Dual-Wield

If I were to dual-wield two Soulsteel Short Daiklaves, would I get a +8 on all my accuracy checks? I'm trying to justify dual-wielding but I just can't find enough support for it in any resource aside from the fact that some of the Accuracy/Defense/Hearthstone bonuses seem to stack. Iron Whirlwind Attack (or the Mirror) seems to trump any argument based on the Rate increase unless you are a low Dexterity character (and who would make a character that was doing any physical fighting at all with a Dexterity of less than 4?).

No, the accuracy bonuses don't stack. Its effectively just more rate. It can be useful if you don't have access to IWA or similar, and it lets you have the option of laying out a bunch of attacks without the mote cost. Sometimes worth it, often not.

The only character I've run that dual wielded was an infernal because their extra action charms have harder limits, and largely for character reasons. To be fair though, he is also dual wielding reaper diaklaves so it does get him another HS socket. (Aside from dual wielding martial arts styles that is)

I never had the urge to duel wield in Exalted and I do not know why.

But now that you mention it . . . I might look into it.

The way to make the best use of dual wielding is indeed increasing rate, but not only that, dual wield is much more effective when you have a specialized offense and defense weapon, that way you take advantage of the high accuracy for offense with one weapon, and the high defense value for your parry DV with the other one.

Except that's an illegal combo, because iirc, the Serpent-Sting-Staff is a two handed weapon.

Not in the 2e main rules, nor the 2.5 Errata. It does not have the '2' tag.

I find it very weird to be able to wield a seven-sectioned staff with one hand o__o Someone really should've caught that

What if you're, like, a lunar or spirit or something, and you have like 27 hands?
The Exalted Main Rule Book has the Extra Limbs Abomination mutation:

Multiple arms are identical in Strength and Dexterity to the original set, and the character may flurry with them. When a character splits her dice pool, compute the penalties then reduce them all by one die per set. Minimum penalty is one die.
