Dragon Riders [Inactive]

Fear straightened out again and soared over the rest of the group. She wasn't sure why the dragon always preferred to fly above everyone else. Maybe it had to do with him being a dragon of darkness and all that jazz; casting a shadow on everyone else and hey! look at that! Shiroi turned her head to find a brilliant light emitted from a landing dragon. "Cool..." she mumbled under her breath. "Hey!" She shouted down to her little group of fellow dragon riders over the wind, "you guys wanna take a break?" she asked. Hopefully they could hear her. Talking while flying was never very efficient.

Khajin looked up at Shiroi and nodded. He also noticed the light coming from below them and what seemed to be a dragon landing. "Keep your eyes and eyes open Lunos, this isnt exactly the safest place to stop", he said as he banked his dragon down to land. Lunos grumbled a response as the plummeted towards the ground. Might spirit step around here once we land, im sure a group of riders mustve caught someones attention, he thought to himself.

Diablo growls softly and lifts his head in the air looking at his partner. Nexus frowns slightly and chuckles, "I know. I heard them land a few hundred kilos away. Let's see if they decide to move with intent to attack or with diplomacy. Just prepare for a fight." Diablo growls an answer, crawls off the roof and lays next to his master.

Nidhogg Roared and glew extermely Bright. It's light glew a light white color. Sol looked around and noticed dragon riders. He was fully alert. "Nidhogg calm. They may be friendly...." Sol stood his unsee through mask was reflected the sunlight.

Sterkr and Uroboros stopped flying and let themselves plummet down to the earth shaking the ground on impact. Svinnr and Elfangor gracefully landed next to them as Sterkr used his abilities to put up a rock wall in front of the four of them blocking the bright light. "Better to be safe than sorry." Uro said grinning.

"I have to agree, brother. I'm surprised by your cautiousness, though. Feeling alright?"

Elfangor smiled to let his twin know he was only joking. Uroboros could be rash and too instinctive at times, but he was anything but stupid.

Now, Elfangor called over the wall to the masked man and his lightbulb of a dragon. "Would you mind dousing that light?"

Sol looked at were the voice came from. He said nothing but raised his hand. Nidhogg stopped glowing and imediately revealed that it was the legendary Dragon. It has many names but it was mostly known as the Phantom Light. Sol looked at him, but it did not seem like he looked at him since no one could see his face.

Fear landed down behind the rest of the group, turning his head to the bright and shiny dragon. It always hated bright and shiny things; like the sun...and glowing dragons. Shiroi jumped off her dragon and shielded her eyes. She wasn't too fond of bright things either. She sighed in relief when the dragon stopped glowing, "were you headed to that meeting at White City?" she asked the stranger. The more on this mission the better. This mysterious force that was killing everything really freaked her out.

Sol looked at Shiroi with his blank mask. He answered in a low and metalic voice. "Yes I was heading to White city. But Nidhogg has been flying for 2 weeks straight. I thought to give him a rest." Sol touched Nidhogg and it grumbled as the rest of its light disappeared.

"Seems you should have started a bit earlier then," Shiroi chuckled, unfazed by the strangers metallic voice and faceless mask. She'd dealt with a lot stranger, much scarier things on a normal basis, "the meeting ended a couple hours ago. We're headed to Dunnath now by orders of the king"

Sol turned to Nidhogg and the Dragon seemed to laugh at him. ".....Ah I see then... I am the warrior of light, Sol.. And thats Nidhogg..." Sol introduced both himself and his dragon. Both where known as the Endless light duo. Sol's armor gleamed as he tapped Nidhogg and it stood.

Khajin watched Sol and Shiroi talk as he leaned back on Lunos' folded wing near the brothers. "Cool light trick...must make it a little hard to sleep at night though huh?", Khajin called to the newcomer with a chuckle. Lunos lazily rested his head on the ground next to Khajin. He reached back towards where his weapons were sheathed and pulled them out along with his whetting stone. Year's of training had instilled in him the habit to always sharpen and clean his blades. He examine the prayer inscriptions on the blades and ran his hand over them. He mouthed the words and began sharpening his blades.

standing in his custom saddle fenrir leaned left and back vajra dipped his left wing and flapped acceding to a front of clouds. "not even a sense of danger in those fool hardy riders eh vajra?" lifting his head and looking right vajra got an eye on fenrir and nodded.

Nidhogg opened its mouth and just spoke. "Sol that human just made fun of my phantom light!" Sol looked at Nidhogg who looked ready to bite someone's head off. "Now now Nidhogg. Its just a joke...maybe.." Sol looked at Nidhogg who was looking in the sky.. Something in the clouds.

Nidhogg Took off. Jumping and flapping its mighty wings he flew up to the Vajra and Fenrir. He let his cold light shine and flew eye level with them. Nidhogg roared. His roar was like millions of screaming people at once which was so dreadful the whole forest seemed to pause in fear from the dragon. Sol just looked at him but then looked back. "Well that.........is not a fun roar..."

"More bright lights" Shiroi sighed as she covered her eyes again, "Fear, please tell me you've got a dark shroud going on" she whimpered as she walked back to her dragon. Fear had covered his immediate surrounding in a cloud of darkness that dimmed all the light that passed through it. She sat down beside her dragon and sighed contently. She hated bright lights. Nidhogg being one of the brightest she'd seen sense the sun.

Sol scratched his hair. "Sorry that dragon has a problem... He's loud and has that dang light that was so bright I had to make this mask for my face." Sol snapped at Nidhogg ut the dragon seemed to be looking at someone. It dimmed its light but still was as bright as the moon.

"looks like company." plane as hay in a needle stack the glowing dragon came rushing up to get level with them. vajra was twinkling a little bit small currents of charge were visible running over his scales. "he dose not look li....." fenrir was silenced by a rather unsettling roar. vajra rumbled her muscles tensing "i don't like the sound of that either. say in the clouds and out of sight but keep building charge."

Nexus watches the group from a new vantage point, from the throne room. He looks through the gaping hole in the wall towards the flying dragon. "Stupid worm, you are letting everyone know you are around, the glowing doesn't f**king help. Your master must not be very smart." He pats Diablo's head and laughs evily. "I like this castle, I want it. Remind me to call the others after this."

Dirge was riding on Chaos as the dragon flew to their destination slowly. It took a few minutes of constant icicle poking and one ice-willy to get the dragon to leave the courtyard, which was normal for the Rider to do every time he needed to go somewhere. Dirge sighs before he saw a dragon roar at another one in the air in front of him. "Wow, now that's loud. That light dragon isn't going to win any singing contest with that roar." He said to Chaos while rubbing his tortured ears. Chaos seems to chuckle to the comment as he starts approaching the other dragons, unaffected by the light dragon's annoying roar.

Sol looked up and notice Nidhogg was sparkling inside his mask his face went blank. "Duck!!!!" He yelled as Nidhogg shot from his mouth a small energy ball at the forest area. It Got large as if it was a blast but instead it got tiny untile it disappeared. The forest looked like it had a massive Hole in it. Nidhogg was just showing off. The blast dug into tje ground about 20 feet.

"fusk. vajra let fly" fenrir was not about to let the rest of the group get caught with there pants down. vajra loosed grate gouts of lighting one after the other marking up the twilight sky with bolts of brilliant blue energy enough to stun mid flight. "only a shot across the bow but make sure he gets the point." as vajra rained on the glowing bulls eye he loosed two or three bolts to hit but aimed most close enough to feel but not a hit.

As Uroboros and Elfangor flew side by side Uro leaned over and murmured to Elfangor and the dragons "This masked guy seems to think him and his dragon are terrifying. To be honest I don't think anyone is the least bit afraid or impressed." "I agree, they seem to be trying pretty hard. If people are terrified I don't think they should be on a mission like this. " Elfangor replied.

"Brother, I think we should return to our home city before the others, to investigate. Perhaps what destroyed it is still there and I can discover some of its secrets."

Uro and Elfangor had flown out of the area of the bright dragon to get away from the drama. Elfangor's twin had been getting a little uppity about the newcomer and his attitude.

The large man thought it over. "If what you say is true, how are you going to get in?"

Elfangor, who had been thinking of a plan for a while now, responded easily. "You and Sterkr go in all loud and showy. Svinnr will drop me off somewhere in the ruins and then come back to you for an escape. If you're pursued, he'll be able to assist Sterkr with some wind."

Uro's brows came together in concentration. "I really don't see anything wrong with that plan, so let's do it. Keep your distance and stay in the clouds. It would be pointless to be seen flying towards the city together. Maybe even make like you're heading back first."

His twin nodded, and Svinnr whipped around and started to head back to the others. Near the halfway point, he shot up into the clouds. Elfangor patted his dragon's neck. "Let's go."

Nexus watched the two dragons and their riders formulate a little plan and try to head towards the castle unnoticed. "Nice try, but i am able to see a lot through these very few holes in my new castles walls, and roof. But i'll let you have this moment and pretend i didn't see you coming." Diablo looks at him and puffs smoke at him, "What? it's considered good hospitality. I am always one for being a good host. The leading role is always the most welcoming of a person in plays." He laughs slightly before getting more comfortable in his throne. Might as well be comfortable when entertaining the guests.
