Let's take kinetic energy manipulation as an example, this can be used to disintegrate someone. The immediate thought would be "Oh man that's OP!"

To logically and effectively RP out the process of disintegrating someone, it would require you to


1. Attune/absorb yourself to the (kinetic) energy (1 posts)


2. Begin focusing your abilties and powering up the ability all the way down to an atomic level (2 posts)


3. Begin the disintegration, since you can't just make someone poof all at once. (1 post)


So that's 4 posts of logical preparation before the disintegration actually occurs. In that time, you should be able to interrupt the process. If you can't, well then that's not because the person was OP, but because you lacked the ability.

But that's like ten episodes in dragon ball! Also, not everyone lives in the same timezone, so sometimes it takes an entire day for them to have a post or two together

Yeah I know, it just sucks because it adds a much greater dimension to RP I find :/

@TealMinx Also, theres the thing with multiple groups. If one group is much more active than another, then the slow group would be stuck 'in the past'. I've had this problem with a RP I had with RL friends of mine, where one person never posted and pretty much messed up the timeline

It would, but we simply don't have the means to post that much. Some people are only able to post a few times a day at most, and we try to incorporate everyone here. So basically, this rp would stagnate and people would lose interest, then it dies and no one is happy
