Fantasy Dragon's Roar 3: Rise of The Dark Arts ( Finished )
Isaac made his way back to the ground also and once he landed he said, "Thank you both for teaching me how to fly, now I have a sparring match to get to so if you'll excuse me." Isaac said, then he ran back to the house and yelled. "Bruce. I'm back."
The twins waved at him and smiled as he left "you're welcome!"

Bruce was sitting on the ground when Isaac arrived, his hands on the knees of his crossed legs as he was meditating. He opened one eye to acknowledge Isaac. "Did you learn what you needed to?"

"Yep, I can fly now. So are you ready for our sparring match?"

"First we must ask the question," Bruce opened up his other eye "what is ready? Is it a thought or is a physical feature? Maybe it's a trait about a person or perhaps it is contagious, spread by others. One cannot be ready if another isn't. But then that begs the question of who was the first to be ready? Perhaps some are simply born ready to spread their readiness to all the other people of the world like the bubonic plague. Except this time it would be a good thing. Or maybe readiness is just a feeling, a side effect from cockiness and bravado and makes us do things when we're not actually ready to do them. Perhaps this is all true or perhaps readiness doesn't even exist and we just flow through life in a constant state of just doing whatever fate lies before us..."

"And where did all this come from? Before I left you were ready to bash some skulls and now it's like I'm in the middle of a poetry slam."

"Oh from nowhere, I really just wanted to see how confused you would be after I said something philosophical." Bruce stood up and stretched "to answer your first question, I am ready whenever you are."

Isaac got into his stance and said, "You get the first shot."

Bruce nodded and dashed forwards, delivering a punch right to Isaac's gut. It all seemed to be one movement at once, Bruce pushing with his legs and at the same time bringing his fist up for the attack itself.

Isaac was pushed back a feet with the gut punch, he really shouldn't have given Bruce the first move. Isaac responded with a super speed gut kick with enough force to move Bruce back a few feet, then while Bruce was being knocked back by the kick he ran behind Bruce and tripped him making sure he couldn't regain his balance.

As he was falling Bruce pushed a ball of ki right into Isaac's face and had it explode, blowing him away from Bruce which allowed him time to recover from the attack. "Pretty good," he then launched a volley at Isaac, not really expecting to hit him.

Isaac responded with his own volley of ki blasts to intercept Bruce's, then he said "Thanks." Before he ran at Bruce and gave him a few jabs to the mid-section and a right hook to the face before backing off again.

Bruce was prepared for Isaac to come after him again, it was a pretty common strategy but an effective one. He took the blows without even wincing and when he backed off Bruce reached out and grabbed his arm. He swung him upwards then down into the ground.

Isaac responded with an, "Uhhhhhh." when he was thrown into the ground. "That one really hurt." Isaac said as he got up and stretched.

With his voice in a teasing tone Bruce said "Awww," hebrought his hand up to his face and rubbed his finger down from his eye to signify a tear. "Does wittle Isaac need me to kiss it better?" His voice changed back to normal "cause I won't, if you were a lady then I totally would. Maybe."

"Very funny Bruce, let's see you get thrown to the ground by somebody twice your size and just brush it off like it's nothing."

Bruce looked up and thought for a moment, counting on his fingers. "Right, tenth sparring match with my father, he was twice my size at the time and thus spent time building up my strength and durability."

"Bruce what's you father like?"

Bruce looks away and gets a downed expression. "Was... My father was a huge dude, made Hulk Hogan seem like a wimpy baby. That's speaking physically of course but he definitely had a big ego, thought he could do whatever he wanted. I was his first child but with a different mother than his wife. Made me an outcast to the family for a while... I loved him though, taught me most of what I know and he would never lie to me and would give me a lot of freedom once I was part of the family for good."

"It sounds like he was a good man. I don't know much about my father, in fact I only met him recently when he told me he was going to New York to clear out the Meta demons."

"Hmm sad to hear that. The first part, not the last. I'm glad we have somebody trying to save the U.S., that's my home right there and I'd like it to stay intact."

"Yeah hopefully he's doing well, though we can't know for sure. So how do feel about this death game we'll be playing?"

"To be honest, I had some pretty big talk back there but I'm still afraid of it all... Some part of me wants me to back out, I think it might be my rational side."

"Bruce, we're all scared. Even though we all try to play it off were all scared, and this may not be the most rational plan ever, but we can't hesitate when the time comes or we will lose. You can quote me on this though, we will win. I can guarantee it."

"Thanks for that Isaac, but even if we do win someone will end up dying and don't you dare tell me otherwise. The Dark Arts is dangerous and taking them down wont come without a cost of life."
