "lost generation."
It hadn't changed much for him. Rourke went only for the free breakfast and lunch, but school merely prevented him from doing what he really wanted to do. Every day after school, he went hunting.
Monsters nested in the blocks furthest down The Decline, and the government, though able to render aid, wasn't recovered enough to police it or hire awakened to clear it. The Awakened only came to go into the dungeon, never to help the surrounding areas. After all, the residents of The Decline had nothing to offer. Going to the dungeon was merely the soundest option.
Rourke would never forget his first kill. Often, weaker or more cunning monsters left the dungeon to roam the abandoned city blocks surrounding it. Of these, the common goblin was the most numerous. It was when Rourke was still an urchin, scavenging and moving between shadows in the network of collapsed architecture that made up his early years.
He had been living in a tiny church, the smallest church in Saint Seb. It had been abandoned for years by man and God alike. At the time, he had recently discovered a stash of dog food and had brought it back to his little hideout.
The food wasn't kibble either. It was some gourmet stew stuffed in a can. It had been the first time in his life he had ever eaten so well. One day, he returned to a skinny little goblin gorging on his stash. The goblin was starved, with more bone than flesh.
Though he knows he killed the creature, Rourke cannot remember how he did it, just that he ended up eating the last of the dog food with the blood still on his hands. He was barely ten years of age.

Ever since, Rourke has not given up monster hunting, not even for a day.
