[Dracoheim: Tears of Hinnom] [Dracoheim: Tears of Hinnom] The Drums of War

The female wraith tosses a geared assembly into the air, and after it spreads it's wings she moves closer to the shielded party in front of her, while the archer of the wraiths fires an arrow at Cale'Navar, the chimera waiting with the group (AC: 23).

As the arrow buzzes past him, Cale'Navar laughs, an eerie echo that conjures disturbing images in the heads of those near him as he turns to the zombies, spraying them with acid from his draconic mouth.

Due to the massive damage this incurs, the zombies will get a reflex save or die.

Those who make the save will still take 3d8 damage, as noted below (
I won't roll their save if the 3d8 is more than 10 damage).

Nope. They're all destroyed in the 20 foot cone of death.

Madame Eon's eyes turn a milky shade of white as she begins chanting in Celestial, calling down for an avatar of divine energy to join her on the battlefield. The sound of thunder and trumpets is heard in the distance as an elemental of positive energy materializes before her. She speaks to the two elementals before her "Go to the barrier immediately and fight the undead before it, lending the defenders your strength"

The Elemental's charge forth towards the shield swinging at the undead horde to relieve the defenders

One of the elementals lands a glancing blow against one of the undead

As Lisandra loads her little hand crossbow, she searches the hordes of zombies for a specific face. The face of the farmer who gave her such trouble earlier in the battle. Surely after having been slain by her and her lemure the poor bastard's corpse had been raised as one of the many undead now facing them.

[dice]3104[/dice]

The chance that the farmer is still among the zombies and not destroyed would be about 2/3, so I'll roll a three-sider (love the dice roller for that).

On a one, he's been destroyed.

Lisandra spots the farmer's corpse in the zombie horde, only a few yards away (about 8 feet). His left arm seems to be tatters, perhaps from some incident (6HP).

Serjas Puts away his bow and pull out both his blades. (should take his whole turn for that)

Reaching Serjas, Krisin strikes swiftly, attempting to skewer the offensive hero on his rapier, but his blade goes wide, missing its mark.

[dice]3222[/dice]

That attack bonus should be +10, as I forgot his sword's bonus, though that changes nothing on this strike.

Freya continued her advance towards the besieged troops. They were nearly there.

"Come on, the sooner we regroup, the sooner we can push back."

Lisandra sneers at the farmer's corpse. To her mind, a man should know when he is supposed to be dead and not come back to haunt a woman. For such a pathetic creature to make a fool of her in life, she was determined that he would not make a fool out of her in death. She takes a deep breath as she levels her hand crossbow at the zombie farmer's face, her every motion stilled as she took careful aim. At this short of distance to miss would be more than humiliating. As she exhales she squeezes the trigger and looses her bolt hoping for the head shot to be final.

[dice]3543[/dice]

Lisandra sees the bolt strike the farmer square in the eyes and lets out a cheer of success for her minor victory. She sees the farmer fall to the ground, but whether it was from her shot or the barrier spell, she couldn't be sure, all the same she turns to the group and says in the common tongue, "We must get in closer to those wraiths. These undead are a distraction, if we can destroy the wraiths we may find the horde much diminished!" And with that she moves once again towards the back of the group while inserting another bolt into her crossbow. Once loaded, she reaches up to give her familiar a gentle caress before whispering to it to take flight. As the raven takes flight she looks to make sure that the farmer was not getting up again.

As the zombies slam against the holy shield, they crumble from the aura's touch as it begins to falter.

The protections now gone, a shriek of joy rises up from the wraiths as the remaining zombies begin to march forward on the adventurers with the remnants of the once-powerful army.

Wraith in the face, not good! Parker ducked backwards and with a flourish of hand said, "Bamf." And disappeared.

5ft step to get out of AOO, casting Vanish

Shyto realizes that this battle is not going well. Shyto decides to take the fight to the closest wraith, knowing that this can help end battle sooner. Shyto begins to Tumble thru the mass of zombies to get close enough to the nearest boss. Clutching his staff, he demonstrates the flips and agile manuevers he has practiced since a small little monkey man.

OOC- Not sure where the nearest the wraith is by looking at the map, or how many checks are needed. I know I may not be able to make the attack this turn, but I will roll up the attacks and tumbling. If they dont make it this turn, let them carry over to the next turn.

You only need one roll per turn.

And the wraiths are at the far south end of the zombies, both being about equal in distance from
Shyto.

In other words, pick one of the dots.

Blue for the Artificer and Brown for the Ranger.

Also, the DC for your current area would have been 20, so you succeeded.

And I'll have the last two wraiths take their turn in a bit. Trying to decide their actions while tired isn't working.

Shyto will move towards the Artificer with a loud Vallaran battle yell to attempt to strike the foe down. Shyto is hoping that as he leads this advance it will inspire others to strike at the heart of this problem as well!!!

[QUOTE="Ker'ion]The female wraith tosses a geared assembly into the air, and after it spreads it's wings she moves closer to the shielded party in front of her,...

[/QUOTE]As the vanaran surges through the horde of zombies, Fashin fires an arrow at him, aiming to impede his advance towards Taladria as she hastily calls her automaton to attack the incoming foe (Shyto's AC is 19 and his Touch AC is 18).[dice]4420[/dice][dice]4421[/dice]As Fashin's arrow buzzes past Shyto, his back is seared with a ray of pure flames (Scorching Ray), burning hair and cloth as Shyto's body erupts in pain from the attack.[dice]4422[/dice]

Serjas swings both his blades at Krisin, striking out as quickly a precisely as possible.

(Let me know if these hit and confirm and Ill roll damage)

As the round cycled, the allied NPCs are going.

As the rangers pick off enemies left and right, Cale'Nevar watches the enemy, guarding the group with his breath weapons and Galesh keeps a close guard on the human cleric Wren as she calls on the power of Cavanesh, The Goddess of Fate in Life to banish the undead from her sight, as searing rays of golden light envelop the field around her in a bright flash, scouring the undead that dare to come too near (instant [3d6]x2, I'm not rolling because there is a better than 50/50 they'll just die, only having 18 HP).

Meanwhile, the triplets,
Talaria, Knives, and Kin take the opportunity to charge through the distraction and lend their support to the wounded Shyto, picking off any zombie that comes too close to them or him.

Wakazashi Damage: totals for a 13

Lisandra realizes she has range on just about every enemy, and picks her target with care. Two undamaged wraiths are still leading hordes of the undead against her allies, but one has gone off alone with only a few undead to face down a group that were coming in to join the battle. That group is smaller, but has already dealt damage to the wraith. She quickly decides that to focus their fire on the three big wraiths one at a time would be the best option. The loner is wounded and so that makes it her primary target. Once again, she pulls a rhubarb leaf and an adder's stomach from her component pouch, and pulling out the small dart as her focus again, she points at the wraith and utters her chant as she unleashes a glob of green liquid and fires it.

[dice]5152[/dice]

In a split second the movement of an ally or perhaps the movement of an enemy catches her eye and distracts her as she unleashes the acid arrow causing it to miss completely.

Parker moved swiftly past Madame Eon and the paladin continuing the move toward regrouping. She could keep going, maybe even make the outcropping, but these strange acquaintances were not just allies in this fight. Turning she drew back her bowstring aiming for the wraith's exposed side.

[dice]5153[/dice]

moving 30ft, turning and attacking with a sneak attack (aiming to keep Krisin withing 30ft for both PBS and sneak attack)

I'm guessing that misses despite stealth

And both attacks miss Krisin.

[dice]5160[/dice]

While the acid arrow safely misses Serjas as well.

Shyto continues his assault against the artificer. Knowing he has to summon all his strength and continue fighting for the good of his allies. Shyto spins his mighty staff, striking fiercly at the Artificer in a flurry of blows.

Shyto strikes but the Artificer quickly dodges to one side. Seeing an opening in his defense Shyto strikes fast and hard. His training pays off as the staffs lands a dazing blow to the chest.
