The apocalypse will be televised
In one moment half of earth's population was killed by an invading alien force. They came to mine the minerals of the planet. These aliens gave humans a choice they can either stay and live on the slowly dying planet or enter a dungeon and make it to the end of the 18th floor. The one who makes it will be given lordship of Earth and be able to restore it if they so wish.
Those curious, desperate, insane, or just had nothing left entered the dungeon
Now the galaxy watches it's favorite past time as humans traverse the horrors of the dungeon. Who if anyone will survive, who will the audience favorites only one way to find out
