Hello there. You are being contacted because of an object you have found recently. An egg, most likely. We cannot reveal what is in the egg, but we do require you to come to us, willing or unwilling. When you arrive, please have the egg with you. Directions are inclosed. [insert directions here]

Anys sighed. "That looks fairly foreboding, but it will have to do. I hope they all come of their own accord, however......"

Ansy leaned back in her chair, satisfied. She felt poke, and turned to see none other than her dragon, Kalayo. She was sitting on her haunches, much like a dog, a satisfied look on her face. "Hey, how'd you get in here. The guards weren't supposed to let anyone past, least of all you.." The dragon looked taken aback, then hurt. Ansy reached forward, and let Kalayo nuzzle her hand. "Alright, alright, I know what you want...." She sighed, "We need more leather anyway, we've got several new riders coming in soon, and riding without a saddle is extremely unpleasent." She hopped up, and was about to venture out into the dragon hold, when a glint of sliver caught her eye. She turned around slowly, eyes fixed on the large saddle in front of here. "Would you look at that..." She sucked in a breath, then jumped into the air. Once she landed, she ran over to Kalayo, and gave her a hug, around her large neck. "Thanks, girl. Let's go try it!" As soon as she had the saddle fitted and on, both Ansy and the dragon were at the edge of the hold, looking over. "Alright, let's go!" Placing hands on the marble, she was over the edge in and instant, plummeting towards the ground. In a moment, Kalayo was under her, and Ansy landed on her back. Then, Kalayo shot upwards, spiraling until they were out of the mountain, and leveled into a glide.

Anya sat on her bed, watching the nightly news float by on the small television on the dresser in her room. Her parents weren't home yet, which was typical, she figured they'd still have at least two more hours till they arrived. As she watched the stories on the latest town hall that had been built in her hometown, she sighed, wishing something interesting would happen in her town for once. Her thought was suddenly interrupted by the buzz of her phone on the bedside table. "Let me guess, you're gonna be home 'extra-late toniiiiiiii... What?" She looked at the mysterious message in awe for a moment, before snapping her head to her closet, which held the egg in a box marked in her mother's fancy cursive "Christmas Decorations." She had found it weeks before, washed up on the beach that was "Off limits" to the public. She thought for a moment, that it could be the police who would arrest her for stealing from a government area or something like that. But her mind was racing, what if it wasn't? What if this was the adventure she had always been waiting for? She quickly made up her mind, that she would at least go and check it out. She raced to the closet and gingerly unboxed, and picked up the egg, sitting on her bed. She grabbed her school backpack, which she swiftly unzipped, and emptied all of the contents onto her already messy bedroom floor. She put the egg softly into it, and shouldered it on.

She raced to the door, before slowly stepping back into her room and grabbing her trusty pepper spray and pocketed it. Just in case.

Downstairs, the excitement already setting in, she scrawled quickly onto a sticky note
"Went to Carolines house, be home later tonight <3- Anyaaa" and stuck it hastily on the fridge. In case this would take a while. She ran out the door and grabbed her bike, looking down at her phone for the directions again, she peddled enthusiastically to her destination.

Forrest - Dragon Guard

Forrest had been cuddling up with the giant, child-sized egg found in the forest he was so familiar with. While he wasn't quite sure what was in it, it was an egg of some sort, and the man had pledged he would take care of the egg no matter if it hatched or not. Right before he was about to completely doze off, a certain spot within his white toga began vibrating. Reaching into the garment through the chest, he pulled out the phone he had for whatever reason and checked the message left by whoever would leave such a message. "Woah... How do they know about this... Can I trust it?" Puzzled, he looked down at the amber colored egg his other arm was wrapped around. "I guess it couldn't hurt to try. We're gonna have some fun, uh... You!" With the slightest of grins, he dropped the phone back into his toga and stood up with the egg effortlessly before running off, careful not to shake the object currently taking up his armspan.

...

A few hours later, and rather long rests in between, Forrest had made it up to the mountain, heavily panting thanks to all the stairs he had had to climb in order to reach the entrance to the mountain. Exhausted, the man looked inside, the darkness contrasting with the scorching light of the Sun, and wiping the sweat from his forehead, he clumsily stepped inside. As his vision adjusted to the new darkness, Forrest could see that every single thing there was dragon themed. The chairs. The tables. The paintings. The chandeliers, all decorated with some sort of dragon-like sculpture. So what did that make the egg he had found? Before he could even think about it, the man had completely passed out, falling backwards onto the stony floors of the mountain. The egg was still safely planted in his arms.

After a few hours out gathering hides, Ansy and Kalayo were headed back. They were about to fly in through the top, when she heard a thud, coming from inside the front hall. The dragon cocked her head slightly, and they dove downwards, and pulled up, directly in front of the steps. The doors to the mainhall were wide open-that couldln't mean anything good. Unless....unless the new riders were here! Kalayo sensed Ansy's excitment , and bounded up the steps. They reached the doors in a matter of moments. There was a quite large.....man...or maybe teenager? on the floor, a large, almost child-sized egg in his arms. Ansy hopped off of Kalayo, and looked him over. Meanwhile, Kalayo snuffled his face loudly, and nudged the egg, then him.

A damp, hot air passed over all around Forrest's face, making his well-deserved nap a very uncomfortable one. Slowly and clumsily, he removed one oh his arms out from under the egg and attempted to sleepily swat at whatever had been trying to interrupt him. Did they even know how long it took him to get to this lake? Wait, did someone say lake? Water! That warm air must have been the humidity from the sun burning up the water! He had to get at least a few sips in before it was completely dried up! Tossing the egg into the air, Forrest jolted up onto all fours, skillfully catching it safely on his back. Contented with his cool little trick but still thirsty, he began lapping at the stone floor of the cave, not yet realizing there was never a lake to begin with.

The peddling of her bike grew less enthusiastic, she had plenty of time to think as she as her legs pushed up and down. She figured this was probably a huge mistake that she'd have to regret later, but she was too far now to go back, so she kept on. As her small town melted away, she grew confused where were these directions leading her. She felt her pocket again, feeling the comfortable lump of pepper spray in her pocket.

Soon, the town turned into a forest, and the forest shortly turned into a mountain. Feeling more uneasy, she stopped, looked at her phone to make sure she was in the right place, and looked up again to evaluate the situation. She saw a hole, which she assume must have been an entrance of some sorts. She got off her bike and placed it against a large rock, knowing the only thing she could do is hope it wouldn't get stolen.

As she walked towards the entrance, she heard a dull thump, followed shortly by a larger thud. At this she unpocketed her pepper spray, and held it by her side as she peaked her head around the entrance.

What she saw was the most odd thing she had ever seen in her life. So odd in fact that all she could do was stand and watch both people in pure shock.

Ansy took a step back when the boy began licking the cave's floor. "Do you...do you speak english?" Kalayo, who had jumped back as soon as they boy was up, whirled around, and with narrowed eyes, stalked over to the girl standing behind them. She sniffed her hand, then sat back, observing her.

Prose was in the middle of examining the strange, gem-like 'rock' when her phone had buzzed. She absentmindedly picked it up, still focused on the gem. After all, it was most likely her parents calling to check up on her, since Prose was currently on one of her many camping trips a couple miles from her house. Checking her phone, she was already half way through texting 'I'm fine, Mom' when she saw that it was in fact, not her mother. Her eyebrows raised as she scanned the message, thinking it was a prank from one of her friends who knew of her love of anything mythical. If this were in fact real, it would explain the heat that emanates from the iridescent orb. The directions the message had weren't exactly far, she supposed. An afternoon hike wouldn't hurt.

Hopping up, Prose quickly collected her things. If the jewel or rock or whatever it was, was an actual egg, she feared breaking it. Taking her sleeping bag, she wrapped it around the glowing egg and stuffed it in her backpack. Glancing over at her phone, she scanned the message once again. She should tell her mom she was going to extend her little trip. Her mom wouldn't mind her missing school, would she? After sending the quick text, Prose set out to the mountain.

Puzzled, Forrest looked up at a lady seemingly standing on the water... where did she come from? Didn't she know she was contaminating the water? Readying to yell at the newcomer to come back to land, he came to a sudden realization that people couldn't stand on water. Even worse, the sun couldn't make water evaporate so quickly... Looking down at the "lake" with a look of utter shock on his face, he wondered to himself if what he was drinking was really water.

His hallucination would almost instantly come to an end, the blue water slowly turning gray and not so flowing, and in a matter of seconds, Forrest was right back where he wished he never came. Looking up at Ansy with the same expression of shock from before, he slowly nodded before managing a squeak. "Y-yes..."

Ansy looked down at the boy. "Good, then you can understand me. Get up, the floor is dirty. You don't want to be licking it, anymore than you already have." She stuck her hand out to help him up, then realized she probably wasn't strong enough to do so, and pulled her hand back. "We have water, if you need it." She turned around, about to usher Kalayo to come take the egg, when she saw another girl. 'Well, hello! Another rider. Do you have your egg?" She turned back to the boy. "Speaking of eggs, Kalayo here," she pointed to the dragon, "is going to be taking yours to the hatchery. And yours, too." She said, the last comment directed at the girl behind her. 'That is, if you have it."

As the creature approached her, Anya held the pepper spray up threateningly. This seemed to not do much as the creature probably didn't know what it was. As it touched her hand, she cringed, afraid it would bite her whole arm off. Needless to say, when she opened her eyes, she was glad to see that it had backed away and was now simply staring at her intently.

"L-listen! I think I deserve some answers here!" She spoke, much more confidentiality then she felt. "What is this place? Why are we hear? What the hell is that thing?" What's in these weird egg things?" She spoke louder then she meant to, but she was a bit cross with this situation. @Scattered Ambitions

Connor came casually cycling up the mountain, the three things that had this group so worried tossed in his backpack. Why did they want him? He didn't do anything wrong. Not that he knew of anyway. All he had done was collect those basketball sized rocks. There wasn't a single blemish on them, and would have gone nicely into his collection had there been apparently something wrong with them. I mean, come on, what did he know? They were just rocks, right?

"That thing," Ansy said, turning towards the girl, "is a dragon. My dragon. This place is where riders and dragons train. You are here, ebcause you followed the instructions on your phone, I presume. Unless you just happened to stumble upon us. And, the creature in the egg you have is a dragon, your very own. Does that answer your questions?"

With a shine in his eyes, Forrest grinned the widest grin in forever when the woman told him they had water. He didn't need to fantasize about evaporating lakes anymore! Not even bothering to spit out all the germs from the floor he had licked. With the giant dragon thing taking care of his egg for him, his arms were free... and that generally wasn't a very good thing for others. Closing his eyes with the stupidest smile, he pulled her in for the bear hug of her life. Squeezing the life out of her out of a newfound loyalty, Forrest felt it was necessary to show his gratitude through words. "Thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthanky-- Dragons?!" Finally allowing the lady some air by setting her back on her feet, Forrest began shaking his fists like the child he was. "You mean that egg was a dragon?! And he'll hatch?! And I'll get to feed him and water him and take care of him and hug him and cradle him and take him on walks and watch as he grows up and lose him to the outside world because he's gonna grow up to be an adventure seeker like his daddy?!" Well, the last two didn't sound too appealing, but everything before that were things he'd be going on about until the dragon hatched.

Prose reached the mountain after a few hours of sweating and few breaks. Wiping the back of her hand across her forehead, she sat down outside the entrance for a moment. What if this was all a hoax? What if these people were kidnappers or something? Rolling her eyes, Prose sighed. This was a bad idea. It was probably a huge coincidence and that text was her friend being a butt, and she was going to walk into the entrance only to find nothing. Yeah. There would be no kidnappers, only a weird cave. Heaving herself up, Prose walked through the entrance.

When the boy grabbed her, he pushed all the air out of her lungs, and that caused her to give a little squeak. She felt her bones creak dangerously. But, right as she felt on the verge of breaking in two, he let her go. She stumbled backwards, and fell, but was soon back up. As soon as she caught her breath, she replied. "Uh sure, yeah, all of that, excpet you won't lose him to the outside world, because once a dragon bonds with you, nothing can break that bond." She rubbed her sore arms, while muttering. "You've got quite the girp, don'tcha?" She spund around at the sound of another entering the cave. Weakly, she waved. "Hi! I suppose you have an egg?" Meanwhile, Kalayo was already off with Forrest's egg, flying down the hallways.

The answers to her questions were everything that she didn't expect. Dragons? That was absurd! But then again, what was that thing sniffed her. She started laughing nervously. When she said she wanted to go on an adventure, this Isnt quite what she meant. She thought again about the egg in her bag, and brought out. She stood in stunned silence letting out a small "oh..." She didn't know what to do anymore. All this was far too much for her. But she had to admit, the idea of a dragon was pretty cool to her. She would begrudgingly give Kalayo her egg, when the dragon came back. (this will be my last post tonight! Have fun ^•^)

Prose let out a nervous laugh. These people seemed insane. "So uh, the whole egg thing is real? I suppose this is it, then." Unwrapping her egg from the sleeping bag, she held out the glowing egg. She was glad it hadn't cracked during the long hours of hiking it took to get here. Now that she thought about it, it did kind of look like an egg.

Forrest's grin only got bigger, his unsteadiness becoming even greater as he heard the good news. Once a bond was made with a dragon, nothing could break it. He would spend time with his dragon forever and ever and ever! He would have hugged the lady again if she had not looked so weak from his last one, and with a slight blush, he grabbed his toga and pulled. "Heh, I guess so... sorry..." Unfortunately, he might need to refrain from the hugs for now. People seemed to be a lot more delicate since the last time he's interacted with them... or maybe he had never really been able to control his strength...?

Ansy took it from her, and inspected it, before handing it over to the eager Kalayo. "Changewing, interesting. Haven't seen one of those in a while..."

"Egg?" Connor said confused. But swiftly enough, that confusion was replaced by understanding. 'She means the rocks.' he thought to himself as he quickly swung his backpack around and picked the three eggs out. "These, right?" he asked, holding them awkwardly to his chest. "You know, these are some pretty cool rocks. What are they exactly?" There couldn't be any harm in asking a question like that. Surely not.
"It's alright, hon, you were just...happy, yes? No need to apologize for happiness." She started down the hall, motioning for the group to follow her. "Alright, before we get to anymore questions, I'm going to give you the grand tour of your new home."
"New home? But.. my parents don't know I'm here. I can't stay here." Her voice raised slightly. So maybe they were kidnappers. "Look this awesome and all, but I have a life at home. A family."

Ansy stopped, and turned, again. "Those aren't rocks at all, they're dragon eggs." She peered at the eggs. "And, if I know dragons at all, those are night terror eggs. And three off 'em! We haven't had those since...well, forever, I suppose."
