maybe??? Idk nothing's happening sooo go for itskwablehawk said:I mean, would the entrance of Eyeface help?
I like that he doesn't at all question Willow chillin out over there xDskwablehawk said:"Eyeface"A mysterious hooded figure walked down the large street leading to the center of the city where the heroes were battling against the skeletal dragon. Fortunately most of the civilians had evacuated to safety. Unfortunately, there were some who were left behind, such as this young boy collapsed in the middle of the road, sobbing in terror into his arms, soaking his sleeves.
The young boy felt a powerful presence approaching him, and looked up. In the distance was the hooded figure, whose silhouette was occasionally illuminated by the magic breath emitted by the undead monster. Even then, there was not much to see, really. It was just a person clad in a gray cloak, slightly worn from travel. Yet there was something peculiar about him, other than the fact that he was walking himself straight into danger. Whatever it was, the boy was unable to take his eyes off the stranger.
The boy expected the traveler to kneel down and help him up, perhaps even carry him back to the shelter; but the traveler stopped a few steps away from the boy and simply stood there. The child was about to cry out begging for help, when he was silenced by an oppressing gaze from a single menacing orange eye glowing under the hood, composed of intricate runes and shaped like a tall diamond. Then the eye flattened and widened into a horizontal diamond, and turned into a calmer, soothing blue which made fear vanish from the boy's heart.
The stranger with the magical eye spoke no words, but the boy understood that the eye was telling him to pick himself up with his own strength and reunite with his family - whom he had lost track of in the midst of all the chaos during the mass evacuation. He did so, and he felt a sense of pride within the eye. It did not last long as the stranger continued to walk past the boy and towards the roaring dragon in the distance. The boy muttered a word of thanks before running away.
The stranger arrived at the center of the city and surveyed the situation. A retreating archer, a caster preparing a symbol-based spell, a warrior directly on the dragon, and a grounded angel, among others. Perhaps the caster and the warrior had a chance at defeating this foe, along with the archer who seemed to be making a strategic, temporary retreat rather than running away in defeat. In any case, the stranger intended to assist the heroes on combating the dragon.
Luckily for the lone traveler, whoever summoned this dragon did not simply revive a skeleton through necromancy, but restored its wretched soul as well, judging from its ability to speak. Or perhaps the summoner had implemented other means in order to achieve this? The cloaked figure wished for his initial observation to be true as he levitated into the air and flew up towards the dragon. He hovered in front of the skull of the dragon - and the charming lady on top of it - and stared into its eyes with his own subjugating eye, launching an attack on the dragon's mind intended to evoke submission, fear, or at least some distraction.
It was also possible that the dragon was invulnerable to psychic effects, but the stranger didn't want to think about how dumb it would be if he came all the way up here and wasn't able to do anything. He stared a little harder than usual, just in case.
Hey, he's sure that she has her reasons.Kazehana said:I like that he doesn't at all question Willow chillin out over there xD

Alright I'm back let me get something posted to get this rollingskwablehawk said:I'm just counting on Magnus to finish setting up as soon as possible. Eyeface could help out depending on how the dragon reacts to his creepy ogling.

If Eyeface gets to bring the dragon under his control he's gonna be like nuu it's my pet now don't kill D: heheQuinlan63 said:Would someone like the honor of having the killing blow?
Nah that's not fare to all those who worked hard to fight the dragon in the first placeskwablehawk said:If Eyeface gets to bring the dragon under his control he's gonna be like nuu it's my pet now don't kill D: hehe
Yeah, except Eyeface doesn't really care. Besides, I don't think he would be able to enslave a legendary skeletal dragon that easily.Quinlan63 said:Nah that's not fare to all those who worked hard to fight the dragon in the first place
Mate, Grey put in just as much effort, he was just less effectiveMitchs98 said:Lilith deserves it. She put forth the most effort. xD
I'd say that the effectiveness of certain magical equipment would depend on the strength of the synergy between it and its user, unless the equipment was specifically designed to work for users with little to no synergy, such as a weapon enhancement buff cast by a magic user. Synergy would depend on the user's own magical energy or something like that. It's really just up to the designer of an item to decide whether its magical properties are fixed/innate, draw upon the magical power of the user, or some combination of both.Mykinkaiser said:Quick question about magic and all.
Grey has magic resistance so this obviously affects all incoming magic and all, but would it affect magical objects? As in, would the effect of said object be less for him? One of the main reasons I ask is because I want to know how Lilith's titan armor would react to him and all, would it be lighter for him? Though not to the extent it is for her. I've been thinking about this for a while and I can't decide either way because having object's magic not change in relation to him seems wrong in terms of his resistance, but on the other hand I don't want to godmode no object's magic affecting him so I was wondering what opinions you lot had.

Yeah, but I was mainly asking how such equipment would work in regards to Grey when others are using itskwablehawk said:I'd say that the effectiveness of certain magical equipment would depend on the strength of the synergy between it and its user, unless the equipment was specifically designed to work for users with little to no synergy, such as a weapon enhancement buff cast by a magic user. In case of someone like Grey, I'd say the general rule is he would need magical equipment or buffs to do damage against pure magic opponents or the like, but his attacks wouldn't be as effective as someone with actual magic power using the same equipment. Sounds good, yeah?
