Way ahead of you, buddy - I'm currently in my Private Workshop working on one. Ack damn sorry. Did not realise WIP was against the rules. My bad. Alternatively - if I finish all of my character except for the dice rolls, would I be allowed to post that? (My cat is asleep on my dice and I prefer to roll physically, given the chance).Detective Rascal] you can just use your private workshop and work on your profiles till your done, so you don't have to break one of the rules. I do it all the time for big profiles that take me some time to fill in.
But the log is pretty~~ And... it's coding sadly overlaps with the side=left coding <_< urgh.Detective Rascal] , you don't need to put in the actual log of the dice roll into the profile, just the score of what you got.
Wait what? Oh right - over it. I was about to be all "You can totes put a progress bar within the side code". Yea - very pretty but not the most practical of codes, sadly.Detective Rascal] , you have no idea how much the side code annoys me. I love it, but I can't put any progress bars next to it because it just glitches over it. If it didn't glitch out, all my bars would be there.
I will have a dice log thread up soon though, so once that is up you can throw your logs in there if you want.
Yeah the problem I find with the 'Location' is that people can set it to... whatever. I mean I've only looked at a few people's profiles so far (maybe 4 or 5?) but none of them had their actual Location. So none were actually useful in determining when/where they where. Having location as a drop-down menu or having a separate timezone option seems helpful. I don't know if XenFero (I think is who hosts?) has that kind of capability, though.Pine said:@JayeMmmmm, where are you thinking this would go, exactly?
I guess right now the best substitute we have is the "location" thing we have for our profiles, and people can choose whether or not they want to share their location there.
I don't think too many people are willing to give out their location, and really, I can't blame them.Jaye said:Yeah the problem I find with the 'Location' is that people can set it to... whatever. Yeah, that security is why I only really put down 'Australia'. It's practical for the most part (despite... that technically covering about 3 timezones?) But yeah - no one even puts down a vague timezone. Jut knowing someones country is usually enough. Hm... yeah maybe I'll put it in as a suggestion.Pine said:I don't think too many people are willing to give out their location, and really, I can't blame them.
At this point, I'll tell people where I live if they ask, but I'm still not 100% comfortable when I tell people I don't know that well (and may just be vague or troll them out of me having to respond).
I think putting a timezone in the information tab on a profile would be best, but yeah, I'm not entirely sure how plausible that would be with XenForo.
You could always put it up as a suggestion if you'd like?
I'd happily share my timezone, because that's a lot more practical.
