Korvaiis's Scouter came up with a notification of a violation of conduct, and as he brought up the file he did a quick read-through of the information and watched the video feed from Black Comedy. His eyes narrowed as he realized that they'd be bringing Rakton to his quarters for disciplinary action.

"I didn't expect it to happen this soon, but very well." He mumbled.

Standing from his chair he cracked his neck and walked to his door to await the knocking which came not long thereafter.

Korvaiis opened the door with a grim scowl which did nothing to hide his frustration or disappointment in Rakton as their eyes met.

"So... Rakton. Even with your position as Commander of your own Raid Group, your pride is not satisfied? For whatever reason you continue to badger and berate your Saiyan brethren out of spite. Do you know what that demonstrates to me Rakton? It demonstrates to me that deep down you believe your pride is still in shambles and in need of reconstruction at the expense of others. In short you're just a bully. A weak minded and weak spirited bully."

He leaned in close putting his face a single inch away from Rakton's.

"I do not tolerate bullies and I will not tolerate such treatment of a member of my team nor our allies. Our home world is dead, Rakton. Do you understand what that means? It means that you and I are now "Commanders" in name only. Our titles are meaningless now. The system back home which gave us official authority no longer exists, and we are now operating purely on our team's faith and respect for us as leaders and authority figures."

He backed away a step.

"Your punishment for this infraction shall come in stages, and stage one I'm sure will bring the truth of my words to light before your very eyes... Black Comedy, bring him to the War Council Room. We're going to see what his team members think of him as a "Commander."" He ordered.

"This is Korvaiis Drehden. All members of Raid Group 12W report to the War Council Room. We have something important to discuss." He called over his Scouter.

A few minutes later they were in the War Council Room waiting for the others. As they slowly arrived one by one Korvaiis welcomed them despite their shocked expressions about their Commander's position. As soon as all were present and accounted for, Korvaiis gave the order to Black Comedy to ensure that Rakton remained silent by any non-lethal means necessary and then he spoke to the others.

"Everyone, thank you for coming. As you know, our home world of Metahnn is gone and very soon so will all of the others. Because of this fact neither myself nor "Commander" Rakton here hold any official authority over you anymore. We are "Commanders" in name only. At this time I ask that you validate for both Rakton and myself exactly what you think of him. Evaluate his performance and provide feedback regarding his behavior, composure, and stature as a Super Elite of the Saiyan Race. Neither Rakton nor myself will speak at this time. The floor is 100% yours and I expect you all to be honest and forthcoming about what you have to say. As I said, neither of us have authority over you which means that you will not be punished for speaking your minds openly regardless of whether it is in favor or disfavor of the subject at hand."

With that Korvaiis put his hands behind his back and waited patiently for Raid Group 12W's responses and evaluation of Rakton as a leader.

Karas stepped aside as the door opened and Korvaiis began to chew out Rakton. Everything Korvaiis was saying was true, though he still considered Korvaiis his commanding officer. After all, they needed to mantain a level of organization to remain effective even if said method of organization didn't have official backing, and frankly, Korvaiis was the kind of leader he looked up to enough that he would have placed him in a commanding position anyway, officially-sanctioned position or not.

To Karas, this whole scenario was priceless. Sure, he had nearly been caught in the crossfire of Rakton's temper tantrum, but he had wanted to see Rakton brought low for a long time. From what he knew of Rakton's life, the Super Elite had been born with a silver spoon in his mouth, which stood in stark contrast to Karas' own life of meager power levels, unwanted combat, and unappreciated talents. Rakton had everything: A power level so high he could give the King of Metahnn a run for his money, wealth, connections, combat skills, and as a matter of fact pretty good tactical ability. He was a shoo-in for the position of Raid Group Commander, but Rakton had been surrounded by yesmen singing his praises all his life, mostly because his high power level made his parents favorite him and anyone who would have questioned the Super Elite's actions when he was growing up were so afraid of what Rakton could do to them in retaliation that they never spoke up. As a result, Rakton's personality developed into that of a bully, a brute, and a spoiled brat, with several extra helpings of enough Saiyan pride to make even the King blush. Rakton's personality was his greatest and perhaps only weakness, and now it had cost him dearly.

Speaking of Rakton, the violent, unpleasant, shallow excuse for an individual was currently staring straight into Korvaiis' eyes, his face a mask. Rakton was obviously trying to hide the impact of Korvaiis' words, but Karas could observe the Commander's harsh remarks striking Rakton like a ki blast to the gut. Karas' feeling of unbridled schadenfreude only increased as Korvaiis' speech went on. When it finally came to an end, Karas watched as Rakton was half-led, half-dragged to the War Council Room.

When the three arrived in the War Council Room, Black Comedy brusquely pushed Rakton into a random seat once Korvaiis had sat down. Rakton opened his mouth to speak once the Commander detailed his punishment, only for Black Comedy to forcefully smash his head into the table. Beings with high power levels were common in universal society, so the ship and everything in it were made out of materials that had been rated against ki users, the better to stop some idiot who didn't know his own strength from causing a hull breach and killing everyone onboard. Thus, the table didn't break, though the finish was slightly scuffed. Rakton actually had a bruise on his cheek when his head came back up, which signaled that Black Comedy had slammed his head down with an incredible amount of force. Rakton might have been able to destroy Black Comedy in a fair fight, but he didn't want to make his situation worse than it already was, and Korvaiis had a reputation for emerging victorious against enemies with higher power levels. Besides, a fight in here would probably destroy the ship.

Then, the members of what used to be Rakton's Raid Group filed in, taking their seats and generally looking shocked to see Rakton in such a state of weakness, at the mercy of a robot. When Korvaiis explained what the members of 12W were to do, a voluptuous woman whose power signature marked her as an Elite was the first to speak up. "Rakton, I'll start with the good things about you. You're an excellent fighter with power and tactical skill to match, and you've led us into victory several times over. Now for the bad. You're arrogant, cruel, brutal, overly harsh, unable to take criticism, completely lack subtlety or decency, and have I mentioned all the times you've tried to hit on me? Because you have. Every rossing week, I had to put up with the same harassment from you. It got to the point where I was honestly paranoid that eventually your aggressive personality would mix with your lust and result in me getting raped when I least expected it. Thankfully, that never happened, but the fact that you drove me to have those fears is unforgivable. Now that I'm not contractually obligated to work with you, I want you as far away from me as possible at all times. Got that? Good. Now I'll let someone else talk."

Next, a man who was relatively old for a combat position in the Saiyan military, appearing to be in his late thirties, spoke. "I've been part of several Raid Groups, and was even in 12W before you took over for the old man. There's one thing that all good Raid Leaders have in common: Charisma. You don't have that at all. Your personality is unbearable enough that you offend everyone who interacts with you, and you attempt to make up for your terrible social skills by strongarming people into doing what you want. If it weren't for your power level, it's highly likely someone in this Raid Group would have killed you long ago. Now it's true that 12W is in the upper echelon of Raid Groups, and yes, your power and strategic prowess have quite a lot to do with that. But that doesn't change the fact that you're a superficial glory hound who only cares about reputation. Under your leadership, we're not soldiers fighting to help the Saiyan race prosper. We're slaves, cowed by threats of violence when we do something you don't like. Alright, I'm done. Anyone else want a crack at this pile of garbage?"

The verbal assaults went on like this for the next hour, and Rakton attempted to retort several times, being struck or zapped into silence by Black Comedy in response to each attempt. Eventually, the psychological toll was starting to become clear. After 15 minutes, the anger in his face started to fade. After 30 minutes, his face grew red with embarrassment and humiliation. After 45 minutes, he had to look away from his former subordinates. By the time the final Raid Group member had said her piece, Rakton's eyes had become that of a hunted animal.

The veteran who had been the second to berate Rakton said to Korvaiis, "Alright, I think that's everyone. Anything else you need us for?"

Korvaiis sat quietly by and listened in his seat with his arms crossed in front of his chest. When the final word was given, he stood up from his seat.

"I have heard all I need to hear." He said to the group.

He then turned to Rakton.

"Rakton, you have heard the honest and upfront opinions of those you once called your "underlings." I hope you have taken their words to heart. An individual in a position of authority and leadership who uses fear of violence to maintain order and loyalty among their comrades is nothing but a brutish fool."

He turned to the Raid Group.

"I have made my decision. As part two of Rakton's punishment, I am relieving him of command of Raid Group 12W. I will leave you all to decide the new hierarchy."

He then turned to Rakton.

"Rakton. As of now you are officially demoted to a Combatant role in Raid Group 02A. That being said you are the low man on the totem pole and will answer to any and all orders given you by your senior members... That includes Karas."
He said coldly.

He looked to Karas.

"Despite this ruling, Karas, I expect you to treat Rakton with respect befitting a senior member of the group and am assigning you to be his overseer for the time being. I don't care what your personal history with him is. If there is any quarreling between Rakton and the rest of the group, yourself included, I'll hold you personally accountable for any and all consequences which result and punish you accordingly."

He took in a deep breath as he looked back to Rakton.

"For the time being I will reserve judgement on the final stage of your punishment. I will be closely monitoring your behavior from this point onward to determine what to do with you, and I will expect your complete compliance and cooperation moving forward. We are all part of the surviving population of the Saiyan Race and therefore we cannot afford the kind of behavior you have demonstrated up to this point. In order to survive to see Inecros fall, you need to learn the meaning of the word "humility.""

He looked to Black Comedy.

"Black Comedy. Go back to guard duty." He ordered.

"You can speak now if you wish Rakton, but I advise you to swallow the overflowing pride you have built up over the years and comply with quiet grace. As your new Commanding Officer I hereby order you to return to your quarters and await further instructions. Anything outside of this order including wandering through the hallways without my permission will be taken as insubordination and will be met with the appropriate repercussions... You are dismissed." He ordered.

Eve had filed into line beside Era when Korvaiss had suggested so, like it was no bother at all. As the last of the Saiyan warriors stepped forward, her eyes rolled over them all, taking in their postures, name's if mentioned, anything to use at a later time. 3hrs came and past quite quickly, she had no belongings so simply followed the crowd, always listening, always learning the connections between comrades, superiors, aliens. It was a lot to take in so she simply absorbed it. Practically the moment she boarded, Era took her and Rakton's crew to unlock their potential. It was painless, and awe inspiring. She took the time afterwards to find a single room to which she clamored onto the windowsill, peering outwards. Her cheek rested on her hand, forehead against the cold glass overseeing the dark space scene.

Her mind was a whirlwind. She had been quite impressed with her high power level, not prideful but comfortable, but since boarding she had learnt she was literally one of the weakest on the ship. It was a hard pill to swallow. There was no way for her to train for the upcoming battle, and as such she was a sitting duck, knowing she would last not long at all on the surface of the supply planet. This gave her a pit in her stomach. What if she was killed before taking out a single soldier? What if her weakness caused the foe to break the lines and obliterate there team? That filled her with dread. The entire team failing simply because of her uselessness. Her fists clenched and she lashed out, throwing her hand against the wall beside the window, feeling it crack under the pressure of her rage. With still gritted teeth she took a deep breath to calm herself. Sliding back to her feet from the windowsill, she decided she needed help. She pushed a button that automatically opened her unit's door, striding outside. She walked for some time down the long but relatively easy to navigate hallways, sky blue eyes always watching those she past in an almost creepy manner. She finally came before the room where Era and Sil were staying, pressing an intercom to let them know that she was outside.

"Era....if you are free...can we talk?"

She had very little contact with the lady, other then allowing her to show her unlocked potential, and she figured she would be the best person to point her in the right direction to ready herself for the upcoming battle. She thought, perhaps even the robotic armed Saiyan who seemed knowledgeable in all things technological might even be able to help her as well. It was a long shot really. She knew ultimately she would be kicked around and beaten senselessly from such a huge power level difference to there enemies, but anything to soften the blow would be welcomed. She simply had to survive she kept repeating to herself. Just survive.

"To grow up alone is a fate unbecoming of a Saiyan, but it has made me stronger than I dared hope. I can only continue to hope, and with luck I'll always have Era by my side to push me to even greater heights."

Era and Sil had been seated in silence watching space pass by when there came a knocking at their door as well as the voice of their new companion Eve. She was asking if Era was free to speak to her, so Era stood up and gave Sil a smile which was returned with a nod before she made her way to the door to open it and speak to Eve.

"Good afternoon, Eve. What can I do for you?" She asked.

ZARYTTO

In the vast ocean of space, a damaged ship was drifting aimlessly at a slow spin. A seemingly endless moment for the surviving occupant within. Luckily, only the thrusters were badly damaged and the oxygen reserves were spared. Still, the pilot was nowhere close to gaining control of the ship. His scout was damaged during the collision with the strayed asteroid where his head had smacked against the side of the cockpit and destroyed it. Fire was also ignited along the control panels, destroying and cutting off the emergency communication functions before he managed to extinguish the flame.

And that was like so many years ago. At least that's how long it'd seemed for Zarytto, years. Misfortune had struck the young Saiyan just as he'd embarked on a raiding mission with Commander Dandel. It was his first official raid. One where he could keep the earning if successful. But fate had other plans. During the flight, a stray asteroid intercepted his path and clipped the ship before sending him in a spiral, tearing off the wings and thrusters of the ship in the process.

The jaws of doom seemed imminent in an instant. There was no way to send a distress call. No way to call for aid. And it was very dark. He'd never felt so alone in his life before. Never felt so helpless.

Zarytto opened his eyes and exhaled. He waited for his eyes to adjust to what minimal lighting the interior of the ship could provide before looking down at the gadget in his hands. If only he'd paid more attention in the technical class, it could've been a lot simpler. He never expected he would need the knowledge on how to handle a machine. It was always about combat for him. And if it was a mechanical warrior, how hard was it to simply destroy it.

Bringing the shattered scout closer to his face, he poked, cut and bind its wires together. He couldn't remember how many times he'd attempted at fixing the damn thing. But he's not about to give it up just yet. Wires from the ship's panels dangled just above his laps towards his ear where he'd brought the scout to.

He pressed a button and began speaking into it, “This is Combatant Zarytto of Commander Dandel's raiding unit! Does anyone read me?” Since the monitor no longer provides him with the necessary information, he couldn't inform whoever that might've picked him up on his coordinates. “I've been hit by an asteroid and my ship is drifting!” He paused, just to give whoever was listening ample time to register. “If anyone can hear me, send...”

TZZZ POOF!

A jolt of electricity shocked his ear before the gadget went up in smoke. Zarytto batted the mechanism away from his ear, wincing. A fist then hammered atop the panels in frustration, denting it before he slumped back into his seat. That was it. His only hope to send a signal out. There could be no second successful one after that.

Great! When everyone else was out there fighting, training and getting stronger, he got stuck here and at the same power level as when he'd left the academy. He'd missed so much and will have a lot of catching up to do. At least once after somebody comes for him. Hopefully, they could zero in on his location from the strength of the signal.

As Era opened the door to the quarter's her and Sil where staying at, Eve quickly ushered herself inside with a nod of her head towards the girl. She paced the room for a moment, hand held onto her chin, deciding the best way to explain this.

"When I joined your group, I thought my power level was quite impressive, the problem is I have had little experience out on the field, and certainly none with my potential unlocked....It didn't take me long to figure out the majority of the Saiyan's within these ranks are of such a higher power level I am basically a lower class just by pure definition. That...doesn't bother me too much, honestly...But I fear with the upcoming battles I will be as close to useless as a stick thrown in our foe's faces."

Her eyebrows knitted together, Era wouldn't understand the width and breath of why this was such a big issue for her, she of course had a fear of being useless or unnecessary that stemmed deep in her soul, but she tried to word it in a way she might understand.

"I...worry that I will not only die, but...I will be of no use here, and furthermore my presence will simply hinder our efforts, or help the enemy. There is no time or space with which to train here, and frankly I am concerned I will be slaughtered the second we arrive..."

Her blue eyes grew more troubled but her paces around the room stopped. She turned to face the girl, not minding if Sil sat in the conversation.

"I just...I mean...is there anything I can do to prepare myself for this? Or should I just sleep it off and worry no more?"

She knew even as she said this, she would not stop worrying.

"You...have a Saiyan in your ranks, Karas, who I have heard seems to be mostly attuned to technology...Do you think it might be worth discussing it with him? Would he have anything at all that might give me an edge in this upcoming battle?"

She realized she was drifting on and at this point she simply stood and waited for a response from Era, or Sil.

Era listened to Eve's concerns and smiled.

"Believe me, Eve. If anyone knows that feeling all too well, it's both Sil and myself. Our power levels were only 300 and 420 respectively while the rest of Raid Group 02A's powers were in excess of 20,000. You think we felt any more useful than you're feeling right now?" She asked with a soft chuckle.

Era sat down and crossed her legs.

"Trust me Eve, you have nothing to worry about. Commander Korvaiis wouldn't have let you come along if he didn't think you would be of benefit to this mission." She assured.

"It's true Eve. Era and I were much weaker than you when we were recruited into Raid Group 02A. We came back from nearly every mission beaten to within mere inches of our lives, but we always persevered because the Commander had faith and confidence in us even when we didn't have it in ourselves." Sil chimed in.

Era nodded.

"If you're worried about coming back alive, Eve, then here's my honest recommendation: Stay within eyesight of one of us at all times. We're part of a team. We look out for one another. Sil and I never fight alone despite our power levels being as high as they are because we know we're stronger together than apart. Some see it as weakness and their pride won't allow it, but if there's one thing I learned in this Raid Group it's that pride plays no part in whether or not you return alive from a mission. In fact, it often ensures death. Learning to swallow your pride and fight as a unit is what will get you home alive when a battle turns against you." Era said with her smile fading to a more serious expression.

After leaving Karas' house, Raze left and decided to train with Dicchio. He went to his house to find Dicchio already training. Raze smiled and powered up. Then he flew over to Dicchio and joined him. They both trained together, doing everything possible, jumping jacks, push ups, running laps, sparring, meditating, all that.

They trained until noon, when they recieved the transmission from Korvaiis. They were among the last to get there but they secured spots in the front. After a little while Korvaiis started. Raze and Dicchio both listened intently as Korvaiis spoke. When finished, Raze and Dicchio were both hesitant in stepping forward.

Destroying the supply line would almost certainly get them noticed by Inecros, but it would be an advantage for them. Raze though about 02A as he watched each of them step forward. He thought about all of his training sessions with Sil and Era. He thought about when he went to apply for recruitment with Nei. He thought about his first time meeting Korvaiis. He thought about earlier that morning, building machines with Karas. He thought about eating with Dicchio. And it hit him.

He had to do it, not for the Saiyan race, but because the rest of his "family" was doing it.

He grabbed Dicchio's hand and pulled him along with him as he stood next to Karas and Era, alongside Korvaiis. After Eve and the rest of Rakton's raid group stepped up, Raze and Dicchio followed Korvaiis to the ship and entered. They were given a room. Although Dicchio slept day in and day out, save for when Korvaiis calls for him and when he eats, Raze decided to learn more about the Zy'leth civilization and he spent most of his time in the main control room, learning about the alien vessel.

One day, he was working with the Zy'leth pilot and noticed a distress signal, he motioned to the pilot and the Zy'leth pulled up the message,

"This is Combatant Zarytto of Commander Dandel's raiding unit ... I've been hit by an asteroid and my ship is drifting! ... ... If youcan hear me, send --" That's all that was heard before the call went dead.

Raze traced Zarytto's ship using the distress signal. His ship was approximately one Tick away. Raze sent a message to Korvaiis requesting permission to change course to respond to the distress signal.

The fighters of Raid Group 12W were, depending on the member, shocked, overjoyed, discombobulated, or at a loss for words. Most were looking forward to the Raid Group's new future with Rakton ousted from command. A few people in the room, however, including Karas, were disturbed and concerned by what Korvaiis had said. Korvaiis had just admitted that the soldiers of 12W and 02A had no formal command structure with Metahnn destroyed. However, with this knowledge in mind, Korvaiis effectively assumed command himself without question, giving himself enough authority to take Rakton away and even demote him. Not that the members of 12W cared all that much, since Korvaiis had a trustworthy reputation and they wanted Rakton gone anyway.

However, there was a certain phrase Karas had learned from his time interacting with humans: 'Absolute power corrupts absolutely.' Back on Metahnn, the Raid Group had some level of government oversight, and even Korvaiis reported to someone. Of course, they both despised the Metahnn government, and Korvaiis had proven himself an able commander, but it was a bit scary knowing that there was no-one to stop Korvaiis if he went nuts. Well, there was--Black Comedy--but Korvaiis was a smart fighter, and Black Comedy was just an especially powerful combat robot. Not to mention Korvaiis had already trained with Black Comedy, he knew the robot's moves.

But this was a fear for another time. He refocused on the task at hand. Korvaiis had assigned him--him! to be Rakton's 'overseer.' Keeping a spoiled, angry Super Elite in check with his low power level would be an abysmal experience, and he knew it. But he had an idea on what to do with Rakton and his power. All the arrogant ex-Commander had done was destroy, in both a literal and a figurative sense. Rakton needed to do something constructive for a change. And besides, Karas could use the manpower. And frankly, a reformed Rakton would help everyone. In a way, Rakton was like a living manifestation of the Saiyan race at its worst extreme. Selfishness, hubris, entitlement, cruelty, disregard for sentient life...Rakton had those qualities in spades. If he could fix Rakton, fixing the rest of his species wouldn't be an issue.

The Super Elite in question was both glum and incredulous. Working under Karas was a humiliation beyond words. The amputee was an engineer! One with a weak power level at that! But he had resolved to avoid digging his own grave even deeper than it already was. And if that meant swallowing his precious pride, he would do so. He remained silent as he left the room, his mind a whirlwind of emotion and thoughts on his dire situation. He returned to his room without incident and waited there, barely able to keep himself from trashing the place in his rage.

Karas said to his commanding officer, "Well, Commander, I guess I'll be heading back to my lab until you decide--" Karas was cut off by his modded scouter receiving a subspace transmission. It sounded like a Saiyan distress signal! Karas said, "I just got a Saiyan subspace distress call, coming from an asteroid belt that's on the way to the planet we're heading to. Combatant Zarytto under Commander Dandel, stranded and drifting in the 'belt. Are we going to rescue him?"

Korvaiis kept a careful eye on Rakton as he made his exit from the War Council Room, and was caught somewhat off guard by the interruption the distress signal brought.

Korvaiis listened to the transmission as it was brought through and had to dig through his memory to remember who Commander Dandel was. All Commanders of Raid Groups had met at some point or another during their careers... Ah, that was it!

"Yes. Send a rescue pod to pick his up and tow it to the Docking Bay and prepare a medical team as well." He ordered.

Once the order was given Korvaiis departed the War Council Room and made his way to the Bridge. Upon arrival he took a seat and found Urod waiting for him.

"So what is the verdict, Commander?" Urod asked.

"What do you mean?" Korvaiis asked.

"About how to prepare for our approach and arrival to Outpost Planet 0XX-12-U. They won't just let us land there you know. Not before they try to identify us and, if we resist, board or destroy the vessel."

Korvaiis closed his eyes and took a breath.

"The best way I can think of to approach is slowly. The faster we move the more hostile our actions will be interpreted as. When contact is made we will have Xol inform them that our ship is damaged and in need of repairs. Because they're an Outpost and their main function is the transfer of resources, they're not likely to turn down potential clients. However, if they do in fact inform us that landing is not an option and try to move us along... Well, I have to admit that I am struggling to find a way to force a safe landing. I will have to consult Xol about his opinion on the matter. But the day is late so I will let everyone rest for now." He replied.

"Very good, sir. Then with your permission I will take my leave."

"Granted."

Urod left the Bridge and Korvaiis remained in his seat contemplating their options. He had to figure out a safe method of landing if their ruse with ship troubles didn't work. With their low numbers and their power levels where they were it was a gamble even if their ruse worked. If the ruse did work he could attempt to blindside their strongest warrior to destroy their chain of command and execute those who were next in line on the chain to further disorient them and take over quickly... If it didn't work, then what could they do to minimize the risk to their weaker members?

He couldn't just leave them on the ship. It was too big and too easy a target once they were on or near the surface. He had to find a way to keep the weaker members alive while ensuring they had their taste of battle... But how?

Eve focused in on Era as she spoke, did she just say that her power level was a meer 300 when she first joined the raid group? That would mean her power level has sky rocketed almost 100 times that! Eve's eyes were huge, how was that even possible? Was that due to that potential unlocked she had shown her earlier?! She had heard of saiyan's power level's increasing exponentially due to battle and near death experience's but this just seemed inconceivable...If her power increase was anything to go by, would it be safe to assume in 6 months time she too might be able to even reach 50 times that of her current power? It was possible, Eve had never been in a battle she would call worthy of near death, to faciliate that sharp a spark in growth. Eve looked to Sil as she spoke and her shoulders seemed to relax ever so slightly. This...team work thing. It was so very perplexing to her. She couldn't seem to grasp the idea, after years of being alone and fighting one on one. Though it did occur to her the enemy would be working as a group as well, so it made sense to attack as one.

"Thank you....for your kind words. I will make sure to stay together with you two, or any other of our comrades..." She hesitated as her shoulders softened and her blue eyes drew hazy.

"I only ever grew up being told what to do....This team work thing is...confusing for me....but I will try my best..." A big, genuine grin now lighting up her face. It almost completely changed her look, moving her arms behind her head with her elbows to the sky, fingers interlocking at the back of her neck.

"Just gotta survive..." She grinned.

Raze received Korvaiis orders and went to the Medbay and ordered two of the improved medbots to follow him to a rescue pod. Although he learned how to fly it, he decided not to take any risks at a first attempt at alien technology. He waited for a more experienced pilot to board. He sent a message to Eve, asking her if she'd like to take part, knowing that it's be better for everyone if they learned to interact with each other before their major battle.

There is a stigma that men are more powerful than women, but I beg to differ. I’ll show you the power of a Saiyan who is also a woman!

"To grow up alone is a fate unbecoming of a Saiyan, but it has made me stronger than I dared hope. I can only continue to hope, and with luck I'll always have Era by my side to push me to even greater heights."

Era smiled at Eve and gave her a soft clap on the back.

"Don't worry. It's much easier than you think to fight as a team. Just stay within eye and earshot, call out potential dangers to the two of us, and fight your hardest. That's really all there is to it." She said cheerfully.

Sil chuckled.

"What?!"

"Don't worry about too much Eve. Fighting as part of a team is something you've been doing for a while if you've been in a Raid Group for any decent length of time. Even if you find your own place on the battlefield and let the others fight for themselves, you're still part of a team and your cooperation and participation is making a difference for their benefit. Just focus on keeping Era and I in sight and do what you usually do and you'll be just fine."

Era pouted.

"... That's what I said," she grumbled.

"True but you made it sound so casual. Such a straightforward response isn't always what people want to hear you know. Sometimes further clarification is needed to set nerves at ease as well. So I thought I'd cover all the bases." She said with a laugh.

Era's eyes narrowed and her lips pursed slightly in irritation much to Sil's amusement.

"Don't mind Era's pouty faces too much Eve. This is her when she's relaxed and comfortable. Even if she appears to be getting hostile she's really not."

Era crossed her arms under her breasts and leaned against the wall with a mildly irritated expression and glared at Sil the whole time while her friend paid her no attention.

Eve glanced between the two girls and chuckled lightly, this closeness was so foreign and yet she couldn't help but smile. She was going to say something when a blip came up on her scouter so she turned away from the girls, pressing the intercom. She listened carefully before her eyes narrowed thoughtfully.

"I'll be right there....." She responded to Raze, before turning back to Era and Sil.

"There is a pod with a distress signal, I believe one of your comrade's requests my presence. Raze I believe his name is. Anyway, I'll leave you girls to it. Thank you for your help." Taking a strangely formal bow, hand crossed over her chest, it was a habit she had yet to break. With that she turned on her heel and left the room, feeling the air pulse near her as the door closed behind her. She strode down the corridor's with square set shoulders, making most people move out of her path simply by her presence and the way she held herself. She eventually came to the launch bay where a rescue pod was waiting. She approached the man she believed was called Raze, she had only seen him in passing as they gathered to board the ship a mere few hours ago. Her sky blue eyes drifting over the med-bots thoughtfully.

"You requested me?" She said in a formal tone, grimacing as she did, she really wished she could break that habit. These were her allies not some Upper class/Elite Saiyan's. "I'm not sure what I can do to help, however I will do whatever it is you need me to." She said trying very hard to subdue the fever like intensity in her voice. She thrived on orders, though she always tried not to show it. The slightest hint of a shiver running through her body.

Raze chuckled at Eve's formality, " Since you're now a part of our team, I felt it would help you if you went on a mission with some of us, so we could practice being a team before our actual battle." Raze pulled up the recording of the distress signal and let it play as he went over the details. "Our mission is to rescue Combatant Zarytto who's ship is drifting in an asteroid belt. As it's a rescue mission, it will be imperative that everyone works together, so what better way to practice teamwork," he said with a slight chuckle," Although I can do other things, I'm mostly here to be the medic, just in case."

Raze checked his scouter, and sent out an all call for help with the rescue mission, since they needed a pilot, and two scouts/brute force minimum, as that's how many they usually need. Raze expected either Karas or one of Xol's friends to pilot, but he had no idea about who would be scouting, "I believe we are still waiting for two or three more people, (@Kyero @Genon Who else is going on the rescue mission) so I suggest just preparing yourself for take off, and if you have any questions for me, about the mission or about the people in 02A, I'll do my best to answer them..." he ended with a smile, then he took off his scouter, exposing his green left eye and yellow right eye, to program the Medbots so they're prepared for the mission.

"Alright. I managed to complete some medbots before launch, so I'll take those. Anyway...I guess I'll get going now," Karas said as he left the room through the motorized door, which closed behind him. When he got back to his lab to retrieve the medbots, he found that they were gone. It was likely that Raze had taken them, so he thought nothing of it and proceeded to the appropriate rescue pod.

@Anime King Kaleb

@Zuka

Karas entered the rescue pod as the airlock closed behind him, overhearing Raze's offering of answers, taking a seat in the pilot's chair and turning around to face his two groupmates. He said, "Hey Eve. Nice to meet you. Name's Karas, and I'm open to questions too. Also, Raze, are we waiting on anyone else or are we it?" As he said this, he began to set up the small craft for launch, flipping switches and pressing buttons. He wasn't the best pilot, but he generally knew how these things worked, and it was mostly on autopilot anyway. The pilot was only supposed to take control in emergencies, and the average ship's UI was designed to be idiot-proof. He wouldn't launch until everyone arrived, but he couldn't launch without the pre-flight operations anyway, so he needed to do this.

Raze checked his scouter and saw that many people declined the all call although, Sil and Era haven't responded yet." I think this may be all Karas as Sil and Era are the only ones who haven't responded yet but I'm sure they will respond before you finish pre-flight operations(@Kyero Will Sil and/or Era join the mission as well or should we launch) so we're free to leave when the pre-flight operations are complete..." Raze put his scouter back down and continued to program the Medbots. After a minute, he was finished and he sat in a seat and began to study one of his medical science textbooks.

Eve watched Raze chuckle at her with an upturned eyebrow, was her formality really that obvious? The details of the mission seemed straight forward enough, they were just rescuing a Saiyan afterall, how hard could that be? When he took the scounter off his eye to reveal the two different colours, she noticed I mean who wouldn't, but she paid it no heed. He turned to the Med-bots to program them, to which she realised he must have a speciality in medical sciences. She was one to always be watching, taking things in.

She turned slightly as that robotic armed Saiyan arrived and seated himself as the pilot. She tilted her head towards him, shaking with the effort to not bow.

"So we have a Medic, a Pilot and a Damn fine looking Solider. I think we will be fine...It's only a rescue mission afterall. How hard can it be?" A soft grin working it's way onto her face. She was starting to open up to her peers, and see them as equals rather then her superiors though it would still take some time.

When Eve grinned, Raze smiled, "You're getting used to the team already ..." He closed his textbook and pulled something labeled "Soda" out of the mini fridge labeled "Earth Drinks". He open ed d the bottle, "Just think of us as family. Especially as we get to know you better and likewise you get to know us better ..." He took a sip of the clear, bubbly liquid, " If you ask me, it tastes great but on a medical standpoint, it dehydrated easier than water." Raze opens the mini fridge again and pulls our a second one and holds it out to Eve, "Would you like to try one ... Overall, many of the foods and beverages that comes from Earth are delicious ..." Raze took another sip of his soda, "Although some are healthy and some are ... not very healthy." Raze said with a grin.

"By the way, Eve, I brought a friend along." As Karas finished his sentence, a large, imposing, nine-foot-tall robot with a white front half and a black back half and four arms entered the pod through the airlock, taking a seat and strapping in like the others. "This is Black Comedy, my most elite combat 'bot. He's here if anything goes awry, like space pirates attacking or something." Karas continued pressing buttons before bringing up a chart on the navigational display, which showed a subspace pulse being released which charted the nearby space, a ring-shaped cluster of contacts showing up in the shape of an asteroid belt. A line emerged from the blue dot in center of the screen, representing the ship, to just outside the ring of dots representing the asteroid belt of their target system.

"Alright, pre-flight operations complete, Space Karas is lifting off. We hope you enjoy your flight."

Then, Karas pressed a green switch that launched the rescue pod out of its tube at incredibly high speeds, causing everyone onboard to feel the intense g-forces. Then, with the pod about a mile out of its tube, the ship began to list as it oriented itself in space towards its target. Then the ship began accelerating until the FTL drive activated in full, causing the stars around them to rapidly shift, moving out of their previous positions as the crew's retinas encountered light from different time periods. Mirages of planets and burning stars and silent moons appeared to flicker before their eyes as they encountered photons that originated from or were reflected off of objects that were no longer there. In general, it was considered a fool's errand to figure out what was going on via sight alone when a craft went FTL. The navigational system knew what was happening, but the eye was hopelessly confused.

Eventually, the ship gradually slowed down to a halt as the FTL drive safely deactivated, retrothrusters allowing the ship to come to a halt without killing the crew. The ship was surrounded by asteroids, though they were much farther apart than one might think from watching too many sci-fi movies.

"Now that we're here, I just need to find our new friend."

Floating in a relatively open part of the 'belt, Karas pressed a button, causing a holographic green sphere to appear, with a central blue dot representing the spacecraft. He then pressed another button and caused a yellow sphere to grow in size inside the green sphere, highlighting various other points of light as it passed. Karas had sent out a SUDAR (Subspace Detection and Ranging) pulse into the surrounding space. SUDAR was both fast enough to cover massive distances in a short amount of time, and was precise enough to identify objects with. Thus, the SUDAR came across mostly asteroids, but also lots of junk, and it signaled such on-screen. However, a purple dot appeared in the holographic chart, designating a neutral spacecraft. It appeared to be staying still to the untrained eye, but to beings of the crew's power levels it appeared to be almost imperceptibly moving, consistent with a drifting ship.

"Well, looks like that purple dot is who we came here for. Let's hope his hull hasn't breached yet," Karas said grimly as he touched the purple dot and a wavy line appeared between the blue dot and purple one, avoiding the grey dots that designated asteroids. The ship began to list once more as the small rescue pod began darting between the moving asteroids with the kind of cold precision that only a machine could accomplish.

(@Kyero @Anime King Kaleb @Lord Zanicus @Zuka Do you want me to put in some kind of event, like space pirates or an Inecros patrol?)

Eve's grin turned into a strange little smile, it was strange to be talking one on one rather then yes sir, no sir. It wasn't bad, mind you, but it was awkward for her to say the least. She grasped the soda Raze offered with a bewilded look on her face, other then escaping Metahnn's destruction she had only ever stayed on their home world, this foreign beverage really confused her. In fact, this was the first time other then the escape vessel she had even been in space, having never done a Raid or gone off world. She held the can with a stern expression at the object, before taking a side long glance and watching Raze open it to drink. She avoided making a fool out of herself by simply following his lead, drinking slowly. She wasn't expecting bubbles however, so they rather quickly flooded her nose, causing her to cough and sniffle, turning away to try and hide her idiocy.

"It's...ahh....different... I think I'll stick to water though, thank you." Composing herself before she turned back to face him.

Then as she was offering him back the nearly full can, a towering robot glided in, causing her pale blue eyes to go massive. In suprise she simply dropped the can. Did Karas really build that thing?! She had never seen anything like it at Metahnn. With a gulp, and eyeing as the robot strapped itself in, she decided it would be best if she did the same, walking to some seats lining the walls of the vessel, shifting her arms through the harness and clicking it in place, before lifting a long, powerful leg to cross over the other. She even lifted a hand to start slowly control the mass of her hair into a tight, high ponytail on her head. Well apart from make a complete fool of herself she had yet to delay their mission due to her inexperience, so win win right? Her eyes floating to the window to watch the stars fly on past, getting to were they needed and her ears attuned to listen to anything that might happen. She kept her gaze onto the ships's navigation controls. They fascinated her but she really had no idea what any of those buttons and lights did. If she kept her mouth shut and simply watched, she might learn a thing or two.

The explosion was glorious. On the screen was the now rapidly proliferating debris of yet another of the Saiyan's home worlds.

"Fabulous! Simply fabulous!!" Came the joyous cry of one of the bridge crewmen.

"I can hardly believe My Lord is so powerful to end a planet with not but a flick of his finger!" Another chimed in.

"That was Planet Shingu, correct? That makes three of the Saiyan Home Worlds in total so far." Came the voice of another.

"Yes." Said the first.

"Interesting. They have seventeen Home Worlds in all, correct? At this rate we'll be finished in the next few weeks. Not bad at all!" Said the third.

"Indeed. We'll be-"

The doors opened behind them and they all came to attention.

"My Lord Inecros, on deck!!" Shouted the second.

"At ease, everyone."

"YES MY LORD!" Came the unified response.

"Status report."

"Yes, My Lord! Planet Shingu is destroyed as are all inhabitants. No space pods or other vessels were reported leaving the planet before or during the explosion."

"Excellent. I have no intention of letting this scourge escape my wrath again. A few centuries ago they managed to escape because their friends bought them time. But not this time. Nobody escapes me twice, friends or no."

"Indeed so, My Lord. Few escape you even once."

Inecros's eyes slowly shifted until they landed on the individual who had just spoken.

"What are you implying?" Inecros demanded.

"Nothing, My Lord! Nothing at all!"

"It sounded to me like you were implying that I let my enemies escape from time to time."

"Not at all My Lord! I meant no implications! I was speaking to your credit, My Lord, that nobody escapes you!"

Inecros was silent and pondered the matter for a moment before taking a breath and letting it out on a soft sigh.

"Very well. But bite your tongue next time you feel like speaking when not directly spoken to. Is that understood?"

"Absolutely My Lord! I understand!"

"Good. Then it's time for me to get some rest. Be sure to wake me when we arrive at the next Saiyan Home World. I have... special plans for this one." He said as he turned and left the bridge.

Everyone was silent and mortified beyond words that Inecros had turned his gaze to one of their own for such a simple thing. It was terrifying. He almost killed him. They knew it. That gaze only ever meant death. He was lucky beyond words to be alive right now.

"Remind me never to speak before him again please."

"Will do. If he comes aboard the bridge again, I'll give you this gesture." He said, giving a vertical thumb across his throat.

The other nodded and they all went back to work plotting their course to the next of the Saiyan Home Worlds.

In due time, the ship navigated its way through the asteroid belt, and the crew could soon see a damaged Saiyan ship drifting in the void. "That looks like Zarytto," Karas said. He then tapped the drifting ship on the rescue pod's touchscreen 'window' and went through a drop-down menu on said touchscreen to select the "Take Entire Ship" option. The rescue pod began to initiate an automated program, slowly moving towards Zarytto's damaged ship, using minute thruster adjustments to correct its flight path as it did so. Eventually, the pod oriented itself so it was directly below Zarytto's craft, and encased the beleagured ship in a stasis field.

Karas wasn't detecting any subspace signals from the ship, not even one that would search for networking service, so he knew that it was pointless to try communicating with Zarytto over his Scouter, and if he boarded Zarytto's ship to explain what was going on he might do something rash. The prominent medical imagery featured on the rescue pod's exterior would be enough to signal Karas' intentions.

"Alright, his craft is secure. That stasis field will keep his craft in the same position relative to ours. So if we head back to base, so will he, even at FTL speeds. His comms are shot, and boarding the ship unannounced could make the situation worse. People act differently in stressful situations, and I can't risk him firing a ki blast on instinct. So I'm going to get us back to the ship as fast as we can," Karas explained to the others.

With that, he selected another option, this one labeled "Return to Mothership." With that, both spacecrafts shortly arrived back at the Zy'leth ship. Zarytto's ship was grabbed by a tractor beam and pulled into a section of the ship reserved for rescued or salvaged craft, whereas the rescue pod re-entered its tube.
