It's been so long since Goku has had to fight, once he hit around 80 his rapid aging set in and while he did still spar occasionally, and he definitely taught young martial artist who came his way, be it family or prodigy, but he just wasn't in his prime anymore.
He didn't expect to go on this long, he thought his end would be in glorious battle, trying to save the universe- no, the MULTI-VERSE from some big threat, but he didn't. Instead, his friends got to save the day, they got to die in battle, they got to save the day. Krillin, Tien, Piccolo, Yamcha, Choitzu, hell even Android 18. Vegeta, Master Roshi, his kids, and Yajirobe were about the only friends he had left. Bulma and Chi-Chi unfortunately didn't get to live as long as their husbands. Chi-Chi had a heart attack stressing over one of Goku's battles, it almost ruined him. Bulma had unfortunately died from Cancer. She had tried to fast track a cure like she usually would, but it just wasn't fast enough, the dragon balls couldn't help her this time. Capsule Corp. was able to release the cure about 3 months after she died.
Their deaths tore Goku and Vegeta apart, they didn't even get to reach their accelerated aging before they died, they loved to fight, but they loved their wives just as much. Now the two of them only had each other in a strange sense. They ended up moving in, they trained with each other in weird way to help with the grief that only Saiyans would understand. They grew insanely close in those last 20 years, growing ever stronger as they always do. Now, they're 80, their years of fighting and injuries are rapidly catching up to them, and they're more susceptible to illness and the like.
They were on "deaths door" as Vegeta put it... And he ended up being right. Goku goes to bed one night... And when he wakes up, he's in line? At King Yemma's? He's younger, he feels more spry- Vegeta is here? What is happening?
Hey y'all! What's going on? I just recently started getting OBSESSED with Dragon Ball for some reason. Like absolutely engrossed. I've been wanting to do a plot based on it since forever, especially because I like Goku and Vegeta. The plot doesn't suggest it but it'll be gay, obviously. I have my ideas of how the story should go but I would love to hear yours!
