Dreams of the Second Age

lol

BTW, @Varna and @Crocodile, any idea on when you guys will have characters submitted? Do you think that we can be up and running by this weekend?

Don't worry JayTee, while I did not comment here. A family member noted my chuckles. Contrasting yes. But come on, First Age Solars~ They had AI (IAs) too. xD

Honestly, the name was temporarily and meant to be a joke, I changed it to something more lore friendly. Thank you, though xD

So now I have to go back and change all of my notes about how Bob from IT is going to be saving the world! How rude! lol

Yeah, I've just had a slight interruption with some personal life stuff. I should have a sheet for review tonight or tomorrow when I get time to focus on it.

Ah. I went back to look at the name, and was looking at Tulos, not Bob. Yes, it did make me smile. But, if you are truly going to be from IT, you should have an Indian name.
Ok, that was funny, but just a little bit racist.
You mean Varangian, surely.

I do reality support
"Have you tried casting Infinite Catalepsis Macrame and dispelling it again?"

On the subject of beastman breeding and stuff. There apparently isn't a quick way to do that is there? Solistrae has a lot of years to go in that case. Oo

1. Change into a guy and find a spirit to help out with that as they can just charm them out like nobody's business.

2. Do like ya do then shift to spirit form and lay eggs with short gestation passed on in an incubator inside your manse. Won't be instant but quicker than waiting for years. Might take a few months?

I'm not sure if I should be worried about an army of snakey goodness rampaging across the land or not.

Roger roger! Its both sides of the Clone Wars under your control. Does that mean you guys are actually Sith overlords?

I feel that in the long run, doing something like that to The Realm during their civil war might be in our best interest.

I have an uncompromising theocrat who consorts with evil anyway. Maybe a merger of Dooku and Windu.

So *I* think we're leaning that way...

So @Sherwood, I've done my best to write up a fission-powered siege maul. It's grotesque, but not moreso than Solar Melee at the same Essence ratings. And really, swinging a nuclear warhead on a stick.

It's still an Artifact 5, though, so I should get your approval on that.

Its a powerful Artifact 5, that's for sure. My kneejerk reaction is that its a bit overpowered. A Glorious Solar Cannon is Artifact 5, and it does a max of 18L for its raw damage. The multiplier going up by one for every 2m is scary in my book. The GSC is listed as the 'most powerful' hand held Essence weapon of the First Age, and this maul overpowers it greatly. We need to put a cap on the damage before I can ok it.

Also, I would require the Maul to have a hearthstone attached to it in the same way as the GSC of at least a level 3 to be able to open this portal to Malfias to tap into Ligier's fire like that.

Really, the power scaling depends entirely on how sturdy you want battlements to be. This is supposed to be comparable to siege equipment, rather than operating generally as a weapon. I just don't know what numbers to use to model tearing down fortifications, or batting them into place from loose boulders. Hearthstone, sure, I can do. Helps me use up some background dots.

Ok, let me ponder this. I want to double check; the doubling you are looking for is only against inanimate structures? Not against living people? I may be ok with that if we can limit the damage done to the dead, since they used to be living.

Yes. Currently, it's quad and can scale up to 7x against structures. If I change the multiplier motes to three each, it becomes current 3x, scalable to 4x.

I like that a bit better. Thank you for not giving me fits about this.
